The physical medicine and rehabilitation program at UT Southwestern Monty and Tex Moncrief Medical Center at Fort Worth helps patients achieve the highest possible level of physical, functional, and cognitive independence after an injury or illness.

We also provide nonsurgical treatment options for patients suffering from joint, back, and neck pain, including conditions such as arthritis, acute musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative disc disease, and herniated discs.   

Our goal is to work with patients to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility to alleviate pain and improve quality of life without resorting to surgery or long-term medication.

Our board-certified physicians and a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language pathologists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.

Successful rehabilitation requires a dedicated commitment to your program of recovery. We offer appointments starting as early as 7 a.m. to help you maintain your daily schedule and maximize your rehabilitation experience.

Blair Manning, M.D., is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the International Spine Intervention Society, and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine. She has received several academic honors.

On the day of your appointment, please allow time for registration. Moncrief Medical Center has welcome kiosks and staff located at the main entrance to help you check in.

Please bring your current insurance card, a method of payment (we accept checks or debit/credit cards only), all of your most recent relevant imaging (both images and associated radiology reports), and a complete list of your current medications and dosages (including over-the-counter medications, herbs, and vitamins). Images should be brought on a disc in order to be uploaded into our imaging records. 

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the clinic at least 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.

It is very important that you do not run out of your medication. Be sure that you have sufficient refills to last until your next appointment with your physiatrist. We are happy to provide you with a written prescription upon request.

If you run out of refills, please call your pharmacy and your pharmacist will fax a refill request to us. Please allow us 24 to 48 hours to process refill requests.
