Fantastic experience: Cornerstone offers specialized care in Colorado Springs. The staff are excellent and extremely knowledgeable. My experience at Cornerstone was remarkable, I was very impressed that they offer one to one Manual Therapy, and Dry needling. My case involved experiencing Diagnostic Ultrasound, I had never seen this used in Physical Therapy. This clinic is cutting edge, feels like home, and cares. I would recommend this team to everyone. Fantastic experience: Meredith is amazing! She is one of the sweetest and kindest person I know, in addition to being an incredibly knowledgeable physical therapist! I have been seeing her for about nine months and she has helped me so much with my neck, shoulder, and jaw. She doesn’t just give you exercises to do in office like other PTS I’ve been to, but really works on manipulation and dry needling and even doing cranial sacral work. Fantastic experience: Tremendously awesome facility and people. I've been to numerous physical therapists in my 57 years, but these people put the patient first. Also, if a patient has a special need, they will discuss additional treatment options with other therapists in the office. They are always willing to keep learning to provide optimum care to their patients. Very willing to incorporate new techniques to provide best practices. Of special note, they listen heavily to patient feedback. They want the patient to let them know as soon as possible, if something new is desired. Patients have to be willing to point out their problems and relate to the therapist if to hard, too soft, move to a different area, etc. For example, today while Gina worked on my brachial plexus (forgive if misspelled), I felt sensations moving from that area down my upper arm to my elbow. When I told her this, she said it meant she was on target. Patient feedback during the appointment, when therapy can be adjusted, is best. It's also much easier to explain if they are doing the maneuver instead of everyone memories being tested days later.

Fantastic experience: I came to Cornerstone after having brain surgery, which left me with paralysis on my right side. I was experiencing intense pain in my right shoulder, which kept me awake at night. After five sessions of electric shock therapy, the pain decreased significantly, no longer affecting my sleep. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Meridith at Cornerstone for a few months now for problems with my neck and jaw. I have improved significantly under her care. My headaches have decreased in frequency and intensity and as a direct result of her recommendations both my jaw tension and neck pain have been reduced. Fantastic experience: I have suffered with headaches and neck pain for the last 30 years from several different types of accidents and activities. You name it I tried it and never had relief or I couldn’t afford it if it was helping . I was referred to Cornerstone because they specialized in headaches. I have been coming here for six months and I’m finally seeing amazing results that I have prayed for, for 30 years . Fantastic experience: After 4 shockwave therapy sessions on my ankle I now have less pain, less grinding and better balance than I’ve had in over 6 years since a severe sprain. Following the initial injury was a few months of rehab but I was left with pain the Dr said would always bother me. I also tried steroid injections that gave relief for a few weeks but the pain would return. A few years later a specialist recommended surgery to remove scar tissue but instead I turned to CornerStone for manual therapy that helped me get better but was still bothered after a long day on my feet. Then recently I started shockwave therapy at CornerStone and it has been the best help in over 6 years. Fantastic experience: Meredith at Cornerstone Physical Therapy & Headache center is amazing! As result of relocating a number of times for work and moving across town here in the Springs when I purchased a house, I have been to over a dozen physical therapists for headaches, neck/back pain and more recently for a sprained ankle. I wasn’t very impressed with the results I was getting with the other physical therapist, but decided to try one more place. That is when I came across Meredith at Cornerstone. Meredith has increased the quality of my life beyond my expectations! Fantastic experience: Hello, my name is Mike. I have an experience I had with cornerstone physical therapy. I was fishing in the river, Arkansas river and slipped and fell. In the process I tore up the rotator cough in my right shoulder. Well, I had the surgery done and everything was done really well. I then did the physical therapy and everything went well until I went fishing. My biceps hurt when I cast and didn't get better with PT. Joel recommended that I try the radial shock therapy. After five sessions I have no pain when casting. So Nice to Fish again without pain. Thanks again to Joel and his staff for all the help

Fantastic experience: For the past two years, my hand has been hurting, twitching, and constant aching with a significant loss of strength due to an injury. I had been going to physical therapy and occupational therapy during that time. I was starting to lose hope because nothing was working. Cornerstone introduced me to Radial Shockwave Therapy (RST). After the first session of RST, the pain was greatly reduced, and after two sessions, my hand was fully pain free was no longer twitching. RST has made a huge improvement in my quality of life.

