Tallahassee Memorial Rehabilitation Center: Reviews
Positive experience: Friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: After I had a 4wheeler accident and broken both arm with a wound vac on the right arm plus my right leg and three surgeries later. I stayed as an inpatient at TMRC and had met the most wonderful group of people ever the staff there are so nice and friendly that I almost didn't want to leave but after a month and a half it was time. Thank you for helping me get back to walking and teaching me to be independent again.
Fantastic experience: I was cutting and when I got sent away there I never did it since and I loved the doctor there she helped a lot and I spent six to eight days th
Fantastic experience: Love this awesome plac
Fantastic experience: No doubt probably best place. Specifically inpatient. As far as our patient. Came in a wreck from another place that had me messed up. It's me here though. Seems like two steps forward and 3-6 months later it's 1 to 3 steps back. But think it's not Drs. Nor meds. Something in life don't really wanna say on here. That I felt an probably should have changed 3 years ago. For me I know to usually listen to my gut that special little thing that says something maybe wrong. But I have to question it. Because of my issues an ask someone I truest. But think they've gave me the wrong advise. It's also sad at times. Wondering if what you hear is real. If feeling that way. I have found a solution. You probably have a smart phone. Record it. If hear or see on that. It's real. I hope that may help some of you. The out patient is good an friendly. Only part I don't like an if been as many even different states. All same. Night shift sucks! Can't sleep, issue anything at all. It's either see nurse. Which all seems even upset because your up. An staff is definitely. I guess they just all want a laid back relaxed job at night. Even though as a patient an in there for well you know. We're smart an checked in before tired. Or did an your baker acted. An could also just in there whenever might just need to sit or get something of your chest or talk. Because your going through to much in that mind an some can't sleep. But forced to stay in that room. My advice. Call before feel that bad. Get a appointment. The structure of doing something is nice sorta maybe. But I rather be free. Like now 3am when woke up. Got my dog took him for a walk. Eating. So I'm not sitting bored in a bed looking at that celling.
Positive experience: The place is great. My daughter is there. Only complaint i have is there policy. Me and my wife drove 1 1/2 hour. And only one can visit. Then was told my service dog could NOT come inside.
Positive experience: Definitely better than what I expected as my first time being hospitalized. Staff was super sweet and the food was really good. I enjoyed the therapies they provided and all the other patients were nice to talk too. Only complaint is that I wish there were more activities to do and that the walls and shelves had a few stains on them, but other than that, I really enjoyed my recovery here.
Fantastic experience: Good service and nice people better than appalacee hospital tmh has better service than appalacee they helped me get back home to my family thanks
Fantastic experience: The first time I was here was in 2019. They made me feel safe and welcomed. The therapists are amazing and the social workers are some of the best I’ve ever met. I just got released yesterday (11/9) and it was my second time there. Edward, my social worker, was AMAZING. He was so jolly and happy and always had a smile on his face. He definitely made me feel safe and I knew was always listening very intently to what I had to say. Dr Mamin was also great and he knew I was doing better so I only stayed a couple of days this time. Glenn from security at the observation place at the actual ER, was so helpful. I was starving and none of the other security guards offered me food at the ER, but Glenn got me crackers and Gatorade. He also got a nurse to put some ointment on my cuts (which is why I was going to the BHC in the first place). The staff at the BHC is amazing. Everyone is so kind and respectful, they don’t make you feel out of place or anything. No cussing is allowed at the place, but I got in trouble for cussing a couple times, so I apologized for using that kind of language, as I didn’t realize it made another patient upset. I didn’t get in “trouble”, they were just making me aware that it is triggering for some of the other patients. They’re super understanding there and the food is pretty good. Get the corn dogs! They taste like the ones at the fair! Overall, this place has helped me twice now. I’m hoping I don’t go back anytime soon and that I can work on finding safe and healthy outlets when I’m overwhelmed with anger or depression. Devyn, the art therapist, and Megan, the music therapist, were so kind and helpful! They definitely made it fun to be there!
Fantastic experience: The staff here is excellent, nurses, care assistants, and therapists. My Mom was admitted for a fall with a broken arm and neck. It might not be fancy, but we felt like the care for the patient was top notch. Special thanks to Nurse Rey, Therapists Sue, Nikki, and Lorrie. Can't list everyone, but ALL the staff was great. Thank you for your care.
Fantastic experience: I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Dr. D and his staff. I'm blessed to be a patient of theirs for the last two years.
Fantastic experience: I received excellent outpatient treatment for years and the staff were always respectful and kind.
Fantastic experience: Staff is great and truly care about the individual.
Positive experience: It is not a facility to which cardiac patients should be sent. It is for orthopedic patients. Not strong on personal care and grooming help (showering, bathroom assistance, etc). PT and OT staff are great. Some CNAs were really lazy.
Fantastic experience: I am very thankful for the staff at Tallahassee Memorial Behavorial center. Very kind and went above and beyond. God bless you all
Fantastic experience: I recently had total hip replacement surgery, and ended up having to stay here a while before going home. Everyone was AMAZING!! I feel I recovered physically as well as emotionally, because of the love, care, compassion, and gentleness provided by all of the staff I came in contact with. I will be getting my left hip replaced soon, so I'll most definitely choose to stay here!!
