Mid Jefferson Extended Care

Fantastic experience: We moved my dad from St.Elizabeth's ICU to Mid Jefferson Extended Care and were very happy with those that cared for him. The Case Manager, Michelle, was a Godsend and helped us navigate helping him come to terms with his condition and making the decision to take him home on hospice. His nurse, Steven, was an angel from heaven. We never saw Steven without a smile on his face and he was always happy to help with anything that would make dad more comfortable. Our only complaint was with the shorter of the Badlissi doctors. (There were two of them.) One was tall with dark hair and he was helpful and took his time with us. The other one was short with balding hair and I guess that made him unhappy with his lot in life. He acted like it was an enormous burden to answer any of our questions or go over lab results with us and spoke condescendingly to my dying father. I am still giving the facility a good review, because I know there are people like Dr. Short Badlissi everywhere and the rest of the staff was so kind that they made up for his disgruntled attitude.

Fantastic experience: They were very hands on caring with the patient. Communication was extremely well. When you have a loved one in the situation of medical care. This institution went above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: The support staff, nursing, admins etc were all absolutely amazing taking care of our grandmother, post hospitalization and surgery. Cannot say enough good things about how they went above and beyond for her. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have had family members in mid Jefferson several times the nurses and staff are very attentive they answer all questions and work hard to take care of their patient's if I ever need rehab this is the place I would want to be keep up the good work

Fantastic experience: Mid jeff has always been a place that takes care of everybody. Team work makes the dream work!! Nurses, cnas, and just everyone as a whole always checks in on both patients and visitors working to the best ability to make sure each and every person is getting the care they NEED.

Negative experience: do not recommend to anyone who expects answers for their loved one. absolutely no communication, nurses don’t know anything when you ask questions, and they let your family member lay in a bed and get UTI’s, pneumonia, and anything else that could go wrong. they don’t care about you or your worry for your family member. they just ridicule you, judge you for taking up for you loved one, and laugh at you. night shift does absolutely nothing but walk around on FaceTime all night. just overall terrible.

Negative experience: Nurses are nice but because of the doctor's negligence my dad had to go back to Houston for brain surgery. I heard one of the nurses saying that the fluid coming out of the drain was too dark that it was infection they were going to send them back to Houston that day but the doctor said no he is fine he's alert no fever. wasted precious time by the time they sent him the neurosurgeon said the implant had to be removed... the doctor also said these regular doctors know about cholesterol and things like that but not like the specialist. doctors be humble if you don't know ask. Don't risk your patients lives. That's not fair that my dad had to go through all this pain because of your ignorance.

Fantastic experience: My mother was a patient in rehab recently. Each day on my visit she raved on the nurses that cared for her. In addition, PT& OT are reasons she was able to go home. This facility deserves 5 stars. Professional, caring, and thorough from intake to discharge. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank ALL of the staff. They took such great comforting care of my father in his final days. I couldn’t have asked for better care and kindness from everyone.

Fantastic experience: First of all let me start with the fact that this facility is by far THE BEST hospital/rehab we have ever been affiliated with from the liaison MALISA GILCREASE to the case manager JOSHUA SCHOONFI and every single nurse and our very Favorite aide KAYLA!! And not to forget the Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Wound Care!! THE BEST! TOP NOTCH from every aspect!!!! Literally it almost felt like a five star hotel especially when compared with the other hospitals and rehab my dad was in from Oct 17, 2022 -Dec 7, 2022 He arrived at MID JEFF BEAUMONT The afternoon of Dec 7, 2022 and was admitted and met by top notch nurses and also MALISA! My dad was there Dec 7,2022 - Dec 20, 2022 When he arrived he could barely walk with a walker, before he left he was up walking WITHOUT a walker!!!!! I had read previous reviews and was very skeptical about my dad being admitted. I do not know the circumstances of others stays in this facility but my dad’s was WONDERFUL!! His heart was breaking when he was discharged and KAYLA told us all goodbye!! Honestly KAYLA is THE BEST!!! Give that girl a RAISE!! Such a hard worker but so very compassionate with her patients! THANK YOU Mid Jeff Beaumont!! We will be forever grateful for all the care and compassion from every employee!❤️

Fantastic experience: Mid Jefferson Beaumont took well care of not one but two of my loved ones. Not only for long term acute care but the transition to rehab was so easy seeing how it’s in the same building and the same staff. Which made the transition so SMOOTH. Melanie from admin was very informative and educational which made us feel very comfortable with them going there. The nurses were caring, courteous, & very sweet. There were a few that stood out for sure most if not all went above and beyond. Sherie and Sharon (not sure if those are spelled correctly) were definitely two of our favorites as they are so personable and very down to earth. If the need arises again i would send any of my loved ones to this facility. Also the facility is very nice, well kept, & clean. The rooms are private rooms and very spacious.

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would. I've argued twice with nurses here and the doctor is super rude, I ask what the medication was and got staired at like it was a dumb question and he just repeated the name smh all we having is problems here

Negative experience: Dear family member put in there call the nurses station to confirm some stuff and we was talk to Vera Bradley and wouldn't let us talk we had to have a code we had to have this which was all baloney because the person I contacted never told him that and just didn't appreciate it and then they tried to wiggle out of saying what they said so there you go

Negative experience: Would give negative stars if I could. They killed my sister-in-law through neglect.

Negative experience: I wish I could give this place negative stars, if your loved one gets placed here please try to get them out and somewhere else because this place will not care for your loved one. They did not ever have their doctor on call or at the facility and did not even perform a simple procedure that was suppose to be done right then and there. They try to push more for comfort care rather than try to actually take care of and save your loved one. I believe they just try to get people in and out so that they can make whatever money they can off someone’s death and move on to the next victim. There was only one nice nurse here that actually cared, the rest were heartless and lazy. Please please do not go here or you’ll definitely regret it.

Negative experience: My mother was there after a 12 day stint in ICU at Baptist and went to a skilled facility in Katy with a 5x7 bedsore that had to be surgically debrided 3 weeks later. Maybe not only Mid Jeffersons fault but I nelieve they caused majority of it. Staff friendly courteous nice facility but maybe need to beef up their turning schedule n make sure its done n patient don't lie in feces over 10 min that is like ACID on SKIN.