Fantastic experience: My accident occurred on April 30, 2023, in another state. One of my first calls was to Cornerstone Physical Therapy. I spent a week in the hospital, released to my family with a road to recovery which included 2 of the most serious of the injuries: My right arm that I was told probable surgery and 2 years to no complete recovery. Once I was able to travel back to Colorado, I saw wonderful Orthopedic Surgeon looking at possible total shoulder replacement. Fast forward, from June 5th until my second appt, July 3rd, with the Orthopedic Surgeon and MRI in hand, stated: "This is healing on its own and let's wait until November and reevaluate. I and my colleagues believe this is healing on its own and you will not need surgery." What happened that month, was the miraculous healing power of God and Cornerstone Physical Therapy. 30 days!! only 30 days! my right arm went from no movement or use to 60% and is continuing to complete recovery! Joel and Kristin Rauser have developed a high powered team of Physical Therapists who used their skill to get my arm moving. As I advanced, Joel had the team add Shockwave Therapy. In 60 days, I no longer need assistance for any activities of daily living. I believe I am at 80% recovery and expect a complete recovery by my appt with the Orthopedic Surgeon in November!

Fantastic experience: My son underwent Shockwave Therapy at Cornerstone P.T. to stimulate and accelerate recovery of a tiny metatarsal fracture to enable speedy return to play to competitive sport. Combined with other treatments, he miraculously returned to play in 3 weeks with full healing confirmed by xray! Great work and support from Cornerstone!

Fantastic experience: I had knee surgery and two year later was suffering from back and hip issues . I was feeling lost and didn't have a clue where to go and what was causing my back and hip pain . After meeting with Cornerstone and having two Shockwave treatments and some simple mobility work I am now pain free . Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Meridith at Cornerstone Physical Therapy following a car accident in December 2022. She is an absolutely wonderful therapist who has helped me to progress sufficiently so that I could decrease the frequency of my treatments due to my significant improvement. Meridith is extremely conscientious and dedicated to the optimal care for every one of her patients. Her use of manual therapy on my neck and shoulders for my whiplash symptoms was exactly what I needed. I have multiple issues affecting my left side, the most important being severe, debilitating headaches that used to keep me in bed some days. Fantastic experience: Where do I start… I was having daily vertigo for 18 months. I didn’t realize that was my problem at first. I fell a couple of times walking my dog and thought, what did you trip on. The dizziness and balance issues increased along with nausea. I thought maybe I had some inner ear issues. I made an appointment with my ENT and he felt I was having vertigo. He gave me two options for receiving therapy to treat the problem. He indicated he preferred Cornerstone because they were neuro specialists and the stronger of the options. I called the next day and got an appointment with Joel. I was a little skeptical when he put the goggles on me and maneuvered me around. Sure enough there it was the vertigo with a strong diagnosis. Joel explained what vertigo was caused by and I was able to see the video taken with the goggles on. He then taught me the log roll maneuver to treat the vertigo. The team set up several appointments where the maneuver was reinforced and also Checking to see if the vertigo had ceased. My life is now controlled by me again. I am no longer afraid to take walks. I am not worried people will think I am drunk because I suddenly would start walking sideways. I have been treated by all members of the team, Gina, Meredith, Johno, Liam and Joel. All are well trained professional and knowledgeable physical therapists. The facility is based on a team approach with daily updates on the patients being seen. This results in consistent care planning and treatment. Thank you everyone for the great care I have received. Btw I had an ankle replacement in the last 9 months which Cornerstone is treating me for. That however is a story for another day…

Fantastic experience: I’m grateful for Cornerstone! I was suffering from septic arthritis from a serious mountain bike action. Thought I’d be debilitated for the rest of my life and the PT’s at Cornerstone were careful to assess my situation and try various forms of therapy that eventually broke up the scare tissue, gained my range of motion and now I am skiing, biking and living pain free once again thanks to them! Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Cornerstone PT!! I've been going for aggressive pt on my foot for years, working with my orthopedic surgeon & Liam (who is amazing) after neuroma surgery. About 2 months after surgery I started forming scar tissue, which became more painful then the years of neuroma pain. Not wanting to go under the knife again, as it was explained my body may continue to create scar tissue. For over the past year, Cornerstone and my new OS worked together to try unorthodox techniques to rid the scar tissue & increase strength & tendon movement. Fantastic experience: Cornerstone Physical Therapy gave me back my life! I had been dealing with a vestibular syndrome for 2 years that crippled my day to day life. I couldn’t go shopping in stores, I would wake up and spend the entire day with vertigo, brain fog, and nausea. The worst part was that no doctor could diagnose me and half of the specialists I saw really didn’t believe that I was having these symptoms. I was referred to Cornerstone for vestibular physical therapy by my doctor and from the first day I knew I was in the right place. They ACTUALLY listened to me, believed me and knew exactly what plan of action we needed. Everyone from the front desk to the physical therapists themselves were so kind and professional! I went once a week for sessions and I started to see results quickly. The staff all shared notes on my progress so everyone was familiar with my case and knew exactly what progress I had made which was so comforting. Six months of weekly visits and I was back to my normal stable self, and I’ve stayed that way for a year and half and counting! I’m so grateful for Cornerstone every day. They are truly heroes!

