Fantastic experience: My input mirrors other 5 star reviewers. Having diligently reviewed Taras insights over and over I still find additional helpful advice. She's more than outstanding, Taras direction and advice is exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Tobias has encouraged me to overcome my self imposed limitations on my spinal chord injury, I have renewed confidence in my abilities. We worked hard, make no mistake. She took on my mission, I am beyond satisfied. After carefully planning each of my sessions, we worked at something new each and every time.

Fantastic experience: Our sessions with Dr. Tara Tobias were beyond incredible. We had discovered her online and found her videos so exceptionally helpful that we had to see her in person. It is one of the best decisions we have made regarding therapy and recovery. My husband, Sheldon, had a massive stroke almost 4 years ago, was able to walk short distances with a hemi walker but had virtually no movement with his left arm. After just a couple sessions, Tara, was able to encourage Sheldon to walk without an assistive device—merely with her guided touch and coaching. Seriously!! It turns out he was replacing his affected leg with the hemi-walker and not really progressing his walking. With a smaller footprint, he now walks daily at home without any assistive device (my guidance) and is transitioning to a hiking stick with the goal to actually walk on his own. We could not believe this was even possible before working with Tara and learning his underlying issues. Working with his affected arm, Dr. Tobias was able to get Sheldon to mentally connect to his arm and manage some movement. Sheldon has spasticity and the stretching component and working with her to get extension has been amazing. Again, Tara provides a clarity of understanding and solid tangible solutions. She has even left us with a tailored home program. Tara’s talent as a diagnostician is superior to all prior therapists and neurologists we have worked with. She provides insightful observations and exercises that progress your goals. You will amaze yourself as to what you can accomplish. Tara has a positivity that is enhanced by her skills, knowledge and experience engendering trust and confidence. To say our experience was thrilling is an understatement. Sheldon’s achievements and growth are inspirational and will bring him to a new level. Dr. Tobias has made a significant difference in our rehab and recovery as well as opened our eyes to the possibilities.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing Sheldon's story. It was truly my pleasure to help Sheldon to get to the next level! I am confident this is just the beginning to even bigger goals for Sheldon!

Fantastic experience: I am an SCI patient with with mobility issues as a result of an intramedullary C6-C7 tumor where a myelotomy resected the tumor in the late 80’s. Motor residuals were Proprioception issues along with a slightly spastic gait but I was able to walk unassisted. I moved from Boston to South Fl shortly after the surgery and to be in the care of one of the top p SCI Care facilities in the country Between 2000 and 2010 I saw my mobility begin to decline and by 20I0-2014, I had to resort to cane. I had annual SCI exams which included a thorough neurological workup and PT exams. I began to express concerns of declining mobility. In 2015 I began to use a walker and by 2020, I had to resort to a walker or a mobility scooter. Still with no real answers, I passed all of this up as a synergistic effect from: Gliosis (Scar tissue), resected/damaged neuro tissue and age. But In looking at my decline, I have decided to go back to the drawing board. I spent the past 2 weeks reviewing Dr Tobias’s videos on "Spacticity from an SCI injury." I saw her point out on the Importance of care with spastic muscles – along with the importance of bracing!. It all makes sense now. My SCI Care facility may not have properly guide me. Its possible I have neglected some very important care and that may have led to devastating results. There is an adage “I don’t know what I don’t know”. When it comes to health, that is a very dangerous predicament to be in. I have not yet visited Dr Tobias so its hard to truly leave a final review. But for her vital information on spasticity alone, how opposing muscles come into play, etc I will give Dr Tobias a 5 star rating. Meanwhile, I left the Orlando Neuro clinic a message and my hopes are to travel to Dr Tobias for a consult and evaluation asap and on what I need to do in the hopes of some recovery. I would do anything to go back to 2014 where I had to only use a cane. Im hoping that is still possible .

Fantastic experience: Dr.Tara is a most exceptional therapist. ,her confidence and enthusiasm generate the optimism that every patient requires through a grueling and long period to gain a satisfactory recovery, you believe that if you stick with it the results will come to fruition! Just hang in there, and don’t give up. Focus on the result, and not the discomforting therapy. I know that we are grateful for her efforts.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tara has been an AMAZING therapist for my dad. He suffered from a very severe stroke at the end of August, and for almost a month afterward he was unable to move his right side. After being discharged from acute rehab he regained some mobility, but had a long road ahead. Not being satisfied with outpatient therapy only 2x per week, I looked for ways to supplement his therapy, which is how I found Dr. Tara. I'm so grateful that she offers a way to receive high quality physical therapy for patients who have suffered from strokes. Dr. Tara is extremely knowledgable, professional, and dedicated to her patients. You can tell that she really cares about her patients, and has the expertise to help them get better. In the few weeks since my dad has started therapy with Dr. Tara, I have noticed a big difference in his strength and mobility. His ability to stand up on his own has gotten stronger, he is able to walk (assisted) for longer distances, and his range of motion has improved. I"m excited about his future progress in the weeks ahead! I plan on having my dad work with Dr. Tara for as long as we live in this area because I know that his progress will jump by leaps and bounds with her help.

