Fantastic experience: I have nothing but high praise for the staff at Back In Motion Performance & Physical Therapy- Cape Coral. Dr. Sharon first saw me at a same-day appointment to treat an acute episode of vertigo. She evaluated me and gave me treatments to address this very disorienting and uncomfortable condition. She has also been treating me for neck and back pain secondary to my scoliosis. Dr. Sharon has used a multi-faceted approach including exercises, dry needling, electrical nerve stimulation, massage, and patient education, resulting in significant relief of symptoms. She brings knowledgeable professionalism and positive encouragement to each session. I am grateful for her help.

Fantastic experience: Can not praise this experience enough. The one on one therapy with consistent care and guidance has my aching back singing a new tune ! Dr.Joseph Moleno has brought such relief with his skill and knowledge of the back/neck and all the related muscles and his suggestions for my home routines have given me hope for the first time in a very long battle with my neck and back pain and discomfort. Do yourself a favor and go for an evaluation. You will thank me. PS: Just wanted to add that after a few weeks of twice a week sessions with Dr.Joe I am happy to say my back pain issues have been reduced so much that I can go on with my normal daily routines including cleaning myhouse from top to bottom and not end up in pain and discomfort. Dr. Anthony is an exceptional therapist who truly prioritizes his clients' well-being. Unlike other facilities I've been referred to where the physical therapists spend limited time with you before handing you off to an “exercise specialist,” Dr. Anthony provides personalized, one-on-one attention throughout each session. His extensive knowledge and experience in the field are evident, as he tailored my treatment plan to address my specific needs. I injured my shoulder and needed to improve my motion and strength because I need to use a cane to get around because of an accident. Thanks to his guidance, I've had significant improvements in my mobility, strength, and range of motion.

Fantastic experience: Dr Anthony helped me resume movement in my knee after my knee replacement surgery. For which I was very grateful! While Dr Hannah has helped me with my back pain and pelvic issues. Most importantly I was never passed off to another individual. They concentrated totally on me. Quite an improvement over many physical therapy places I’ve used in the past.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Sharon for a few months for Planters fasciitis. She treated me with manual manipulation, tens, and stretching. I can now walk without pain! I have struggled with back pain for years and have a pinched nerve in my back which has caused numbness in my groin. After a month of lots of manual manipulation by Dr Sharon, I am slowly regaining feeling! Dr Sharon is one of the best therapists I have ever been to.

Fantastic experience: Luckily I googled shoulder pain, Back in Motion looked like they could help, I couldn't lift arm shoulder height, not sleeping. They started routines that got me headed the right way, then tried Dry Needleing, that's when I realized the improvements I was making, re-motivated again, along with exercises, I now feel better and stronger than months ago, thankyou Dr. Sharon and staff.

Fantastic experience: My doctor recommended physical therapy for a pinched nerve in my elbow. I chose a location based on a friend's recommendation. This was my first experience with physical therapy, and as it goes, you don't know what you don't know. On my second visit to this facility, I was one of 3 patients the therapist was working with. Again, I thought this was the way it worked. During every visit, I never had my pt for the full hour and felt they weren't listening to me. There was a point when they had me riding a stationary bike to kill time. My pain was getting worse, and I was getting frustrated with the lack of progress. I decided enough was enough. I found Back In Motion through a Google search, read many reviews, and decided to try it. I was initially skeptical, but Dr. Anthony listened to my story and implemented an exercise program that gave me relief almost immediately. The one-on-one therapy sessions proved to be life-changing. My pain lessened with each session, and before I knew it, I was relatively pain-free. Dr. Scott Gray and his staff deserve a 10-star review. Thank you for eliminating my pain and discomfort and restoring my life.

