Sparrow Outpatient Rehabilitation Center - Sparrow Professional Building

Negative experience: Daughter suffering from post concussion syndrome. Took her here for evaluation for PT and OT. The lady that did the PT was amazing but the OT person was horrible. Was very dismissive of my daughters symptoms and kept saying my other patients can't do that. Ended up not going here because of it. Saw an eye specialist today, diagnosed with binocular vision dysfunction due to brain trauma. Started syntonic light therapy to help her left eye lag. Which is probably still causing her headaches, dizziness and nausea. Just remember, if it's not a good fit there's always another person willing to help when one doesn't take you seriously.

Fantastic experience: A visit to Sparrow Professional Building. MSU rehabilitation services. 5th floor. I parked on the 1st level of the parking garage. The best entrance for me anyway. Up to the 5th floor and my appointment for rehabilitation/manipulation Very friendly staff to check in. They were not busy today and I got right into my appointment. Overall a good experience here today. I appreciate everything that I had done. Thank You

Fantastic experience: I couldn't walk after a half marathon and was walking abnormally to offset the pain I was having since November of 2022. I had been to a PCP, Podiatrist, and had a nerve study conducted, and when no diagnosis was given and had no hope, I asked for a referral for PT. Thankfully, I was matched with Mandy S. She was extremely professional, and knew exactly what she was doing. She diagnosed me within minutes of being in her room when no one else could, and after only a few sessions of being with her, my pain decreased and I am now walking pain free with hope. I am so thankful for her, and HIGHLY recommend her services!

Fantastic experience: I was skeptical at first about whether therapy would help my situation but after working with Mandi my knee is feeling much better. She took the extra steps in helping me stretch out the necessary muscles in my legs. I'm not at 100% yet but she helped me come up with a home plan of exercises to perform now that my 4 week therapy session has ended. Thanks Mandi! You rock!

Fantastic experience: Day #6 and Day #7 I’m so thankful for Sparrow Peds Rehab. I’m thankful for our amazing team. I’m thankful for Mrs. Shannon and I am so thankful for her amazing dedication to my Hug. She’s the first person we see before we start our therapy; she goes above and beyond. She has come out of her office to give Hugo a giant Hug before appointments if he’s having a rough day. Hugo takes a business card after each session and tells her, he’ll call her sometime. So many times through this journey it’s easy to tell people you’re fine because you ask yourself, do people really want to hear what’s on your heart. Shannon has asked and I’ve broke down in frustration with the insurance company or resources that we haven’t received and she’s comforted me and is just all around an angel on earth. She’s the best and I’m really going to miss her when she leaves. Ms. Carol is just as kind and she’ll be taking over and Hugo really likes her too! Franka, Allyssa, Carrie, Kelly, Tonia, Gina; the absolute best. Honestly, I feel like the quality and commitment these therapist have that work at Sparrow Peds Rehab is impeccable and they are ALL amazing! My heart is so full, when I observe the care and interaction with all of the kiddos. We are blessed to be in the best hands. I’m also thankful for Hug and J’s pediatric Dr and assistant. I’m very sad he’s leaving, Dr Koon is the kindest and most thorough and Ashton is the best assistant; the care and compassion from Capital Area Pediatrics is outstanding. #thankfulfordays
