The University of South Florida School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences prepares doctors of physical therapy, researchers, and clinical residents who have a strong foundation in basic and clinical sciences, and who demonstrate excellence in contemporary, evidence-based patient-client management.

The mission of the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences is to "Move Lives Forward" through the education of students in an inclusive educational, research, and clinical environment that embraces diversity, innovation, discovery, knowledge, expertise, leadership, collaboration, and partnerships.

Our School houses the Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree program, Professional Athletic Training Program, & Orthopaedic Residency Program. Not only do we provide excellent educational opportunities, but we have a growing research enterprise advancing our knowledge, a physical therapy center providing clinical care to Tampa Bay, and various service opportunities giving back to our communities.

Our unique placement within the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine allows us unmatched collaboration and synergy in education, clinical care, and research. Together we are all Making Life Better and Moving Lives Forward.

Fantastic experience: Although USF phones are a serious nightmare and takes a very long time to finally reach your department and this is very frustrating and needs to be improved, they can afford it. But once you get through to PT, they are extremely caring, professional, dedicated and you know they have your health as a very high priority. I love Dr. Bond and Kristi and trust them 200 percent.

Fantastic experience: I have used the physical therapy services at USF many times over the years and for many different orthopaedic reasons. I guess I keep going back to this facility because of the amazing amount of time they have taken with me and the warmth and professionalism that I’ve been treated with. I’ve used a number of therapists through the years, and while I have never had a bad experience; I must say that my therapy right now has been outstanding! I am blessed to be using Dr. Matt Lazinski and Dr. Craig Vecchiarelli (alternating them) for my reconstructed shoulder rehab. It’s a long and slow recovery but I seem to be moving along quite fast and I attribute this to both the extraordinary skills of my surgeon, Dr. Delbert Remaley and these two amazing physical therapist! Thanks to the other staff, as well; who make getting appointments and changing them seamless!

Fantastic experience: Shayne is giving me my life back. She is fixing what no one else dared to see or find. The administration staff is great as well. I could not be more appreciative!!!

Positive experience: Great Doctors Terrible 30 day cycle System. Will say you owe until said cycle passes. Secretaries kind of unprofessional. Talking HIPPA out loud. Makes sense, they're young.

Fantastic experience: The DPT's at this Physical Therapy clinic are all very experienced, qualified, and practice with the latest evidence. I would highly recommend them to anyone with joint pain, back pain, or post surgery.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience using Physical Therapy at USF. Dr. Heintz took the best care of me and worked 1 on 1 with me to get me back to 100%. I would highly recommend USF Physical Therapy.
