Fantastic experience: I entered this facility like a turtle on a post and the work they did was like a miracle. In 22 days I was doing daily chores for myself and was able to get up with a walker and had a very positive outlook. Great facility and wonderful caring people.

Fantastic experience: This was my second time staying at OhioHealth Rehab Hospital, and it was still amazing! The therapy staff (primary for me were Ben for PT & Megan and Seth for OT, but all of them too) are incredibly skilled! They complemented each other in consistently working on the same objectives, but in alternate ways. Creative and fun even when things were hard for me. The nursing staff was very helpful, responsive, and wonderful! I enjoyed getting to know them since the hospital does a good job of keeping the same nurses and techs with you for several days in a row. They get to know their patients and make the hospital stay better by the way they care for you. Excellent experience!

Fantastic experience: All of the staff including therapy and nursing have all been wonderful during my stay. Everybody has been caring and empathetic and my care has been excellent from start to finish. I can't thank everyone here enough for everything they've done for me

Fantastic experience: You have set a great example for people requiring a rehab facility. I was resistant to send my mom (recovering from neurosurgery) to a rehab facility. I didn’t want mom to fear she was being sent to “nursing home”. This feels like a hospital. Staff provide round the clock care, nurses are right outside doors and are routinely compassionate when interacting with mom. The therapists treated my mom with dignity and even provided assistance with duties not necessarily within their scope. We have opportunities to discuss progress and recommendations from therapists, case workers and patient advocates. My experience here is one of the many reasons I am proud to work for OhioHealth.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility. I came to this hospital, with a shattered leg. The staff here taught me to walk again and gain my independence back. From hygiene, using a wheelchair and walker, completing laundry and kitchen tasks, to standing for long periods of time. They are getting patients up and moving outside of their rooms with exercise, group therapy, and fun activities. The nurses, assistants, and therapists are the sweetest and the most helpful people. Could not recommend this hospital more!

Fantastic experience: This is a really very good place to work. After working for a big hospital in Houston Texas Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital for many years. I was afraid that moving to Ohio was going to be a very huge challenging experience when it came to work. But I am happy to say that, I couldn’t be in a better place right now. The colleagues are so nice to each other ,the team work is tremendously good, and the bosses really takes time to listen to you and to work with you if you are struggling in any way.!! Fantastic experience: I had several choices for rehab. My wife searched the surrounding area and Ohio Health came up. This facility worked me hard daily. I can say that it eceeded my expectations on all levels. God bless them all!

Fantastic experience: Initially when I got to the rehab center I had a wound vac and a possible infection, within a few days we found out that I had an abscess and I needed additional surgery. Their staff was right on it and I made it to the hospital to get surgery that I needed. When I came back I was very very pleased with most of the staff and with the therapy staff. I learned everything I needed to come home with. I came home several days ago and I have been confident in taking care of myself at home.

Fantastic experience: We had the best experience while visiting my brother who needed rehab after a TBI . Every single staff member was superb and so helpful. Therapies offered are top knotch! I can't say enough great things about the care he received. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality rehabilitation with a caring knowledgeable medical team.

My OT was predominantly provided by Megan S, and she was absolutely phenomenal! The medical staff was wonderful, too, and I so appreciated their care. Very grateful for my time at OHRH!

Fantastic experience: I was here in March 2022 recovering from a 7 month hospital stay due to Covid. I received excellent care and cannot say enough about the therapists I worked with. I wish I knew all of their names so I could personally thank them. They made me feel so safe and helped me make great progress so I could finally return home. I highly recommend them. Dr. Hammer from MedOne found my undiagnosed sleep apnea and probably saved my life.

Fantastic experience: My mother came here after a car accident for therapy and received excellent care! What impressed me most was the staff’s attentiveness. They all - nurses, assistants, therapists and doctors - asked questions and discussed her care with us rather than waiting for us to ask. They explained their diagnosis and their planned course of action. If she had to push the call button for anything, they responded within minutes. The day before her discharge, they reviewed her progress and called my pharmacy with the medicines she would need. They contacted an outpatient therapy facility for follow up care. We couldn’t be more pleased with OhioHealth Rehab Hospital!

