Negative experience: Please do not take your loved ones here. As a Nurse Practitioner who has been in Nursing for 19 year, I have never witnessed such blatant negligence, malpractice, and lack of compassion. My 90 year old grandmother (who lived alone and was independent prior to her admission was sent here for rehab due to lower extremity weakness and pain. The doctor approved, and the nurses gave her sedating pain medication twice a day which was much higher than the recommended geriatric dose, and kept her sedated and incoherent, but still attempted to feed her. She then showed a change in her mental status and labored breathing, and noone did ANYTHING! I asked for the doctor to call me many times which he would not, before I had her transferred to the ER where she was diagnosed with Pneumonia and severe dehydration. 2 weeks later she was placed in Hospice because she was unable to recover from this avoidable insult. I never received a call from the doctor or anyone from the center to follow up, or even pretend to care. Avoid this tragedy if you can.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional care and support! My experience at Post Acute Medical exceeded all expectations. The staff was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, is very willing to answer any questions that may need to be answered.

Fantastic experience: At 85 with several medical issues and coming from a home health environment, I transferred to the rehab center and then to long term care. Here at Pasadena Post Acute, I have a state of the art hospital bed. Being bedridden, I enjoy three fresh cooked meals a day delivered to my room. The staff is very friendly to my needs. Today, I am very happy person and would recommend it to anyone who needs this type of long term care. The staff is very well trained and professional!!!

Negative experience: No one answer the phone and when they do you are hold forever my husband was in here they are rude I was never able to speak to my husband so I guess I will report them to the state So hospice sent him back and they took the new clothes and his meds again I am reporting this place again

Fantastic experience: My loved one was placed here after not being able to care for their self. He was previously at another facility first time ever in a nursing home and the treatment/care received there, was very poor. Since being placed at Pasadena Post Acute, I can not thank the care team and staff enough. They go above and beyond for all patients. The care and patience I have seen myself, is truly exceptional. From the administrator, to marketing coordinator, to admission coordinator, to Cna's and physical therapy, they truly genuinely care and it shows. I can not thank one of their aides (Jacob) enough. He has been a gem for my loved one. Thank you Pasadena Post Acute for all that you do and have done for my loved one. I truly appreciate y'all and can not thank you enough for the Care you give. Side note, they also do community events and I think that is beautiful and shows how much love they have to give, not to just their patient's, but to others.

Fantastic experience: Loved the recent remodel to the facility...smells great and clean. Staff is amazingly attentive and caring with patients. Management helps with resolving issues quickly and amazing to work with. I would highly recommend this facility to loved ones and the community.

Fantastic experience: "We were all so happy with the nurses and aids, they all showed a lot of care and respect with how they spoke to and interacted with all the patients. My father n law has been to a different rehab facility and was treated poorly but had a far superior experience at Pasadena Post Acute. In the future if there is ever a need for him or my mother-in-law to return Pasadena Post Acute will be our first choice!" Fantastic experience: I am with a hospice company and this building and staff are all new. The building inside and out look amazing. I have been in this building a few times it is always clean and the staff seems to be very caring. I did rootbeer floats for the residents and the activity girl Sharon was great! She had music playing and a lot of the residents were singing and having a wonderful time. She made sure everybody in the building got a float if they wanted one. The residents seemed to be very happy and it really was the highlight of my day. Thank you Sharon for making this so fun for everybody!

Positive experience: First of all, let me start with Stella, ( Front desk) she is caring and always willing to help. Lizzie( Admin Director). is very kind and makes the transition smooth. Paulina(Unit Manager) is awesome! she handles any issues you may have with compassion, professionalism and a huge heart! Always makes the time, returns phone calls, my father is feeling better and settling in very well!

Fantastic experience: This is, by far, the premiere post acute provider in Pasadena, and likely well beyond that. The nursing staff are caring and compassionate. The PT, OT and speech therapists are the perfect mix of challenging, encouraging and comforting. The new administrative team has done a phenomenal job with the new renovations. If you haven't seen it, go check it out! It's stunning!

Fantastic experience: This facility is getting some much needed renovation. There are still some sections that you can tell are being worked on, but the other patients along with my aunt are moving around facility and seem very happy. The staff, especially Deb and Stella are very nice and helpful when you come into the facility. I am hoping that my aunt keeps getting quality care and that the renovations can help get this building updated fully. Lovely entry way and common area.

