Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about the abilities of Joe Millen and his staff. I start with Joe about eight years ago and I came in not being able to put any weight on my toes not being able to walk correctly. When I walked down the airport, they let me into the line because I was bald over so much. Now I can walk not 100% yet but to the point where people actually think people think I’m walking normally. I’m 81 years old and I feel that well. A lot of my friends are declining and health. I’m not just treading water. I’m improving.. I’d say most of this is due to my time with Joe Millen .

Fantastic experience: Miracle workers! I went into my first CrossFit competition with pain in my hip I just couldn’t get rid of. I saw them first thing the morning of and they helped ease pain and increase my mobility that allowed me to compete all day with minimal discomfort. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I wasn't sure how much to expect from physical therapy but Joe is a freakin' WIZARD and my severely arthritic knees are doing SO much better! He is firm but gentle and is really good at explaining exactly what he is doing and things that I can do myself to continue making progress.

Fantastic experience: I saw Phil about 2 weeks after major shoulder surgery and his soft tissue work cut my recovery time in half.

Negative experience: WOMAN BEWARE. Dr.Millen touched and spoke to me very inappropriately. Do not go here. It was to the point I should have likely reported to authorities. Do not go there or leave your children there.

Fantastic experience: Now a retired occupational therapist/certified hand therapist, I had the pleasure of working with Joe for a number of years in a local therapy clinic before he started Impact Health. I recognized immediately that Joe’s knowledge and skills with an approach to patient treatment were above and beyond other physical therapists. When I had a challenging patient, I would often reach out to Joe to consult with me. Because I had taken numerous advanced courses over my career that addressed the total body in finding the root cause of a patient’s issue, I aligned with Joe’s critical thinking and hands on approach. Recently, I now find myself as the ‘patient’. Ignoring several years of pain in both shoulders, X-rays revealed significant arthritis. Plasma, stem cells were not an option. Due to pain & loss of motion, and functional decline, I opted for a right total shoulder replacement 3 months ago. Doing self therapy, I now felt some additional help from Joe could speed my recovery on the surgical side and perhaps delay or dismiss the need for surgery on the left. After the initial evaluation, Joe’s insight and ‘hands on’ have already enabled me to have better insight and awareness of how to do my own therapy and I see slight improvement in motion. Since I can’t do my own ‘hands on’, I am scheduling additional visits at IMPACT in hopes of resuming all my activities of working on our large property including using pole pruners, loppers, shovels, hand saws, painting and more; and returning to volunteer at Caladesi Island State Park!

Fantastic experience: Joe Millen is an exceptional physical therapist who is dedicated to his patients. He is knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. Joe takes the time to listen and design personalized treatment plans. He is a great communicator, always remaining positive and encouraging, which helps keep patients motivated to achieve their goals. As a server I use my hands and wrists a lot and he managed to relieve my pain as they were really sore due to carrying trays and such.

Fantastic experience: I love the head PT here, Joe Millen! There's no one I trust more with my body. I'm a yoga instructor and have a lot of overuse injuries. He's helped me with my ribs, my back, my neck, my wrists, and my ankles. He helped me get rid of chronic headaches, too. He's always respectful when doing hands-on work and I find it very helpful. He has even helped me over Zoom a couple times when I threw my back out while traveling. I think he's the best in the business!

Fantastic experience: I was in Fl. 9 yrs. ago from Ia. as executor of my father's estate. He had been going to your facility for care when alive. I had appts. while I was in Fl. also. I had an excellent healthcare experience during the 3 weeks I was in Fl. which healed a painful foot problem that I had experienced for 2 yrs.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Impact Health since Aug. 2019. Philip and Joe are amazing. Their “Hands On” approach and resistance training are unique and that I believe is what makes them stand out more than then rest. As a former All-American tennis player in College I have had my fair share of PT. Most PT tell you to do an exercise and walk away while you are doing it. Philip works you 100% of your session! He incorporates different aspects of personal training, massage therapy, and fitness training into a total body integration program. Having his Doctor of Physical Therapy, he has knowledge of every muscle in the body. He has made me learn that just because you have back pain, does not mean the problem is coming from your back. It could be your knee or many other areas not associated with your back. He addresses it and fixes it. I am so lucky to have found him and have him on my team! #PickleballGal

Fantastic experience: If you’re serious about getting better THIS IS THE PLACE. Joe is incredible- I’ve been dealing with neck pain for ~13 years, and shoulder pain for the last 5 years. To try to fix it, I’ve gotten MRIs, CT scans, massages, acupuncture, chiropractic re-alignment...you name it. Unfortunately though, lots of wasted time and $$ later, nothing had worked. However, in a couple of sessions with Joe I’m for the first time *actually* seeing results. His approach is what makes the difference. Rather than seeing a problem area and solely focusing on it, he goes on an investigation with your body to understand *why* that area is under distress. That way, he is able to fix the root of the problem to fix it in long-term way. In my case, he realized that my neck and shoulders were in pain bc my ribs were out of place (among other things), which caused the wrong muscles to overcompensate, leading to pain and injury. So my sessions focused on getting the alignment right which has finally eased my pain. So again, if you want to actually get better, I highly recommend you go here!!

Fantastic experience: They teach couples how to relieve each other pain and learn to not only help with each other pain relief but bond with each other n learn to help each other identify things that your partner might not have noticed was causing discomfort. Who knows your body better than your partner! Who would you rather have there hands all over you? We think this is a amazing n unique approach to pain management or at least a additive!

Fantastic experience: 1st visit was educated on how we needed to proceed to correct my issues. Already have positive results..... I wish I found these folks months ago when I had my accident. Looking forward to my recovery!!

Fantastic experience: I started at Impact to keep my body in shape for an ultra marathon I was going to run and Joe kept me ready to go when the gun sounded and got me to the finish line. Impact is not a therapy mill where they give you a giant ball and tell you to do 30 squats while they go from person to person. The individual time they spend with you is the only way to get healed and stay that way.

Fantastic experience: About 3 years ago I injured some nerves in my neck while lifting. I experienced no pain but lost about 65% of my left arm and wrist strength. I thought to much time had passed to bring the nerves back but decided to give Joe a shot after hearing so many great things about him. I've been to about 7 sessions with Joe and have already increased my strength tremendously. I can not stress enough the knowledge and ability this guy has to fix what is wrong. Give him a chance you will not regret it.

Fantastic experience: Joe Millen is an amazing physical therapist. I am an athlete, Pilates instructor and personal trainer so having my body in optimal condition is essential. Joe has worked with me on multiple injuries (including hip, shoulder, neck- whiplash from a car accident) with fast results. The manual resistance therapy is a great technique.