Fantastic experience: Very Practical Care! The therepists, Especially Peg and Catherine, were very focused on getting me better. Thoughtful approach to retraining my left side. Fantastic experience: Loved OHRH. The staff and therapists were extremely friendly and encouraging. I made excellent progress in rehab. My PT Colleen really helped me realize all my goals for being able to walk after my back surgery. OT worked with me to help me find was to be safe and do tasks around the house. Food is pretty good too. I definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: After multiple surgeries near my Spinal Cord, I was transferred to Ohio Health Rehab. I am writing to say that my Occupational and Physical Therapists were the absolute best! They were extremely compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable. From the Nurses to the Rehab Aides, the level of care was excellent! I still have a ways to go after coming home, but I am extremely grateful for the care I received at Ohio Health Rehab and would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Every aid and every therapist and every nurse that I've encountered since I've been here for the last couple weeks have been excellent and enjoy to be around. They also know and have been pushing me to my limit which has caused me to make leaps and bounds and to get better each day noticeably better each day and I would not trade this place for any other place out there now that I've been here. I would recommend this place to anybody who asks me.

Fantastic experience: I am overdue writing this testament of this hospital. The staff, the program helped me to get back on my feet. I can now walk and do things on my own. Starting with Dr. Rensler to all the nurses, assistants and therapists put me on the path to recovery. I will be forever grateful. This hospital is one of the best in Columbus, Ohio.

Fantastic experience: While the facility is spacious, the staff is very caring, supportive, and well versed in the needs of their patients, one of the things I found most impactful and meaningful for my interactions with the patient liaison, Bill, who is one of the most important patient-facing roles in the organization. My wife was involved in a bad accident and required several things that are not typically seen in a rehab hospital due to her condition. Covid made things especially difficult due to restrictions and visitation across the most healthcare settings. Bill was supremely personable helpful and on multiple times went to the extra mile, even responding to a very bad mix-up in paperwork from a transferring hospital that happened early on a Sunday morning, and without his help my wife may have been out on the street while still needing medical care. Throughout the entire experience at multiple hospitals, Bill was by far the most helpful, most informative, most pleasant, and most knowledgeable individual I had the pleasure of working with. I would highly recommend this hospital based on the patient liaison alone, except that the rest of the staff and the facility were also exceptional to work with and made the experience the best possible.

Fantastic experience: I clicked on 5 star and it is showing 3.7 After having surgery and a stay in the hospital, the last thing I wanted to do was go to a rehab hospital...I wanted to go home! However, after my concession and being admitted, it was the best thing that could have happened for my recovery. The administrators went above and beyond helping me with a special need. The physical therapists were amazing and pushed me to a quicker and better recovery, and the nursing staff showed so much care is was remarkable. The facility was very clean and comfortable and surprisingly the food was good! My overall experience was better than I ever could have expected and I highly recommend this establishment if you are in need of re-hab after surgery or accident. Five Star Plus!!! Thank you to all who assisted in my care!

Fantastic experience: If I could give them a 10 I would. Excellent treatment for my 86 yo mom. Nursing staff, RA's Therapists, Doctors, Cleaning and Security Staff....EXCELLENT. Meds given on time, calls answered in a timely and courteous manner. Therapist pushed mom and encouraged her when she said she couldn't. Guess what, she could and she's on the mend. Only complaint would be food temp and room water temp, both were temped. But, if that's all we can complain about, it is a GREAT facility. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Select Specialty Hospital and OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital are located in a building that used to be Doctor's North Hospital. Doctor's Hospital North closed after many years in that community; eventually, Select Specialty Hospital moved into that building. Later, OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital moved into a portion of the Select Specialty Hospital building. On April 29, 2017, I had been at a "cheering section," one block east of Select Specialty Hospital, for the OhioHealth Capital City [Cap City] Half Marathon. That event was unexpectedly canceled because of torrential rain and flooding. A nice guard at the entrance to Select Specialty Hospital let me use their wi-fi [because I had not owned a smartphone at that time] to request an Uber ride home. Recently [on 12-13-2019], I visited a friend who is currently at OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital following a brief stay at Riverside Hospital. It had been extremely difficult to find my friend's room because the numbering system in that hallway had not appeared to be a system at all. However, the rehabilitation nurse who had visited my friend while I had been there had been extremely friendly and helpful and had seemed to be genuinely concerned for my friend's recovery.

Fantastic experience: After being hit by an SUV while crossing a street I ended up at Ohio Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Beginning on day 1, I felt very secure and positive, and treated with great dignity. The staff was the most attentive, caring and helpful group I have ever encountered. The fears, pain, and confusion were all addressed and alleviated by the staffs care, smiles, and great skills. Everyone from the doctors to food service staff were outstanding. They all worked as one, and went beyond all expectations.

Fantastic experience: I spent the last week of a four week rehab at OhioHealth. It went well. The staff was caring and attentive. I wish I could remember nurses' names to thank them. The PT staff was exceptional too. Receptive to my needs but still focused on their mission. Thank you Peggy, Kaitlyn, Ally and several others whose names I can't recall at present.
