Hawthorne Center for Rehabilitation and Healing of Ocala

Fantastic experience: I ve had both hips completely replaced so I’ve stayed at Life Center of Ocala and Hawthorne Rehab.Let me tell you, I can’t express the gratitude and love I have for these wonderful people that work there. I am a retired DHR from HCA hospitals and I can tell you it’s not in their job description to give this kind of love, even in the most cruelest behavior and abuse they put up with. Such devoted loving people. Very rare!! To the Administrators of the facility I urge to stand by the staff and protect them as well as you care for us patients who depend so much on them. Their kindness is heartfelt. Believe me when I tell you I personally witnessed how they are treated by some antagonistic, ill mannered patients who are obviously selfish, spoiled and unrelenting. Any bad review you see is most probably from one of these spoiled, antagonistic, etc people. They are full of it!!!Back up these hard working ,caring, and devoted employees. Good ones are so hard to find. A special shout out to Daphne in Physical therapy and to Sharna CNA and Radha in housekeeping who made me laugh when I wanted to cry. They did make me cry but tears of laughter. To Nora, LPN and her husband Ernesto with their wonderful combination of sincere caring and patience they too made me feel so good to be there. Also Ms Temería, LPN. It is because of them that after being here for two weeks + I feel great and they’ve made it possible for me to feel comfortable and safe to go home.This is the place to come to heal, and feel the love you can’t buy! Fantastic experience: Kaleah and Alecia and Jaimie were extremely helpful to me. They made it very easy for me to make requests. I could not ask for better assistance than these young ladies gave me. They made my stay here at rehab a very pleasant one. I have no complaint about any of the other staff members either. They have all been very kind and helpful. However these three people were more than outstanding. They are credit to your corporation.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a part of Hawthorne for almost two decades. I worked there as an aide when it was still Surrey Place. I ended up leaving in 2021. It’s a beautiful facility. They’ve made tons of improvements over the years. Housekeeping and maintenance are top notch. The social worker, Feliscia, is talented and knowledgeable. I’ve had 3 of my own loved ones there as patients and they received excellent care. Great place for patients and employees alike.

Fantastic experience: My Tio was a patient at Hawthorne and he had a very pleasant stay. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The therapy department is very knowledgeable and worked very hard to get him back on his feet. The food was good. The nursing staff was attentive and caring. The social workers set up for home care at home and provided resources for him at home. I would recommend Hawthorne because not only did the staff go the extra mile to help him but they made us feel like family.
