Fantastic experience: The nursing staff helped with all of the care I was unable to provide for myself. They promptly responded anytime I needed anything. The physical therapist helped me to devise techniques that I have been able to employ so that I can live at home un-assisted while my bones heal. I liked the food. It was nice not having to deal with meal planning and preparation. There would have been no way I could have functioned on my own if I had come directly home from the hospital.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. The whole team is motivating and understanding as well. I felt very comfortable leaving my mom there. Shout out to the whole staff, they are amazing.

Fantastic experience: This is the best rehabilitation center ever!! Shoutout to all the therapist that work here! My mom was inpatient and my dad outpatient! They are caring and understanding! They push the patient to heal and get stronger but also listen to the patient and structure the workout accordingly. Would not go anywhere else!!!

Fantastic experience: After a stroke and left side paralysis, my husband spent 2.5 weeks at Select rehab. He began there not eating, sleeping most of the time. He left there engaged in his rehab, making progress that helped him envision what he could achieve, with the support of physical, occupational, and speech therapists. We are returning for continued outpatient have despite the drive from our rural home.

Negative experience: The staffing needs coordination with each other and with transfers from other facilities. There seems to be a large focus on what Medicare will pay instead of the patient’s readiness to be discharged.

Positive experience: The air conditioner in this unit broknen, making in very difficult to stay comfortable.I saw no efforts to make rectify the situation.

Fantastic experience: Select Medical Rehab in Denton has so many awesome employees. You can tell they come to work because they love their jobs. Everyone is awesome. This is my second time here in the last 5 years. The care and the compassion have only gotten better.

Fantastic experience: My 85yr old mom visiting from TN entered Select after failing in our bathroom, breaking both large bones in her "good leg", a successful ER surgery and night recovery, ending with a stroke while even on two different blood thinners. Her surgeon mentioned his recommendation of Select and pointed it's location across from the hospital. I had heard it was an intense program and hard to qualify acceptance. After her stroke, we decided on Select mainly because of location and their stats for patients returning home after they finished the program. Mom lives in an active adult community where, due to her bad knee, she has recently purchased an electric wheelchair to eliminate long walks. The Select staff was challenged to get Mom function independently with 1 leg in a boot, other with a bad knee, and a speech deficiency finding words and answering direct questions. I personally stayed in the room at night, with warm welcomes the extensive team working to help Mom. The quality of care was beyond exceptional. They listened to her, adapted their plans to her ability that day, pushed her to succeed while making safely always #1. Mom has had many medicial challenges over many years. She is so glad this place exists to help her and others recover. She's proud of herself at the end of the day, even when she wished she was able to do more. She has stated that she knew her therapist team was"for her" leading to her being more motivated to succeed The 24/7 care I witnessed was always though and respectful of the patient. Due to the limitations with a leg, can't have any weight applied, our initial goal to ensure with supervision Mom can return home with us. We plan to do outpatient when she can use her leg again, hoping to lead to an independent living again for her Finally, the food, ordered each morning for the next day, was a huge surprise. Mom had lost her appetite for food over the years. She loved the food and would look forward to the choices for the next day. Sorry to write a novel but nothing is more important to us than for our Senior mother to be treated with kindness, respect, and provided the skills to enjoy her Golden years independently The journey isn't easy but with the effort, especially with an exceptional skilled team walking with you. I thank Select and Medicare for partering together for this exception care.

Fantastic experience: I recently spent some time in.Select Rehabilitatio Hosipital ,Denton.I was only there for 8 day's but it was the most intence and productive time of my illness.The staff,nursces, techs,aid's,Physical Therapy and OT therapist's were fantastic.I wish I would have stayed longer. The doctor's ,social case worker,office staff, Dietician again were all a great help.I'm giving Direct Care 5 star's and more if I could.Thank you S.R.H Steve Latham

Fantastic experience: My mom was transferred from the hospital with diagnosis of blood clots in both lungs. She is 87 yrs old and was completely bedbound and total care Less than 2 weeks and she is able to do her own care with minimal assistance. This facility is great and the staff is so friendly. Every person who has had contact with us has been the best. Highly recommend. Mom had been active for her age and I was afraid I was going to have to place her in a nursing home since I am her caregiver 24/7. We plan to go home in a couple of days and from both of us thank you Select staff. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Positive experience: They took great care of my Grandfather physically. The nurses and direct staff were great. But the office staff not so much. When it came to helping find him a long term facility they were not very helpful. They discharged him with only 1 semi good leg to his home where it was not completly handicap accessible properly. My mother and aunt worked hard to find him a long term facility and found one but Select still discharged him home instead of waiting on a admit date from the long term care facility. This is completely uncalled for. This office staff needs better insurance training.

Negative experience: I don't recommend this place. My dad was there for a week or two and complained about the staff mistreating him. My dad was not completely there mentally so it was hard to tell, but after repeat complaints by him there seemed to be something to it. But most concerning is that my dad had his cell phone with him and it suddenly went missing one day. My dad was bed ridden. He couldn't even get out to go to the bathroom by himself. Yet his phone somehow disappeared. The facility would not take any responsibility for it. I escalated it to their CEO and it still got denied. They said it may have gotten thrown in with their sheet laundry service, but would not do anything about it. My dad had to go back to the hospital for a while and when he was released again to rehab refused to go back to Select because of how they treated him. He ended up going to a place down the road in Denton and he was much happier there. I do not recommend Select at all.

