Conway Lakes Health & Rehabilitation

Positive experience: My husband has been a patient twice in the last year coming directly from the hospital to Conway Lakes. I wish I could give two ratings; one for the excellent care and concern shown to him by the entire Therapy/Rehab group like Brian Nicholson, Jennifer, Stephanie, Olivia, George, etc. They all went above & beyond to solve any problem, address his needs, and care for him. The administrative staff: Diana, Laura, Mabel were real "Can Do" people. My second review is negative due to the lack of concern on a day to day basis by some of the other care team.

Negative experience: For the in question I don't speak for someone or family member it's my own experience Have an accident at home pass 2 weeks.in the hospital.after surgery. on the 24 of October I was transferred to the facility for rehab get there 9:30 pm .The paramedic put me by the bed there was 3 staffs members in the room one asked what do wants answer I need 2 more pillows for my arms. which was banded to the fingers 1 lady rich on a chair. there a pillow with apparently duty sheet I said I don't want this pillow this lady scream at me.in front of her supervisor For the rest of the night don't see no body back in the room with my 2 hands banded to help me get in bed Is my history for the first night I arrived To be continued

Fantastic experience: Conway lakes rehab facility has been a blessing to both my mom and myself for over 20 years. Many changes have taken place over that time period but the quality of service has met all our standards and needs. Anybody interested in a rehab facility for a loved one family member or friend I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: They are excellent in everything they do! Medicines, aides, nurses, and the admin team!

Negative experience: I had to remove my grandmother from this facility because I was concerned she would not survive her stay. There are a few great and caring nurses and nurse aides there, but there are also ones that are completely uncaring and inattentive. Communication between workers is absolutely abysmal. Nobody ever knows anything about their patients, and they send you around to other people that also don’t know. They argue either each other loudly. Nobody will take responsibility when they fail to give proper care. My grandmother fell during her stay, and they did practically nothing to make sure she didn’t have serious injuries that weren’t immediately apparent. I had to push them to just to X-rays. There were many upsetting nights, but the last straw was when I went in to see her, and found her shivering, balled up without blankets, absolutely covered in urine. She said she had been that way for a while, and I immediately demanded to take her home. It was absolutely heartbreaking. I think younger and more cognitively unimpaired people would do ok here, but it is no place for the very elderly that have mobility issues and dementia.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility. Clean and well kept. Laura, the discharge planner is amazing. She's knowledgeable and thoughtfully sets up her discharges. Excellent therapy.

Fantastic experience: Mable Thomas from Admission is amazing. She goes above and beyond for my dad .She made sure me and dad was taken care of from day one. So far I'm very impressed never thought that I will leave my dad in nursing home .But so far has been a good experience. Thank you Conway Lakes!!

Negative experience: One of the worse and most unprofessional and inconsiderate facilities that I have ever worked at with very hostile, rude, and dishonest Administration and staff. I consider Conway Lakes Health and Rehabilitation to be a very low-class and tasteless facility where no one takes their role or job seriously. It’s very “unfortunate for anyone” who has to use this facility and company as a last resort because it’s just horrible.

Negative experience: Horrible place, please don't take your elderly family members there! They will be laying in their own filth for hours, the place is deplorable. Thieves are rampant and the food is awful!

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid this place!!!! Brought my mom here last night from the hospital with a broken ankle (and the other foot is heeling from surgery for her bunion from two weeks ago). They ignore her for 3 hours because she wasn't in the system yet. Why wasn't she in the system after being there for 3 hours!!! One of the nurses even came in turned off the call button and walked out. My daughter was able to go there and had to get someone to come in a she my mom finally and their excuse is their busy. This morning they are still ignoring my mom with the same excuse "we're too busy".

Fantastic experience: Thanks to Jamie Norman and her team for the help that she has provided for the patients that I deal with as a home health representative . I whole heartedly feel like when I refer my patient to Conway lakes Rehab they are in good hands!

Fantastic experience: I don’t understand all of the negative reviews. My dad was at this facility for almost a month and they went above and beyond to provide the highest level of care for him. They communicated consistently with him and with me and set up his aftercare services in the most professional manner. He’s home now and doing great. Thank you Conway Lakes!

Negative experience: They are very rude at this facilitie, they have no customer service. Very disappointed, I hope someone had a better experience than we did. Not helpful at all.

Negative experience: Hati nurse can hurt to old women people and they not help nothings I was there

Negative experience: I will go into great detail when I stop crying. This place killed my mother. Pure neglect. My mother got an infection somehow there and they allowed her to go into sepsis which progressed to shock sepsis before they took her to the hospital.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t send a dog here

Positive experience: I would like to say that the overall cleanliness of the facility would be almost a 5. They do try very hard to keep it very clean and keep it smelling good . There are a few CNA’s I would like recognize that were exceptional. I can’t say enough good things about Lakrissa! She was absolutely amazing and gave my dad excellent care and kept him clean and took great care of him. Also Remy and Juliette did a great job and Remy did such a great job watching over my dad at night when he was trying to get out of bed. Sarah and Tamara were excellent nurses that did a great job , friendly and listened to our concerns. Now for the not so good ….The communication is something they definitely lack. The communication between the doctors and nurses is very slow. And when we communicated things to the nurses or doctors, it took forever to get answers and things done. There was one CNA that almost let my dad fall on the floor and he would have had my sister not caught him. She never apologized or even seemed concerned about him. She had a terrible attitude and was rude . The lead male nurse Drew also never apologized and didn’t seem concerned either . This was just so unbelievable to us, the attitude of these two workers . The other thing I would say is that sometimes the response time coming to the room when the patients push the light for assistance, would sometimes be very slow. I do know they are understaffed so I know it can’t always be helped. It’s just sad to see patients needing to be changed and sometimes waiting for an hour. So in summary, we had some good experiences and some not so good experiences.