Fantastic experience: The best physical therapy experience you’ll find anywhere! I had extreme knee pain; making it difficult to walk without pain. As an athlete and someone who is very active, this was frustrating as I could not figure out what was causing the pain. I went into Cornerstone and they immediately did an Ultrasound on my knee and found fluid building under my patella tendon. It took 30 seconds for them to find the problem using the ultrasound (quick, easy, and painless). From there, they were able to correctly address the bio-mechanical issues causing the pain. Went I left, my knee was completely pain free. It was such a relief to not spend countless time and money moving through different doctors/specialists. Cornerstone is very knowledgeable when it comes to diagnosis and the correct therapy to treat the real problem.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting from Florida, and when driving by the office, I wrote down the name "Cornerstone", and later came back to make an appointment for my ankle. My name and number was taken, and at 7:30p that night got a call from Joel the physical therapist, who made time the next morning when Cornerstone opened. By the time I left Joel gave my ankle range of movement I hadn't had in 15 years, using a technique developed in New Zealand called a Mulligan (not the golfing mulligan). Now a year later I went back for a tuneup, and got the same care from Joel and Johno. Clearly they were coming from an intention to take care of me, because I left with a functional ankle, and all the good care their team offers. I was recently in town for a week and was referred to Cornerstone by a family member for chronic neck pain and headaches stemming from a concussion a few years back. Joel took the time to listen to my issues and run me through multiple tests, many of which I had not experienced with previous doctors, physical therapists, vision therapists, or chiropractors. Fantastic experience: Ask your doctor for a referral to Cornerstone PT! The staff at Cornerstone are all knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and extremely friendly. The therapists work together as a team to address your needs and are able to contribute all their experience to working the solution. I've had pain and stiffness for years due in part to cervical spinal stenosis and they are making great progress in restoring mobility and comfort in my neck.

Fantastic experience: I used to come to Cornerstone between 2010 and 2012 before I moved out of state. They were never afraid to try things other physical therapy offices would never do but Cornerstone got the results. In 2018 I fractured my ankle and I beat myself up for not coming here for post op care. Today is October 13th 2020 and I haven’t had much mobility in my left ankle since the surgery, within 5 minutes of my visit, Joel used a diagnostic ultrasound device to find the issue. Then used a new ankle mobilization technique I’ve never seen and I now have the most range of motion I’ve had since before the ankle fracture. I highly recommend Joel and everyone at Cornerstone Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: Cornerstone Physical Therapy has given my 12 year old daughter her life back. She has gone from a bad migraine everyday to one a week and we are only 25% of the way through our treatment plan. We were desperate for solutions as headaches and vision problems were stealing her joy and livelihood. Fantastic experience: My journey with pain started back in 1995 in a bad car accident. Many injuries, the worst a closed head injury and a herniated disc in my cervical spine. I went to many therapists. One of them helped. In 2000 the vertebra were fused at C5-6. That is when the trouble started. Since then I have had a lot of therapy and pain pills. My doctor suggested Cornerstone Physical Therapy. I went there and Joel took on my case. After one session he had relieved the pain in my neck, head and shoulders. No pain after so, so long. It was like a miracle. All of a sudden I felt normal. I went back today and got the same treatment, same results. It is a very friendly place too. I love going there. I would recommend Cornerstone to anyone who has pain. I trust them completely. I will be going more, I now have hope for a normal life. New hope for my depth perception today. I was telling Joel how hard it is to hike behind our house because all the sandstone on the trail is the same color. Now I know that in the accident the eyes were jerked hard and the nerves behind the eyes were stretched and damaged. I thought the problem was having my cataracts fixed several years ago. Finally I have an answer and hope that Joel can make things right again. For anyone who has had a head or neck injury or a traumatic car accident this is the place for you to get back to normal. Hope is alive for me. Joel taught my husband a simple massage and he got to practice it last week. One of the muscles that connects your shoulder to base of neck was in a bad spasm. My husband employed the technique and it worked and the pain left and hasn't come back. As of the past Monday, I can now turn my head to the left and to the right. Very handy when driving. The improvements continue. I have been waking up in 0 pain. This lack of pain has helped my heart condition improve. The Cardiologist was very, very happy how much my heart is getting better. Fantastic experience: Come to Cornerstone first for Excellent therapy. I just read a bunch of reviews here stating that after getting treatment somewhere else, and not having received resolution, many have transferred to Cornerstone and achieved much better results. This was my story. I began at another physical therapy office after a traffic collision. I received chiropractic and PT treatment there for 8 months, and still hadn't improved. When I arrived at Cornerstone PT, as well as receiving the correct diagnosis, I also received specific and specialized treatment that was above and beyond the typical, and it made me feel better right away. I experienced first hand that Cornerstone PT's are current with efficient, highly researched and on trend, effective physical therapy techniques. Cornerstone Physical Therapists are innovative, and collaborate for patients success. Each therapist is constantly delivering outstanding therapy for each patient. Fantastic experience: I had a few pretty severe concussions 6 years ago. The first two years were a constant migraine, and since then I have struggled with headaches, migraines, neck and back pain. I have gone to multiple doctors, naturopaths, osteopaths, and physical therapists. My primary care physician recently recommended Cornerstone. Their staff has been wonderful! They are personable, kind, and intentional about getting to the root of the problem. We still have some work to do on my neck and head, but my mobility has increased and headaches have decreased. I am confident the team will get me squared away. When you go to physical therapy, you don’t want to just be a number or a name; you want personal care. The staff at Cornerstone has definitely provided that. Sometimes I am a little sore after physical therapy, but long term it always helps. The staff is helpful at explaining why I’m sore, getting to the worse spots, and helping me find exercises to do at home to maintain a healthy body. They also do dry needling, which is extremely effective at helping tight muscles relax! I would definitely recommend Cornerstone. Joel, Gina, Jono, and Sam are all great!

