McKinley Park Care Center

Fantastic experience: My mom is currently in McKinley Care. We have looked at quite a few places that were either dirty or unsafe or had rude staff. This place is clean, the staff is awesome and kind. Even the residents are friendly. They have activities in the dinning room and today was karaoke. It's small and not fancy but it is comfortable. The administrator walks the halls daily and is open to any questions and available to help with anything. If you are nervous about whether or not you should choose this place for your loved one, I hope this helped.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff I interacted with from from desk to discharge planner were all very nice and friendly. The place is nice and clean. The environment and people appeared calm and stable. The person I was visiting likes it there as well.

Fantastic experience: I was not happy about my bonus mom being sent here from the hospital. My hesitation was based on the reviews I had read about the place. I was surprised and pleased to learn they are under new leadership. The director has been there under a month and is doing his absolute best to address and rectify any areas they were deficient in. My mom was upset and ready to leave when she initially got there. She didn't feel heard by the staff. She had double pneumonia and they had placed her in a bed next to a sliding glass door that had been left unlocked. I spent the next day there with her and was very impressed with Skylar, the new director. He listened to her. He made changes in her room assignment and care plan. She was kept in the loop the entire way. Additionally, he made sure the leads in charge of the different departments touched base with her to ensure her specific dietary needs were met and her questions about her meds schedule were answered thoroughly. Because of Skylar and his team, she is able to focus on recovering and going home. It is a relief to know she is in good, qualified hands during this time

Positive experience: With plenty of parking 4 visitors across the side streets, u enter the lobby to extremely pleasant entrance staff. The sign in screen though is very difficult to read and maneuver. Certain rooms have access to a courtyard, which is beneficial bc these rooms are very small. The courtyard is a wreck; plants need watering, no one ever seems to rake the fallen leaves, and the gutters are clogged with leaves. The rehab room is large and efficient, and the staff is marvelous. They are patient and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I visited my son William Kelley and the CNA and other staff was very helpful. The activities director even came by and greeted us.

Fantastic experience: I have been apart of the McKinley park team for 8yrs. We have seen our ups and down between staffing issues and covid. This building has recently gone through many staffing changes and is becoming a wonderful environment for staff and patients.

Fantastic experience: The rehab therapy was amazing, my dad was in therapy and the team was so supportive. My dad was always clean and happy to be there and made friends with the staff who helped with his care. I would use McKinley again for my families care. It’s sad that people only leave negative reviews.

Fantastic experience: I visited a former member of our church who had recently suffered a major injury. During my visit, staff members were very kind, hospitable and welcoming. I was assisted with signing in, given a face shield, a gown and personally instructed and then directed to where it was safe to visit the person to whom I came to see. For an extended period of time, I observed that interaction between a resident and his appointed Physical Therapist, and I loved the way that they respectfully interacted.

Fantastic experience: They are very nice and when my mother in law has a problem and I bring it to to her nurse she/ he is quick to take care of it right away

Fantastic experience: I stayed here for 10 days to recover from my Open Heart 5 way bypass surgery. This place is great....the atmosphere and the kind, caring, professional nurses and staff made an unpleasant situation so much better. They really care and that really comes across and helps in calming through this difficult time. They took excellent care of my wounds and put a smile on my face.. They have activities, physical therapy and occupational therapy to keep you moving and forward toward the goal of Recovery to return back to your home... I can't thank them enough for getting me through all this. Their facility is very clean and comfortable. If you ever find yourself in need of Medical Recovery....I definitely would recommend their facilities.

Fantastic experience: My family has felt extremely fortunate to have found McKinley Park Care Center when my mother needed nursing care. The facility and staff have all been consistently highly professional and compassionate. My mother has felt safe and well cared for at this facility during her most vulnerable time. I'm extremely thankful to the nursing, physical therapy and administrative staff for all they have done for my mother and for our family. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: My family member came here after having surgery for some physical therapy and the rehab team and nurses were amazing. The building is a little outdated but overall great experience.

Positive experience: My 86 year old dad is getting rehabilitated there after surgery. The food is not good I've decided to go get him and bring him home where I think he will recuperate in familiar surroundings with home cooked meals.

Fantastic experience: I was hospitalized at Kaiser Permanente south from a bad motorcycle accident and after some time they sent me here for an "advanced care facility." Looked great at first but it was a rough start. Jeff made things astronomically better immediately. physical therapy was top notch specifically mike! Thanks for your help. Food sucks though!!! Seriously
