Fantastic experience: I spent six months recovering from a major stroke at Nexus. I arrived in a wheelchair, not knowing what to expect, just knowing that I wanted toin improve my condition I was unable to walk. I was able to utilize my left hand. I could barely talk, and to top it all off. I had lost vision in my left eye, but I knew that I was going to work real hard to improve my condition, so lgot I started myonmyrehab first I want to thank the ladies of the speech therapy department statement with Miss Rachel Emily I miss n Nikita now I want to thank the OT and pt department’s Starting with Julie R Roland Madison Kathy the physical therapy department now for the occupational therapy department Brandy Monica and CG behind all of the therapists, that is the text desire so Cerita now I really really want to speak on the cleaning of the nest of this facility. The housekeeper department kept this facility, spotless, sanitized, and very very clean. Nexas also provide Mental support starting with Ms. Easy and The dietary department was spectacular. Over all nexus is a really really good place to recover and I would recommend this facility to other veterans, and other people who are recovering from brain trauma be on the negative about this facility is the case worker department I had to do most of Case ManagemeCase Manager,job for myself which was a extra stresson me MyCase manager was never available for me and all of my complaint to the supervisor went on deaf ears I would have given a five star ratinbut the case management department got a negative report from me. I do want to speak on the CEO of this facility. Mr. Cory were very very helpful to my concerns. How do you know I am walking out this place with my head held high, knowing that I am capable of taking care of myself because of the things that I learned here from the nurses facility so I am very very grateful for this place for helping me

Fantastic experience: Despite negative reviews on Nexus Neuro Recovery Center. I am posting based on our experience. This facility is the Best treatment by far that our son Eric has received! Eric is coming up on 3 months and is on the road to recovery for his 23 years of TBI which has never been addressed. New Mexico doesn't have a TBI facility therefore has only been treated for his symtoms rather than the cause. The staff has been remarkable. Reneka Clark is an absolute asset to Nexus. Eric speaks of her as a go to person who he can trust and rely on for explanations and answers. Reneka goes above our expectations. An absolute caring individual that takes pride in all she does. She is there to answer to the best of her knowledge and ability. If she can't take your call she will send you a message and promptly get back to you. As we all know our loved ones need staff attention and we can't expect immediate responses. Behavioral health takes very special/caring staff and that describes Reneka. Stacey Tweto has as well worked very hard and reached out to me multiple times. She as well is Greatly appreciated. Sarah Llesanmi NP has taken the time to call with concerns. RaToshia Keys was extremely detailed when filling in for Stacey Tweto. Stacey Adams set the foundation and we are grateful for her! Let's show these individuals the gratitude they deserve! After all they are dealing with the unimaginable! Thank you Nexus Care Teams! You are all Greatly Appreciated!

Fantastic experience: My son Frankie was recently discharged from Nexus to return to a group home in Albuquerque. This was his 2nd time at this facility. I am very grateful for all their help. The therapists were great! I'm very thankful to Toshia and Nate who worked very hard and were very caring! Toshia was very patient with me, answered all my questions and helped in every way she could! And Nate was very helpful with Frankie at the house. Frankie really liked him. Being out of state was very difficult but they made it so much easier. I also want to thank everyone who cared for him, I may not know your names but know I am thankful to you!

Fantastic experience: I have an autoimmune disorder called CIDP. I came to Nexus for the first time unable to walk and left 2 months later able to stand and walk!! My second time at nexus, I had a relapse and was unable to use my upper body (arms and hands). After 1 month I was able to return home with most of my function back. Today I am fully recovered and I feel like Nexus played a huge roll in my recovery! The therapists are TOP NOTCH! The care and compassion I received from the workers (nurses and aides) was amazing. If you are looking for a place for yourself or loved one, Nexus is a great choice!

Fantastic experience: My husband was hit by a truck and had multiple fatal injuries. He went to 2 facilities before Nexus and was unable to be himself again. He went to Nexus and the miracle happened. They take their jobs very seriously. They strike a rare balance between quality and affordability. Karla Young - you are a super hero. You go out of your way everyday to help these patients with their journey towards healing and recovery. Having a reasonable price allows insurance to approve it for longer so the patient actually has enough time to heal. They take the patient to the follow up appointments and arrange everything for them. It’s the best system I have seen anywhere. Kudos to these super heroes and special thanks to the heaven sent Karla Young.
