Fantastic experience: Very professional and experience very patient and a good listen

Fantastic experience: I am now undergoing my second series of physical therapy after surgeries at TOC. The TOC physical therapy group is one of the most patient minded caring units that I have seen in the medical field. Their knowledge and understanding of what their patients need to recover is exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Drew Johnson gave me some preop exercises to do and instructed me on using a walker. I wish my visit was covered by CHP.

Fantastic experience: Drew was a great help in reassuring me that I was going to be able to correct my spine problems. He provided me with videos of what I needed to work on at home prior to my next physician visit and surgery.

Fantastic experience: The physical therapist listened carefully to my symptoms and the clinic did imaging, and TOC got me to come in for an MRI to determine if there was a lumbar spine issue or hip or both.

Fantastic experience: First day for hand therapy after surgery a week ago went pretty well. Uncovered the hand gauze and went into washing and working with my hand.

Positive experience: Great organization, I have been there a lot, every joint they have help me on, now in saying that, I am in a lot of back pain right now. I need to get into see you, and I got October 6th, 2022 appointment. That is not good as much business I have given. Thank you.

Positive experience: Rocky start, fantastic ending. I went with shoulder pain. Had an xray that showed inflammation. I was given a list of exercises to do on my own. I was also given an RX anti-inflammatory but as soon as that ran out, so did the relief. I returned a month later and this time had an MRI which revealed a torn labrum. PA who saw me gave me a list of different exercises to do on my own, and wrote an order for PT. At the PT appt, the therapist did an assessment of what I could and couldn't do with my arm, gave me yet another list of exercises to do on my own and told me to call if I needed anything (?!) and to have a nice day. I did these exercises as instructed and I'll just say that some days were better than others. Foolishly, I let four months go by, and one day I made a movement that had me in pain the rest of the day and into the next. I returned to TOC again and this time I was given on order for 6 wks of PT ( I couldn't get a straight answer, but apparently if the order didn't specify the number of visits, it is left to the discretion of the therapist. In my case, the discretion of the first therapist left something to be desired.) Within 2 weeks of proper PT, Kourtney Flowers had me doing what I hadn't been able to do for months. I had an initial 6 weeks plus I self-paid for another 6. I am now doing most of these exercises on my own. I still have a way to go before I can do what I once could, but the improvement has been wonderful.
