Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital of Lubbock

Positive experience: This is on behalf of my dad, a patient here at Trustpoint. The therapists and most of the nursing staff were excellent and really helped my dad (Weldon) make a lot of progress during his time here. He said the food and meals were very good as well. We had some occasional issues with the medical side of things but overall all of the therapy was very good, especially Cristina, Rachel, and BreAnn. Thank you for helping my dad heal and recover as much as possible!

Fantastic experience: My husband received such warm and attentive care after transferring to Trustpoint from the hospital. The staff worked closely with him to create a tailored plan for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The doctors, nurses, & therapists showed genuine compassion and dedication to his recovery. They encouraged him to put in the effort needed to heal quickly, and I’m so happy to see how well he’s doing now! Choosing Trustpoint was definitely the right decision for us.

Negative experience: My reason for a one star is, my boyfriend has been trying to get him into Trust Point, even doctors and nurses have been trying to get him into Trust Point. He had a stroke back in 2023, although he had made so much progress, he still needs help. He works harder than anyone I know. All he wanted was a chance, to get his life back, to walk again, to be as independent as possible, to be back to his 5 kids and to his family. Trust Point keeps turning him down without an explanation why, they won't even give him a chance. Y'all are heartless to not give him a chance, to not want to help him!!!!! I'd give negative stars if I could....

Fantastic experience: The staff pleasantly and promptly attended to my needs immediately. Having worked as a nurse for trust point previously, I opted to go there for therapy post-stroke because of the therapy department. The nursing staff and therapy departments are compassionate and caring and extremely knowledgeable. I recommend trust point to any and everyone who asks " where should I go for therapy".

Fantastic experience: Trust point was there for me when I had my stroke and then when I had the accident and hit my head hard. Your people were great. And my favorite Senja Collins. You have a Real Jewel PT.

Fantastic experience: This facility and the care team including doctors, Nurse Practioner, Physicians Assistant, Nurses, OT and PT are top of the line! They're both compassionate about each individual patient and passionate about their skill and job! The care, privacy and concern I experienced were greatly appreciated! They were never too lenient yet never harsh in therapy. I knew I was going there to work and get stronger and this team surpassed my goal! They taught me the best way to do things as well as new things for my health that I would have to do for the rest of my imperfect life. I highly recommend this facility to anyone and everyone!

Fantastic experience: Our family was very pleased with the care our dad, Jacky Dewbre received from TrustPoint the past couple of weeks. This last visit made the 3rd time he has received therapy there. My sister, Cindy McClure has also been in TrustPoint on 3 different occasions. Our mother, Ruby Dewbre was a patient at TrustPoint as well. Each time our family members have been in TrustPoint, they have always received the best care. The therapist’s, nurses, aids, etc. all were extremely helpful & did an outstanding job taking care of each one. We appreciate the help Laurie Bandy provided for our family to help get each one of our family members the wonderful care & treatment they received from TrustPoint. We highly recommend TrustPoint for the best therapy care around. Thank you TrustPoint staff!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Trustpoint my wife Carolyn Wilson recovered the use of the left side of her body. Her left side hand, arm, legs, and feet were paralyzed as a result of 2 strokes. Today no one can believe that she ever experienced a stroke. Thank God andTrustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital!

Fantastic experience: This was my second time in 3 years to be at Trust Point for a stroke. Everyone was amazing. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst place to have a family member placed for rehab. Had the worst experience. Patient developed an infection. Was only given oral antibiotics because the facility didnt want to continue treating the patient. Infection was pretty serious and caused by lack of care to the patient. Insurance was blamed for such an early discharge but after contacting the insurance company we found the hospital lied. There was no one to advocate for my family and the standard of care was non existent. Shame on you Trustpoint.

Fantastic experience: Trustpoint’s inpatient Rehab was so amazing to my mom during her stay. When she first admitted there after having a Brain aneurysm and stroke, and several other emergency surgeries. She couldn’t walk, feed herself and so many more things that was new to us. My mom was an independent care taker when life took a sudden and scary turn. As a family we had no idea how she would come out of all that. But with the help of this amazing team she learned to walk, speak, hold the cup, feed herself and so many more things again. They treated her like family and all the therapist and nursing staff loved seeing her progress along the way. It was incredible to be among such wonderful caring staff. They were more than workers they loved her along her journey and cheered for her every step of the way. She wouldn’t have been in the condition she is now without their help and we are forever grateful for them!!!! ❤️❤️ They have a wonderful brain program, dinners club and so many other great aspects to assist with their patients needs. Clarissa thank you for helping with any questions we had too. Amber, Savanah and so many more thank u for going above and beyond to check on her and make sure she was well taken care of!!! My mom was able to WALK out of there with a walker and now can walk independently. I’m so proud of all her hard work she put in. If you want your family to have a great experience I highly recommend Trustpoint Rehab hospital!!!!

