Fantastic experience: The nurses and their staff are the best in the country and the therapist are real professionals they care about your getting up and being able to do things for yourself and they really helped me get back on my feet

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful for my time at South Plains Rehabilitation Center in Lubbock, Texas. Every doctor, nurse, nurse aide, and therapist deserves a rating of 15 out of 10 in my book! Special thanks to Dr. Timi, Ashlyn, Catina, Hannah, Ms. Pat (and please forgive me for forgetting one name—you know who you are!). There were so many amazing people: Derek, my PT; Aaron, my OT; my ST; and my mind & body therapist. This was truly a GREAT experience, and I would recommend SPRC to anyone. You will not regret it! The Food Department had a few minor issues, but nothing serious—they were quick to resolve everything and still top-notch. Thank you, SPRC. I love you all! ♥️

Negative experience: I don’t suggest having any family here. They are careless and dropped my grandmother not once but TWICE. They claim they don’t have the second incident recorded but I have pictures and proof of both. Not to mention it was right after she got out of surgery. The staff isn’t trained well enough and are going to end up killing patients with their lack of care to just “ get the job done” instead of finding help or waiting for someone to assist

Fantastic experience: I was recently a patient at SP Rehab. Staff was well trained, courteous, respectful. I am glad when I need such service they are here. I don’t know the highest rating but if it’s 5 that’s what I give them.

Fantastic experience: My experience was nothing but wonderful. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I just can't say enough good about my whole experience. I would definitely use the South Plains Rehab again and I have already recommended it to a friend who is having surgery this summer.

Positive experience: Communication is a problem, but the care was very good.

Negative experience: My father was a patient at this rehabilitation hospital, and our experience was deeply disappointing. The staff demonstrated a lack of competence, patience, and professionalism throughout his stay. Their ignorance regarding his care needs was concerning. Even after raising these issues with higher management, there was no meaningful response or accountability—it felt as if they were completely disconnected from the seriousness of the situation. Their physical therapy team in particular needs to be reevaluated, as they inaccurately scored my father as independent for every at-home activity, when in reality he requires much more care and attention. I cannot recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care for their loved ones.

The Staff from administration, nurses, nurse techs, OT/PT Nutritional Services and Custodians are the best I have ever seen. Every person is so nice no matter what their job is. But they have a job and do it never forgetting why they are truly there….The Patient!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Reaching the point of Life support was devastating to me and my family but recooping at South Plains was the best experience I ever could’ve imagined. I had to start all over again. Feeding, walking, Even brushing my hair. They are the most professional Family I’d never felt better. Taking home all my therapy made me feel empowered. I can’t say Thankyou enough.

Negative experience: It was Horrible and Pathetic Experience. There is Miss communication within the South Plains Rehabilitation Hospital. No Co-ordination between Nursing Care, Pharmacy, and Therapists. Nurses were not able to give Proper Nursing Care to Patients. So Called Directors were Not able to Come with Solutions. It's Better You give Nursing Care at Your Home.

Fantastic experience: My stay there was a very good experience. I really didn't know what to expect at first. Everyone made me feel comfortable and secure. I will pass the word to anyone that it is a great place to go. The pts were super in helping me get stronger. Chrystal was my favorite pt. I am very picky on how my bed to be comfortable and it was. the pillows also were supported. The food was great. The nurses were good also.

Fantastic experience: My brother was dealing with a stroke he had when he came in to this facility. He was unable to walk or use his right arm very much. With his determination and their help in therapy he is able to walk and now he is using his right arm. Everyone we encountered from doctors, nurses,nurse techs, case managers, receptionist, security staff and cleaning staff, they were all so wonderful to us. Very professional. My brother Jackie wants to say thank you so much for taken care of him. Our family also wants to thanks you guys for everything you guys did for him. We highly recommend this facility. Jonathan

Fantastic experience: Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and I was treated professionally by the entire team, from doctors, to check-in, and check-out. I really feel like my concerns were addressed, and that patient care is their primary concern. All the nurses were wonderful and the rehabilitation therapy, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy were outstanding. It is definitely my Rehab choice when I need care.

They made feel safe and very comfortable since was not at home. They gave a sense that really cared for me. I loved this dialysis team. Please give Rubi and Elena and the rest of the team a A+.

Fantastic experience: Nurses need more education in drawing blood and infection control policies..The physical aspect was 5 star. Nurses only pass pills and don't really "nurse" the patient..2 stars for the Nurses. Jessie on nites was fabulous and one other nurse I cannot recall...

Negative experience: Staff seemed bothered when asking for help to go the restroom. Was left in bed for hours without getting up to walk around.

Fantastic experience: I was there for 10 days. I would highly recommend this hospital. They make you feel special. You get one on one care. The staff is compassionate and caring and highly professional. If you think you need rehab this is the place.

Fantastic experience: South Plains Rehabilitation Hospital/Encompass sets the high bar: - -for interdisciplinary therapy, 3 hours daily, resulting in admirable improvement in ADLs (activities for daily living). I’m still in a wheelchair but I’m stronger and more independent now. --for staff who care. From the amazing cafeteria aides to CNAs, nurses, doctors, therapists ~ these folks are a team focused on getting residents better NOW. I’m grateful for my time there. January 2023

Fantastic experience: Our experience with this facility was wonderful from check in to dismissal. Everyone of the staff showed us love,compassion and empathy. They all worked as a fine tuned caring machine from the doctors,nurses,cnas,pts,ots,slp,house keeping, dietary, they all have different color uniforms but their hearts are all the same. They enjoy their patients and each other. The employees make it fun for the patient and each other. My sister and I didn't want to leave. I would even love to work there with them to be part of such a good work of helping people get well with a Godly heart and way. Thank you all for being so caring and loving and helpful. Fantastic experience: My mother is staying at the South Plans Rehabilitation/Hospital, and so far the staff/team have been excellent, the night nurse Susan Stapp,and the training nurses have been great with her care,and I appreciate the team in charge of her care.

Fantastic experience: My husband was there from 3/25 to 4/8. We had an excellent experience. All staff in all departments concluded each interaction by asking if there was anything they could do or get for you. The therapy was superb in getting my husband up on his feet. This was his 5th inpatient rehab stay and SPRH was the best he has had. When he gets his knee replaced, if SPRH is still in network for our insurance, we will be going back. There is not a “perfect “ place, the difference is when staff expend the effort to make it the best. The administration staff came and sang Happy Birthday along with a chocolate lava cake. Beatriz B from dietary drew a special place mat for his tray liner. It made us feel like valued customers.

Fantastic experience: My brother in law was admitted here and he loved it! He was supposed to be there for 2 weeks and only needed to stay one week because of all the progress he made. Everyone was so positive and helpful. They helped my brother gain his confidence and independence back. I cant thank you enough for being so helpful and caring!
