Fantastic experience: Good dr visit

Negative experience: I called to become a new patient. I have a dire circumstance that could be easily taken care of. They turned me away without listening to me . They were rude to me and gave me no alternate information. I feel they do not care about people, just $$$

Positive experience: The place is bigger but the parking is horrible.There is absolutely not enough parking for as many people that could fit in the building.So again, make that make sense.The older place had much more parking.It was a smaller place.But it was nicer than the newer place. Above all, my doctor was the best Dr. Hall VERY EXPLANATIONAL AND COURTEOUS AND MAKE SURE I UNDERSTOOD.AND SEEN WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE AND UNDERSTAND WHAT I NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND!

Fantastic experience: Fast service very helpful and friendly doctor.

Fantastic experience: Running a little late due to a wrong turn but was seen promptly after updating my information. Wait time for X-ray and then being seen by a doctor afterwards was minimal. Found all nurses and the doctor friendly and professional. Would recommend to anyone in need of such service.

Positive experience: Love the doctors but hate the wait time and it doesn't matter what time your appointment is be prepared to wait for hours to be seen whether it's morning or evening hopefully things get better in their new place because it's terrible now. If I didn't have to come here I definitely wouldn't because you could spend the night in the parking lot and be the first one through the door and still have to wait hours to be seen

Fantastic experience: Was a little crowded but it did not seem to affect the time it took to be seen and taken care of. The Doctor and staff were super nice the experience was great.

Fantastic experience: No need to "drive to Houston" for the procedures BB&J offers. Their doctors are competent and each time I've sought their service, I've been completely satisfied. Dr. Currie was my surgeon and solved my hand problem when I thought it was simply doomed. Thank you!

Negative experience: New phone system is horrible. It enables employees from answering the phone. I have called 4 different times an hour apart and all I have gotten was a recording telling me to go to the "klara" site, write a message and someone will respond. I have done that. Four hours later, no response and still can't get anyone to answer the phone. I'm sure if I call the fondren orthopedic clinic in houston right now, someone will answer.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jones, Lacey, Whitney, and Nicole greeted me with a warm/welcoming smile. (Called Diane to confirmed team members names during the visit). The entire staff answered questions in a clear, concise and logical manner. The visit made my day! Dr. Jones and his staff are doing a wonderful job taking care of our medical needs.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff was speedy, no long waiting.Reciption was excellent as was the nursing staff. My first visit to Fr. Hall to replace left, he would not do surgery because 62. I had to loss weight. My BMI is 48 and my knee surgery will be done Dec.11,2025 by Dr. Hall. !!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone treated us with so much respect. I forgot to take the x-rays and they assured me that it wasn't a problem and for me not to worry about it. They made my granddaughter feel comfortable and unafraid.

Fantastic experience: I completed the check-in prior to the appointment. The wait time was minimal. The doctor and staff were very nice and informative. I received an injection in my hip and was on my way. Everything was so easy and my hip feels 1000% better!!

Negative experience: I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the quality of care I received during my recent appointment at your facility. While the scheduling and check-in process were smooth and efficient, I was disappointed with the consultation itself. I visited your clinic to address persistent ankle pain stemming from a previous injury. After discussing my symptoms with the nurse, I was taken for an X-ray. The attending physician reviewed the results and, despite my history of similar imaging showing no abnormalities, quickly suggested a diagnosis of gout and prescribed medication — without recommending further diagnostic steps such as blood work or an MRI. I respectfully voiced my doubts about the gout diagnosis and requested deeper investigation. Unfortunately, I felt dismissed and unheard. It was only after my insistence that an MRI was ordered. This approach felt rushed and lacked the thoroughness I expect from a professional medical facility, especially considering the persistence of my symptoms and my medical history. I am concerned that prescribing medication without adequate testing or exploration could lead to misdiagnosis and delay proper treatment. This experience has left me questioning the clinic’s commitment to patient-centered care. Is this the standard approach for all patients? Or is the focus more on expediency and billing than on accurate diagnosis and treatment?