Fantastic experience: TrustPoint has become a second home for us since my husband’s spinal cord injury over two years ago. TrustPoint’s inpatient and outpatient care are both excellent, with a top-notch nursing staff, specialized equipment, and individualized treatment for all types of injuries. They not only gave us extraordinary occupational, physical, and cognitive therapy, they also provided us with special training and guidance in self-care, enabling my husband to have increasing independence throughout his recovery. Now, as outpatient therapy clients, we have continued to receive seamless, superior, patient-centered care from Dominique and Haley in particular, although the entire rehab team and support staff are extraordinary and skilled. The professionals at TrustPoint know what they are doing; you will be in the very best compassionate, knowledgable, and expert hands as a patient there. With any luck at all, TrustPoint will become your second home, too.

Fantastic experience: My husband had a severe stroke in November of 2024 and was placed in Trustpoint for inpatient and then outpatient therapy we have been coming three times a week and he has made huge improvements. This place is great the staff is awesome and always make him feel amazing and leave with a smile and hope that he will fully recover. I honestly feel so blessed to be able to watch him improve everyday and it’s all thanks to his hard work and the help of his therapist. Kelsey has been very helpful with his scheduling and all of his therapist are absolutely amazing and special thanks to his speech therapist Becky and Emma and his therapist Dominique, Dawson, Bailey, Chris and Haley among others for continuing to push and encourage him it means the world to us.

Fantastic experience: Great place for your PT , had knee surgery in Feb was able to get started pretty fast. The PT staff are awesome they know what they are doing . My Staff Arlin, Sherri, Melanie, Kayla, and Dominique are the best . Made sure I was progressing fast, safely, and properly. I feel no problem getting g back to work. Im probably going to have to get my other knee fix, I'm definitely going back to Trust Point to get me back on my feet. Thank You Guys for the work you do

Fantastic experience: I recently stayed at Trustpoint for three months while recovering from Guillain Barre Syndrome. The food, nurses, therapist, and especially Dr Wolcott deserve exemplary ratings. After this lengthy stay, the staff became my second family and cared for me as a family member. They cheered me on in therapy and cheered me out as I left. I.came in paralyzed from the neck down and walked out with the aid of a walker. My journey will continue on at Trustpoint as an outpatient and one day as a visitor to see the friends I’ve made. Would I recommend Trustpoint to friends and family? ABSOLUTELY!

Fantastic experience: THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT! From the o/p scheduler Kelsi to the total rock star therapists, I can’t say enough good about these people. The occupational therapists challenge me and the physical therapists always work up different exercises to help me while relearning to walk! I can’t thank Arlin and his crew enough for being so kind when I can’t remember things they JUST told me. Some days are better than others with my mixed up brain. I wish them all the very best - because they are the best! 10 out of 10 all the way around!

Fantastic experience: The staff in this establishment is beyond wonderful everybody from the minute you walk in to Kelsey who does the scheduling to all the wonderful therapists. My brother could not stand up and transfer at all and he has successfully completed that task and is walking with walker in therapy. We have been to a lot of therapy places and he had his stroke 5 years ago so very proud of success. Thanks to everyone!!!

Fantastic experience: I was so scared and nervous on this new adventure: however! Once I got settled! This is exactly the place I needed to be! Alexis! She was on time everyday! She made me feel good about myself and to push hard! She was so honest and innocent to me! I appreciate all she did for me! I’d recommend trust point!

Fantastic experience: Trustpoint is an excellent facility for anyone needing rehab. After my stroke, I no longer had use of my right arm, after 16 days I was discharged with my right arm being 80% restored. I now do outpatient therapy to work on the fine motor skills. The therapist’s are excellent, very knowledgeable and professional. The nursing staff was very kind and attentive. I highly recommend Trustpoint.

Ive had 2 stokes ,open heart surgery, both feet cut off and my thumb ... They have been helping me learn me to walk again, they help me to learn so much that i forgot.... They everyone was so helpful... the cooks made me food everyyday i wanted something... Everyone were so purfect... im so happy i got come here in lubbock... Im from midland... Thank you yall... Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at TrustPoint! The nurses & physical therapist were all very friendly & helpful! I requested for both my parents to go to TrustPoint before I went & they were so pleased I decided to go there after my 13th knee surgery! I had a fusion done on my knee & they helped me adjust to having a straight leg! As I write this review, my sweet aunt, Janice Mitchell is in TrustPoint recuperating from a broken hip & a broken arm. She has been very pleased as well! I highly recommend TrustPoint! Thank you Laurie Bandy for all your hard work helping my parents & myself to get into TrustPoint!

