Fantastic experience: Amazing care!!!! Fracture my wrist playing volleyball and found this place based on their reviews. The front desk was friendly and made check in and follow up appts a breeze. Dinh was my PA and was so great and knowledgeable about my break. Michelle the rad tech was so gentle and skilled taking my X-rays . Dr. Grantham is fantastic !!! She is so intelligent and reassured me thru all my follow ups that my bone was healing properly. As a healthcare worker myself I found DOC to be easy and way less stressful than dealing with any other orthos out there. Hope to never need them again but have definitely been telling my friends!!! I am already back out on the courts! Thk You DOC & Dr. Grantham!!!!

Negative experience: Started service with DOC at the beginning of 2024 due to severe leg cramps and lower back pain. I had a wonderful Doctor to start named Lena. During my follow-up visit, I had learned that Lena wasn’t available and so I was placed with a new doctor a lady that I never met that was super cold, blonde and lacked any bedside manner to follow up as to why I was even there. I thought maybe Lena was on vacation again I only found out later on that she Left the organization altogether after a couple more visits. From My perspective that was poor communication because I like Dr. Lena much more. During my next visit, I was scheduled to meet with the pain specialist, which is only available once a month. The clinic was super accommodating. I actually unfortunately missed my first appointment due to the timing of the appointment, but they instantly reschedule me and did not penalize me which I’m thankful for after seeing the pain specialist. He recommended that I’m not continue with any type of medication related to shots just because it would require lifelong management and from what he had saw from my MRI I didn’t really need it. He recommended physical therapy, which I had already done previously for almost a year and just did not want to continue due to the high co-pays. His recommendation is that I need to strengthen my core, which I rather just go pay for a gym membership to get that done and I think he was also targeting my lower back when my main issue was the leg cramps that I came in for. I just said that the lower back pain was A symptom, but my leg cramps were my main problem and I could not figure out what was happening there. Anyway, from my initial visit with Dr. Lena, she had prescribed me gabapentin for restless leg syndrome since my situation was very similar in terms of the symptoms I was experiencing. However, the new doctor required me to call literally every month to refill the same prescription which was a super annoying so a couple of months ago I decided to call them back and say hey can we just make this a reoccurring prescription because I’m finding that is actually helpful to my treatment is even providing me temporary relief while we figure out the problem, which is something compared to nothing at all because I didn’t want to continue to take pain meds to address my issue. They were like hey she might have you come back in. I said I’m happy to come back in however it just seems like really short to keep coming back in and having visits which at a certain point you start to wonder if you just want me in there to charge me a co-pay and charge my insurance and that’s a waste of time Unless you have some type of treatment or recommendation you’re going to give me. Anyway, the follow-up plan was to go see another pain management specialist, which makes no sense. I’ve already saw the pain management specialist a few months ago. He already told me that there was nothing he could do. That was their only recommendation they would not continue my prescription and at this point, I’m just really frustrated and I’m at the point of going to go find another doctor but I just wanted to share my experience because I just feel like this is unacceptable care. Given I’ve been very clear about everything that I’ve been experiencing and following up. Happy to come in however it just seems like I’m being sent in the same circles, which is extremely frustrating from a healthcare perspective. I’m giving this feedback to be able to hopefully help you guys with future care because this is unfortunate and I also even called and provided the receptionist with the same feedback I’m not sure if it was received or not but I figured another way to do it this is to do this in a public form like Google reviews so if you are looking for a clinic and you have similar issues, I would not recommend this place.

Negative experience: The room that we were put in hadn’t been cleaned and bloody surgical things were left in there. I’ve never experienced anything like this at a doctor’s office. Other than that, the doctor was great.

Fantastic experience: Easy registration process. My X-ray techs were super nice and helpful to me. The PA Vu that saw me seemed very knowledgeable and explained the X-rays and what testing he was doing to pinpoint my problem. Very good service and I felt confident in my treatment.

