Metro West Nursing and Rehab Center

Negative experience: I selected this SNF because of the reviews on CMS. That was a mistake. Most of the staff are rude. 2 or 3 individuals are nice. It is close to impossible to get a hold of the doctor, nurse practitioner, and management. I feel I have to contact the Agency for Healthcare Administration or Department of Health to get any assistance. Be careful if you are considering sending your loved ones here.

Fantastic experience: I am very impressed with the help that I received to change rooms when it was needed. I love the nurses and the therapists. They all care about the residents.

Fantastic experience: My mother in law’s Mrs Etidal Said got admitted at Metro west nursing home and we are very happy with the service we got there. All the family amazed by how much they are willing to do everything possible for her. Special thanks to Chris Dawkins from social services,Diana M Molina and Keerti Singh from business office. I appreciate the help from all the nurses and CNA . physical therapy and occupational therapy are excellent.Alex Barzdor and Ortisha Joseph OT doing amazing job.Appreciate all the physicians team members specially Dr Mark Briton and Dr Anthony Gimineo. My wife Evelyn Kolta very happy with all the staff. Thanks for everyone.

Fantastic experience: My mother Etidal Said got admitted to Metro west rehabilitation center and she is very happy with the service so the rest of her family. I am Evelyn kolta her daughter very happy with all the staff. The bulding is beautiful and neat , family type we feel we are home. We give special thanks to Chris Dawkins from social services, Diana M Molina and Keerti Singh from Business office. I appreciate the help of all the nurses and all CNA special thanks to Jesula Battiste RN. Physical therapy team is excellent. Activity is amazing job by Julia. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Negative experience: I saw two patients calling for the neep for help and no one came. And when they came they didn't bother to even help at all, if you're gonna have people visiting a medical center with family members at least help the patients calling for help

Fantastic experience: My experience was excellent. The nurses are lovely, the staff in the P.T. are very knowledgeable they know what they're doing . I was there for almost a month and was very satisfied, I recommend this Rehab center to all who needs therapy and rehab. By the way Vhris the SW is very nice and helpful l

Negative experience: The worst thing anyone can do is send a family member/friend to this place! My grandfather was sent here after his hospital visit for rehab/physical therapy on his leg & he came out worse!! He never got the physical therapy needed, they lost all of his clothing (we even bought him new pajama pants & they lost them by the next day), my grandpa declined extremely in the almost two weeks he spent at this place! They would not release him & insisted that he was fine. My grandpa couldn’t get up from the toilet & they said they couldn’t help get him up for 15+ minutes. WHO DESERVES TO STAY ON A TOILET FOR 15min plus! We made them release him to us and drove him to the hospital right away. He was dehydrated, lost almost 8lbs & was even more weak than he got there! They supposedly gave him a blood test and said nothing was wrong. As soon as we took him to this hospital, they confirmed he had an infection. This place is neglectful and the staff is misleading. They do not care about the patients and lie. I have already reported them but I’m writing this review because my grandfather is barely recognizable. Please save your family members and DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! The worst decision you can make is this place!!! It’s a death bed. I hope this helps the next person.

Negative experience: They killed my grandmother from neglect to abuse this is how she left their facility bruised and beaten. She left with black eye, bumps , and large knots on her head. When asking to see her they refused I literally had to call the people to have her removed from their care. I will be suing

Fantastic experience: The staff was very helpfu, from the front office to everyone that works on the floor. The Physical Therapy team was amazing in helping my mom to do more than what is used to doing while she stayedthere.. We are hoping for a better life for her. If she was to be placed permanently, it would be Metro West Nursing and Rehab Center.

Fantastic experience: This place is wonderful, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. They care very deeply for all of their residents. Candice at the front is the best. The entire front office staff is very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I come up here once a week to visit my boyfriends Mother. The staff and the residents are very friendly. I never regret any visit there. I would recommend Metro West Nursing and Rehab Center if anyone is looking for care for their Loved one.

Fantastic experience: Great facility, they care very much about their residents, they try very hard to make the residents feel like family, always finding ways to entertain them, they like to work with the family and maintain them informed. I feel very comfortable having my sister there, they show their love and concerns all the time. Kudos to all the staff!

Negative experience: Money hungry place! This place don’t care honestly it’s all a front. Rickey is not friendly at all and that is the head boss over the place. When asking to speak with him he continuously ask for a moment and literally never shows up. They just want the funds it’s very clear. The staff is amazing but please take a look at the leaders you have at this facility starting with Rickey… I wouldn’t place my family member here at all. Please think about your loved ones

Fantastic experience: My mom was in there for 3 weeks and they was good i mean they helped her get stronger . I had to get on some of the nurses and remind them to do things but otherwise, i think the nursing home is short staff and needs a lot more help. Chris the manager is good and got everything done that I requested. The fact my mom was crying leaving the staff and residents there was a sign that they treated her good thank you

Positive experience: Staff is friendly. Princess is amazing. The only concern I have is they need way more lights outside. Way too dark for visitors and potential safety concerns. Security would be nice but my wife has to leave alone in this darkness. Not so good. PLEASE PLEASE GET LIGHTS.

Fantastic experience: My mom was here a little over a month for rehab. The daytime staff was awesome!!! I love Dr. Maude, Christian, Jean and Gil are a few that stand out!!! Some of them really really care about their patients more than I have seen at other facilities. And my mom is a picky eater but really liked their food. She even gained a couple pounds from finally eating while she was there. They have activities for the patients. There were all kinds of games and trivia days, a day for manicures, an ice cream social and a BBQ while she was there. If she ever has to go back to a nursing home/rehab again, it would definitely be this one!!

