Baywood Crossing Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center

Negative experience: This place is horrible!!! My mom spent a few days here before I took her out. In a few days, I start noticing signs of her health declining and she was only there for PT. I demanded they send her to the ER and we decided then she wasn't going back. There were so many things wrong, it would take me all day to explain.If you are thinking of putting love ones here, please take a tour of the entire place. The admission person, Hannah tried her best to help write the wrongs of this place, but there was too much happening. The only reason they are getting one star is because I couldn't post without adding it. Be blessed and please check on your family members if they are in this place.

Fantastic experience: It's an amazing place to come and visit my grandpa, he's well taken care of. I appreciate that they taken really good of him.

Positive experience: The staff at BC are conscientious and seem to truly care about the residents there. It is very difficult to place a loved one in someone else's care, but I am comfortable that the staff is working to take good care of my father.

Fantastic experience: My mom has been living here since December 2022 and she loves it. They always treat her well, feed her well and regular and have managed her meds perfect. If you got a loved one, I highly recommend Baywood Crossing

Fantastic experience: Don't understand poor reviews, unless they are old complaints which have been corrected. Mom just died with Hospice at Baywood, where she had been for just a few weeks. The care and consideration was exceptional, for Mom and us. I would not have put her in Hospice if she would lose her care team at Baywood. The were wonderful.

Fantastic experience: My mom was placed in hospice care at Baywood Crossing about 4 days after breaking a hip. Because of her age and extenuating medical circumstances she was not a candidate for surgery and rehabilitation. The nurses and staff at Baywood Crossing were compassionate and professional during her stay before she passed. They did a nice job managing her pain and trying to make her comfortable. These facilities are under quite a bit of pressure because of the current pandemic, but we felt completely safe while visiting and felt my mom received excellent care.

Fantastic experience: Facility is always clean and the staff are very caring and friendly. The managers and Administrator go above and beyond for their residents. Holidays and special events are given special attention for the residents to enjoy. I would highly recommend this facility for rehab and long term care.

Fantastic experience: For the most part the associates here have done a wonderful job. My pain nurses really have been really good at giving me my meds. Sometimes things come up that causes a delay. But after everything settles down I receive my medication. Rebecca Boerwinkle always comes in with a smile and makes me feel at ease and comfortable. I'm probably spelling her name wrong but Laurie has been been awesome also she makes sure my medications are on time. There is one more and I know I am going to mess her name up but here I go. I think her name is Mona I could be wrong She is a wonderful nurse that's about the same age as I am. She has a great since of humor and does a wonderful job. So I want my nursing staff to know I really appreciate them. I am sure I have missed a couple of nurses but they know who they are. My therapist are absolutely awesome with the exception of one which I won't name. Faith is just, ,awesome and friendly. She doesn't let you get away with anything either. What can I say about Justin. I'll start with this, he tells it like it is and you have to really appreciate someone that doesn't sugarcoat anything. It makes me want to work that much harder. So I do. Stephanie is a very kind and helpful therapist while I am in therapy. Always willing to help. There is one other gentleman Randy DOR that helped me very much on the 8th of May. I was having some difficulty filling an appeal and he went out of his way to help me. Yes there are frustrating and trying times. Just remember this if nothing else they have many patients to look after and sometimes you just have to wait and let them handle the emergencies first and then you will be a whole lot happier. I'm sorry to say that it took me almost two weeks to figure it out. If I offended anyone I am truly sorry. And I am most sorry for Not being very pleasant to the ones that I love most, my sister who has been here for me since day one and my brother in law..THEY mean everything to me. I am very thankful for them. I hope they can forgive me. Please don't make the mistakes I made and get well. THANK YOU BAYWOOD CROSSINGS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!

Fantastic experience: My older brother has been at Baywood since the beginning of 2020. The staff has always been courteous and attentive to his needs. I have seen great acts of kindness, above and beyond their job descriptions, in helping my brother. I visit him (unannounced) at least 3 times a week at varying times, so I think I have been able to adequately observe the facility. I would highly recommend Baywood Crossing. He was admitted when COVID started (unrelated health issues), and so they had to do EVERYTHING to get him situated and made comfortable since we were not allowed into the facility. And to those reading some of the negative reviews, please take them with a grain of salt. We do have times where my brother is telling us one thing, and then we find out it’s not what he thought. Instead of getting upset and accusing the staff, we meet with them. Every time we have asked staff for clarification or help, they are always willing to meet and discuss possible solutions for him. Their goal is to make him as comfortable and have an "at home" feeling as possible, while providing him top-notch medical care. My brother’s physical and cognitive conditions are very difficult and not easy for the staff, but then I suspect that the majority of the patients are equally difficult, but in their own different and unique ways. Basically, the staff are working with his individual needs. BTW, I love that the masks are finally off – I can see the staff’s smiling faces for the first time in 2 years! Activities are back and there are lots of daily things for him to participate in, which again, staff goes out of their way to encourage him to join in.

Fantastic experience: A friend of mine lives here. She’s very happy here. There are many caring staff members here, including a wonderful activities director. I visit her regularly and always find the entire place clean and pleasant.

Everyone is always so nice, so friendly, always smiling, and very caring, especially for the residents. I recommend this place to any family.
