TC brings more than 13 years of healthcare experience to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami. He first joined Encompass Health in December of 2021 as an associate administrator at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Martin Health in Stuart, Florida. He has spent much of his career in the acute care hospital setting where he held many different leadership and clinical positions. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in business administration from Western Governors University, as well as two associate’s degrees from St. Petersburg College in nursing and arts. TC is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

A New Jersey native, Dr. Grant completed his medical school training at Rutgers - Newark in New Jersey. He then completed his PM&R residency training at NYU RUSK. Dr. Grant has been on staff at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami since 2016 and became medical director in 2022.

Rafael joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami in 2009, starting as a nurse assistant and now serves as the chief nursing officer. In 2021, he graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Doctorate in nursing practice. He received his CRRN certification in 2013. In the past year, he has been utilizing his knowledge and experience to work as a preceptor to CNOs in the Southeast region. He is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.

Irene joined the leadership team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami in 2022, bringing more than 20 years of financial management experience, 15 of those in the healthcare industry. She graduated with two bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Florida International University (FIU) and a master's degree in accounting-forensics from St. Thomas University. Irene has served in various leadership roles throughout her career, which include nonprofit organizations and inpatient acute care hospitals.

Yasmari joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami in 2016. She became the director of quality and risk management in February 2021. She first started with Encompass Health as a registered nurse, working part time. She was promoted to a full-time nursing supervisor for the night shift in October 2018. After two years of working at Encompass Health, she obtained her CRRN certification and is continuing her education to obtain her master’s degree. She has a passion for patient safety and building a culture of trust with her team.

Katherine joined Encompass Health in 2014. She has more than nine years of retail and hospital pharmacy experience. She graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor’s in dietetics & nutrition and completed her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Florida. Katherine is a consultant pharmacist for the state of Florida, and achieved board certification in geriatric care from the Board of Specialty Pharmacy in 2020. As a certified pain management pharmacist, she assists with the pain management program. Katherine is a member of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist.

Marc joined Encompass Health in November 2019 and joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami team in December 2022. He brings more than 13 years of healthcare experience and has worked in various medical settings from acute care hospitals, nursing homes, hospice and home healthcare agencies. Marc received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Delaware State University and a master’s degree in social work from Howard University. He is currently completing his clinical doctorate in social work from the University of Pennsylvania.

John has been working in healthcare engineering/facility management for over 35 years and has worked at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami since 2013. John earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and equivalent bachelor’s degree in emergency management from Grand Canyon University. He is a certified healthcare engineer (CHE) and a certified healthcare emergency professional (CHEP). John is very involved with helping the community he serves in areas of engineering and emergency management.

Jill has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare with a focus in the area of business development, physician relations, pharmaceutical sales and marketing as well as speech-language pathology.  She earned both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree degree in communication disorders from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Jill has over 10 years of leadership experience and is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Ivania joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami team in February 2022. She has more than six years of experience in human resources. Her first job out of college was as human resources assistant/benefit administrator for Emilio and Gloria Estefan’s corporate office, Estefan Enterprises, Inc. This is where her interest and passion began for human resources. Ivania earned her bachelor’s degree in criminology and minor in sociology from Barry University, and she holds a master’s degree in human resources management from Florida International University.

Hernan is the director of therapy operations for the team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami. Hernan joined Encompass Health in 2006. He transitioned and devoted himself to the inpatient rehabilitation setting and grew into leadership beginning as a physical therapist, advancing to a physical therapy lead position, therapy manager and now director of therapy operations. Hernan brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to his role of overseeing the therapy operations at the hospital. Hernan enjoys building and maintaining relationships while promoting the benefits of inpatient rehabilitation.

Kira joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami in January 2020 as a marketing liaison and was promoted to senior marketing liaison in December 2022. Kira has been in the healthcare field for 10 years where she has always enjoyed working closely with patients and families. Kira strives to bring Encompass Health’s rehabilitation services to the community of Miami to help promote a better quality of life for those that would benefit from our services.