Negative experience: Éste lugar es el peor sitio para la recuperación de personas con sirujias, él personal del lugar, es incompetente los sábados y domingos no tienen un administrador qué supervise a los empleados, a los enfermos o pacientes no tienen la asistencia correcta lo que tienen por enfermera y enfermeros son practicantes él servicio es pésimo y los pacientes están mal atendidos.

Fantastic experience: The staff at this facility cared for my grandfather right up until the very end. They are all angels!

Fantastic experience: My husband had total knee replacement & was transported here from the hospital. I really can’t say enough about this place. The staff is AWESOME!! Their professionalism & level of care is EXCELLENT!! They’re always smiling, you NEVER have wait a long time for someone to come when called, the food is good, they keep the place very clean, the waiting areas are nicely furnished & the gardens are beautiful! I would recommend this place to anyone, what a great experience!

Fantastic experience: My aunt was here for rehab and a lady named Mable and the admission team was great. They helped her get in and the experience was good. Therapy was great as well.

Fantastic experience: I was searching for a facility for my grandmother who recently had hip replacement surgery. The admissions specialist, Jamie, was extremely helpful and informative. She made sure the transition for my grandmother was seamless and comfortable. The care Conway gave was everything my grandmother needed and now she’s home after a full recovery and is back in her garden. We are so blessed for Conway’s professionalism, care, and comfort. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: My grandpa needed so much help after having a stroke. When he got to Conway, we were unsure that he would be able to go back to do things on his own. Conway Lakes nursing and rehab team did so excellent in helping him meet his goals to be able to live independently and do things that are meaningful to him. I am so grateful. I wish family members that care about their loved ones will know how great Conway nursing and rehab center in helping their patients reach their full potential. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: Words can not express how much I appreciate everything the caregivers and staff did for my mom. When we heard she had the coronavirus, we thought the worst. We did not want her to go to a nursing home because of everything we have heard, but the people at Conway Lakes put us at ease and took amazing care of her. We were so scared that she wasn't going to come home. But I can not begin to explain how impressed my family was with the compassion and care shown to our mom. She even got therapy while on the covid unit and when she was ready to come home, she was doing more than when she went in! If I could rate this place a 10, I would. If any of my friends had to send a family member to a nursing home, I would recommend Conway Lakes!

Fantastic experience: Coming to Conway Lakes got me out of the house for the therapy that I needed, it’s like a vacation from COVID and the isolation I was in not being able to leave my house . It’s my second time here for rehab and I am enjoying my stay. Everyone is so caring even the maintenance staff asks how you are doing. My therapy is going well and I can focus on my healing without any concerns. The food is also very good. That’s important. The activities are a lot of fun and the trivia gets my mind active. There are many fun activities like movies and the drum circle when I’m not in the rehab gym getting therapy.

Fantastic experience: On behalf of my family we want to say thank you for the generous support and the care given to Francis Jungman during his stay at Conway Lakes Rehabilitation Center. Initially we were afraid where dad would be placed. I believe God directed us to Conway Lakes Rehabilitation Center. There are so many complexities and comprehending of Senior Care. Dad's care landed in the hands of your healthcare professionals who pledged to participate and contribute in dad's ever changing daily needs. Your staff performed a fine balance of attentiveness and professionalism toward dad's care. Each day brought new and special challenges. Your staff responded with humility, respectfully and with compassion. They perceived our sensitivities with understanding and so many of them displayed intensely caring hearts with compassion. We visited dad every day for six months. So my observation and intellection for six months was enlightened. A residence's stay is intensely personal! Your staff each day and especially during dad's worst days were treated respectfully and professionally. The staff's dedication to each of their professions with their hard work did NOT go unnoticed. Now we understand and WE give Conway Lakes Rehabilitation Center five stars. Every star was earned! Thank you, The Family of Francis Jungman

Fantastic experience: I was in a bad fall broke my right leg and arm. I was scared being 58yrs of age and falling 27 feet onto concrete that I wouldn't walk again. After my fourth week of physical therapy. I can walk a little and can move my arm. I'm able to shave, wash and go to the latrine alone. I can also dress myself daily. The physical therapist here are awesome experts. I'm actually amazed that this little technics that are given actually catch up to your limbs and Boom! I was standing up alone. I can play guitar with my broken arm. Staff here are concern of the patients here. Help in a trillion ways. I recommend this treatment center Highly. Negative experience: Their lack of care led to my mother in laws death. Avoid this place despite the clean looks. They could not even assist her to the toilet! When money is more important than personal care!

Fantastic experience: Just had total hip replacement, chose this facility to do rehab. This facility is fabulous for many reasons, but first; the staff is very attentive and are always there, striving to help with any needs I have. Secondly, the facility is spotlessly clean, no foul odors, in fact, these people go way out of there way to make sure this place is clean, safe, with a friendly professional environment. The rehab gym is state of the art with an educated group of physical therapists. . Good job to the staff.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous about my mother being placed in skilled nursing facility after her hip replacement surgery, but when I heard all of the great reviews about Conway Lakes I had to Check it out. We were not disappointed. My mother had great things to say about her nurses and her therapists. Everyone was very attentive to her needs. We enjoyed the food and the facility is always kept very clean. I will definitely recommend Conway Lakes to all my friends and amily.
