Mark Leenheer graduated from Saint Louis University in 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Following graduation, Mark completed a post-doctoral residency program with a focus in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy at the Cleveland VA Medical Center. He then went on to complete his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. He holds additional certifications in dry needling as well as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. Mark's treatment approach focuses on identifying the root cause of symptoms and includes joint manipulation, neuromuscular re-education, exercise utilization, stretching, and dry needling. Mark believes strongly in patient education and ensures an understanding of pathology, anatomy, and treatment approach is explained to each patient in order to include them in the treatment process. Mark is a Cleveland, OH native and a passionate Cleveland sports fanatic. In his free time, Mark enjoys spending his time with his family. He is an avid cyclist, skier, and trail runner.

Eileen Harder, licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, graduated from Ozarks Technical Community College in 2020 with her Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. Always up for a challenge and eager to learn to be the most skilled PTA possible, Eileen joined Action Potential to work alongside the best right after graduating. Eileen is committed to helping patients reach their functional and lifestyle goals and draws upon her training and skills to do so, implementing unique evidence-based approaches to care as appropriate. Eileen loves the fast-paced, engaging and fun environment of outpatient physical therapy. She particularly enjoys working with those with neurological disorders, and the elderly population in general. Outside of work, Eileen enjoys soccer, swing dancing, organizing social activities for her church, and visiting her family back in Missouri.

It's so nice to finally have a therapist that's both knowledgeable and skilled. And a personalized treatment plan instead of the cookie cutter stuff I've previously experienced. Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

The frequency of your treatment will depend on your physician’s prescription and the plan of care developed by your physical therapist. Most patients require treatment two to three times per week. The duration of treatment will depend on your injury and personal progress. Your physical therapist will discuss this with you following your initial exam and subsequently as you progress.

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.
