Glades West Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

Negative experience: My mom almost died because they did not catch that she had pneumonia. This even after we kept asking why they were giving her oxygen when she had never used oxygen before. The answer was always that she would get tired during PT, which did not make sense. We were ignored and mom ended up septic with untreated pneumonia and spent nine days in step down ICU, plus seven days in a telemetry floor. She looked gray, and even her funeral arrangements were made. Everyone thought that she would not make it. How is it that professionals do not notice when a patient is getting sicker and sicker, and since when is oxígen the solve all? This happened with daily visits from family members. I cannot imagine the poor people that do not have daily visits from family members. This place needs more staff. Patients are neglected. Who cares that the place looks very nice when it is impossible to reach the nurse on the floor. I would not recommend this place at all. The staff can be nice, but they have way too many patients per nurse.

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to Glades West Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care my grandmother received. The personnel showed her the utmost professionalism, politeness, and respect from the moment she arrived. The facility had what she required for her recuperation—it was cozy, spotless, and furnished with everything she needed. Her therapy was customized to meet her unique demands thanks to the highly experienced and dedicated medical staff. They made sure she felt safe and comfortable and kept us updated at every step of the way. Her progress was significantly impacted by the physical therapists' kindness and patience, who supported her at every turn. The feeling of warmth and welcome that pervaded Glades West Rehabilitation Center was crucial for my grandmother's emotional health. She was always so positive. She was continuously complimenting the meals and activities, which kept her interested and inspired while she was there. I want to express my gratitude to the entire staff at Glades West Rehabilitation Center for your wonderful assistance and attention. Anyone looking for a location where their loved ones would be treated with decency and given the best chance for rehabilitation should definitely check out this center, in my opinion.

Negative experience: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I cannot express how deeply disappointed and horrified I am by the care my grandmother received at glades west rehabilitation center. My grandmother, who has dementia and has had a stroke, was admitted here after a stay in the hospital. We explicitly informed the staff that she is at high risk of falling and needs close supervision, as she has the tendency to get up despite not having the strength to support herself. We reiterated this concern multiple times, and the staff reassured us that they would take the necessary precautions. Despite these assurances, my grandmother fell and hit her head during her stay. This was not a minor issue—she had already suffered a stroke, and another head injury could have severe consequences. After this incident, she was sent to the hospital for four days. When she was discharged and returned to the same rehab center on October 1st, it only took *hours* before we received another call informing us that she had fallen *again*. When we demanded to know why the proper precautions had not been taken, we were met with a chilling response: the staff simply "didn't have time." This level of neglect is unacceptable and inexcusable. How can a facility responsible for the care of vulnerable patients claim they don't have time for basic safety measures? Due to their outright negligence, my grandmother has once again ended up in the hospital, and her condition remains uncertain. I would never recommend this place to anyone who cares about the well-being of their loved ones. The lack of attention, disregard for patient safety, and complete failure to take preventive action for a fall-risk patient is beyond unacceptable. This facility is neglectful, careless, and ultimately dangerous for anyone needing genuine care. Stay far away if you value your loved one's health and safety.

Fantastic experience: If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate event where you may need to rehab, hopefully, you will be fortunate enough to find Glades West rehabilitation. They saved my life and then brought me back to life. Their nurses and CNAs are dedicated and hard-working. They fulfill your every need. A special shout out to goes to the 3rd floor, they became my family. The therapists are top-notch and truly helped bring me back. They will encourage you to improve and push you to get better. They will laugh and entertain you with their infectious personalities. Special shout outs To Maribel, Dora and Armando. My speech therapist, Allison, helped me with my insecurities with kindness and patience for which I will always be grateful. I left Glades with a tinge of sadness as I felt I was leaving my friends. I am forever grateful and thankful for the staff at West Glades Rehab.