Fantastic experience: This review is from Morgan James. I was having trouble with neck mobility. My wife had similar issues and was seeing Dr. Sims and made an appointment for me to be seen. After two weeks my neck is back to normal and I have exercises to stay that way. Dr. Sims was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what treatment I needed to fix my problem. Fantastic experience: I am 9 sessions in with Dr Hannah Graham. Who is the Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapist at the Cape Coral location. I am about halfway through my therapy plan. I feel so amazing that I felt it necessary to post a review. I wish I had come across a review because I would have come to her sooner! ! Dr Hannah has a wonderful bedside manner, she is also very informative. I went for a consultation after meeting her at a workshop at my yoga studio - where she gave a very impressive and informative presentation. I scheduled a consultation to be proactive about a frequent urination issue and wanted to get ahead of it entering into menopause. After the consultation we scheduled an evaluation. I have learned the root cause of my issue, I learned there is a direct correlation between pelvic floor and constipation. I know now that it is not normal to have tight hips or pain. I learned valuable breathing techniques - I actually discovered I did not know how to breathe correctly. I feel so much calmer and relaxed knowing how to take full deep breaths. I think all women should invest in Pelvic Floor Health for themselves. - this is so much more than kegels. I believe it to be a very valuable resource for women before and after childbirth. I wish I was aware of this therapy while my grandma was alive so she didn’t have to suffer the stress and embarrassment of incontinence. Thank you Dr. Hannah Graham

I began pelvic floor therapy postpartum and have seen significant improvement in 1 of my 3 main goals with just a few sessions. I was a bit hesitant to find a provider for such a personal issue but once I spoke to her I felt instantly comfortable. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking pelvic floor therapy services.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hannah Graham has been a life changer. Her knowledge is unmatched. I didn’t know what a pelvic floor therapist was until after my 3rd pregnancy. I thought it was just for those who had vaginal deliveries. I realized the importance once I started having issues progressively getting worse after each c section. Dr Graham helped me realize there are still a lot of problems associated with pelvic floor even with c sections. From restriction in the scar tissue, to adhesions, and much more. Even after the first treatment I noticed a difference. She has truly changed my life, my scar, and so much more. She also focuses on how your mind can affect your physical health and has helped me be more aware of the mind-body connection. I had been trying to see a pelvic therapist for a While but kept letting life get in the way. I am so glad I finally did and met Dr Graham. I wish I would have done this years ago. Negative experience: This place will never survive with the owner such as Heather. She is THE RUDEST person I have had the misfortune to talk to in ages. I was given absolutely no indication that they do not take our insurance (Blue Cross) and when I arrived I was apologized to as “the person” who does the insurance was not there (likely due to the hurricane) Then today I am verbally accosted by Heather as she was making it sound like I blew off attempts to discuss insurance concerns such as I was having my hair done and couldn’t talk or I was driving and couldn’t talk. She basically put the entire thing on me when it was their responsibility to make sure I understood the insurance conditions before any hands were out on me which did not happen. I have never been approached or accused of something like skating out of a payment in my life but insurance was not discussed with me. It was myself who brought up the matter during my first session and the therapist was surprised that I didn’t know my insurance was not accepted. This Heather (who claims to be the owner) had no decency at all… all she did is threaten me to collections. I am astounded by her rudeness and lack of decency. Never will I ever set foot in this place again. I hope she loses business from this as I am being as honest as the day is long. This is no way to do good business. Yes….I was driving and couldn’t take the call and I was busy as I have breast cancer and have appts stacked as high as the ceiling getting ready for surgery soon and this Heather hasn’t got one good bone in her body.

From the moment I walked into the facility, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. Anthony has taken the time to listen to my concerns and has developed an individual plan of care that has been addressing my unique issues. Throughout the entire process Anthony, and the staff's communication has been wonderful, and they have all been available to answer any questions I have and to change any direction in my care as needs presented themselves. Because I was new to the area I picked Back in Motion well because I had serious & challenging issues with my back. I had no experience with outpatient PT services. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Back in Motion. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a year and a half. I received 3 cortisone shots in my foot within a year. I was referred to Dr Megan Burlage by my dr. Dr Megan is so positive and personable. I enjoyed every visit. My foot is 100% better since working with Dr Megan. I would recommend a friend to see her.

