Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Reneé for over a month now, and physical therapy with her is changing my life! I didn’t know what to expect, but physical therapy has been great. Reneé is so wise, kind, and practical. She listens with such clarity and leaves me feeling seen after every visit. I am getting stronger, more stable, and am gaining a deeper awareness of my body and how it moves. I appreciate how adaptable she is to what is happening with my body, and her focus on ensuring I am as pain free as possible. I’d recommend Healing Hands, and Reneé, to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Lee is absolutely wonderful and is very knowledgeable about hypermobility, connective tissue disorders, and the associated co-morbidities. If you are looking for a more gentle approach to physical therapy that tailors care to your specific issues and stabilizing and strengthening unstable joints, this is the place to go. They also were a great help in the process of working with insurance and an ATP for getting a mobility device covered.

Fantastic experience: Probably my 5th or 6th round of phsical therapy with Healing Hands. Their therapists are top in their field, the staff are efficient, the facility is clean and I have always improved immensely when my therapy sessions have ended.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been really impressed with Teresa Passamani MPT for all the good work, she’s done for me off and on over the last few years. I’ve had a very complex medical history and numerous injuries and medical conditions, causing physical impairments and functional limitations that have significantly reduced my quality of life. Teresa combines deep knowledge of her profession and a wicked sense of humor resulting in a positive experience coping with pain and sometimes slow progress. I’ve made faster progress than I expected, and I am feeling the best I have in years. I’ve regained my ability to walk with more confidence and better balance. My pain is minimal and life is good again. You can’t go wrong with seeing Teresa.

Fantastic experience: I had my first surgery for scoliosis in 7th grade about 1963. When that fusion using pieces of my own hip bone failed at age 50 I had it again t2 to L2 in 2010. Through it all have had physical therapy but this is the first strictly developed for scoliosis, Meghan is awesome. This place is an answer to prayer,

Fantastic experience: I did PT with Alex Wood and she was excellent. She listened and created a program to fit my needs. I have several chronic pain issues, and she tailored a program to challenge me, but also worked around my limitations without judgement. She gave me options within each stretch or exercise to allow me to slowly increase the difficulty. I saw results quickly and feel I have the tools I need to continue to progress in my recovery!

She takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and tailor exercises based on how I’m progressing rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Fantastic experience: I appreciate Ryan Hall’s knowledge of how the body works and the various exercise strategies he has worked out. I also like that I can review them later on line since at my age I tend to forget. Healing Hands doesn’t just cure the pain (hip) but gives strategies on how to carry oneself during the day to prevent the problem from coming back. At least this is what Ryan does. Also, he is very personable and kind and good at explaining things and seems genuinely interested in my welfare.

Fantastic experience: Ryan was very attentive to all my needs, especially my apprehension beginning therapy while my back was healing. His knowledge regarding back healing helped me immensely. Going slow and steady gave me the confidence to continue the stretches and exercises at home. He sent videos to help me remember the key points of our sessions which helped me at home. I am happy that my PMR doctor suggested I look at Healing Hands for my back therapy. I will stay “plugged in” knowing how to lift light objects and bend correctly without injuring my back.

They are patient, kind, calm, very knowledgeable about hypermobility and trauma, and continually educating themselves. I have recommended them and healing hands to over a dozen people at this point. The transformation I experienced in going to healing hands is hard for me to describe, I never expected to learn so much about myself or my body, or to experience the level of healing that I did. I have received care from Kim during two different treatment sessions, and on both occasions she was always pleasant, friendly and provided thorough assessments. During the most recent visits she was very patient as I described my multiple joint issues, the results of various X-rays and helped me determine which exercises would work best for my needs.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Healing Hands for several years for injuries related to a long term connective tissue disorder that I have to manage...I work with Keli and she is exceptionally talented....She has helped me get to a better place than I ever thought possible, which is such a relief after living with chronic pain for years. Kim was professional and worked through the entire session seldom making notes. She throughly answered questions I had. I like the privacy HH provides with each therapist having a private room. Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic practice. Renee was wonderful. She is a great listener and then adapts exercises to meet your needs. I have severe shoulder math for months before seeing her for the first time. Within a few weeks, it was dramatically better. She explains why certain exercises are important to keep doing. Because I understand the cause of my pain, I’m much more motivated to DO the exercises for the rest of my life. No other PT has been this good for me - and I’ve been to a lot of PTs over the years!