Negative experience: I used Dr Jones at Beaumont Bone and Joint and the first nurse put a hard cast on and when I had to go back to have the first cast removed for them to take X-rays that first nurse cut into the cast & cut into the side of my foot & I let her know that she not only cut the cast off she cut intothe side of my foot . She seems like she didn't really care that really happened to the side of my foot & that it really didn't matter to her . Then when I had to go back to them after getting the 2nd cast another nurse removed the 2nd cast for them to do a other X-ray & that 2nd nurse cut into the side of my foot in the same place . She asked me " Was I ticklish ? " Cause I moved my foot when she cut into the side of my foot . And now my foot that had a broken heel feels like the foot has lead in the bottom of it . I DEFINITELY don't recommend Beaumont Bone and Joint & I won't ever go back there again.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Beaumont Bone and Joint for many years and I've always been happy with the care they have provided. Even now, in their temporary location, while awaiting the completion of their new facility, the level of efficiency has not diminished. I'm really looking forward to seeing the new clinic when it opens next year!

Negative experience: The wait is crazy what’s the point in having an early appointment if the wait will still be 1-2 hrs long…. When asking for an estimate the front just stare like a deer in headlights do better

Fantastic experience: Scheduled an appointment for a foot injury that happened at work. Getting the appointment scheduled took some effort due to the approval needed from the workers comp company, but once scheduled, everything went smoothly. I LOVE that I was able to complete check in documentation online in advance of the appointment. It made the wait in the lobby on arrival minimal. Was shown to an exam room quickly, had x-rays taken, and saw a doctor quickly. Dr. Hill explained my injury, showed me the x-rays, gave me care instructions, and answered all my questions. I was in and out within an hour. Overall, great medical care! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: BB&J are the greatest providers and have the best staff in East Texas!!

Negative experience: My son had a radius fracture of 14 degrees at the emergency room. We went to Bone & Joint & Dr. Jones came in to move his arm & check things. My son threw up so much due to the pain being so severe.. Dr. Jones wanted to do surgery next day & we are self pay. The energy in the room was “let me make a quick money decision.” We then wanted a second opinion! We took him to Texas children’s hospital where they took another x-ray & showed his radioisotope fracture was now 32 degrees! I highly DON’T RECOMMEND Bone & Joint. I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star..

Negative experience: Doctor was good. The short haired lady in the cast room was a monster. She was extremely rough on my wife’s broken leg. Degraded her with the other tech while she was still in the room with us. Told my wife to “use her words” and was generally condescending throughout the whole process, treated us like children. She did a bad job and the cast was cutting off circulation, and blamed it on my wife’s squirming while her leg was put through wrestlemania attacks. Once she left the room and my wife stopped crying the other lady came in and was very gentle and kind and agreed to cut the cast off and redo it. Retrain your cast staff and deliver an attitude adjustment.

Fantastic experience: I fell and broke my arm and had to have surgery. I was referred to Dr.Steven Jones. He was very thorough the best thing for me was his patience, I never felt rushed with him like I do with others.Another great thing I never waited too long to see him ,even in the waiting area..God forbids if i have another break BUT if I did I would without a doubt go back to Dr.Jones!!

I recommend Beaumont Bone and Joint to everyone needing orthopedic surgery or services. The doctors and all the staff are wonderful, they are so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They can answer any questions you have. I will continue to use Beaumont Bone and Joint for all my orthopedic needs!

Fantastic experience: Beaumont Bone and Joint has been the best experience you could have with surgery! Dr. Darrell Blalock was the best! I had recent hip surgery and that was the easiest surgery I have ever had! I could not believe how quickly I recovered from surgery! Make sure you do your physical therapy and follow instructing and you shouldn't have any problems! Thanks again for the ease of getting back to my old life! I would definitely recommend them!!