Fantastic experience: My dad was here for almost 5 months to recover himself from an aggressive cancer type. The staff, especially Lizzie, Tasha, Kevin, ladies at the front desk and at the nurse station, as well as occupational therapist, etc THEY WERE ALL AMAZING PEOPLE AND SOOOO HELPFUL!! They made sure my dad was eating enough, sleeping good and taking his medicine on time!! My dad gained more weight, was able to walk again, was able to communicate with others ( he was struggling due to the cancer ) and on top of that he was able to take care himself with little to no help from others!! Even my family couldn’t believe he could able to be like that again!! NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE HOW GRATEFUL OUR FAMILY IS TO THIS WONDERFUL FACILITY!! Thank you Pasadena Post Acute ❤️

Positive experience: The facility is in renovation when family member was admitted for physical therapy. The staff was great,they had a difficult patient to deal with. I do think they could use more staff. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: This is a terrible place, the never answer phone. Often don't answer door. patients aren't cared for properly, and are often ignored. There are a only a few people there that care and are good to the patients.

Fantastic experience: Staff is friendly and always willing to help. The facility is clean and smells great not like other nursing homes. Food is decent and always on time. No complaints about my time here they have given be excellent care. Greatly appreciative of Lizzie and Stella. I would recommend my family and friends of this facility!

They have accommedated my daughter and I in our unique situation and treated us better than family. Although they have been under renovation, it hasn't hindered their goals in providing quality care and service. A special thanks to the receptionist Stella Guerra, RN Lorena Perez, CNA Jacobo Ramirez, and housekeeper Damaris Lopes Caceres for their outstanding services. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate us.

Positive experience: I have been in 5 of these places since i got injured.i left other facilities due to cleanliness or lack of true medical attention. NO place is perfect for anyone and everyone is unique BUT i have remained here for the simple fact that in my case my needs are not only "met" but my woulnds are healing at a rate 10X than before. They have NEVER looked this good and the woulnd Care staff is not only knowledgeable they actually care for your well-being here, thanks to wanda and all her help!i would also like to mention the kitchen staff who do an excellent job of not only putting out healthy meals,i have a special doctor prescribed diet that they " exceed" on in every meal.

Fantastic experience: It's nice to see there's a renovation underway for both the building and ownership. I can feel the difference and the residents and staff deserve it. The people here are kind and compassionate, this is such a great and needed change!

Fantastic experience: I had a chance to tour the building with the new administrator and I was very impressed with the staff and how the building presented even being a old building it gave me a home like feeling, and how clean it was is always a plus to me, and the staff seemed very nice and helpful during more tour.

Fantastic experience: This facility has a great team who cares about what they are doing. It's very reassuring to know your loved one is being taken care of by a qualified team that takes pride in what they do.

Negative experience: This facility needs to be shut down. It is a COMPLETE FILTH The way that people are being neglected and not cared for blows my mind. It very Unfortunate to have a loved one here not being sought the proper care since he is disabled and unable to walk. Filthy room and he had not been bathed on 2 weeks since he has checked in. An open infected and untreated wound on his leg from 2 weeks ago boarding the ambulance. Its insane. They recently moved him to the "Clinic side" of the building because when he was originally admitted he was Covid positive he was in a covid area (Which was beyond words of filth) . He no longer has covid and here are some pic of the "NEW" clean room they relocated him to (ITS STILL GROSS) . If anyone recommends a clean/caring/ facility to where i can take my father please let me know. PLEASE HELP. God Bless.

Fantastic experience: I just found out my brother is now at this facility i live in pasadena so i well be visiting him frequently . I hope and my pray my brother is safe here , and well taken care of .. I am glad me and my sister live close . I have so much anxiety.. i see some good reviews which are making me feel optimistic .

Positive experience: The mom has a personality disorder and they got her medication adjusted spot on. She was really happy there and the staff loved her. They just need a cleaning service.

Negative experience: The place is terrible. I came here after surgery and I wish i would not have came here at all. They do have a few good staff members but the majority should be working at a mac donalds.. I dont know what was worse the roaches or not being able to get any meds. I asked for pain meds from the nurse all night ...NOTHING..didnt even get my regular meds. I most certainly would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. REALLY....THE STATE SHOULD DO SURPRISE AUDIT... There are a few good nurses and nurses aids. MS WANDA THE EXCELLENT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL,Ms SHANNON Ms JACKIE VERY GOOD...and there are a few more I am not naming that keep that place together. Had it not been for those employees... I would have been gone the minute I was dropped off

Negative experience: While the facility and the nursing staff itself are considerate and professional, a certain caseworker, named Marlyn is extremely unprofessional, inconsiderate and very rude!!! She is a bully, argumentative and DOESNT care about the patients in that facility.ONLY what’s on paper and how she’s going to achieve financial compensation!!!! Even going so far as to deny services and threaten retaliation!!! While every story has 2 sides there is NO reason or excuse for her actions! Make SURE this woman doesn’t have her hand in your or your loved ones case and you can rest assured your stay will be pleasant. If she has ANY say, you’ll find yr family outside in a wheel chair, packed & waiting on you. Mark my words!