Fantastic experience: I saw Sara for neck and shoulder pain. She is a true healer. I drove 35 minutes for my appointments and would do it again in a heartbeat. Her care was personally and skillfully exceptional. The office staff is competent and considerate. They are a rare gem.

Fantastic experience: After working with the PT at UofM's spine program for 6 months to only have my cervical spine issues get worse and worse, I made the switch and started working with Yohan at Healing Hands. I was so impressed with him from day one, where he came in with a plan that he explained to me in simple terms and had me bought in. We worked together 2x per week for 5 months and my pain improved immensely. Even though I'm done with my visits, I still do my routine daily at home and am maintaining the progress we made. Fantastic experience: Amira Tal-Henig has been a miracle worker with my TMJ. When I started PT I could barely open my mouth, eat or sleep through the pain. I have made a lot of progress in six appointments. It is literally, day and night difference. Like most PT, it isn't a picnic but Amira is always checking in with my pain level. Fantastic experience: I worked with Makenzie Karr for about 4 months on problems and pain in my back and hips. She was just terrific! From hands-on manipulation and cupping, to various exercises and tips on body mechanics, she solved my problems. Following her advice about maintenance exercises, I am now pain- free! I can't praise her knowledge and caring enough. I will go back to her if I experience any other issues. The whole office was kind, thorough, and helpful. After decades of rigorous and repetitious work in the machining industry I added tending to my energetic twin grandsons and becoming the caregiver to my elderly parents to my repertoire. The endless pain I was ignoring for years finally became too much! My doctor (highly) recommended going to Healing Hands for Physical Therapy. What a great place! The front staff is welcoming and happy to help and the atmosphere is friendly and calming. They are staffed with wonderful therapists with multiple specialties. I was so lucky to be paired with, the best of the best, Ryan Hall! A completely dedicated, caring, and amazingly brilliant therapist! He has thorough knowledge of the muscles and their connection to all the systems in the body including how they are connected to the brain and breath. He is very observant and patiently listens to me with a non-judgmental attitude and then easily diagnosis any issue and develops a personalized solution with many exercises he personally develops. He explains everything and gives YOU the tools to take ownership of your healing process. He makes videos of himself doing and explaining many of the exercises and concepts so you know exactly what to do and can refer to them anytime. I could go on and on, but you really just need to make an appointment with Ryan if you are in need of PT. I was physically debilitated and even at times, mentally and emotionally depleted from the trauma of caregiving for my dying parents. The therapy, knowledge, and sincere kindness I have received from Ryan has profoundly changed my life! I now have minimal manageable pain, and I can troubleshoot and prevent oncoming issues. After two years of dealing with nerve discomfort and working with two other PT organizations, I finally found the right diagnosis and treatment under their care. As an athlete who skateboards, works out six days a week (strength training and bike zone endurance training), and is also a musician, I chose Lee specifically for her experience in music, thinking she could better understand my lifestyle and find a solution. Fantastic experience: I picked this place for physical therapy on my hands because of the wonderful reviews. And now I’d like to add my own review of the outstanding care that I got from Renee. She is a great listener and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about my hand issues. After a thorough examination in which she reviewed my x-rays, that were on myUM portal, and much manipulation of my hands, she showed me some massages and exercises that should improve my situation. She was very conscious of time and made sure that she was able to give me some treatment and advice for moving forward before I left her office. I will continue my program with her and keep her on my list of Go To practitioners. I am doing another round of physical therapy, this time with Alex Wood for pelvic floor therapy. She is awesome, too! She is perky and very knowledgeable In this specialty field. We had to adjust my routine because I popped a rib at home, but she was able to quickly figure out what other movements I could make without further injuring myself. This is such an easy and effective practice to deal with.

Fantastic experience: It is with great pleasure that I recommend Renee Kirbs as an outstanding physical therapist at Healing Hands in Ann Arbor. I saw Renee for pain that I was having as the result of a fall I had had a few months ago. Renee was highly skilled at assessing my functionality and addressing the issues I was having. She prescribed exercises to do at home in addition to the exercises at my pt secessions. She also did ultra sound treatments and manual therapy. Renee was incredibly gifted at using all of these techniques. I finally felt relief from the pain I was having for the past five months. Renee is very professional and very reassuring. Fantastic experience: I had regular PT for my hip and sciatic issues that did not fix the problem.I was recommended to go to Healing Hands.The best treatment I have EVER had.I could barely walk when I got there.The pain in my hip radiated down into my ankle Sara was the one I saw and after just one treatment I felt better She did manipulation at first and sent me home with easy exercises that I could incorporate into my daily routine.In later sessions did a treatment called Dry Needling which retrains the muscles so they don't spasm again. I have my life back thanks to Healing Hands and Sara Thorne