Negative experience: After hip repair surgery at Denton Presbyterian I was transferred to Select. I had fabulous caring nurses but then on 6-22-22 before 7am I rang for assistance to use the bathroom. I waited 15 minutes and NO ONE answered my call. The hall was quiet. Finally a nurse came out of the room across the hall from me and assisted me. When I finished I packed my belongings and rolled myself down to the nurses station, told what happened and said also “I’m packed and leaving, prepare my discharge”. The food was so unfit I wouldn’t feed a dog, totally disgusting!! I was there years ago and had excellent care, good food too. What’s has happened to change the attitude of people? The only reason I gave 2* is for most of actually nursing staff otherwise I would give only 1* I have no reason to speak with you. All the nursing care I had up until that particular time mentioned above was excellent, caring 5***** Today is 9-9-22 I recently found out that Dr. Alexandru Anastasia sent in 2 prescriptions on me to Albertsons after I had been discharged for over 2 months from Select Rehab. Those scripts were sent on 8-24-22. Why the H**L are you messing around with my medications. You ARE NOT MY DOCTOR! This seems extremely unethical to me, you should have your license revoked. One med I get from my heart doc the other from my general practitioner. SHAME ON YOU

Fantastic experience: I was treated both as an Inpatient and now Outpatient for rehabilitation services at Select Rehab in Denton. The staff (including professional and support personnel), treatment, communication and level of care are superior. My road to health and full range of activities is clear.

Fantastic experience: My dad stayed here for about a week after surgery to recover and rehabilitation. He had good and very attentive care from the staff. I recommend it!

Negative experience: SELECT REHAB was not the place for my father. They did pretty much nothing for him from what I can gather seeing my father before and after he went in. He went in after having a full knee replacement and then was discharged TOO EARLY the first time so he had to go back 3 days after returning home. Once again he came out of the facility 2 weeks later with ZERO progress or strength gains and ZERO explanation as to WHY he was being discharged. He smelled as if he hadn't been bathed in a week and there was absolutely NO CONTACT from any attending physician the ENTIRE TIME he was at the facility. There was a MAJOR lack of continuity in care and follow-up. There was never ANY charting or accounting in any form presented to us as to the progress of his rehab while he was there. Nothing. We never received any information upon the 2nd discharge of concerns they SHOULD have had regarding his lack of motor skills and strength, nothing. He was supposed to be on CPAP and the part-time respiratory therapists did nothing to try to assist in expediting the orders they needed to get it for him while he was there.... they didn't care, it was ON US, my mom and I, to follow up and get these orders to them which is ridiculous... FOR TWO WEEKS! Not a single comment from any doctor upon release, they just handed my mother some discharge paperwork and said good luck and wheeled him out to the car. He has now fallen twice in the 2 days back at the house because of his lack of strength in his lower extremities. If he breaks his other leg, God forbid, it will be over for him. He's 76 years old and dealing with weight issues as well as severe sleep apnea and congestive heart failure. I would highly recommend you search for other care facilities if your loved one needs more extensive care. This is NOT the facility for someone who needs concentrated, focused and targeted care for sure.

Fantastic experience: In may, my mom was at a place we were not satisfied with. @advancerehabtrusthomehealth recommended Select. Select was awesome, got her back on her feet after hip problems and got her moving around very quickly! When my step dad needed rehab, we immediately said Select. He is doing awesome and going home tomorrow. They are caring and very thorough ..love the attention to detail, and their concern. A+++

Fantastic experience: I was lying in bed this morning and I was thinking about the time that I spent in Select Rehabilitation Hospital. I don’t really have the words to express my gratitude for the way my wife and I were treated when I was a patient. You made it possible for my wife to stay with me each night and eat all of her meals with me and attend most of my activities with me. This experience brought us closer together than we had ever been before. We still enjoy that feeling. We enjoyed the few times we were able to attend the support group meetings also. Although we love living in the elderly community where we are now, we miss the time spent with the staff at Select.

Fantastic experience: Select rehabilitation has been amazing for my mom. Everyone at select rehabilitation has been very nice and very helpful. My mom has been to different facilities and has come out worse than when she went it. If you really want to get better select rehabilitation is the place to go.

Positive experience: Great place for rehab ..great prices to eat for family. Food for patient pretty drab unless you like chicken....for EVERY MEAL.

Fantastic experience: Just spent 2 weeks there and would recommend it anytime. Therapist's and nurses and techs were wonderful. I have since been back in outpatient therapy and they have restored my well being. I can't say enough positive things about this facility and its therapists.

Negative experience: Incompetent, unprofessional and uncaring staff. Do not allow you loved one to stay in this place. You will regret it!

Fantastic experience: My mother has recently been admitted to Select and so far, I have been very impressed. There is a wide range of professionals assigned to many different tasks, and all have been extremely helpful and kind. It's only been a few days, but so far my family has been very pleased with the level of service and compassion.

Negative experience: My mother's nurse held back medication she was suppose to receive on schedule. When complaining about a problem in the evening, my mom was ignored until the next day when she was physically incapable of finishing her therapy. There may be some good people working here, but there are equally as many that need to start doing their job and not make their own rules.
