Fantastic experience: As far as skilled nursing facilities go, this is by far the absolute best one in the area! The nursing staff is caring and compassionate, I am always so pleased to see how much the nurses in the memory care unit treat their residents, the cleanliness of the building is quite noticeable compared to other facilities. Therapy are all rockstars and go above and beyond. Administration definitely knows what they are doing and they are running a great facility. Thank you for all that you do!

Positive experience: I came a little after 6pm. The sign outside on door says to call or ring doorbell to get in. I rang the bell because the phone number is not posted inside. No one gave a verbal response so there may not be a Speaker system. I went back outside to get the number to call and could see someone coming down the hall to let me in. It would help to have the phone number posted inside the entry way. Also the printer was not working so I didn't get a badge after going through the automated check-in but otherwise the check-in system works very well.

Fantastic experience: This facility is top notch in cleanliness. Staff are very accommodating. Their patients care is amazing. I’ll send my aged significant other to this facility with the hope of good care.

Fantastic experience: Everyone has been very helpful. We have only one issue is my dad needs a wider bed for his size. He’s afraid he’s going to fall out of bed. Nurses are nice and answer my questions. Therapist discussed my dads therapy. Good conversation.

Fantastic experience: I have been in the healthcare industry for nearly 8 years. I have worked and seen many skilled nursing facilities. Many of which are old and need a lot of repair. This facility is gorgeous. The amazing part about this facility is how much the staff truly cares. The therapy team is outstanding, the nurses and aides truly care, housekeepers pay close attention to detail. They take covid extremely seriously and have done a great job protecting those that they are entrusted to take care of. 5/5 stars!

Fantastic experience: I can not begin to even explain the compassion, long hours, and dedication our staff has shown. The COVID 19 separated family's from their loved ones. The staff at Matlock has taken the time to spend with residents, ensured all of their needs have been met. Matlock has been able to keep and contained COVID 19-to very very very few cases of in the facility here at Matlock. (WITH THAT I AM THANKFUL TO WORK A LONG SIDE THEM). Our DON and ADMIN have taken every precaution to protect the residents and staffs safety. Working in healthcare during this pandemic has not been easy on anyone.... I am proud to say that we have the best team I have worked with in long term care. Our dietary staff has gone the extra mile to ensure meals are hot and just what they are asking for. Our Activities Director has stepped it up with all the entertainment for the residents... hallway bingo has been a big hit. Before you think twice about sending your loved one anywhere else, give our admissions dept a call. Make sure to thank a healthcare worker.. a little goes a long way.

Fantastic experience: Looking for a long term home for your love ones this the right place, excellent customer service employees are always smiling happy to help, great entertainment, good food, activities for the residents is outstanding they are always occupied with something to do, great nursing team, wonderful therapy team, housekeeping outstanding what else can I say the best, and one more thing I forgot to mention they also short term beds, and they do out patient therapy also, wonderful management team. They are family oriented they take care of their people.

Fantastic experience: To say how proud I am to work for an employer who believes in faith and prayer, AND DEMONSTRATES THAT would be an understatement. One common thread that ties us all together, is the Lord's path that, thankfully, lead us to where we are today. There’s not much more satisfying than knowing that you’re exactly where God intended you to be. Working for more than just this company itself, but also The Lord, does miracles for your spirit.

Fantastic experience: I brought my mother to Matlock Place in May of 2018 after a rapid onset of dementia caused by mini strokes and a low blood sugar emergency. She was the first resident of the newly opened secure women only wing. I was saddened just now as I read some of the negative reviews because that has not been my experience at all. I am grateful for the peace and comfort the staff at Matlock Place give me in knowing that my mother is being well cared for, especially when I couldn’t possibly provide the level of care she needs and they provide. Is everything perfect? No, however every time I’ve raised an issue about my mother prompt action was taken to resolve my concern. The nursing staff is wonderful. My mother lives in a wing with close to 20 other ladies who have various degrees of dementia, and who are mostly confined to wheelchairs, requiring help with everything they do including potty time and showers. The emotional atmosphere is often unpredictable and sometimes challenging, requiring great skill and patience to properly manage. It takes very special people with loving hearts and minds to do this kind of work. Those are the kind of people who care for my mother. The Activity Director also does a wonderful job ensuring staff and volunteers provide activities to keep the ladies engaged, enriching their otherwise long days with times of recreation and enjoyment. The management staff are very professional, attentive and responsive, always willing to help in any way they can. The last observation I’ll offer is something that still amazes me, and that I view as a major indicator of the quality of this facility. The entire facility is squeaky clean always, or at least every time I’m there, and I can imagine they clean just for me. The air does not have what one would call a nursing home smell or odor. Sure there are poopy and pee days periodically, but those are nowhere close to being the norm. The cleaning and maintenance staff do an excellent job maintaining the facility. That’s a big deal for me.

Fantastic experience: My mom continually requests this facility any time she needs rehab. She loves the food. We love that they have awesome activities for her, a beauty shop on site, a library with audio books, the care is wonderful too! They are always aware of her health and take her to dialysis on time. One of the best features is it NEVER smells like an elderly facility! They are extremely clean and thorough.