Negative experience: So they told me for my family member it was a Rehab center and it is, but the facility is not clean when it comes to the patients , smells like Urine in the hallways , saw one patient with a pamper rapped on his head, another patient was trying to get my attention to get a hold of the nurse , beds have been recycled walls are dirty etc… Cannot add photo afraid they will know my relative and know that I was there

Negative experience: Why are they listed as participating in Care Plus HMO if they never accept those patients? I asked without insurance and the girl said 700.00 a day, 21,000 a month Are they crazy? They need to get off the list

Fantastic experience: My 82-year-old mother stayed here for rehab for over 2 months after being weakened by an infection. The place has a homey feel, and a compassionate and attentive nursing staff who made my mom feel comfortable and safe at all times. From the general manager on down the entire admin staff was terrific and helped us navigate a very uncertain situation. If your loved one needs a rehab and skilled nursing facility in Broward County I highly recommend Glades West.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy I placed my mother at Glades West Rehabilitation Center in Miramar FL. The care she received after her hip replacement surgery was FANTASTIC. Thank you SO much to the physical therapists, CNA’s especially Mrs. Juliette on the second floor. The chefs, mom LOVED the food, and the facility was extremely clean. I give extra thanks to the Director of Social Services Ms. Denise Williams, she made me feel SO comfortable, and at ease especially living in another state. She answered all of my phone calls/ emails immediately. I felt good leaving mom in good hands. Ms. Williams you are a gem and a blessing.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful that my mom has been admitted at Glades. This place is amazing, clean and pretty. My mom feels very comfortable in there. Everybody is friendly and supportive not only with my mom but with all the residents. I am very thankful with all the staff, doctors, nurses, therapists, CNA , socials workers... etc , but I would like to specifically thank to a very special person Claudia. Fantastic experience: My aunt was admitted to Glades Rehab and she had a special experience. The facility is very clean and pleasant to the eyes. The nutrition/rehab staff (Pearl, Camilo, Dora, Aura, Armando & Carlos) were extremely caring and attentive to her. They got her out of bed to go to the gym for therapy and to the courtyard for meals. Osmany, social worker, was extremely helpful and supportive. Marilyn, leadership position, was very kind and understanding. They all took incredible care of her and I will be forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: Activities are amazing. Nina, Claudia and Yamile are extremely attentive with not only my mom but all the residents. Their family Christmas party are so welcoming. Fantastic experience: The place is beautiful! The staff are caring and friendly. My mom has been to two other facilities and they can't compare to this facility. I'm happy to share that my mom is returning home. The stay was like staying at a resort covered by insurance just like their marketer said. The supervisor was friendly, she really tried to go above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for care.

Fantastic experience: Let's face it, there is no perfect facility. They all have their issues. Bottom line if you need quality care for your loved ones, you should check it out. It is state of the art. The team there was ready to listen and resolve any issues that we brought to their attention. They were attentive and showed empathy and respect to my aunt always. Fantastic experience: The best experience, the nurses are very loving and give a good care. After every shower in the morning I feel like a new person. Fantastic experience: My mother, Margarita, has been living in Glades West since May 2022. I visit my mom daily and can assure that every single employee has treated my mom with love, empathy, respect. They truly care about the patients and elderly residents. Every single person I've had the pleasure to meet in this facility are wonderful: nurses and assistants, Mai in admissions, physical therapists (Eduardo), housekeeping ladies (Aleida), receptionists, laundry personnel, Lissette, the wonderful ladies who organize the activities, the valet service employee (Harry), etc. I cannot thank you enough for taking such good care of my mom, who is 96 years old and happier because of all of you.

Fantastic experience: Good afternoon, I just want to share with everyone that when I got to Glades West I was a little skeptical, because of my first experience to rehab and I have to tell you they outdone themselves they were very nice/awesome, the nurses, the doctors, the social worker, Mr.Osmanning, the therapist / occupational director and her staff they were phenomenal they work with me helping me to learn how to bend my knee all over again they were patient with me and it made me feel really really good that they were here for me and remembered my name. I would recommend this place to anybody that need Rehabilitation, the CNAs were so helpful in making me have a positive stay at this facility they always checked in on me make sure I was okay or if I needed anything they were awesome and the last thing they made me feel so special with the graduation cap and gown diploma and all this staff truly was on their job duties, description however you put it they were on top of it. Fantastic experience: Great experience! My uncle was moved to Glades West for rehabilitation on his fractured shoulder. The staff was welcoming and always positive. Each person from therapists to food preperation to social wokers to janatorial staff treated him with kindness. I always felt they were concerned for his well being. The room and hallways were always clean and inviting. Special thanks to Osmany Rodriguez from social services, who put forth extra effort to keep the family informed and organized home care and medical equipment for his release. The Glades West facitity exceeded my expectations!

Fantastic experience: A very beautiful facility. My father was there for rehab for 50 days after hip surgery. All the therapists and skilled nurses very concerned with his case. The staff was always very attentive to my concerns. In particular Nurse Phoebbe and Nurse Eugenia. They provide transportation to all medical appointments which is very convenient especially for my father being in a wheelchair after surgery. Osmany Rodriguez the social worker made all arrangements very smooth in his discharge and throughout his stay.

