Fantastic experience: I have been most happy with the help I received from Joy of Therapy. The exercises and stretches have allowed me to address my back and sciatic pains. Ms. Smith reminded me of some of my Schroth interventions and extended those basics to make them truly effective. Too bad I didn't have the benefit of Joy of Therapy in my early teen years.

Fantastic experience: Because of Joy Smith’s excellent physical therapy skills, vast PT knowledge and years of PT experience she was able to both identify the sources of the pain I was experiencing and also provide very successful physical therapy treatments that eliminated my pain !!! . I very highly recommend Joy to anyone who thinks he or she may need some type of physical therapy treatment and/or is interested in having an overall PT assessment done. Though Joy’s main specialty is the treatment of scoliosis, she was definitely able to help me a great deal regarding all of the fall-related injuries I had sustained to my hands, elbows and shoulders. Prior to my initial appointment with Joy Smith at Joy of Therapy I had been examined by several doctors to whom I had been referred to regarding a palpable physical issue I had sustained as a result of a pretty hard fall. They ran a number of diagnostic tests and said that even though they were physically able to detect the palpable issue, they were unable to identify the source of this issue. Thus, they were unable to treat this issue. I then scheduled an appointment with Joy Smith at Joy of Therapy and I am extremely glad I did. Joy was the only medical person who examined me who was able to successfully identify the injury that was causing the palatable physical issue. In addition, Joy was also able to identify the injuries that were causing my other fall-related injury pains which I had been experiencing during the two months just prior to my initial appointment with Joy. The practice itself is welcoming, comfortable, and professional. As a practitioner, Joy is the same. She takes the difficulty of my medical condition and approaches it scientifically and personally so that I leave every time feeling better physically and mentally. Her abilities with the Schroth Method give me optimism for my future with scoliosis. I give my highest recommendation for Joy of Therapy.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend a Telehealth session with Joy. I had my first virtual session yesterday with Joy for Schroth therapy, and it was fantastic. I know this is a new way to receive PT for many, but take the leap and try it. I have severe scoliosis and it was amazing how much the virtual session helped me. My back feels better and my posture noticeably improved. I will definitely be booking more appointments! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Joy is an amazing therapist! She has helped me so much with my scoliosis, which keeps me being able to do sports and therefore happy:) I was worried about the consequences for my back of not being able to come in for appointments during social distancing, and about the recovery of my foot I badly fractured late January. I just got out of a walking cast, and it is time to get my physical therapy going, but I’m not up for going into a big PT clinic right now. I set up a virtual appointment with Joy, and I couldn't believe how much she was able to help me remotely! My back feels great, and she has my foot on a path to total recovery. Thanks Joy!

Fantastic experience: My daughter Alayna was referred to Joy, from Dr. Price, for Shroth exercises to correct her posture (she has scoliosis). Joy is very knowledgeable and makes the exercises easier to perform. After only 4 weeks there is already a noticeable change in her posture.

Fantastic experience: Joy is an enthusiastic and caring physical therapist that offers a personal perspective towards patient care. Joy consistently listens and gives appropriate treatment for patient concerns. She treats a variety of patients, but is particularly adept in treatment of scoliosis using the Schroth-Barcelona method. Joy's clinic is also a total gem. The clinic design is top-notch, more out patient clinics should feel this good to be in. The clinic is very welcoming, and is a great space for physical therapy; bright, well decorated, and practical.
