Fantastic experience: Everything about Alante Physical Therapy & Wellness is top-notch. From the front desk, to the physical therapy sessions, to the professionalism and caring you feel when you walk through the doors. I had the pleasure of working with Jana through my need for lymphatic drainage massage, and she is truly wonderful. She's so sweet, gentle and caring and I always felt like she had my best interest at heart. Not to mention, her adorable dog, Cal, who is always fun to see and love on! Fantastic experience: I didn’t know what I didn’t know. All along, all these years, what I was experiencing…vise grip around my rib cage, cramping, clinching, on the side of my surgery (2016 breast cancer referred to as “it”)…all along and I didn’t know. Thinking…oh, because of surgery I shall now feel this way. Due to a weekend of over exertion I experienced a flare-up. Neck, collarbone area, upper arm and shoulder on my right side puffed up. Of course my mind immediately goes to, “It” is back and off to my Oncologist I go. Good news, “It” is not back but now I am aware of my new friend, Lymphedema. Luckily, thankfully, blessedly, my doctor knew of Kate Obermiller at Alante. Appointments promptly made. My knowledge of Lymphedema is limited, only knew what I saw my Mom struggle with in both her legs years ago. I wanted to nip this in the bud…get a handle on it. We did! Kate not only addressed the body parts, but also educated me about the lymphatic system and what I can do daily to enhance my well being …sleep angle, stretches, exercises, self massage, compression garments. Going in, I didn’t realize how locked up I was, what was really going on with my right side. Kate put the pieces together for me, reduced my aches and pains, improved my flexibility and awareness. I like Kate and her crew. From day one I felt comfortable in the environment they have created. (Note, October was a good month to get started as their seasonal decorations are sure something to see.) Clean, professional but laid back and friendly…not stuffy and medicinal. Each visit I looked so forward to having my areas of uncomfortableness and pain addressed. My physical pains abated, my fears calmed, my appointments came to a conclusion. Fantastic experience: I recently completed physical therapy for lymphedema with Kate at Alante. What a wonderful experience! Not only did she get my swelling under control but I learned about the lymphatic system and helpful tips to keep my arm in healthy condition. She and her staff are so caring and empathetic it is like you have come home to a welcoming family. I highly recommend this excellent clinic!

Fantastic experience: I would like to encourage anyone looking for successful lymphedema treatment to go see Kate at Alante Physical Therapy & Wellness! I have suffered from lymphedema swelling in my right lower leg for many years not knowing where to go to receive good treatment. I was very lucky to find Kate at Alante. I have been receiving treatment from Kate for a month now and am extremely impressed with the improvement of mobility that the treatments have given me. Kate also treated a bad wound I had from rubbing in a shoe. If you are looking for lymphedema relief go see Kate at Alante she is the only one I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: The care Mollie Fick has given me has changed my life. Never did I think I’d have the range of motion I now have with little to no pain. The dry needling technique Physical Therapist Fick has used on me is different than any I’ve received elsewhere, but has given me the best results long term. The combination of dry needling and strengthening exercises, using the McKenzie Method, has made a huge impact on my day to day living, from removing a pillow from its case, to reaching the laundry detergent on the top shelf, to turning my head whilst driving to check if it’s clear to make a lane change. Also, doing big projects like carrying 60 large bags of mulch into our landscaping with very little neck soreness the following day wouldn’t have been possible with out the exceptional, above quality standard care PT Fick has given me. The atmosphere at Alante is cheerful, the facilities calming and tidy, and Bonnie at the front desk is always a delight, super accommodating and eager to help. Extra bonus, they take my Tricare insurance. I can’t say enough about Mollie and the Alante team. If you’re needing PT don’t hesitate to trust Alante. They will make a positive difference in your life.

