Senior Care at Denton Post Acute Care

Negative experience: My issue is with the administration! My loved one passed in mid April and I still have not received a resolution to my issue. No one answers their facility phone, and I rarely receive a reply to messages left. When I do manage to talk to someone and I'm told they will get back to me it doesn't happen

Negative experience: CAUTION!!BEWARE!! I am begging you if you care at all about your loved ones then PLEASE! Heed my warning…in addition to personally witnessed NEGLECT on one occasion a patients medicine was all over her shirt in the form of a crushed pill and saliva mixture whichwas crammed in her mouth while asleep and apparently choked subsequently spitting it up all over her new shirt

Negative experience: We are a contractor and they stopped payment on a job they at we was authorized to do , the company is being sold at this Point the da and attorneys say they committed credit card fraud using personal funds to pay cooperate expenses.interested to see how this turns out this week we are a small company they can put us out of buisness over this one shady move .The staff is great I do not know about cooperate they say Tommorow it will be made right I will respond and take this down if they do .

Fantastic experience: As an agency nurse that absolutely loves this facility. Most facilities see an agency nurse walk in and you get little to no help from staff. Here you get the complete opposite. Staff here is absolutely friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make an outsider feel welcomed. I will always work any and all available shifts here. From house keeping all the way to the top these folks are welcoming.

Fantastic experience: My mother recently had a stroke and broke her hip. After hip replacement surgery, she was transferred to Senior Care for rehab and PT. The staff (which is all new since the company changed owners recently) is fantastic. Every single staff member, from nurses to aides to the PT specialists are caring, compassionate, and skilled in their specialties. They were always quick to respond to our requests and always had a smile and a kind word. I can highly recommend this facility if you have a loved one who needs rehab. Thanks to all the staff at Senior care...you make me feel comfortable knowing my mother is under your care.

Fantastic experience: Brinker Denton is not Senior Care. Brinker Denton has a brand new team of dedicated nursing staff, as well as they are under new management. What Senior Care use to be is not what Brinker Denton is now. I am very proud and amazed at how much they have rebuilt this place.

Fantastic experience: We recently moved my Aunt to this facility. It was a smooth and easy transition to get her there. Everyone has been incredibly helpful. We are thankful to have found your facility.

Fantastic experience: I have recently joined the organization and proud to be a part of Brinker Denton family. They are very organized and nice team overall with great experiences. Therapy gym is amazing and nursing staff are certainly very dedicated. I would definitely recommend this place to your loved one.

Fantastic experience: I just placed my mom here 2 weeks ago. I have nothing but good to say. The staff is very attentive to her. I have not encountered any problems. The facility is very nice and well kept.

Positive experience: I have had a patient that transferred in Critical Care to this facility from a place in Southern Texas and it was a struggle getting adjusted. This facility has been thru a lot of changes over the past 8 months. It still has several areas to clean up but overall the progress and has been respectable. The people have changed a bit and they have had 3 Administrators in the past 8 months. However, I believe in conversation only at this point that the currently appointed Administrator just might be the right fit. We'll see ! Special thanks and recognition to many members of the team, as well Namely, Courtney, Michelle, Janice, Marquita, Lisa, all the ladies up front and Mr. Jerod Kubick ( hopefully I spelled that proper ) Sorry, Mr. Kubick, LOL. A super special thanks and thumbs up to, ROUX who always exceeds expectations. Keep up the great results, Senior Care of Denton Team and we all will reap the awards. Respectfully I remain.

Positive experience: I placed my mom at this facility awhile back. Majority of the staff is great but I have to recognize one person in particular. Charlotte in the business office. She has been great and I couldn’t have done any of this without her.

Negative experience: My mom has been to several facilities recently because of a hip replacement and some other health problems. I am sad to say that this one was at the bottom of the list. All of the staff I have encountered were very friendly and helpful. The facility itself, however was not very clean. It smelled awful. I was really disappointed in the meals she was receiving. The meals I saw were cold and unappetizing. My mom is not eating while in the facilty because the food is so awful. One night they got sandwiches for dinner that looked terrible. I hope someone will look into the food service in this facility. It is so different from the other facilities in the are that all have wonderful food.