Fantastic experience: DOC is a great place for quick and precise orthopedic care. You can get and out in a short time and start feeling better right away. Everyone is really friendly and Sidney did a great job on my hands. Great people who work hard to get you better. I really like the folks at the West Plano office on Hebron.

Positive experience: Took off 1 star due to cashier snarkiness when I informed her the PA was supposed to zero-charge the X-rays. “Is that for BOTH X-rays?” Does she work on commission or something?

Fantastic experience: Excellent visit. Front desk folks were friendly, courteous and helpful. X-ray technician was also helpful and very thorough in generating the proper views of my spine. There was little time between the completion of the x-rays and the arrival of the NP who put the x-rays up on a light board, showed them to me, fully explained his readings and findings and asked numerous questions about my condition. I was impressed by the thoroughness of his physical examination. Using my medical history as a guide he discussed various treatment options and we were able to formulate an appropriate treatment plan going forward. One of the best visits to a doctor I have had ii. The last 25 years. 5 Stars!

Positive experience: The Physical Therapy unit at this location far exceeds expectations for services rendered. The individuals providing my treatment, are extremely knowledgeable, thorough and professional paying attention to minute details actively listening to client concerns to address all relevant avenues of approach for successful outcomes. My only concern is MD. scheduling. If an individual has a scheduled appointment, they arrive prior to their appointment time. But they are informed they have at least an hour to an hour and a 1/2 or 2 hour wait, to be seen for a scheduled appointment is unacceptable. No one regardless of whom it is should have an expectation of such a delay when providing medical care or receiving medical care. Be better do better. 25 March 2024 New Treatment regimen, as always PT staff is exceptional. Listening to what my concerns are and helping to address my target areas for recovery. This is how all PT facilities should operate, unfortunately we know that is not the case. Kudos to Katya! 14 May 2024 Treatment as usual is awesome!!.The only issue that I have at this point is trying contact someone at the facility by phone is a daunting task. When you call getting someone to answer the phone is worse than trying to pull your own teeth with thread attached to a door knob. Fortunately, I do have PT contact information so I can relay a message which I should not have to do because she is treating patients. I should be able to contact someone at the facility to reschedule an appointment VS bothering the physical therapist with this type of detail. From an administrative standpoint this is something that should be evaluated from my personal perspective. This is quite frustrating to say the least.To call repetitively and not get a human response or to have a phone call back to resolve and issue with scheduling, Is problematic. 01 July 2024 The ongoing issue is Still the same. Unfortunately It has not been addressed. If clients are unable to reach an office to schedule appointments, or substantiate information It hurts the bottom line. Undesirable objectionable an uninviting practices don't build operational standards they are destructive. Do better to achieve more. 09 September 2024 DOC PT at the Carrollton location is a model to be studied and duplicated. Their professional approach for patient care is extraordinary. As a unit this group has a seamless commitment to treatment & care continuity. They have been able to accomplish this by using forgotten skill sets of active listening and hearing. As I am plagued with other issues this is one less worry thanks to my Awesome Team!! GO Katya & crew !!

Positive experience: There was a bit of a wait once in the exam room. The providers were good! One thing that got me was, I was told by the physician that I should have fluid drained from my knee so I opted to have that done. On the way out of the office, upon check out, I was slapped with a $170 bill for the "surgical procedure". Now I understand that that may be how my insurance works. And I also understand that I owed it, so I paid it. My problem was that nobody mentioned it to me before the procedure was done to make sure that I could afford to pay it. I just so happened to have the money this week. If they've caught me last week and I wouldn't have. I just feel that it is good well-rounded care to have staff come into the room and let a patient know of any upfront costs when they're about to have a procedure done in the office that is not covered by their copay. This could have been handled a lot better.

Negative experience: Unfortunately! I went here on a Saturday rather than a hospital emergency. I received questionable advice which I had questions to. It wasn't until the following Monday that I get repeat calls from this location, now giving me the opposite directions, more in line what I had asked! I went to a professional emergency room and then followed up with their Ortho recommendation. I was told, from the doctors at the emergency room that my problem should have been addressed on Saturday and avoided the severe pain and now the more difficulty of what needed to be done. This was my experience maybe yours might be different, but I was not going to leave a review but after multiple text, wanting to be reviewed here it is, good luck to all!