Fantastic experience: I met Joel and his staff at Cornerstone as a result of what had become a discouraging prognosis of my wife’s health due to a car accident. We had consigned ourselves to a lifetime of her constant dizziness, nausea, and lack of sleep. Thankfully, she was referred to Joel and, immediately, even with the first visit, the hope began to return. He diagnosed her much differently than others and she and I both saw improvement with each visit. Unknowingly, my own treatment and symptoms from the car accident began to worsen after a year and I lost precious movement of turning my head side to side. I am a quadriplegic and the feeling of hitting a wall with the muscles in my neck each time I tried to turn my head was, again, very discouraging. Joel was the first to explain using a spinal model what movement had been lost and what should be natural despite my spinal cord injury neck fusion. As with my wife, from the very first visit, Joel began to restore my hope that it could get better and possibly even better than I had experienced for years before the car accident. He was right. The treatment has needed to be consistent to regain weekly losses, but I look forward to my visits because I know I leave each appointment with much improved range of motion. It was only months after working with Joel and his staff that I discovered their “Initiative” is hope, creating hope. It was interesting to me that this word I used to describe what he restored to me was his personal goal and outlook for treatment. It could not be more true. Joel’s knowledge, willingness to learn, constant learning, and creativity to look outside of the box (such as dry needling) make him one of the most impressive practitioners I have worked with in 22 years of medical interactions since my spinal cord injury. Fantastic experience: Everyone at Cornerstone Physical Therapy is knowledgable and so kind. From the people who greet me at the front desk, those who help keep the insurance and payments straight, and all the therapists, I feel as though I am in good hands. All the therapists have worked together with me, teaching me what each treatment is doing and guiding me in how to keep aiding the healing process at home with stretching and exercises. Fantastic experience: I am very thankful that I was referred to Cornerstone Physical Therapy. I actually look forward to going because each time a get better and can see progress. I have been dealing with disequilibrium off and on for over a year. December 2018 got so bad that the doctors ran test after test and could not find the cause or relieve the symptoms. I thought I would just have to learn to live with it. Started with Cornerstone in May and have improved tremendously. While my symptoms are not completely gone, they are a lot fewer and I am able to do the things I did before, and I have hope that the symptoms will be gone because of the therapy I am receiving here. The staff is wonderful, kind, caring and dedicated to seeing me get better. I say I am thankful because my insurance randomly referred me to Cornerstone, the next time I need physical therapy, I will request Cornerstone by name.

Fantastic experience: I started treatment at Cornerstone for ear and jaw pain. The therapist there are wonderful. They work as a team for treating each patient. If I have a different therapist on a day, they know my case and how to treat me. Which is nice because I don't have to go through the whole story all over every time, like I've had to do at other PT offices. It's nice that they are all on the same page when it comes to my needs for PT. I would definitely recommend them for PT.