Fantastic experience: Being new to hospitalization.There was no ideal what I would be faced with.I knew nothing about wound care and little more about someone to perform the services Since Oct.21 2020 I have been blessed with the best wound care team with Wonda and Claudia.Wonda keeps me encouraged with her dedication to help patients heal.From applying A&D to my small wound on right foot to my below the knee amputation

Fantastic experience: The day I took a tour I cried, let's be real who wants to put one of your parents in a facility? My mom went there with so many issues she had a bed sore so bad you could see her tail bone, a feeding tube, a colostomy, and many other issues and she e remained there for 5 months. Misti and Wanda with wound care got the bed sore completely filled in and skin growing, they know what they are doing and amazing at it.. the nurses and CNAS made sure she was always comfortable and had everything she needed and Effie always popped in and made sure everything was in order... thank you Pasadena care for getting me my mom back home and in the best health possible.. I HIGHLY recommend this place...

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. This place should be shut down and condemned. HORRIBLE PLACE.

Negative experience: Remove your loved ones immediately, they allowed my mother to develop sepsis due to an untreated UTI, that she eventually died from.

Fantastic experience: I have my mom here at the facility, and the wound doctor and wound nurse are awesome....my mother had a real bad wound and family and I, as well as my mother thought she was gonna lose a second leg......But guess what?Wanda and misty took care of my mom every day, treating her wound till now....and the result...are Marvelous.......wow......my mom wound is healing and looks alot better now.. they saved my mom leg......the nurses that take care my mother....are awesome....my mom a mute....and they have a understanding of her needs.......

Negative experience: This place deserves no stars and should be shut down! Honestly I have no idea how its still in business when it's not a sanitary center nor do they have attentive, helpful staff for the patients. It literally smells like urine and feces. My cousin was tranferred here from a hospital for rehab because she has Sarcoidosis plus an infection in her nose which leads her to have a lot of pain, trouble breathing, she could hardly walk as well etc. They did not give her any of her pain meds throughout the night (nor did they check on her since she needs assistance to get up) and she cried the whole night until 9am in the morning when they finally gave it to her. Since we have her meds now from discharging her after her horrible experience, she is supposed to take one her pain meds every 4 hrs., one for seizures and pain 3 times a day, one for muscle spasm 8 hrs, a shot etc so there is no excuse why they didnt take that seriously! Her mother called to tell the nurse my cousin couldn't breathe so she needed oxygen and the nurse said she would take care of it and give her some but my cousin had told us that the nurse DONNA gave her attitude and told her "Oh no you don't need no oxygen!" And left. Honestly WHY DO YALL CONTINUE TO HIRE PEOPLE THAT DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS NOR DO THEIR JOB?! I do not recommend anybody coming here.

Negative experience: My grandparents were admitted 10/6 and took them out 10/23. In those 2 weeks, so many things happened. Grandpa fell off the bed, he broke his whole toe nail off and no one knows how, he had a seizure and was rushed to the ER and wasn't breathing. Grandma said no one came when nurses were called, they hardly took her a bath, food was cold and terrible, we would find their pills on the floor, I can go on and on. Sheets were always dirty, floor was filthy, the smell was disgusting! Don't take your loved one here. Quality of care and professionalism is beyond horrible.

Negative experience: Horrible place and administration is even worse. Discharged my mother with no meds no place to go and no warning. If u love someone find anywhere else but here.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to the nurses here my grandfather is doing so much better. I’m less then 3 months he is completely opposite of the last nursing home.

Negative experience: I do not think they deserve even one star. My sister has been there only 48 hours and they have already "scolded" her for yelling that they did not give her a nurse call button and they are refusing to give her water. This place is criminal and I feel so helpless.

Negative experience: My mother in law was placed here after a car wreck. The place is horrible. They left her in a bed that had vomit dried on it for 3 days. They didn't bathe her when they were supposed to. I went to visit her today and she hadn't had a bath in over a week.

Negative experience: mother-in-law says thay are neglecting her not giving water and letting the other patients beat her up and do nothing to help her

Fantastic experience: My mother died there yesterday... She was admitted with a prognosis calling for two months and survived for eighteen months, She died with dignity, The staff of both Pasadena Care Center and Hallmark Hospice were worthy of nothing but accolades. Through a year and a half I had no complaints and never thought anyone acted in anything but her best interest. I have NO complaints and cant say enough good about them, Growing old and dying is not an easy process, but these people went above and beyond. The staff really are unsung heros. Pasadena Care Center, Hallmark Hospice, and their staff were nothing less than excellent. I will always cherish the heartfelt hugs received from the staff members and am very happy than my mom died surrounded by such caring and warm professionals.