Fantastic experience: TrustPoint’s rehab program is the best. My husband became an amputee so he has gone for rehab several different times and very pleased with TrustPoint.

Fantastic experience: I arrived from Covenant Hospital on 07/25/24. I was very weak and barely able to walk. My legs and feet hurt and I had some swelling on my ankles. Physical Therapy began immediately. My Therapist’s were fair but firm enough and the exercises were spaced out so that I could work on my legs and core with work on my upper body and arms. Therapy was structured over 1 hour sessions. There were 3 hours of physical therapy per week day, every day. My body began to respond to the physical therapy and all my therapist’s were kind and supportive. I would like to recognize Stacey, Rebecca 1 and 2, and really all of the Staff. I believe that Trust Point organization is a Team from Dr. Wolcott all the way through the Food Service, Custodial Staff, Nurses and Nurse Tech Tenequa who is tireless. My Therapist’s were all dedicated to see me through. I am happy to say that I have regained my strength in my body and am able to walk on a cane which was impossible just 2 weeks ago. Dr. Wolcott is a very impressive person who has a unique way of being supportive and understanding. He is an asset to TrustPoint Rehabilitation Hospital. I am being discharged July 6 2024. Iwas broken and TrustPoint fixed me!

Negative experience: Went to see a friend most nurses were helpful but one nurse with big eyes long lashes long ponytail, had attitude. And Bernice as we walked in was cussing out another gentleman. At what point should ANY employees be so unprofessional!

Fantastic experience: Trustpoint was an amazing experience for my mother and me. My mother has had Home Health and been admitted to other physical rehabilitation hospitals but all lacked the results we received from Trustpoint. The employees worked aggressively with Forward Thinking to help my mother walk again and talk again. She went in in a wheelchair with lots of pain suffering from dementia. 2 weeks later she walked out and her thinking is better. Not to mention the energy of the staff giving my mother motivation to come back for outpatient therapy. Everyone was courteous from the doctors to the custodians they gave my mother thier utmost respect. The communication with the doctors and staff should be the example for all hospitals across this nation. It was a positive experience and truly comforting to have the doctor's, nurses, and therapist tell me what they were doing and why. Thank you trustpoint!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Great therapists and great therapy helping everybody improve everyday.

Negative experience: Most nurses do not stay on top of patient care. As a family member I often had to track down someone to help with basic care. Contacted nurse manager to try and resolve issues, but that also took a lot of work. The PT department does a good job in spite of the lack of patient daily medical care. Rooms are dark and dated making it less appealing for mental health.

Fantastic experience: The therapy program there is extraordinary they meet you where you are and have you stronger than you ever could imagine you could be. We are very grateful for all the help they given in our family.

Fantastic experience: The nursing staff and therapists are all wonderful! They gave my husband excellent care. Only drawback is cafeteria isn't open for dinner and not open at all Saturday or Sunday. Which if you are staying with patient and are unable to leave is a bit of a problem.

Positive experience: I would like to commend the hard working nurses and assistants at Trustpoint. They made the 2 week stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, the therapy went well.

Negative experience: Unfortunately while the facility is nice and a lot of the staff was kind we had a lot of issues here. Multiple times medications were given that should not have been. A sedative was approved for one time use and they ended up adding it to the med regimen so it was given when it was not supposed to be. New meds were added without approval even after we were guaranteed that would not occur. It was difficult to get updates from doctors and even after we expressed concerns it took an infection getting out of control for it to be taken seriously so it caused another hospitalization. Once hospitalization happened there were injuries and issues that we had not been informed of. Most of the nurses were helpful, the aides were great, and the speech and physical therapist were helpful but even the therapists expressed concerns that were seemingly dismissed by the medical staff/doctors. Many of these issues could have been prevented with communication. It truly felt like they didn't look at the person as a whole and just tried to solve issues with new meds and not get to the root of symptoms. It should be about the patients best interest and here it simply wasn't. I no longer trust them to care for a loved one.

Fantastic experience: I was a patient 2 years ago. I walk today bc of the care I received at Trustpoint. My mom just got out of Trustpoint. The same level of care I received is the same that my mom received. Thanks Dr Wolcott!!!

Fantastic experience: My little sister got into a terrible, awedul car wreck that left her pelvis shattered and her left side paralyzed from a seizure that happened while she was being air lifted to a facility that could better take care of her. We were told there was optimism for her recovery since she was so young, but we had no idea where she'd be as far as how much she'd physically be able to recover. We were here for a little below 3 months, and when I tell you these wonderful people work miracles I truly believe that. She went from hardly being able to talk, to chattering anyone and everyone's ear off about her beloved cat back home, and she went from needing to use a device to get from her bed to a wheelchair to being able to stand to do transfers with the help of nurses. We watched her go from not being able to move her left side at all to regaining use of her leg and her arm reacting as well. We still have a long way to go, but without everyone working tirelessly to make sure she and my family were comfortable we'd for sure be much farther away from recovery.