Fantastic experience: I recommend Back in Motion for physical therapy. Dr. Megan in the Cape Coral facility for an ankle injury. I am now back to normal after her outstanding care to guide me to healing. One thing I recently realized is that since all the therapists are Doctors of Physical Therapy which is beneficial for a number of reasons: well educated in how to help you heal not just your specific injury but your whole body and if you have an injury or pain that you want to be treated the doctors can evaluate you and apply to you insurance for coverage. The last seems like a real benefit to me - not having to go to an MD first. ( I have complete confidence if you need to see an MD they would refer you.) Five Stars ⭐️ from me!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Back in Motion by my orthopedic doctor. I worked with Dr. Megan Burlage. Megan was great. She was very good in making sure how I was to do the exercises. We went through each movement during my session with her. She was friendly yet a total professional. I really enjoyed working with Megan. I was referred with a very painful case of bursitis in my right hip and a problematic hamstring in the back of my left knee. I came in walking with limp for sure. I had ten sessions with Megan and I am happy to say that both the bursitis and the hamstring and working so well, I don't even remember when the pain stopped. I could not sleep at nights on my right side, but after a few treatments and other techniques she used on these areas of pain, I could see immediate results. I will not hesitate to contact Megan again for any other ailments I might discover. Thank you so much for a really wonderful experience. I am truly grateful.

Fantastic experience: Anthony Simone is an excellent trainer. He bonds with the patient, he explains all exercises and he is very personable. It is also very serious about his profession and takes weekend courses to update himself. Since I have been exercising with him my ability to walk has increased at least 20 fold. Fantastic experience: I have been a very happy patient over several years at the Back in Motion offices in Ft. Myers office and Cape Coral ---and write this review about my most recent experience with Anthony Simone, PT, DPT, CSCS, TPI, at Cape Coral who I started seeing November 2022 continuing through April 2023 when I returned north. The prior year I was a patient at Back in Motion for golf elbow pain and had great results. By way of background, a herniated disc was diagnosed in early summer 2022, and two physicians advised me up north that 80% of herniated discs improve with PT. I had two MRIs. The PT up north was not successful and I made arrangements to see Dr. Simone in November 2022 when I returned to our condo in Ft. Myers. First, Dr. Simone is a good listener, kind, professional and knows what he is doing! I had been in PT up north for five months with no improvement. Dr Simone suggested I see a neurologist. I ultimately saw a neurosurgeon who viewed two MRIs and said the herniated disc would not heal on its own. The neurosurgeon and performed a hemia laminectomy for partial diskectomy (L4/5) early February -- and I resumed PT within 4 weeks post surgery with Dr. Simone. Second, I literally love coming to PT, as Anna, the receptionist, is always happy to greet me and Dr. Simone gives me his complete focus when I am in treatment and he is also responsive to emails and phone calls. I am feeling so much better than when I started PT in November and other than giving credit to the neurosurgeon, I credit Dr. Simone with his steadfast treatments, and adjustments, as needed, of exercise and strengthening which enabled me to improve. Third, Dr. Simone is great at explaining why he is making certain adjustments which were necessary to give me the particular care and attention required post surgery. Treatment with Dr. Simone is the best treatment I have ever received from a PT, and I highly recommend him. I did not mind at all traveling from Ft. Myers to Cape Coral for his treatment. MH 4-14-23

Fantastic experience: My wife had an irritated nerve and strained muscles, she found her way to the practice and was given extremely warm and competent advice. Dr. Megane Burlage showed her great exercises for stretching and muscle building. Dr. Megane was very sensitive in her approach and sought the best solutions for the problem. Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Jim Smith in the Cape Coral office for a little more than half of my PT and then Dr. Christine Plaza for a few visits with my last visit with Dr. Devyn Kansas. When I first came I was in desperate need to direction and guidance. Had seen a few podiatrist and orthopedics for my Achilles paratenonitis. I was misdiagnosed in the beginning and then just given stretches to do. After MRI and some positive treatments was discharged without further guidance which is why I was seeking PT help. I liked your website’s philosophy. First visit with Dr. Jim changed my life. I felt like I was where I needed to be. My time in PT with him was amazing. He really got me on my road to recovery. He gave me so much information and went above and beyond trying to make sure I had what I needed. There were not printouts in the system he was using as I was more advanced in my exercises. He hand wrote everything for me. Sadly his contract was up and I had to finish my PT with Dr. Christine. I went into it without much expectations as I felt I already had the tools I needed. However, I have to say she took a slightly different approach and did more manipulations of my ankle and switched up some strength exercises and I think having seen both of them I have a greater understanding of where I need to go. Lastly I saw Dr. Devyn for my exit exam as Dr. Christine was out sick. Devyn was great and also offered a couple other things for me to do daily to improve my ankle mobility. Overall I would say it had a fantastic experience. I am still not 100% recovered but am working hard at home with my strengthening, loading and restarting my running goals. I may reach out to a running coach as I continue to heal for further guidance as I am hoping to be back to marathon training in October. On a final note I want to say that Courtney Ryan has been absolutely amazing from the first time I messaged with her up until our final conversation. She is so caring and informative. Fantastic experience: Outstanding Therapy...Outstanding results working with Dr. Cristine Plaza. A sports injury to my left side, left me severely unable to move pain free from the neck down to my spine. Dr. Cristine's therapy treatments and subsequent exercise regimen has returned me to full and pain free motion. For years I had nagging neck and back pain and was on a daily course of anti-inflammatory drugs. Pleased to report I no longer need them. Fantastic experience: Recently injured my back after doing "too much, too soon," and went and saw Dr. Anthony Simone for the first time. I could of sworn I did something really serious to my thoracic back, however he assured me it was just related to the tissues and it would heal. Within 5 appointments, I not only was pain free, but I was stronger than I was before the injury!