Fantastic experience: My brother had a stroke last year in September, 2021 and after the one month of Acute rehab at memorial hospital, hollywood and he came to this facility for sub-Acute rehab/skilled nursing and stayed 2 months. It’s a drastic change in his personality both mentally and physically. This facility is clean, well maintained and just like a high end Jw marriott/Taj Mahal which has excellent courteous staff, commitment to quality, very high end quality care nursing skills and rehab ctr. The rehab ctr is awesome with well trained quality therapists. My brother improved so much here with his speech, swallowing issues,walking, occupational therapy, physical therapy, also they removed his peg tube since he was eating really good, he was on insulin before and his sugar went down drastically by special diet, his vitals was drastically improved. The staff was amazing from the doctors/Diazl), nurses(fifi), aides(Mary & others), physical therapists, speech therapists, social worker admin (Osmany), administrative staff, great admission director Mai, Rehab Director Marilyn and the awesome administrator who is very strict, serious about the facility. I had a peace of mind while my brother was here and I knew he was being cared for and they were on top of everything. The place is clean and the staff are excellent and professional. Overall my brother had a nice stay at Glades west nursing skills rehab ctr. Friendly, caring, considerate staff and good care were reasons for my brothers nice stay. Our family is a very highly educated and brother(patient) is a practicing neuro rehab specialist doctor, I am a computer science professor and my younger brother is a State Supreme Court Chief Justice. Good nurses, care givers and therapists were part of my brothers speedy recovery process to meet his goal to return home. I will recommend 100% without any reservation to everyone, If you need a good nursing home skill rehab facility for your loved ones which is a pretty much brand new facility, close to the hwy 1-75. I am glad I made a wise decision selecting Glades west rehab skill ctr for his treatment.

Fantastic experience: I wish this was my house because it felt like home. Therapy has a wonderful team and I have progressed a lot since my admission, all of the therapists are magnificent; but I would like to highlight the job of Maribel Ates. I love the food and if I don't like it, I can change because the offer a great variety. I also want to mention CNA JoAnn and all nurses are fabulous. Fantastic experience: Wow, where can I start. This rehab place is amazing. From the nurses, to the staff, to the barbershop, laundry,physical therapist, thank you. You're care with my dad is so amazing. He was at another rehab center earlier this year and there is absolutely no comparison .

Fantastic experience: I have been taking care of patients since they opened about over 5-6 years from Glades West when they are discharged home. They need Home Health services such as Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Theray, Home Health Aide etc. I always ask them about their experience at Glades and it has always been positive. It is a very beautiful facility, kept very clean. The staff seem very helpful, concerned, attentive and professional to the patients. I have a lot of interaction with the discharge planner especially Osmany Rodriguez and Director Denise Williams and they always make sure to obtain everything I will need to be able to take care of the patient once they are discharged. This role has been much harder since the pandemic for the discharge planner due to we have been unable to get that information by going into the facility. But to keep their patients safe they had to do more work to make the discharge smooth for the patient and families. I highly recommend Glades. Fantastic experience: My wife was discharged today after spending nearly two weeks at Glades West Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. If you are perhaps waiting for a no holds barred critique of this facility you are about to be sorely disappointed for a number of reasons. First, Glades West is in a lovely area and has a wide assortment of coconut and palm trees as well as many plants that make for a calm and relaxing atmosphere. This is especially true of the patio where many residents visit with each other on a daily basis. Second, the staff at Glades West is not only professionally capable but also genuinely courteous and friendly. I have personally witnessed many daily examples of this commendable attribute. In particular, I wish to mention Mr. Osmany Rodriguez, of Third Floor Social Services. From our first meeting with him to my wife's discharge, he was more than helpful and always asked us if he could something else for us. Third, Glades West offers a wide variety of activities that motivates each resident to participate. Thus, there is no reason to feel isolated or neglected. Fourth, contrary to what one has heard about the food at such places, Glades West has menus that are diverse, offer many choices, and most importantly, make a resident want to ask for the recipe. Fifth, Glades West has an assortment of activities in which residents can choose to participate. There is no reason for anyone to feel isolated or neglected. In conclusion. I invite any skeptic to personally visit Glades West to learn that what I have previously written is accurate. I am confident that they will be pleasantly surprised.

