Central Texas Sports Medicine is closely monitoring the latest developments with respect to coronavirus. We are following the recommendations that are provided by the CDC and are in constant communication with our local health departments and hospitals. In response to recommendations from CMS and the government, we have implemented telemedicine visits in order to still provide care to those that are having orthopaedic issues while lessening their public interactions. We are also providing same day appointments for patients that have a traumatic injury during this time. We are able to safely work you in, create a treatment plan, and limit your potential exposure by keeping you out of the emergency room.
If you have experienced an acute injury of any type and feel you need to be seen in the office, call our main number so that we can schedule you with one of our providers. Please note that anyone experiencing respiratory symptoms, fever, or having exposure to a person with coronavirus will need to be cleared by their primary care physician before being seen.
Quick Reference Guidelines Prescription Refill Guidelines - If you are needing prescription refills we ask you contact the pharmacy first to request your prescription refills. If you are directed by the pharmacy to contact our office we ask you do so prior to 3 p.m. on any given day to allow us the time to process this request. Any request after 3 p.m. will be processed on the next business day. Appointment Cancellations - Please give our office 24 hours advance notice if you are unable to come in for your scheduled office visit. Failure to give proper notice or missing your appointment will deem the appointment to be documented as a no show.
Central Texas Sports Medicine & Orthopedics: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Had shoulder surgery and got the pleasure of doing my physical therapy here at Central Texas Sports. Dan, Sean, and Patrick are very knowledgeable and I’ve worked with them all at one point during my therapy. Mrs Wanda at the front desk is pleasant to talk with as well. I recommend anyone needing physical therapy to use them.
Positive experience: Dr. Line and Dr. Luedke are both excellent, professional and efficient doctors. Dr Line diagnosed my frozen shoulder immediately after having been to a chiropractor about 10 times with no relief. Dr Luedke performed my relative’s total knee replacement (tkr) surgery and it was very successful. He’s not the kind of doctor who holds your hand but he’s attentive and capable and you definitely want him for a TKR. His staff set up the in-home and external physical therapy, walker, pain management, etc. It was as easy as a tkr could be. Very impressed with both doctors and we highly recommend them. One star off for the phone tree and the front desk staff who can be unfriendly and inefficient at times. I only say this in hopes they improve in this area not to be negative or discourage anyone from seeing these two doctors.
Fantastic experience: Can't recommend enough! My ACL surgery went flawlessly because of Dr Bramhall and his staff. Daniel Curnutt and his PT staff were fantastic at getting me back in playing shape. The encouragement and welcoming faces really helped me push through the pain and recover quickly
Fantastic experience: First of all, Dr Rowland is an amazing surgeon who really cares about the outcome of your surgery. Second of all, the physical therapy group really encourages and pushes you to get maximum results to help you heal properly and get your full mobility back. Austin, Clay, and the team are there to support you and cheer you on. The rest of the staff are friendly and attentive. I had full knee replacement and I am very happy with the care and support I received from start to finish.
Fantastic experience: Review for PT department- I have been dealing with a shoulder injury for 2 years after multiple doctors misdiagnosed me. I finally found my way to this clinic and was correctly diagnosed by surgeon Dr. Rowland with tendonitis and sent to the PT department to avoid surgery. Daniel Curnett, PT, not only kept me from the operating room once, but twice now when the injury had a flare up! He really goes the extra mile in patient care with not only doing the therapy sessions, but providing suggestions and education about how to proceed outside of the clinic. I’m very strapped financially and the staff, and Daniel, were very understanding and designed my PT program around that to help it be affordable. For my home program, I was given detailed instructions and in person demonstrations to help me do the exercises correctly. I also was a Dry-Needling patient. Normally, I am not one for extra stuff when it comes to medical, but this is well worth it. It isn’t the most comfortable feeling, but the pain relief after sessions is WELL WORTH IT! If you need a PT place, I STRONGLY suggest using Daniel Curnutt and staff in the upstairs office (Paden and Sean are fantastic, as well). You will not be just a number to them, they actually get to know you and connect with you! It was almost 5 months between my two therapy programs, and they all remembered me and my situation like I had just been there the day before. Wanda is amazing at the front desk, too! Total sweetheart that will make your check in and repayments super easy!