Negative experience: I went to see Dr Hill for severe foot pain I had X-rays taken I was told I had stress fractures and was put in a large boot I would have to wear for at least 6 weeks. 3 weeks later a neuropathy doctor he asked about the boot and I explained to him what I had been told he then proceeded to ask me if I had had an MRI for the fractures I said no just x-rays could not tell stress fractures without an MRI because it was so fine. Then asked if I could he could see my leg no I took food off if I my ankle swole and I suggest the left one ran his finger up my leg and said have a bump on your knee. I told him that that bump had been there for 3 years after my hip surgery and proceeded to say your knees and Joint at which time he reset my knee put it back in place go home and take that boot off wear a regular shoe. My foot is no longer hurt and I don't have to wear that blue I was very disappointed because the boot was very expensive plus the x-rays plus my copay very discouraged at the service I had because Dr Hill did not do what was necessary to see if I had stress fractures I would only give them a two because their staff was very friendly but Dr Hill was not what's not doing what the what need to be done to diagnose stress fractures.

Negative experience: It's been 7 days since my appointment at the Port Arthur facility, they referred me to a doctor at the Beaumont facility and that I would hear from them soon to schedule my new appointment. 7days I've been in severe pain and I haven't heard anything from anyone to get the treatment I need for my arm. Very disappointing

We sat in the waiting room about 10 mins got called to the back, another 5 minute wait. Nurse removes ma cast which took about 5 minutes. Fantastic experience: A year ago I found that what I thought was arthritis in my hips was actually hips that were both bone on bone. I started researching and of course, got the normal 'you must go to Houston to get the best care' from many friends. I contacted a nurse friend of mine who referred me to Dr Clarke at Beaumont Bone and Joint Institute. I spoke with a long term friend that has had both his hips done.... one in Houston... one here in Beaumont... and his recommendation was the outcome was the same with local being much easier for many reasons. I got my first hip full replacement last November (2023) and just completed my second this July (2024). The care, concern, expertise, and overall operation (pun on words) at BBJI was phenomenal. I just had my 6 weeks follow up with Dr Clarke and shared with him I am walking .5 mile and working out at the gym again. Everyone recovers differently but I told the doc that he has given me a quality of life back I thought I would not attain. If you are considering knee or hip replacement I totally recommend BBJI and Dr. Clarke without any reservation. He has truly changed my life.

Negative experience: The doctors and their team are absolutely incredible! However, the physical therapy department, unfortunately, falls short. The receptionists are not only unhelpful but also displayed discriminatory behavior. My grandfather, who has a language barrier, wasn't given the same respect as others. I had to personally visit the office to understand why his therapy had been on hold for an entire month, only to be told to call back later. Ironically, I've been trying to call all month without any success. This experience has been incredibly frustrating.

Negative experience: I give Dr. Thomson a 5 star for handling my sons surgery , but I give his Triage nurse Shannon a zero . My son had hip reconstructive surgery from an accident on August 6th. He was released August 10th from the hospital. They made us call and ask for his medicine to be refilled each Friday , and why each Friday I do not know. However, Sept 6th is Friday and time for his medicine refill, they tell us by law he can’t get a refill and he’s not even been out the hospital a full 30 days yet. So now my son has to sit in pain because they failed to tell us the Friday before that he will need to see a pain management doctor. It would’ve been nice if they’d showed any care or concern about my son’s situation. Shannon was rude on top of all this too. So, prepare to deal with excruciating pain when you have hip surgery, and we don’t go back to see him for checkup until the end of September. As if the hospital wasn’t the worst experience at St E with their nurses , now we have to deal with nurses in Doctors office who just there to make paychecks.

Fantastic experience: There are plenty doctors in there but the doctor that dealt with me is a God-fearing man. I was debating on having surgery then I decided to do so this summer because I heard him speak about God & when I did have the surgery the doctor and his staff were very nice and even the nurses dealt with me beforehand let me know they were going to take good care of me and that's exactly what they did.