Fantastic experience: I would like to comment of the experience I've had with my family member at Glades West. This is a facility I would highly recommend for any family needing to have rehab. Staff is caring they go beyond their call of duty. Their sweet to all patients and residents their treated like family. This is the only rehab I would take my family to from now on. Its Clean and no odor.

Fantastic experience: This place has been God sent for our family, we have my mother and my brother both living at Glades. Mom has Alzheimer's and my brother suffered a major stroke. The entire staff is incredible, from the nurses, the aides, office staff, and the activity staff. They are always so helpful, totally transparent specially with the pandemic. They care so much about the residents/patients. If you have a loved one that needs a nursing home Glades West Rehabilitation and Nursing is for you. Top Notch therapist. Fantastic experience: Would like to start by saying that Glades West is one of the nicest buildings in Broward County. As an employee, I witness first hand all the things done behind the scenes to ensure the well being of patients, while providing the best customer service for their family members as well. After having visited most of the other facilities in our service area, Glades West also has the most bilingual staff readily available. Which is very important in South Florida. Like Medicare, I give Glades West FIVE STARS. :)

Fantastic experience: Glades west is a five star nursing facility. The facility is like a hotel. It is super clean. The staff is like a family and all work together to make sure that the patients are taken care of. The activities are like no other facility around.

Fantastic experience: I’ve called the facility and thanked them repeatedly for the past year. But I still had to post a review to thank them again. When my Dad was diagnosed with kidney failure, he lost all hope, I lost hope too. I work two full time jobs, and didn’t have the time to take him to dialysis twice a week all the time. Believe me when I tell you I was devastated, and worried I had failed as a daughter. My boss told me about Glades, he said his mother used to be a patient there and I should consider giving them a call. Thank God I did. My dad now goes to dialysis twice a week, worry- free, in state of the art transportation. He made friends with all the nurses at Glades, and brags to me about the meals he’s getting there compared to my subpar cooking skills he got when he was home. Lol. The nurses even threw him a surprise mini birthday party during lockdown, and I was able to attend by zoom call. It was very special. The highlight was seeing my dad shed tears of joy. I love you Dad. Thank you Glades for taking care of my Father. Thank you for treating him with respect and caring for him while giving me peace of mind. I get teary eyed when I think of all you guys do there. Not all heroes wear capes. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Finding a Nursing/Rehab facility for a loved one in "normal times" can be daunting enough but during the pandemic it was especially challenging since no facility tours were possible. Thankfully we had a terrific Social Worker who mentioned Glades West. Generally, I am not one to write reviews, but my mother taught me when someone does something nice, let them know. So here goes... After our 92 year old dad fell and sustained several fractures in January , he spent 4 days in the hospital recovering. Within days, we were notified he needed to be discharged to a Nursing /Rehab facility for several months. That put my brother and I into a tailspin. Glades West was recommended, we looked at the reviews online and took a leap of faith. Ken Angel the administrator has the facility running like a well oiled machine. Everyone in each department is brought up to speed on the patient and their family members. We were treated with respect and dignity at all times. We were informed of all appointments, progress and changes to his schedule. We were able to reach all departments at anytime. We were emailed updates on Covid testing and new protocols. The employees are very competent, cheerful , warm and welcoming. Our biggest hurdle was how to get my dad his second Covid shot that was due the week he arrived. Our admissions coordinator was able to add dad to the list of patients receiving the 2nd dose @ Glades West the same day he was due so we didn't have to stress about trying to transport him to his original vaccination site. That was a HUGE relief for us. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They have all been wonderful and caring. Dad's aide Marcia has been extraordinary . Ken even supplied dad with an Ipad ! Transportation was arranged for his outside doctor appointments. Each visit went like clockwork for drop off and pick up. They even packed him lunch in a to-go cooler ! The facility is fairly new, very bright , clean and well appointed. The grounds are well maintained, just like the website photos. Looking at the complex it could be mistaken for a condo complex or a small hotel. Parking is very accessible. It is located in a very safe quiet neighborhood. It is easily accessed from I75 and Miramar Parkway. Strict Covid protocols are in place with temperature checks, mask mandates and sign in forms. While we weren't allowed into dad's room, were very fortunate we were able to have three outside visits per week through a screened in covered patio. I'm sure these visits sped up his healing process and lifted his spirits. So there it is....Hopefully this review will make someone else's journey to find the right fit for their loved one a bit easier. Mindy Sturgis

Fantastic experience: I was accepted to Glades West Rehab after having major heart surgery in Cleveland, Ohio. My stay was almost 4 weeks. I highly recommend this facility and was treated with care and compassion the whole time. From the administrators to the nurses to the physical therapy department, management and other staff, everyone was great. The facility is 6 years new, and kept immaculately clean. The rooms, even the doubles, are very big and lots of light from the windows. There are nice areas to sit outside and several lovely areas outside and inside for your visitors. They paid extra attention to the COVID situation and I was tested several times while there. The meals were served on time every day and special requests accepted.

