Select Physical Therapy - Tampa Palms

Fantastic experience: Back at the end of August, I had an awful break in my left humerus. After surgery, I went to Tampa Palms Select Physical Therapy. My main therapist is Justine Boyce. What a charm!! She is understanding and encouraging and makes the difficult tasks mentally easier to do. I have seen all the therapists at the Tampa Palms office and would highly recommend any of them for any physical therapy services you might need. Oh, I am getting close to "graduating" as most of my range of motion has returned! It will be good not having to go to physical therapy, but I will miss you all!!!

Consistently work with same therapist, everyone relaxed & positive, structured yet flexible, & best of all the personal interest in each client is obvious. Doesn't feel like a business. Kim Suarez-Terrell, RPT, feels more like a friend after only 2 weeks.

Fantastic experience: I really should give this Select Physical Therapy center a 10 star rating, but it wasn't available! From the moment of my first visit, I knew that this was a special place, with special, caring people! Oh, and their expertise also gets a 10 star rating as well. I went there for hand therapy for a damaged nerve, so I especially dealt with Amy, Lori, and Melanie. But I got to observe Justine, Kim, and Sonal as they did their "magic", based on the comments of the other patients. And don't forget Catherine, the front desk assistant who shared the special, caring, personalities of the rest of the staff. If you need therapy and want the very best, this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: People are very friendly and very knowledgeable of their jobs. They work with you continually almost from the moment you walk in the door. They are careful to pay special attention to places of pain on your body. They continually watch you as you perform you therapy. You were never left stranded for any long length of time. I highly recommend select physical therapy. For me, this is not my first time coming to select physical therapy. Approximately 5 to 6 years ago I had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder and I was ordered by my doctor to come here for physical therapy three days a week, 1.5 hours a day, for four months. They did an outstanding job with me and I healed beautifully.

Fantastic experience: I have no problem at all giving 5 stars to Select Physical Therapy. The place is clean and well-organized and not crowded. The therapist it's not trying to treat you and five other people at the same time. I don't have a lot of experience with physical therapists but I see nothing wrong with this practice.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! I have had 19 orthopedic surgeries, so you can believe me when I tell you that I've been to multiple PT locations. This one is the best. My physical therapist is only caring for me during my hour of therapy. Most therapy locations, the therapist is supervising 3-4 different people doing their exercises. This is the only time I've ever had one on one attention for a full hour. The place is clean. The therapists are nice. I have problems with the front desk. So, if you can make it past the receptionist, you won't be sorry you went there. Oh, and they have occupational therapy, OT, on location too.

Fantastic experience: It is obviously not always the case, but I’ve found that the majority of people who work in the healthcare field share a sincere, humanistic “caring quality” that far exceeds the reward of their monetary compensation. Shear fate put me in the hands (literally) of Justine Boyce, DPT; a physical therapist for Select Physical Therapy. Six years ago, I was suffering constant pain associated with stenosis of my lumbar spine. Initially, I was referred to another physical therapist who did a remarkable job of easing my pain for nearly a year, but the pain continued to grow increasingly worse. It became impossible to focus on my work, much less walking about 50’ from my car to my office. I finally connected with a spine specialist in St. Petersburg, FL, who diagnosed my condition as Stenosis. I had surgery August 8, 2015, and I remember my first cognitive awareness was that I was without pain! I was released from the hospital a few days later, but forewarned that the structural integrity of my spine had been compromised by virtue of a laminectomy. Fast-forward 5 years from my laminectomy to 9/22/20, I’ve noticed the return of pain in my back, only a little higher up from my original laminectomy. My new orthopedic specialist (a little closer to where I live) assured me that my new pain is not associated with stenosis and that I would possibly benefit from physical therapy. I was referred to Select Physical Therapy, although I was NOT optimistic, as PT did not eliminate my pain 5 years ago. Nevertheless, I followed through with the doctor’s recommendation and was introduced to Justine Boyce, of Select Physical Therapy. My first session with Justine was basically about recording data associated with my range of motion, i.e. neck, torso and legs. The second session started with a warm-up, followed by some stretching exercises, and ending with a massage of my back at the point of pain and my third session was much the same as my second, only adding some exercises for my neck and again, ending with a massage to my neck and back. Bottom line, I am surprised and excited to report that my pain (both in my back & neck) is gone! I don’t have any insight to the business model of Select Physical Therapy, but because of Justine Boyce, I am pain free and I have hope that I’ll be able to avert surgery, as well as the threat of associated complications, i.e. nerve damage. I am grateful to Justine Boyce for her care and I can only hope Select PT realizes her value!

Fantastic experience: I was always treated well at this location. I would highly recommend this Physical therapy group to family and friends. As a patient I was treated with a great deal of compassion and that is essential when trying to recover from an injury. Very positive experience!

Fantastic experience: This is not my first experience with PT—In fact, Kim has been my physical therapist for three knee surgeries. She knows me, my other physical limitations, and what and how to get my body to recover as quickly as possible. I think it is important to trust someone with your PT when you are post surgical and in pain. I need another knee surgery and will DEFINITELY insist on being Kim‘s patient again.

Select Physical Therapy of Tampa Palms stands heads and shoulders above the rest From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by friendly and helpful members of the staff. They get you through the initial paperwork and answer an questions you may have. You will be assigned a therapist and I was assigned Sonal and couldn't be happier From the extensive questions regarding my injuries and progress to that point, she explained the reasons why as well as what to expect going forward. As we have started the rehabilitation itself, I have experienced steady and progressive pain reduction and use of my knee. For anyone needing rehabilitative services, i strongly recommend Select particularly in Tampa Palms.

Fantastic experience: My first big surgery (knee replacement) then a dozen PT visits. I've never had PT before. Office manager and PT Kim has made the office/rehab a most friendly environment. The focus, however, is work. There are many former patients coming in for PT for new injuries. These "veterans" help provide encouragement which I really appreciate. The entire staff cares and wants only a great outcome for their people. I dare to think they are pulling for me as they would a family member.