Fantastic experience: Dr chekuru was encouraging and attentive to our requests. The therapists were encouraging and always explained what I was to do at each step. Thanks to Liz in OT, Sarah in st and Kayla in pt. There were others that were equally helpful whose names I can’t remember. The nurses and techs were prompt and friendly in response to our needs. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need.

Fantastic experience: I had a Spinal Injury and this is where I went from being a paraplegic to walking with assistance in about a month! I will never forget the wonderful staff, The PT's, OT's, Nurses, dietary, the Directors, Dr's and everybody else in between! Thank you Trustpoint for everything!

Fantastic experience: I received physical therapy at Trustpoint for approximately 10 months to treat a chronic disability. The care I received was stellar; easily the best I've had in the entirety of my life to date and 30+ years of experience in and out of physical rehab. Every person employed at the hospital was competent, compassionate, professional, and pleasant. From Kelsey the receptionist, to Seth, the Therapy Director, and Michelle the scheduling coordinator and insurance liaison, every member of staff I interacted with on a regular basis took a personal interest in my progress and recovery, treating me with great respect, and making an otherwise difficult process very fulfilling and enjoyable. A special thank you to Emily, my therapist for the duration of my treatment. She was easily the most effective and knowledgeable therapist I've had, and was passionate and steadfast about my treatment. I can't recommend her highly enough. Her colleagues, the other therapists I worked with occasionally, Clare and Dominique, were also wonderful, as were the others I had the pleasure of meeting. The facility is clean, the patients well cared for, and the staff experienced and qualified in their ministrations. Expect to receive sterling treatment in a positive environment with a personal touch.

Fantastic experience: If you need therapy after orthopedic surgery Trustpoint is the place to go. I had PT, Speech & OT. All the therapist are certainly well qualified , pleasant & very thoughtful!!! Very clean facility, bring very careful of COVID-19!! Everyone that works there is required to wear a mask. All visitors have temperature checked when they go in, and must wear a mask. I would highly recommend them!! And the food is good!! Buddy Mayfield

Fantastic experience: To be honest I was a little afraid because of all of the facilities I have experienced with my mother and that I have worked in but when I heard the name Walcott I was in instant relief because his brother Randy took care of my mother for years and i know the standard of care first hand that the Walcotts stand by and I have to say I was not disappointed every morning he was there in my room to check on my progress and the nursing staff down to the dietary staff all the way to the housekeepers we're ready and willing to help me with my every need the therapy was tough desirae and Lacey I'm sorry if I spelled your names wrong they worked very hard with me and as did all of the therapist I didn't think I was going to be able to walk again although I have a very long journey ahead of me I want to give a big thanks to the trust point family because it is just that a family and that's how they treat you like family thank you Trust point

I have already made three trips to Trustpoint, and each and every time my experience is their level of care and compassion to be outstanding. Fantastic experience: My name is Juan Astorga and I spent two months at Trustpoint. My experience there was a great one! All the nurses, PCTs ,therapist and other staff were very helpful. With the guidance and encouragement of the staff I was able to walk out with the assistance of a walker. Dr. Wolcott and his team have been extremely supportive and encouraging and I am truly grateful for all they have done for me.

Fantastic experience: As a healthcare administrator for over 20 years I must give them a 5. All staff were courteous, helpful, and kind. My fathers stay ended with no problems. Any concerns were brought to the right staff member and the follow up was great. Gail his nurse was fantastic as were the other nurses and assistants on his unit. His Social Worker Danielle, was great on the discharge planning. Honestly could not have had a better stay. Thank You Trustpoint!

Wolcots staff is awesome very attentive to my needs and my care. No words to describe the rehab team how everybody works together And comes up with a solution for each individual patient.The rehab team goes well beyond what is required for your care. The skills I was taught I use On a daily basis for recover . The techniques learned with intense rehab.from my team, Andre Lily and Chelsea and the whole rehab team I think you all From the bottom of my heart. I will and have referred people to TrustPoint. Very professional informative and this rehab team is plants a solid foundation towards independent living. Fantastic experience: Back in '13 I was admitted here, great staff and great facility, came in after getting out of the burn unit.

Fantastic experience: My son is a patient with a traumatic brain injury at Trust Point and he has benefited greatly during his time here. So much so we were great full when we found out he would be able to stay longer. The staff take care of him as if he is their own family member. They show care and compassion to him and all patients at Trust Point. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to everyone if a need should arise for great nursing care and terrific therapy. The housekeeping staff keep everything looking great and the administration really cares about the patients and family members.