Fantastic experience: As the daughter of an Alzheimer’s patient I can tell you that it’s not easy to take care of someone who has constant mood swings, uses aggressive behavior to communicate, as well as throws curses around the room, and would even resort to using physical force to hurt me without any control whatsoever. When I found Glades West, it was a God sent. The nurses really know what they’re doing, they really got my Mom to calm down and had her interested in life again. My mom, who was heavily aggressive at home, became calm and happy at Glades. She loves the PT, the nurses and the activities she’s engaged in. These professionals go above and beyond to ensure the safety of your loved ones. Just think what it’s like to take care of one patient all on your own at home. These nurses have to deal with so many patients a day with different issues, as well as handle doctor orders and family members requests non stop. I remember my mom had a slight fever that could’ve been ignored, but no, they called 911 and rushed her to the hospital immediately. My mom gets a shower every morning no matter what. Her CNA gets her dressed and combs her hair. She was even nice enough to send me pictures and videos of my Mom during the pandemic so I wouldn’t feel helpless about not being able to visit her during lockdown. Thank you Glades for taking care of my mother, thank you for keeping the facility clean, thank you for trying your best every day to make everyone happy, even during difficult situations. I appreciate all of you. Thank you, the staff is one in a million.

Fantastic experience: This rehabilitation center has been a great place for my mothers recovery after surgery. She was able to get the help and rehabilitation she needed. The Physical Therapy Team is awesome!!! Very caring and loving with the patients treating them as if they were family, pushing them to try their best, but not overdoing it. The facility is extremely clean, no foul smells. Beautiful garden with a seating area. The Nurses and staff are overall very caring.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Glades West has been excellent in caring for my mom during her rehabilitation. The facility is clean, comfortable and very well decorated. The staff is very helpful and someone is always available to answer any questions that arise.

Fantastic experience: This is truly an excellent facility. Treating patients with love and respect at a time when they need it the most, this goes to all their staff from the moment we arrived. Mom is constantly telling me how happy she is and how she has also enjoyed the facilities garden where she enjoys suns warmth.. Needless to say we as a family have also been treated with kindness, making our visits so much enjoyable Management should be very very proud with all their staff for how they make Glades West feel like a home, thank you.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing to say but good things about Glades West. All the employees from the nurses, nurses aids which barely changes and most have been there since mom started, office staff, cleaning crew, food service - nutritionist - great food, physical therapy is great, social workers, the care team who call me monthly for my meeting to see if I have concerns and tell me all that is happening with her health, weight, meds, concerns, the Administrative staff works with me to help in any way, and especially the activity crew. They make sure my mom is fed every day and that she eats her food. You see my mom is blind and has Alzheimer’s and sometimes doesn’t remember to open her mouth. Mom is always clean. They remind me when she needs anything like shampoo. Cream, colognes. Even tell me to remember that the salon lady is coming if I want to cut her hair. Mom has been at Glades for close to 4 years maybe even more. I tell you I have been blessed that she is there. I travel a lot and the activities crew, Yamilet, Nina, Diana Skype me or call me so I don’t miss out on seeing mom. They are my lifesavers. They have activities and something going on all the time. But that cleanliness that you do not even realize there are old people there will win you over. For me 100% all around. Thank you Glades West for making my life a bit easier.

Fantastic experience: My grandmother was sent to Glades West RC. I honestly never thought I would send my grandmother to a nursing home. Especially after reading other peoples reviews about Glades West I was extremely nervous, but I must say what an exceptional place. First of all to start the place looks nothing like a nursing home, more like a hotel. There is not even a scent of urine or feces or sickness in the air. The staff is nice and caring. I am always greeted with smiles and familiar faces and best of all my grandmother always has a smile on her face. They have a salon that is available for her use as she pleases, food is easily accessible, Occupational therapy is going great. I do not have one complaint. I don't have anything to say about glades west but thank you. I never write reviews because I never think to unless I am extremely upset or extremely happy and I must say it makes me happy seeing my grandmothers smiling face everyday and that I feel comfortable having here in a place like this.

