Belterra Health & Rehabilitation Center

Negative experience: This facility is worse than a dog pound. Dogs at least get their kennels hosed down daily, fresh food and fresh water. I was told by the staff that the average response time is 40 minutes when you push the nurse Bell at one time I waited one hour 47 minutes sitting in my feces for someone to come change my pull up, I am attaching a picture of their portable toilet the bathroom. Look at all the rust on it. It’s disgusting. The staff there does not treat anyone with dignity or respect. Skilled nursing homes have a bad reputation already, but this one is pathetic. How they pass health inspection is beyond me, except that the criteria for skilled nursing homes is not the same as hospitals they get monitored and have inspections. If you’re thinking of placing a loved one there think twice!

Positive experience: Someone I care about needs help from Belterra. So far she has been treated very well. There’s four of us there visiting a lot of times. She were really sick before the needed surgery and we saw the staff stay on top of medication & attention. Yes the food is awful, breakfast is ok, but hard to mess up breakfast. I do wish Belterra would get another company, a good tasting food supplier. Overall the place is clean and all the staff have been very attentive. Than you Belterra for taking care of a loved one.

Fantastic experience: I came to visit a member of my church. The integration of the id photo and temperature measurement was convenient. The voice prompts for the questionnaire were helpful. It was a much more robust process than the prior paper questionnaire and photo that would not be well coordinated.

Fantastic experience: Beltera Health & Rehabilitation, is a place to visit. Clean and no smell, and the aides and nurses are nice and polite. They are cultured and loving. Also take time to attend to the residents. In case you are looking for a place for mum and dad, you won't regret putting them in. I Joy musa recommend Beltera to everyone of our love ones. Fantastic experience: This facility is absolutely stunning all the staff were very proficient with their job duties keeping patient care and safety as their number one priority. The staff here were helpful to a new oncoming gal as myself, the rooms were decorated so beautifully they all came with private bathrooms will be with built-in showers, the facility had absolutely no odor, this is by far one of the best facilities I've ever stepped foot in. I definitely had to give credit where credit was due.

Fantastic experience: The staff was helpful and welcoming. The home is neat and clean. When we arrived a guitarist was entertaining many of the residents. There was a nice atmosphere with Christmas decorations!

Negative experience: I did make a review a year ago. But things have gotten worse for me at Belttarra Rehabilitation Center. They dropped the ball on my brother's financial situation. I been going through with them as far as with his Medicaid, trying to make sure the Belttarra get paid. I'm very disappointed with them, because they didn't complete his paper work for the Medicaid part. Now that his due date is getting close. They threatened to remove my brother if I don't sign his trust account over to them in order for them to get paid from the State of Texas. I feel that they hassle me and I don't feel safe with them being over the care of my brother. I will not recommend anyone else to his faulty at all. If you see this name Belttarra ran as fast as you can. They are only in it for the money. They really don't care for the the residents at all.

Fantastic experience: Belterra has a great Rehab Department. The staff consists of highly knowledgeable, experienced and diverse therapists that I have had an opportunity to come to know. The gym consists of a variety of equipments used to provide the best outcome for the patient. Therapists provide individualized plan of care consisting of OT, PT, SLP for each patient and not a “cookie cutter” treatment model. Belterra has private rooms which is a huge asset that many other skilled nursing facilities in the surrounding areas lack. The staff ranging from receptionist, housekeeping, maintenance, dietary, nursing, activities, social service, Rehab and administrative staff daily aspire to provide the patients with the highest quality of care and service. I would highly recommend Belterra to anyone interested in short term or long term care for the family or friends.

I must say, their nursing team cares very much for the residents.The Splash party on Aug 26th was so much fun, the residents had a blast. High five to the Activity Dept and all staff involved. Fantastic experience: I want to thank the administrative staff for going above and beyond making a smooth and transition from Baylor to Belterra Rehab. The staff was so very helpful in providing great information for my husband. After arriving and meeting the nurse, Jessica, and Kathy, I know my husband is in excellent hands. Fantastic experience: I’ve been to quite a few skilled nursing facilities and I gotta say that Belterra is definitely one of the cleanest facilities I have ever been to. Belterra is one of the few SNFs that offers private rooms. You’ll see that a lot of others have two beds per room. Staff are extremely nice and caring. The kitchen staff works hard on patient meals. From management to nursing to administration to receptionist to therapy.. everyone is all around compassionate and hard working. The activities team does an amazing job keeping residents busy. A barber comes every week to tend to the residents. The physicians visit residents daily to offer care and services. The therapy team is awesome! You won’t be disappointed with your stay here at Belterra.

