St. David's Rehabilitation Hospital

Fantastic experience: I was sent here after a severe spinal cord injury left me paralyzed from the armpits down. The doctors took excellent care of my medical needs and the physical/occupational therapists taught me how to live again in this new body. Above all they gave me real hope that I can ENJOY life still!

Fantastic experience: St. David’s get 5 stars across the board. I can’t say enough good about this rehab hospital. My husband was admitted with a broken neck, broken back and many other injuries. I was able to stay with him. The therapists and nurses allowed me to partner with them in his care ( I did so with great respect for their authority). The therapy was one on one and therefore unique to not only my husband’s needs, but also his lifestyle and dreams for the future. The nurses and techs always had a smile and pleasant tone. Our needs were met quickly and sweetly. The doctors were fantastic in both their knowledge and plan for my husband’s healing and in keeping a humble, approachable attitude with us and with the rest of the staff. Everyone worked together like a team and they had pride in being part of an exceptional rehab hospital. By the end of our time in St. David’s, both my husband and I were attached to several of the staff who felt more like friends and we were confident we could continue our life at home. We can’t thank St. David’s enough.

Fantastic experience: Quality of care at St. David's Rehabilitation Hospital is second to none! If you have to choose a hospital for rehabilitation, I highly reccomend St. David's. My mother received exceptional care after her fall, and I would say her overall health improved drastically during their care despite the broken bones. She said the nurses there were "like family" and treated her with love and patience. She got to choose her food each day from a large menu. If your loved-one is staying in rehab and you intend to visit often, I reccomend buying a monthly parking pass from the security office in Garage 1.

Positive experience: I was here for almost a month after my Brian surgery . This is a amazing place with kind and caring staff who are committed in their work and really knows how to treat patients with love and care . I would thank all the nurses especially nurses who took care of me during the night shift . Some even helped me with my melas and restroom needs though there are tech to do that .one nurse even prayed with me during my hardest most painful times . Doctors are really caring( Doc Lee, Doc Ansari ) and concerned too . They advised and guided me . Only people I am not happy are the technicians except Ms . Hanna who took care of me happily very well with commitment .She is so sweet and very knows how to handle her job . I would especially thank the male nurse from utopia who paid much concern to me and made me feel like home .some of the lady African American techs are not very much enthusiastic about their job or the patient as I felt . Food was great and was in top quality . Since I am a vegetarian few times they sent me non veg melas but it’s ok . OT And PT young ladies were amazing , they are kind considerate and knows very much about all .Kasey Alyssa are the most amazing people I met while at the re hab . They are smart and very professional and guided me to stand up on my own . Thanks and god bless you all .

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility. Great team. Well trained. Thorough. Everyone has a smile on the face, all the times. What a servitude. Great link between St David’s hospital and then getting back to normal life. We did use other rehab’s in Austin and Houston. But this one stands out..Far ahead. God bless.

Fantastic experience: I have been there three times now. The entire staff are so kind and caring. I am having knee replacement surgery soon and sincerely hope they will once again have room for me. There is no place that compares!

Fantastic experience: I had a three level spinal fusion at St. David's by Dr. Craig Kuhns. I stayed in the hospital part of St. David's for four days then went on to St. David's rehab and all I can say is, Thank God I did!!! The staff, everyone on staff from cafeteria to doctors were amazing. I know that word is thrown around all the time but I'm this instance, it's true. Never once did I encounter one person who was anything but kind and professional. The therapists are all so great and really do a fantastic job, I credit my recovery to God and St. David's. Greg, a physical therapist was outstanding. He really challenged me but in a gentle way that was never boring!! Allison, an occupational therapist just knew exactly what I needed help with. She showed me ways of doing things with my limited abilities. I hope I don't need spine surgery again...but if I do...St. David's is where I want to be!

Fantastic experience: I just started but already it’s giving me an incentive to get up and exercise. The staff is great and they are so careful in monitoring all your signs. I really enjoy coming here and feel it will help me get the rehab I need.