Fantastic experience: My experience is that while the facility and much of the staff are really good and friendly the Family has to be very involved and advocate for their loved one. When the staff, from the director to the cafeteria staff and the laundry staff see you there regularly I feel they are much more attentive to your loved one's needs. The facility is clean and has a beautiful interior courtyard for the residents to be out in the fresh air. The Director of Activities and staff are superior in keeping the residents involved and socialized. The Social Work Director as well as the facility Director always have time for you if you have any questions or concerns. The Therapists are amazing how they work with and address each resident's needs plus I love how they greet the residents by name when they see them elsewhere in the facility.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are amazing! So caring and helpful to patients and family. The activities here have really kept my mother in law engaged and encouraged. Special thanks to Gilberto, the activities director for taking a special interest in her.

Fantastic experience: I was a previous employee of this facility. Hands-down Ricky, the administrator, is one of the best I've ever worked with. It was a hard decision to leave the great team I worked with. Activities department was great, always doing something to engage the residents. If you have a loved one who needs a good rehab, I'd strongly recommend this facility. Social services department is excellent with discharge planning and ensuring all needs are met prior to discharge.

Fantastic experience: The rehab staff is amazing, the nurses and cna's are very helpful. The building is clean and there are no foul smells. The food looks well prepared and the meals are well planned. If you are looking for a rehab after an illness or surgery look at Metrowest you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Took my grandfather here recently. After speaking with the staff and voicing my concerns my mind was put at ease. Being out of state and not being able to constantly be there is difficult, however I was blown away by the service here. The transition could not have been easier! Would recommend to anyone looking for any kind of long term/elderly care.

Fantastic experience: Took my Grandmother here and I was hesitant at first, but I was so surprised. They treated her so well and I didn’t have to worry about her being taken care of at all. The Nurses and staff were lovely and I recommend this place to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Based on reviews, I was hesitant to send my husband here to recover from a broken back. I’m glad I followed through because the facility exceeded my expectations. Sue, the Admissions Director was really nice, Chris, the other director kept me informed as to his medical status. The nurses, CNAs, cleaning staff as well as dietary folks worked really hard to ensure my husband was taken care of. They have social activities for the guest staying there, folks out in the meticulously kept gardens. Doug has helped him with physical therapy to help him regain mobility.

The Rehab team, activity staff, Nursing staff, CNAs, house keeping and dietary staff were excellent! 5 Starz for everyone! Fantastic experience: I recently had a stay here and was very apprehensive about going. But, upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to know that I had nothing to worry about. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and felt very much at home. All the staff from Cna’s to therapists to nurses, doctors all very one else made me feel special and very well taken care of. If I ever needed rehab again, I would return to Metro West and will gladly recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: It’s hard to make that decision to place your loved one in a nursing home because you can’t provide that care anymore. This team will not only take your loved one and care for them but they will also be there to guide you, comfort you and help you with this hard transition. Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the Metro West Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Physical/Occupational Therapy Department, Therapist and Program Manager (Mrs. Pascale Dorleus) for their professionalism and caring dedication that I observed from each Therapist as they worked with residents at the center. Because of their knowledge and experience I can truly say that I am much better now than when I arrived. Fantastic experience: MetroWest is one of the top facilities in the Orlando area. As a marketer I have toured many facilities in Seminole, Orange and Volusia county and it definitely stands out as one of the more clean, well maintained buildings along with the outstanding commitment to care. Not only is it good looking on the outside but the staff and admin team is unlike any other I’ve ever seen. It’s truely like a family to work with and I would trust them with my loved ones any day of the week!!

Fantastic experience: This facility is very clean and the workers are very professional. I appreciate that they keep all the doors locked for protection of residents and unwanted guess. They take care of any concerns. I am also able to reach any of the staff when I do have a concern or question.

Fantastic experience: I worked at Metrowest as an interim for a short period of time. I was touched by the care given to those residents all the way from administration to the CNA’s. As an employee there the support and encouragement by other staff to help you strive and succeed in your position , is amazing! Metrowest is a great place to work and bring your love ones!!

Fantastic experience: The nursing staff took great care of my grandmother-in-law after her amputation. The rehab department had their work cut out for them but got her moving. Any concerns or requests were addressed timely and honestly. We really appreciated their care and concern for her.

Fantastic experience: I have worked with skilled nursing facilities for the past 5 years. And I've been with the company for 7 months now. All staff is very welcoming from the start, as soon as you step foot into the building you are greeted and assisted. I recommend stopping by and taking a tour if you have a loved one needing some short term rehab or long term care. Even if this is all a new experience for you all staff is available to help through the process.

Fantastic experience: Ive worked there for over 8 years and I’m very sad to be leaving. I’m moving up north for my husbands new job soon. I will truly miss the staff and residents. They’ve become my family over these years. I worked in several nursing facilities in the area through agency before setting at Metrowest. Metrowest is by far the best facility in this area. It’s 5 star for a reason.

Fantastic experience: As a psychologist who has experience in a number of nursing facilities in Central Florida, this place isn't that bad and that gets them 5-stars. The physical therapy/occupational therapy staff (m-f 8-6p) is fantastic and really help patients recover quickly, while also keeping them safe. The food looks good enough to eat (which is saying something for "hospital food") and the facility is kept up nicely. Residents can garden and eat the fruits of their labor. As for the complaints posted, evening and weekend skeleton crews are the new normal in skilled nursing. This facility is more responsive to call lights than any other facility I've worked. This is one of the few places that I would refer friends/family to for skilled nursing care.

Fantastic experience: My grandfather has been there for a little over a week now. He had a stroke and barely speaks English. There are tons of bilingual staff there to help. And in just 8 days we have already seen improvement. He has been in other rehab facilities in the past and none compare. Metro West has kept my family and I informed and updated on his care. The nursing staff is very attentive and truly care. I am very pleased with the facility.