Negative experience: The team here is incredible! They will take care of you and get you up to speed with everything you need. . ****Billing issues***** I just finished my Physical Therapy and saw that there was a charge on my card. I reached out and the billing for this company did an unauthorized charge on my card saying I still owed $200. When I confronted her about this she finally agreed she made a mistake. I'm still waiting for her to fix the charge. *****Update *They have agreed to only give me $70 without an explanation as to why except that I agreed to have my credit card on file.....wow

Fantastic experience: Great experience at DOC-Plano yesterday! The check-in was good even though I didn’t have an appointment. The care was superb, I was x-rayed to determine my hip pain that was so bad I didn’t sleep the night before. I received an injection and medication and got a good night’s sleep last night! Thank you DOC!!!

Negative experience: I had to delete my previous review due to things that has transpired after my two weeks of taking steroids and pain medicine that did nothing for me.. I had to go to the emergency room cause I ended up with the same problem and pains when I came to DOC. To end up being told I have a pinch nerve in my elbow and shoulder. Reached back out to the clinic to see if they could help giving me a cortisone shot to help with my pain I’m in for some relief. To be told multiple times someone will call me or better yet the person I need to see is not in the office and then be told he’s there he’ll call me later to see if he can give me the shot or not. I guess he and the other doctor is still trying to figure it out. This is very sad that I’m having all this pain and numbness and they have no interest in helping me.

Fantastic experience: My husband hurt his back and I was scrambling to find a doctor's office that could help him to avoid the ER since they really don't do much of anything there. I found them, scheduled an appointment same day and my husband was cared for his injuring. He is slowly improving because of what the PA could do for him and has much less pain than the first day he injured himself. We are day 3 after his injuring. I am so grateful for this clinic and highly recommended it!

Negative experience: We called to make sure my son could be seen after dislocating his kneecap. Their website and recorded message said they’d see same-day appointments. I called ahead to verify this. After driving 30 minutes, we get there and they told us we couldn’t be seen today. Totally fine with their policy—but VERY frustrated with the lack of clarity and communication when I intentionally called up to ask if he could be seen AND told them when I would get there.

Fantastic experience: I was again seen at DOC for an injury and I was in and out within an hour and a half. I was set with all I needed to support while waiting for additional imaging to be done next week. A solid brace, crutches, and instruction for care! Thank yall so much!

Fantastic experience: I have come here for orthopedic care, as well as physical therapy. Orthopedic care: my appointments are quick and easy, i am in and out from a follow up within 15 minutes. It's convenient that once you have your appointment and are moved to physical therapy, it's in the same building __ Physical Therapy review: I don't have enough good things to say about this place. I had Katya as my PT and she is extremely knowledgeable, personable, phenomenal bedside manner, and an overall great energy for the 45 min - 1 hour time you spend there. Tim is the other PT who helped out when Katya was on vacation. They make a great partnership to ensure they are taking care of their patients, team, and occasional student residents that come in. Z and Courtney help assist Katya and Tim with their patients. Also phenomenal human beings. They truly make this feel like a community in a PT facility. The location is equipped with multiple tables for them to use, consistently getting updated to ensure they are in good shape. As well as various areas and machines to work on your exercises. They are easy to work with for scheduling and provide printouts, an application, and personal phone numbers for your exercises and contact. I highly recommend coming here for any Physical Therapy needs you have.

Positive experience: My first visit went very well. Best thing they are open on the weekends. Staff was very nice, wait time was less than 10 minutes, doctor was informative. Only problem was I didn’t see X-ray but kind of on me I didn’t ask to see them. Overall great place and will recommend and return if I need to.

Fantastic experience: I was able to get a last minute appointment to help address my low back pain. The entire team was friendly and kind, and took my pain seriously. They found the root cause of the pain and strategized a course for treatment that I can stick with and finally feel some relief!