Fantastic experience: Our son had a tenotomy surgery in both legs. We found Tara doing a big search in internet and for the first visit to the last, we are always stoked to see the difference. Thank you so much Tara for pushing our son every session to get back to full range of motion and no restrictions. We have been to another therapy office, when we lived in another area, and we can say that we never found a person so dedicated to her patients. Tara has helped our son to recover physically, and she has helped to improve our son’s spirit as well. My husband is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and he has been around long enough to recognize superior performance in the medical profession. She is always studying the best way to help our son and improve how he walks. Our son has improved greatly in a very short time and we are happy to continue counting on Tara every week!. Tara Tobias is a very skilled practitioner in Neurologic Physical Therapy. In addition to being very talented, she is very creative, kind and inspire hope that hard work will be rewarded. We will highly recommend Tara to others. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: Imagine being completely healthy and waking up one day with a soreness in your legs, and then within 36 hours being completely paralyzed from the neck down. That is how my story starts, but luckily it ends on a far better note, and I attribute both the speed and strength of my recovery and healing to Tara at Orlando Neuro Therapy. I was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre syndrome, an auto-immune disorder that affects the myelin sheaths of the nerves and renders the body paralyzed. I spent significant time hospitalized and in a inpatient rehabilitation facility, and found Tara through a friend in Orlando who works directly with dozens of physical therapists on a daily basis. When he found out what was happening he immediately recommended Tara for my rehabilitation, and told me there was no one better...he was right and when I found out I was being released, she was my first call!! Learning how to walk again was probably the most challenging thing I had to do throughout my experience. I came to Tara needing a walker to get around, and in three months left on my own two feet with no aides. She devised a program for me that went above and beyond traditional physical therapy, going so far as taking a weekend class to learn the latest techniques, and then buying special tools to rehabilitate my legs. Tara even worked hand in hand with a team of experts to ensure that I had the appropriate braces throughout my recovery. I could go on all day, but I think you get the picture. If you are need of a physical therapist who is goal oriented, dedicated, professional, and will get you back to where you want to be, she should be YOUR first call!

Fantastic experience: Tara has made a tremendous difference in my life! When I first started doing PT with Tara I was using a walker & a wheelchair. Tara has patiently worked with me to retrain my brain and nervous system to walk again. Less than 2 years later I am now using just a cane outside & can walk confidently inside. She worked with me to walk down the aisle at my son's wedding. Now my goal is to go on a trip to Paris & London & be able to navigate the cobblestones!

Thank you Ann! I am so excited for everything you are accomplishing and continue to accomplish. Paris, here you come :)

Fantastic experience: I recently went to Tara at the recommendation of a good friend in my neighborhood. I had an ischemic brain stroke about a year ago and had hit a roadblock with my recovery process. Previously I fully utilized a well known outpatient hospital affiliated facility. They were nice but I felt like a number and their knowledge of how to tailor their program to my needs and also even their ability to do so was just not there. Tara’s real value is her depth and breadth of knowledge and her constant analysis of my progress. Her tailored approach yields real and measurable results in short order. I am quite a satisfied client. Any of you out there that are motivated to progress and not live with the status quo should make the first step and go see her for an evaluation. You have so much to gain and frankly so much to lose by not doing so.

Fantastic experience: I developed a movement disorder and severe spasticity on my left side in May of 2017 due to fluid build up on my brain. It took a while to get diagnosed by doctors and I've had a long road of recovery. Finding a Physical Therapist like Tara who specializes in Neuro disorders has been a true blessing. Though I have a long way to go, I know that with Tara's expertise, I'll get there. Her patience and knowledge related to my condition is unlike anyone else I've worked with. Tara came highly recommended to me, and I can certainly see why.

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with the struggles that a person with MS has for the last 15 years. I have mobility issues, spasticity, etc, etc. When I was referred to Tara I was at first skeptic of seeing another therapist because I have not had any success with all the previous ones. I do not regret the decision of giving it another try! First of all the treatment is tailored to your needs and you don't have to see a different therapist on every visit. She develops a plan just for you. I would recommend ONT any day. If you have a need for a therapist and you want to make your life better do yourself a favor a pay her a visit!!