Fantastic experience: I have been in physical therapy for 1 yr and 9 months. My therapist Mollie has been nothing but amazing working with me adjusting to any issues I had during my sessions! Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Alante Physical Therapy for lymphedema and lipedema therapy since November 2022. Kate (the owner) and her staff have been extremely helpful, patient and empathetic during my treatment. I have experienced vast improvement in my legs with the wrap therapy which decreased the size and weight making mobility much easier. They offer supplies and equipment to try that you can purchase in office but never felt pressured. They’re very knowledgeable and walked me through all the information so we could choose a therapy plan that works best me. I absolutely recommend them to anyone seeking lymphedema or lipedema treatment.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Alante Physical Therapy for lymphedema treatment for over a year now and the owner Kate and her staff go above and beyond to help make sure I get the best treatment. They do everything to make me comfortable and ensure I have the best supplies. They offer samples and equipment to try that may help me and also assisted me in acquiring a flexi-touch leg pump to continue therapy at home. Fantastic experience: I have had swelling in my foot/leg for years and figured it was just one of those things I had to live with. However, after seeing a new PCP I was finally diagnosed with lymphedema and referred to Alante. Kate Obermiller is a lifesaver and is extremely knowledgeable and gifted! Everyone in the office is super friendly and efficient. I highly recommend going to Alante and seeing Kate if you or someone you know suffers from lymphedema. I came to Alante based on a recommendation from a friend, and have continued my care with them despite the fact that they are "out-of-network" with my insurance. In addition to being a first-rate lymphedema therapist, Kate Obermiller has been a wonderful resource for referrals to medical supply companies for the supplies I've needed which Alante does not carry, while Alante maintains very fair pricing on the supplies they do carry. Fantastic experience: This place is awesome! Mollie is an amazing physical therapist and really knows how to help people with their aches and pains. You get one on one therapy where the focus is completely on you for the entire time. Also, Kate is the best person in San Antonio to help you with your Lymphedema. Fantastic experience: After 8 months of going to a wound care center, my husband's leg wound tripled in size. He complained of constant pain in the wound that required pain medication and limited his activity. When the wound drainage required dressings everyday, I finally called a nurse colleague who highly recommended Kate Obermiller. After seeing Kate for one month, my husband's wound is healing and he has no pain! Kate specializes in lymphedema-related wound care. As a registered nurse , I can attest to her individualized care, assessment and treatment skills, and her passion for educating her clients. She has taught me about the underlying tissue fluid patterns (even when there is no obvious swelling), and the massage techniques and wrapping that facilitate wound healing. The office staff are efficient and patient. It is a real pleasure when we arrive at an appointment to be warmly received, to be expertly care for, and to see positive results! Thank you Kate!

Fantastic experience: Mollie Fick & Kate Obermiller are the most amazing people, their dedication to their patients is just amazing. They do their very best to accommodate every need of their patients. The are the best in their business. Mollie Fick is a certified McKenzie expert, 1of 4 here in San Antonio. When you come to see her by the end of your visit you instantly feel relief. She tackles every issue you may have. She explains and teaches you what exercises will target your pains. She is absolutely amazing. Kate Obermiller has magic hands!!! If you have any kind of Lymphedema or Lipedema she is the expert to come see. She is the most caring person and goes out of her way for her patients. She educates you and gives you all the information you need to help with your swelling, such as eating patterns, exercises and how to help you achieve your goals on treating it. If you are in pain or having swelling and simply can’t find relief, give them a call!!!! These two ladies are the best in their profession and you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I came to Mollie for shoulder/neck pain from years of bad posture. She did the dry needling technique and I felt almost instant relief in my muscles that has continued to feel less tense than before. I could not recommend this clinic and its therapists enough.

Fantastic experience: Kate is a miracle worker! She has been treating my husbands lympadema and leg wound for the past two months and she has the wound almost healed over. He has had this wound over seven years being treated by another wound care agency. Her facility is clean, well organized and all staff is friendly and knowlegable.

Fantastic experience: It seems to me that many clinics specialize in a single technique. You go in with pain, that technique is applied, and if it's not working, you just have to keep coming back for more of the same. At Alante, they looked at ME and MY pain specifically, pulling from multiple treatment options to find the best resolution. I experienced almost complete relief in one visit. Before you go spend more time and money on another gadget, cream, or pain reliever, stop into Alante and get to the root of the issue. Anything else is a waste of time and money.

Fantastic experience: I have had back problems for over 5 years. I have been to a physical therapist, a chiropractor, Airrosti, two pain management doctors, have had an MRI, CT scan, X-rays, etc. and nothing has relieved my pain. I was referred to Mollie at Alante, and for the first time in 5 years, I now have relief from my back pain. She is a miracle worker. I can sleep through the night; I wake up pain free. She has shown me several exercises that relieve my pain during the day. I am definitely getting better, and for the first time in years, I feel hope that I will be 100% pain free during the day. I cannot recommend Alante enough; they are fantastic.

Fantastic experience: This is the BEST place to go for Lymphedema Treatment and physical therapy. I have gone to many different therapists over the years and none have taught me so much in a short period of time. It is extremely apparent that Kate Obermiller is an expert in her field and also cares deeply about her patients. I have experienced nothing but individualized assessment of my condition, followed by customized treatment plan and flexibility when life intervenes. I have never had such rapid results nor have I been able to vacation with minimal impact to my progress.