Fantastic experience: I give Dr. Devyn Kangas 5 stars, with 5 Stars being the best possible. Dr Kangas is an expert level practitioner. She has exceptional skills of observation that detect what muscles or joints are not working properly and treats accordingly. It took me a while to find Back In Motion. Over one year earlier I was in a popular and highly rated Physical Therapy business and their treatments were ineffectual. Treatment time was for the most part restricted to 30 minutes or less. And, while I thought my PTD there was good, but my faith was misguided. He was treating symptoms and never addressed the cure. I was there over a year and finally quit them as I was not progressing. Even though the referral specified to work to restore my posture, they never did that. Dr. Kangas set goals and immediately began working to treat my pain but also to work from the bottom up to restore and strengthen my posture. My pain levels are way down, my flexibility and stamina and core strength way up. Dr. Gray’s methodology works. It took longer for me to change my insurance than it did to begin seeing results. I can’t thank Dr. Kangas and Back in Motion enough for the expert care I received.

Fantastic experience: Courtney n Dr Kunger are the best! First Coutney - never had a scheduler as thoughtful n caring. (Has a smile for everyone) She is quick n seems to understand how to truly help everyone! Now for Dr Kunger - (also has a smile for everyone). Referred by another doctor to help n figure out my many problems I was having off and on for years! She is so knowledgeable and motivated me in how to care of myself. My health is so improved that I can't thank her enough.