Fantastic experience: I started going to Healing Hands in September. I had fallen twice in 2023 . As a retired RN I knew I must have been experiencing some weakness on my left side. So I went to see my physician and he suggested physical therapy. This is where my story begins, Claire Glover started working with me. Then I took some time away to take care of my daughter daughter in Georgia. While there I took sick, Came back to Michigan. Very ill wind up in the hospital with the open gallbladder surgery. While there in the hospital, They Rapid response me three times . After surgery and two ERCP's, Two blood transfusions and other complications after 13 days I was discharged. I came back to healing, hands working with Claire Glover. I was three times weaker than I was previously. Claire work with me, not only did she strengthen my left weaker side. She also strengthen my entire body sometimes she would listen to me because of the rapid response I had some PTSD, so she suggested counseling which helped me greatly. For me, Clara not only work with my physical body, but my mental wellness and even wound care she gave me things to do to break up adhesions on all the wounds I have on my abdomen . Both of these practitioners are AMAZING. In addition to being extremely skilled in the art of PT and their respective specialties, both of them are deeply compassionate. I felt cared for and safe not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. And, I experienced physical healing with both of them. I also really enjoyed the front desk staff. Fantastic experience: My experience with Healing Hands and my physical therapist Hannah Lavis was exceptional. I saw Hannah for two different conditions, and had physical complications due to age and previous fractures that made what are probably generic exercises impractical if not impossible. Hannah was able to adapt her treatment plan to my personal circumstances, and we continued tweaking my exercises as we went along to make sure they were effective. My physical condition is significantly improved. I always felt cared for by Hannah, and she mixed just the right amount of building trust and our personal relationship with practical treatment. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Sara Thorne for Dry Needling therapy. When Sara started working on my shoulder, I was unable to excercise and the pain was disrupting normal sleep. After getting an MRI, my orthopedic doctor recommended surgery. After two months of Dry Needling treatment from Sara, I was back in the gym and have successfully performed my normal excercise routine for over a year. Sara is highly skilled, patient, and compassionate. Thank you Sara!

Fantastic experience: My doctor referred me to Healing Hands after diagnosing osteoarthritis in my left hip, which began to hurt when I was jogging (I'm 76). The pain mostly subsided after I stopped, but working with Claire I learned how to minimize strain on the joint and build up the muscles that support and mobilize it. After a number of weeks, the mobility without pain of the left hip was the same as the right. She was really good at explaining the purpose and proper form for each exercise and where to concentrate attention to get the most benefit. As I was leaving we worked out a good plan for me to continue to progress to more demanding exercises, and how to use low impact machines at the Y to resume my cardio. Thanks to Claire, I came away with a lot of confidence that I can be prepared for and manage the long term effects of my arthritis.

Fantastic experience: I see Teresa for scar tissue. She is aaaammmaaazzziing! This scar tissue took on a life of its own, and the skin would not move. I started out at 93 degrees range of motion, not great! But I am now at 113, and can almost do a full rotation on the bike. It's awesome. She has helped me so much. The abyss that was there when I started seeing her is pretty much gone, thanks to the massage therapy and exercises. I highly recommend Teresa!

Fantastic experience: Ms. Hannah Lavis was brilliant in her assessment to determine the source of my pain, and her the treatment plan has made a significant improvement in my condition. I have recommended several friends with medical needs to discuss with their physician a therapeutic resolution of PT with Ms. Lavis. Even my doctors are impressed with the results of the professional therapists at Healing Hands.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful front desk staff, easy to get set up for my appointments. I worked with Claire Grover on some chronic back pain. She is knowledgeable and skilled, helping to get me out of chronic pain and learn stretches and exercises to keep it that way.

She was helpful from the first day I met her, thoughtfully introducing new exercises and approaches to work with me on recovery & mobility. Claire is extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient, and personable. She's a great listener and I felt completely heard throughout my time at HH. Also, Claire is very skilled with the hands-on part of the therapy and the targeted treatments led to great outcomes for me. The entire staff was wonderful. I know that if/when I need PT again, I would absolutely come back to HH. It's an excellent practice. Highly recommend!