Fantastic experience: I was not always comfortable going to therapy as it seemed i never was getting better or i did not see any progress. That was different with Cornerstone, they treat you like a person, make sure they understand the issue or problem and start addressing issues on day 1. I was having issues with physical activities like golf, bowling and even your normal yard work and now feel like i have a path to recovery. Cornerstone is truly a healing place for me. Fantastic experience: I really appreciate Joel and all the staff at Cornerstone. Joel is incredibly knowledgable and caring. All of the staff are friendly people. Joel has helped me with vertigo issues and also muscle fatigue from daily working long hours on a computer. One time I had a painfully stiff and sore shoulder which persisted for around 6 months. I went to a chiropractor and spent hundreds of dollars and got zero results because they could never figure out the problem. I went to Cornerstone and Joel found the problem in less than 1 minute, no exaggeration. After three treatments, the pain went away and I haven't had the problem since.

Fantastic experience: Cornerstone has been the best experience for me. I have had significant headaches - migraines (in the past) and recently been treated for a horrific elbow injury. The team led by Joel Rauser, which he has an amazing staff, starts with his front office staff: Noel and Melissa. All the therapist are all caring and make you feel important. My favorite therapists include Joel, Katie, Chynna, and Jonathan. Should you need a PT therapist, I would not look or go anywhere else - Best in the Springs in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: My trainer from Lifetime recommended Cornerstone Physical Therapy in conjunction with what he was doing with my long time injuries. He asked me to do dry needling with them. My intial reaction was no. I had previously tried this with another company and had a really bad experience. So I was completely against doing this. When I met Joel at Cornerstone Therapy he talked me through the process of dry needling with the use proper size needles. I made a choice to trust what he was saying and allowed it to be done. The difference between the company’s for this procedure was night and day. I highly recommend dry needling with this company as they knowledge they have made the whole process and experience easy.

Fantastic experience: After suffering from head and neck pain for over two years, going to other physical therapists abroad, and going to multiple doctors, I finally found a place that was able to drastically help me. I originally went to Cornerstone based on the reviews online as well as the fact that one of their specialities is the face and neck. My first meeting was with Joel. He spent the meeting really delving into my issue and was able to come up with a treatment plan perfect for me by the end of the first session. I have now gone to four sessions and notice a difference. The therapists are open to hearing about your progress and setbacks and really work hard to find a treatment for them. I would recommend them to a friend for any problem, but especially with issues involving the head, neck, and shoulders.

Fantastic experience: I have significant issues with my back and neck, for which I have sought the services of Cornerstone Physical Therapy. This is a small practice that affords its patients outstanding support. As patients, we are encouraged to see any and all of the practitioners to allow differing points of view and a broad spectrum of approaches. This approach affords patients the best of all worlds. The therapists share their perspectives on patients each morning. The therapists are talented, professional, and personable. The reception staff are friendly and efficient. I once overheard a visiting therapist sharing his insights into the differences between Cornerstone and the practice where he was employed. He commented on how surprised he as that the morning meetings focused exclusively on the patients and their needs, whereas the practice where he worked focused on who had which insurance, with the best service being provided to the patients with the best insurance. There was no mention of insurance in the Cornerstone meetings. During treatment for my neck and back, I mentioned that I was having significant episodes of dizziness. I was amazed to learn that the Cornerstone therapists were trained to diagnose ear issues that result in my symptoms. They were able to determine which ear and which canal in that ear was responsible for my dizziness. They have been treating me for this with a significant reduction in my episodes, and a goal of stopping them altogether. In short, I have recommended this practice to several friends who are looking for good physical therapists. I can’t imagine finding a group more competent, professional, and personable than I have found at Cornerstone.

Fantastic experience: A place where where you'll feel welcomed and ready to begin your healing process. During my first appointments I wasn't overwhelmed with information or a detailed plan with the promise of instantly get better. Joel helped me understand why I had pain and where we'd begin the treatment. I have been through 3 treatments so far and feel better after each visit. Through manipulation and dry needling I have gained mobility in my neck relieving my headaches and tension. I was a bit nervous about the dry needling, but hardly felt them being applied into my muscles.

Fantastic experience: I have had chronic neck pain for years, especially since a neck surgery 2011. Although I have only had three visits to Cornerstone Physical Therapy, have experienced noticeable relief and am extremely hopeful the thoughtful and caring therapist there will provide continued success. Dry needling is one treatment that has given noticeable relief and trust there will be more options in the future.