Fantastic experience: As a therapist serving the community at Belterra Health & Rehab, I have seen first hand the amazing and thoughtful work that is involved in taking care of the patients that we serve. From the time you walk into the building, you will be greeted with a smile and helpful hand by our receptionist & front office staff. Donovan is wonderful, and I frequently see him interacting with our patient during the day as they love communicating with him. The administration team goes above and beyond for each patient and their families/loved ones. The nursing staff is constantly growing and evolving, which has only continued to elevate Belterra and the quality care that this building provides. Along with this, our activities team does a great job of getting residents involved & interacting with others. There are always activities taking place each day, and you will see many residents participating in on the fun! I am thankful to work here and be a part of our large, diverse, and highly qualified group of therapists. Every therapist on our team has a genuine interest in the well being of each patient and their personal goals.

Fantastic experience: They have always been kind, helpful and friendly. My aunt has been here since a Covid hospitalization. I did not expect everyone to really care but they do! I’m so impressed! Thank You Belterra for always helping and never making me feel bad about calling or asking for help. Absolutely amazing experience! They have gotten her up and out of bed every day which she refused to do at home. She’s always clean and her room is clean as well. There are daily activities and bird feeders outside the window to give her something to watch. As close to home as possible and across the street from Baylor Scott and White. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: The personal care was second to none for my dad! Donovan was an absolute blessing as was the nursing staff that tended to my dad. Professional, clean, caring, attentive, and on and on. If your loved one matters to you then this is the place for them!

Fantastic experience: We have moved my Mom from 3 other nursing homes, Belterra is in a league of it's own. Absolutely 5 stars. The Covid thing, yes it's inconvenient and disappointing to have to take turns visiting my Mom, but at least they are kind to her and have kept her safe and comfortable. Thanks Belterra Staff!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for an excellent, impeccably clean Nursing home that will make your loved one feel at home this is the Nursing home I would recommend in McKinney..From the moment you walk in you feel the love from the skilled nurses and staff. Also the food looks so much healthier than most others. I also want to thank Damian who works up front who is always there to help you and can direct with any questions you may have. Positive experience: My wife whom has had two strokes and has been in 4 caregiving / nursing facilities and by far this is the best, with caring capable people and very clean well kept facility highly recommended for consideration Under new management and has Baylor McKinney Hospital across the street,

Positive experience: First, I don't believe in perfection, so that's why I didn't give a 5 star rating. My mom admitted to Belterra in August 2015 on rehab services. The therapy team was PHENOMENAL and able to get mom back on her feet! She was wheelchair bound and so out of it. They got her walking again until her recent fall June 2017. Now they are helping mom get her independence back again. Some of her wonderful therapists who have/currently work with her: Dom, Shauna, Sheila, Angela, Jeremy, Neerav, Georgia, and I’m sure many others look out for her as well. We’ve gone through 3 administrators and 4 director of nursings and now Barry Walker and Terri Manning are the leaders of this community. Terri is by no means one to give you lip service. She walks the walks and is not there to make others like her. Her heart is in the care—I have seen it. Barry is also committed--- there hasn’t been any situation I have brought to his attention where I felt I was not heard or the situation was not resolved. 2 weeks ago, Tiffany the assistant director of nursing and Terri, director of nursing worked late into the evening on a Friday night to ensure that mom didn’t have to go to the hospital again. They worked with mom’s nurse practitioner, Tsedey to meet mom’s need at the facility! We had been in and out of the hospital twice for 2 weeks and mom got more and more confused each time. She was much better off at Belterra where the staff and residents knew her. There have been issues, but in any facility, there’s always issues. I have been in many facilities from Dallas to Plano to McKinney and even Denton and I can say, I would not have mom anywhere else. My only complaint is that, like is most of the facilities I have been, about 5% of the residents monopolizes 80% of the staff’s time—which then takes away from 95% of the population. If I ever feel mom’s needs are not being met, I will be the first to pull her out of that facility, thankfully BELTERRA has been helping mom live out her remaining years in comfort and surrounded by those who care and love her. It was important for me to write this review so that good people like Barry and Terri will not feel discouraged by these unreachable expectations and leave. They are GREAT for the Belterra community, as are many other staff members who have been there since the building opened: Neely, Jason, Lisa, Don/chef, Tiffany and other direct care staff. So Belterra Staff—THANK YOU for caring for mom! I believe in you!
