Longview VA Clinic

Fantastic experience: I’m obligated to say good things about the folks at the Longview VA Clinic. They have saved my life more than once (really) and are the best in my experience with any medical issues I have ever had. Thanks to everyone there .

Positive experience: When it comes to the clerks at the front windows, I understand why some feel that they are rude because they can be curt and short in their answers. But, I think that's due, at least in part, because they are so busy. Folks get impatient while standing in line waiting for a clerk to call to the next person because it looks like the clerks are not doing anything and ignoring the queue. But the clerks are also having to answer all of the incoming calls, verify all of the vet's info, then deal with everything else concerning each call. Just think about all of the info they have to get and verify each time a vet calls or when they check one of us in. And sometimes a situations is complicated or difficult, then it takes more time. I do my best to keep that in mind and try to remember my Southern upbringing. I call them by name, say "please", "thank you", "ma'am". Most importantly, i smile because smiles are contagious. I'm hoping one day to infect them with it because I don't think I've ever seen even a hint of a smile on any of their faces. They can't ALL wake up having an innate inability to smile and be in a bad mood every single day, so I'm betting that their smiles and positivity are quickly drained away by the negativity put forth by the folks they interact with all day long. So show them those Southern manners that our mommas taught us, like politeness, courtesy, and respect, and you just might be surprised and get some in return. ????