Fantastic experience: I am totally blown away by Back in Motion! This is hand's on, full hour of PT, stretching, strengthening with a doctor. Dr. Christine Plaza took such wonderful care of me. She is an excellent listener and was able to get to the root of my back pain issue. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and funny. Since I've 'graduated' from PT, I'm happy to report that I am feeling great and will continue to practice what I learned from Dr. Christine. Courtney Ryan is also extremely helpful and it's always nice to walk in and see her smiling face.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Andrew was wonderful. Might even call him a Miracle Man. After an encounter with a mini-whirlwind that picked me up and dropped me on the driveway I found myself unable to walk the dog, put on my shoes or perform a lot of the menial tasks of life. I had XRays taken shortly after the fall to determine if I had broken anything (fortunately no) and was told to rest and let my body recover. After all, I am 84 years old and old bodies take longer to heal. So I took Ibuprofen and sat in my recliner on a hot pad and ice alternatively with no activity for 3 weeks. Without any signs of improvement I decided it was time to do something else. Thanks to the Internet I found "Back in Motion" and after reading about the success they have had I made an appointment with Dr. Andrew. With exercise 3 times a day, the improvements in my mobility started after the first week. In 3 weeks I was able to walk the dog and perform all the attending tasks! Now for the Miracles. Miracle One: By the end of week 4 I graduated and I am ever so grateful for the chance to be living my life without the constant pain and need for medications. Miracle Two: I have suffered with BPPV (Positional Vertigo) for 20+ years and the only solution ever offered to me was to take Meclizine. It was so bad that I spent a day in the hospital during my treatment with Dr. Andrew where I was tested for every possible reason and sent home on antibiotics and meclizine to treat it. Here it comes - - - Dr. Andrew said he could fix it and I said PLEASE do. So he performed his magic and I have not had another episode of dizziness since then. I can roll over, sit up, stare at the ceiling and bend down with no problem at all. If anyone asks me, I tell them that I believe that the fall and subsequent treatments were all part of the bigger plan to help me find relief from a long term problem that has plagued me for so many years that I was sure it was going to be with me forever. I can only say that this has been a fantastic journey into health and thanks to Dr. A and all of the help I received I recommend "Back in Motion" to anyone who is suffering from mobility problems and of course Vertigo.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Andrew Kupper is truly a miracle worker I’m pretty old and really broken. After my recent Bunion Surgery he has only worked with me for a few weeks but my improvements in my range of motion and the strength in my large toe joint is amazing. He has shared his expertise to address my hips alignment and walking gait to clean up the issues in my feet. The main reason for the Bunion Surgery was to address an open ulcer wound I had in my foot for over 2 years. It has finally healed and even though I’m still on the mend the improvement in my condition is amazing. I would highly recommend Dr. Kupper and Back in Motion if you are needing any type of rehabilitation from an operation and or injury. I plan to be a long term patient of Dr. Kuppers as he is helping me in other areas to correct long term deficiencies I have and I can't wait until I finally hit my next PR in the gym after working with Dr. Kupper. You could say he is my new bestie kind of my… Ride or Die Therapist!!

Fantastic experience: To put it simply, Dr. Andrew Kupper is a miracle worker. I have suffered from a serious accident for more than 15 years and have endured the mill of the traditional PT associations run by different conglomerates. The one on one service provided by Back in Motion coupled with the analysis of my injuries and Dr. Kupper tailoring my PT to fit my needs had me literally “back in motion” within the first week. Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience at Back in Motion! Treatment was 1 on1 by a Sports Medicine Clinical Specialist. In the past my physical therapy was by 3 workers on 14 patients at a time and this is TOTALLY BETTER. I've had a chronic problem since I was a child and for the first time, I feel like I am overcoming the pain! Thank you Dr. Andrew.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Devyn Kangas is the most informed, gentle, most confident therapist I know. I trust her with my life. As a woman -( and a woman of color may I add) Pelvic health is sometimes a very unknown, untaught, and very touchy subject. I feel these days it’s hard to find a health care provider that I trust. Dr. Kangas is there to not only break down those barriers in pelvic health - she really has a knack for understanding the human body and what it needs. Her gift is pelvic health and she knows it and uses it superbly. She presents cues to you to make sure you are comfortable every step of the way- educates thoroughly so you may understand (even when you think you don’t). No question is stupid, small, or large for her as she truly listened to every worry and concern I had. Not to mention I have made great strides in my pelvic health since my visit. Fantastic experience: I had some issues with my neck and shoulders. I had popping and pain and no idea what could be the cause. Turns out my joints are loose and needed to be stabilized. Dr. Andrew started work with me and completely resolved my pain and stability issues. On top of being knowledgeable Dr. Andrew is a very personable guy and it was a pleasure working with him. I Hope I never have to come back but I know if I do I’ll be in the best hands around.

Fantastic experience: My gynecologist recommended Back in Motion for Physical Therapy on my pelvis. I wanted the first appointment available, and that led me to the Cape Coral Office, even though I live in Ft. Myers. What a stroke of luck! Going to see Dr. Devyn Kangas, two to three times a weeks for this past month has improved my condition tremendously. Dr. Devyn is always on-time, a great listener, empathetic, professional, very caring, and fun!!! I would not hesitate to give this office my highest recommendation.

Fantastic experience: I am a Cape Coral snowbird and was having pain in my foot. I had a posterior tibi al tendinitis that was bothering me from staying active and cooking, which is what I love to do. I took painkillers and injection but wanted to get to the root cause as to why my tendon was injured. After about 6 visits my feet are now pain-free and I am having no problems at all. If you’re in need of physical therapy in Cape Coral or Fort Myers I would highly recommend Back In Motion.
