At our wellness center, our goal is to help you maintain optimum health by focusing on prevention, cardiovascular and strength equipment help you reach your goals.

Maintaining optimum health is the goal of the Ted and Sue Getterman Wellness Center, a member of the Baylor Scott & White – Hillcrest family. Risk assessments establish a baseline, education and screenings focus on prevention, cardiovascular and strength equipment help patients reach their goals, and cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs rebuild patients’ stamina and well-being

Our cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are physician ordered and monitored by specially trained professionals. We create individualized treatment plans consisting of exercise therapy and education for chronic disease management. Our programs are aimed to improve quality of life through increased endurance, decreased symptoms and reduction of risk for future events or complications. These rehabilitation programs provide more education and risk reduction guidance than a general wellness program. Both programs are covered by Medicare and most private insurance. In cases where the patient does not qualify for insurance coverage, a self-pay option is available.

Baylor Scott & White Health provides a comprehensive approach to the care of patients with diabetes. We offer services related to cardiology and pulmonology for heart and lung care, neurology for nervous system care, nephrology for kidney care, ophthalmology to prevent vision loss, orthopedics and physical medicine and rehabilitation and podiatry to maintain foot health.

Our fitness program boasts a comprehensive array of aerobic and strengthening equipment to help you reach your individual goals. The gym is open to fitness program members during fitness hours. As a fitness center member, you have the ability to utilize our facility as frequently as you desire without any long term commitment. Memberships are conducted on a month to month basis with no contract requirement.

FitSTEPS for Life® is a free exercise and nutrition program for cancer patients. Studies indicate exercises after cancer treatment decreases reoccurrence of breast, prostate and colon cancer by 50%. All cancer patients during and following treatment are eligible to participate in:

We offer a progressive wellness program designed to increase your health and wellbeing through exercise and education. Through this program, we teach you how to self-manage your symptoms and improve prevention. As a wellness program member, you will receive an individualized exercise prescription aimed to give you the energy and endurance you need for daily activities and management of any chronic disorders.