Fantastic experience: Though there is no place like home, this facility makes great efforts to provide quality of life and dignity for the elderly. My mother came in from another facility where due to negligence of their staff, suffered injuries requiring rehab, and progressed to a higher level of care. She became a permanent resident at Glades West in 2016 and I have been witness to the care provided. I am very pleased with her nurses, her CNA's and therapists; the cleanliness of the facility, personal attention, food services and activities. This facility is beautiful and dignified, the staff cares and management tries hard to keep the place running efficiently. I know, since I have had the chance to compare it with other facilities that call themselves 5 Star who do not deserve it. Even my mother's PCP and other professionals have confirmed the quality of care and attention to detail are far superior. Most importantly, my mother's well being is my #1 priority and seeing her thrive and smiling provides me peace of mind. Kudos to the staff at Glades West for all they do day and night, to make it as close to home as they can for our loved ones...There are angels among us...God bless them all!

Fantastic experience: Glades West is a five star facility. The staff is very helpful, from housekeeping to the chef. The food is great. The food is better then memorial hospital. Hats off to rehabilitation center. The best rehab i have ever been too! I will recommend this facility to anyone. Please keep up the good work!

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for Glades West. After looking at five star shabby rehabs that reeked of urine, feces, and hopeless and unhappy faces, Glade West Rehab Is amazing! Glades West is clean, modern, spacious, with private rooms with a window for all. Spacious bathrooms and showers in your own space. Two dining areas, gourmet meals, state of the art, innovative rehab. Beauty salon, activities area, several seating areas for people to gather or watch TV. Gorgeous courtyard so you can sit in shade or other sunny areas to get sun. Free laundry, valet, free transportation for Dr. Appts., your own LED TV and phone. This place wowed me. Why aren't there more places like this for regular folks?. Truly the owners have a heart for their guests receiving rehab in luxury. I am so grateful for the admissions Director who treated me as family as well as her staff. The transition here was made very easily. I can see this professional establishment has a commitment to excellence. Though I know there are no perfect places, this place is astonishing with their level of care. The director informed me of all Physicians, including surgeons and specialists and introduced me to everyone that would be working with my mother.The Director worked with me to specialize my mother's stay to be happy, advantageous for her to regain her Strength again. Though you can keep your own Doctor, you can choose a new one as well. Dr. Moya is the best Dr.and definitely a gift from God. He treated my mother as his own. My mother is very happy, secure, loves the attentive and friendly staff including her Dr., Rehab, Food, and surroundings. Truly Glades West shows attention to detail and excellence. They treat my mother as if she were their own mother and I am so pleased and at peace knowing my mother is in a safe environment.

Fantastic experience: My grandmother came home from this facility very happy. The staff was extremely helpful starting with Gaby, their marketer, and sylvanna. My grandmother was given the attention and help she needed. I was worried about choosing a nursing home but this one definitely exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic experience: This facility is awesome! I visited some so-called 4 & 5 star facilities because my husband had to go into rehab & was horrified & depressed. If I were put into a facility like that I would die to get out of there. I'm so glad I decided to visit Glades West! I drove up to a facility that looked like a resort hotel. Left my car with the valet & walked through the double doors to a beautiful clean & nicely decorated lobby. I was taken on a tour & tears of joy & relief welled up in my eyes. Even the semi-private rooms afford privacy, catty-cornered around a foyer sharing a bathroom! I knew my husband would have a speedy recovery here. Forget the star ratings. It must be political. Glades West deserves 5 stars & the others I visited deserved 1-2 at best. The staff here are also wonderful. The physical therapy room is state of the art & they have a van to take us to our doctors appointments.

Fantastic experience: I had a lot of doubts before taking my mother to Glades West. I was put in a very tough situation having to choose different facilities. I read the reviews and they were horrible. I came in for the tour, I spoke to different patients and family members in the building, everyone seemed very pleased. I was still concerned about placing my mother in their building, but I gave them an opportunity. They explained to me that if I wasn't happy, I could take her out of the facility. Now my mother is home in a very stable condition, better than before! Thank you so much to the Glades West Team and I would highly recommend to everyone.