Thanks Hiram! I love having the opportunity to help you achieve your goals!

Fantastic experience: I found myself one day having lost the ability to move my legs. After a week in the hospital, I was diagnosed with idiopathic transverse myelitis. Upon discharge my doctor stressed the importance of starting my physical therapy as soon as possible. When I called to set up my initial assessment. I was given a date of 1 month out. I was scared and felt like I needed to start my rehabilitation sooner than that. My wife went on line and found Tara who specializes in neuro-physical therapy. She agreed to see us immediatly for evaluation. Her office is clean and very welcoming. One of the main advantages of Tara over other physical therapists is that she talks in the same language that my doctors were speaking in. This helped me feel like everyone was on the same page for my treatment plan. Not only did Tara help me with the problem I came in with, it was her that told me that I didn’t need her anymore. She instructed me on how I could continue my rehab at home. The last thing you need to know about Tara is, she’s a happy person. Someone with a genuine smile. She will be the highlight of your day as you walk an uncertain future if you’re dealing with nerve damage. I highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: Tara has been treating my husband, who has been recovering from guillian-barrè syndrome since October 2018. Tara has extensive experience with neurological physical therapy and has helped my husband learn to walk again. Tara is diligent and determined and has used several different modalities to successfully help my husband regain strength, mobility, and confidence. Tara is very motivating and encouraging, and has identified my husband needs in order to create a treatment plan specifically for him. I highly recommend Orlando Near Therapy and am so thankful that Tara was recommended to us.

Fantastic experience: My daughter suffered a severe hemorrhagic stroke in February, 2016. She received 6 weeks of inpatient therapy, as well as months of outpatient therapy. She, unfortunately, suffered several falls and broken bones, and also developed severe spasticity of the left foot/ankle. I found Tara on the website around December of 2017 and called her about my daughter. She evaluated her and immediately began a vigorous treatment plan. We, at this time, were becoming quite discouraged and looking for hope. Now, just 6 months latter, the progress my daughter has made is beyond anything we could have imagined at the time we met Tara. Every session Tara works extremely hard, is focused and uses a great bedside manner to elicit results from her patient. She shares the joys of her patient and their family when improvements are made, and she shows great pride in her skills. Tara is the best physical therapist we have had the privilege of working with. When we began with Tara, my daughter was confined to a wheelchair, she now is able to get that left foot flat and walk with assistance. Tara also helped us secure a new brace that actually works. Also, my daughter loves going to her therapy. sessions! R. O'Neil

Fantastic experience: Tara is a great physical therapist. She thinks outside the box and is always inventing new ways to challenge my son and keep him progressing. She goes way above and beyond. We have been in many physicall therapy environments over the years, and Tara has had the greatest impact on my son's recovery. She has pushed him to new limits. He continues to improve and Tara continues to pour hope into him. He loves working with her and loves seeing the functional improvements in his life. We are so thankful for Tara's practice and all she does for her patients.

Fantastic experience: I want to start out by letting you know a little bit about myself. In 2014 I was in a boating accident which left me paralyzed from the chest down. I'm classified as a C4 C5 quadriplegic. When I first got out of inpatient therapy I was blessed to have Tara as my first outpatient physical therapist. She was extremely knowledgeable especially with SCI. I am a taller guy and I was concerned about people transferring me, Tara had no problem picking me up and passing me to the mat. She taught me so many different techniques to help me regain a sense of independence. Now two years later I live with roommates, I am trying to drive again, and re-integrating myself into the workforce. I definitely recommend her to be one of the best physical therapist I have ever had!

Fantastic experience: Tara is awesome! She has helped my Mother stand & walk with assistance after having a major stroke last year. She is the most dedicated person in her profession. She is determined to see that her patients achieve the most they can & continue to strive to meet their goals. She has never given up hope for Mom & we don't know what we would have done if we had not been introduced to her. Thank you so much Tara for your continued enthusiasm & support!

Fantastic experience: I have worked in the neuro rehab field for over 20 years. I have known Tara for many of those twenty and consider her to be one of the premier neuro rehab experts in the State. She is compassionate and knowledgeable and yet pushes you to be your own advocate in recovery to attain new levels of function with the goal being an enhanced quality of life. If I God forbid had a stroke, MS, etc. I would welcome Tara as my therapist. Gary

Melissa Bornstein 8 years ago

Fantastic experience: As a physical therapist, I have complete respect for Tara's knowledge, skills and dedication in assessing and treating neurological patients. She is excellent and I highly recommend her!
