Fantastic experience: This is a clean and well maintained facility. The staff is amazing and very caring. My dad was there long term for over a year. When he passed in April, the staff were so caring and loving to my family. I strongly recommend this facility for anyone.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely adore everyone who works here. They are so helpful and so sweet. The physical therapist are all on it wanting to make you better and make sure you're going to be ok going home. The nurse's I loved my nurse's so sweet. Social worker helps all she can to make sure you have everything you need to go home. On a scale to 1 to 10.i absolutely give everyone a 20.they go out of their way to help you in every way they can.. I love them all. ❤️❤️.

Negative experience: WINDCREST AINT ABOUT NOTHING. YALL DONT CHANGE OR DO NOTHING FOR THE PATIENTS. STOP LYING. AND THE STATE NEED TO SHUT YALL DOWN.

Negative experience: Their house keeping leaves alot to be desired, Been visiting a friend right before you get to her room some one spilled something on the floor. It was still there from Thursday through Sat when I left. It was in the room where the patients play games .

Fantastic experience: This facility is so awesome! I love that it is so clean and comfortable, for the residents! Making them feel right at home! My dad has been in rehab here for the last few months, and all the staff are so kind and absolutely wonderful! They truly care for the residents and do everything they can to make them feel special! I highly recommend this facility it is one of the best in Abilene!

Fantastic experience: Best facility I have been employed with. I have become close to residents and staff and they have all become like family to me. My granny has been at this facility 2 times for rehabilitation. The rehab team is excellent. ❤️

Negative experience: This facility should be shut down. My father was at this facility and was given the wrong dosage of his medication and it almost killed him twice. After these incidents and having witnessed elderly abuse we thought it best to remove him from the facility. After which time we received a phone call from adult protective services stating that they were concerned for his welfare. DO NOT send your family members here. They make you feel like your opinions do not matter and that you're crazy for questioning their nurses and methods. Please if you value your loved ones skip over this place. Please.

Negative experience: My mom was at Windcrest for about 48 hours. During the 48 hours she was there: She was sent to the ER around 10:00 pm. I was not notified until 8 hours later. I was told they couldn't find her contact information. She was ALONE in the ER for 8 hours. She was in QUARANTINE (nursing home policy) and had clothes stolen. The only people who were allowed in her room were family and STAFF. Think twice before placing a loved one in this facility.

Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to be a part of this team almost 3 years ago. I love the people I work with and those we care for. I reccomend Windcrest to anyone looking to be a part of a community.

Negative experience: Would not recommend this place unless you don't care about your loved ones. In that case, this is the perfect place to send them.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Windcrest Health and Rehab are trained in dementia care and are devoted in providing a home like atmosphere. Windcrest has individualized secure unit to accommodate the different stages of dementia. Windcrest has a separate wing for individuals to receive skilled services with therapy to assist in their transition back home after a hospital stay or an illness.

Fantastic experience: I have worked at Windcrest Health and Rehab going on 8 years and have the upmost respect for the staff, residents and families. I see everyday how they care for the residents and family members. Great place to work and great place to call home if in need. Everyone from the Office staff, Social Workers, Activity Department, Nurses, Cna’s, Rehab Department and Janitorial Department truly care for each and every resident on a daily basis. We love each and every one of the residents that come thru the facility for just alittle while or come to stay. For me it’s not what we do for them but what they do for us as well. They fill my heart with joy everyday I’m there.

Fantastic experience: I have worked at Windcrest for over 6 years. I have learned so much about Dementia and Alzheimers. Not only from the Training, but from watching our amazing Staff care for these unique individuals. It takes a special kind of person to do what they do . I am very proud to say I work here.

Fantastic experience: Windcrest is more than just a retirement or therapy facility, it’s a home for some of the nicest family’s and individuals in the Big Country. Windcrest is filled with staff that’s main goal is to bring a level of care and support that is superior than an average care facility. Whether it’s Activities, Therapy, or a just a place to socialize and make new friends, I would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I am the Administrator at Windcrest Health & Rehab and have worked in long term care for over a decade. My staff go above and beyond for our residents. They care for them and serve them as if they were taking care of family. We are the only certified Alzheimer's facility in Abilene and the surrounding areas and have additional training, activities, programs, and therapy tools to assist in the care of your loved one. Negative experience: If you care about your loved ones don’t send them here. The staff are just collecting a pay check my mother was there for 4 mths and they did nothing for her. I’ve found her with other ppls clothes on not to mention they misplaced hers and only after hounding them did they “find “ it. Also my mother had hemorrhoids the size of a penny when she went in now they look like golf balls, they were told of her condition and did nothing to treat it I guess rubbing cream on her rectum was too much to ask.

Fantastic experience: My mother has been in Windcrest almost 1 year. We could not be more pleased with her care. At a pryor facility she was terrified of the staff, but here at Windcrest, she loves them. They are kind, caring, and helpful. Mom won't let them past her without a hug and a kind word. Nurses and aides keep us informed and always have time to answer our questions. We pop in often and she is always clean and well dressed. The place NEVER smells and even watching through the window before entering, the staff has a smile on their faces as they work with the residents. We are blessed to be a part of the Windcrest Family.

Negative experience: When in1995 what is now Windcrest Hospital and Rehab, Sears Alzheimer Hospital was built. It was indeed a flagship facility , recognized state wide. It was non profit and operated solely for the love and care of these loved ones (and they were loved).. Now it is for profit and we see the Flip side of the coin. Love of money!! Si

Negative experience: INCOMPETENT LAZY NURSES!!! I don't know which facility is worse Care Inn or Windcrest!