Negative experience: 1 star only because I needed to leave this message. if we wouldn't have taken our loved one out of this place he would have died. if you want your loved one to keep living you better take them out of senior care of denton immediately do not hesitate. from the administrative staff to medical staff are all horrible. neglected residents is normal here trust and believe me. there are too may places to send your loved one to be risking thier life here. if you go you will definitely regret it your decision. ask yourselves why this place has 2 1/2 stars

Positive experience: My 90 yr old father was transferred here recently from the hospital per a recommendation from a friend. We have found this place to be so busy with therapists, nurses, CNAs and other staff - all caring for patients. Never an empty hallway. Like most patients here, he has some unique needs that are being addressed. I have peace that he is being tended to even when a family member isn't present. I was impressed by the compassion of so many of the caregivers during our care plan meeting. So many times, we post a negative comment without in turn posting positive comments when things are good. So, I'm taking that time now in hopes that those who review comments prior to placing your loved one will have peace knowing that our experience has been good so far!

Negative experience: The only reason I gave it 1 star is because I have to....It is the worst place ever, I wouldn't let my dog go there. My friend just got released today thank the good lord. He wasn't taken care of and was left in his own urine and feces for hours. He did have a few aides that did do their jobs and actually care for the patients. The supervisor is aware of the problems and does nothing to make things better. This facility needs to be shut down!

Negative experience: I know overall they're one of the better places around here; however, I was visiting my family member on June 25th and they had her CNA with someone who was I thought another CNA but said couldn't be by himself.  He had glasses and his dark hair was pulled up in a ponytail. I think his name started with a J. Justin possibly. Last name nixon. At any rate, at one point I left to get a drink for my family member after no one had responded for a while and as I was walking past one of the rooms that cna he's sitting in there with the AC on just sitting in an empty room on his telephone when all my family member needed was a drink. Then later on I saw a different CNA come over to someone near the nurses station and ask for someone named Justin saying he had been gone for over an hour. I thought it was nice that they were going to have two CNAs helping my family but that second one was so unprofessional and lazy. To my face he was very polite and willing to help but he seemed to be hiding out and I wonder what happens when no one's watching. I'm very upset right now but I don't want any repercussions for my family member so I'm not going to say which resident is my family. Just know that it seems like you get some good and some bad and I'm not pleased with this because how could he have so much time on his hands if he's being managed properly? I truly do Wonder why he thought he was more important than my family member he's getting paid to take care of. My family member is feeling hot and needing a drink and this guy is resting in an empty room with the AC on glued to his phone. I am sure they have a lot of good CNAs there but it makes me scared about management.

Negative experience: The care here is poor at best. Residents are not properly cared for on the weekends. They are left in their rooms on the weekends to fend for themselves. Meals look & smell terrible. If they get fed at all. In my mind the residents should be first and foremost.

Fantastic experience: On June 11, 2017, I went to visit my dear friend who is only 57 years old and suffers from dementia. I was very happy to see that the negative reviews written by others are not what I saw at all! Everyone was so kind and helpful and this place is very clean! They have fun activities and offer physical therapy for the residents, and the food is very good from what residents have shared with me. I saw what they served for dinner and it looked and smelled delicious! They have some nice comfortable community rooms for visitation, and one of them had a piano in it, and one of the residents was playing. It was nice to see her playing and smiling! There is a big fish aquarium and glass bird wall enclosure in another community room with TV in there. They have a lovely gazebo for the residents and I saw more flowers were being planted when I was there on Sunday. I wish I had that view from my house! I was impressed with the dining room. All of the round dining tables have pretty gold table clothes on them. It probably makes the residents smile to have a nice restaurant feel to it, in looking more elegant. People acted happy that I spoke to and had lived here for many years. I was so relieved that this is a nice place for my dear friend to now call home. The staff members that I spoke to were so kind and helpful, we should sing their praises for taking good care of our loved ones! They have such an important and taxing job! When care takers do a good job, they should be thanked for doing so. Saying thanks can go a very long way! My name is Mrs. Kemp from Plano, Texas and this is a real testimony.

Negative experience: This place is filthy and the people alone are rude. They even sent a male in a lady in the bathroom needing help. That is so wrong. This happened 11/21/15. My mom is hear and we are going to see about moving her. This place is not a fit for any human. Medicare Medicade needs to check into this place.

Negative experience: This is the worst place I have ever seen! My grandmother stayed one night and we took her out! She was transferred after being in the hospital for an injury from a fall for physical therapy. The physical therapist was great but the facility is horrible. DO NOT put your loved one here! They don't even deserve one star!
