Fantastic experience: I am thrilled to have found this facility. After a bad fall, my shoulder was injured. I've never done physical therapy before but it was prescribed by my orthopedic doctor. It's only been three sessions, but I'm feeling better already. My therapist is Tara and she is absolutely incredible. I never thought I could actually enjoy Physical therapy, but she makes it fun. I am committed to going in three times a week, and I feel like if I keep working with Tara, I will have full mobility back. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I came to SoFloPT Sports for muscle recovery for my left thigh and knee mobility. Dr John Berlind and assistant helped in this recovery. After 12 sessions in just a few weeks with him I was able to feel full strength back in my leg and was back to doing my normal everyday routines. Thanks so much!

Negative experience: I feel bad leaving this review but I feel like I have to. My girlfriend went there because she had knee pain. She was assigned an intern who was new, and she was told to do exercises that were hurting her knee. She told the intern her knee was hurting but the intern said it’s ok and to continue. The next day she couldn’t walk and was in pain the following week as well. I later confronted the staff and they apologized, it was genuine. I wasn’t going to leave this review because it was an honest mistake, but when she signed up for the training they told her they would charge us even though I explained her insurance covered 100% of the bill. They told me it’s their policy to charge 10%, wait for insurance to respond, then immediately refund it if 100% was covered. Well insurance responded on July 12 and I decided to wait to see when they would refund me before saying anything, but it’s currently August 26th and I got tired of waiting so I called in and they refunded her. The place and the people are nice so I really hope future customers don’t have the bad experience we had

Fantastic experience: SoFlo PT has been phenomenal since I started coming here three months ago. When I walked into my first session, I was fresh out of surgery for a broken fibula and tibia—my first injury ever—so I had no idea what to expect. From day one, Dustin and Gaby have been incredibly informative and supportive in every session. I went from not being able to put any weight on my leg to now walking confidently and incorporating more exercises each time. Dustin and Gaby ensure that I understand each exercise and address all my questions, alleviating any doubts I may have. The environment is incredibly welcoming, and I'm thrilled that I chose SoFloPT! Fantastic experience: So happy to have found this place! The staff is excellent and friendly. I went in with injured menisci in my knees. I was putting off going to physical therapy, but then I decided I needed professional help. I couldn't do any squats and lunges. Omar was patient and encouraging. He helped me tremendously. By the end of my pt program, I was able to do squats, lunges, roman dead lifts, and more. Highly recommend going here!

Fantastic experience: I worked with John for several months after being diagnosed with a herniated disk. My training was always varied and tailored to my individual treatment needs. After doing 2-3 sessions a week for a few months, my back pain is nearly completely gone. My core strength and overall mobility are now even better than before my injury. Overall, I'm very happy to have worked with SoFloPT. They are very professional and have a great facility.

Fantastic experience: SoFlo PT is great! The positive energy is very uplifting and inviting especially after an injury. I’ve been working with Gaby for the past month as I recover from a broken heel. Gaby has been very helpful and patient as I progress through the various therapies. Fantastic experience: SoFlo PT is an excellent facility, clean, bright, and very up to date. The therapists are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I had chronic back pain along with slowly worsening lack of strength and energy. I worked with Alexus, who from start to finish supervised my program and kept me moving through every session; no time was wasted! I now have minimal if any back pain, and my strength and energy are greatly improved, so my daily activities are back to normal. I've been to several PT facilities, but none as caring or effective as SoFlo PT. And Alexus was terrific!

His approach and results were excellent, my son's knee is back to normal and he is back to all activities prior to his injuries. Excellent service and care, the facility is state of the art as well.

Fantastic experience: I went to SoFlo PT for lower back pain. Dr Dustin helped me strengthen the muscles that had led to the pain and gave me tools I could use at home. The staff are also very friendly and the facility is state of the art with modern equipment.

Fantastic experience: Went to Soflo after receiving several recommendations from orthopedic doctors and also friends that have had physical therapy at Soflo. Dustin was highly recommended to work on my ACL/MCL surgically repaired knee. Dustin exceeded his reputation and I was thankful for the opportunity to work with him. He is knowledgeable, professional, and understood the goals I had for my recovery. Dustin and Soflo PT are my first choice if I ever need physical therapy in the future.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately I tore my ACL in December on my first day of the new ski season. It put a halt to everything, and was one of the most mentally and physically challenging things I’ve gone through. After consulting various doctors , I decided to get my first surgery ever. The first week after surgery was excruciating. Unable to walk , unable to drive , unable to work - I felt so hopeless. Fortunately my surgeon referred me to Soflo and I was paired with Dustin. I have been going to PT for the past 3 months and have noticed incremental improvements every week. He has a way of pushing you right to your limit, but not overdoing it. Last week I jogged for the first time since 2023. The facility is brand new , has lots of equipment , is located near downtown and even has free parking. If you need physical therapy , this is hands down the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I have done PT before but this is the only place I feel that I am getting somewhere. I have to thank Heath for helping me in my knee recovery. The amount of pain I had before starting my physical therapy was unbearable, but thanks to the exercises I feel that my knee is getting better (if only I wouldn't have to travel so much). By the way, I agree with other reviews, they are friendly and professional, and the place is super clean.

Fantastic experience: I was having issues with my IT Band and knee while running, I came into SoFlo PT and John knew what to do right away. After my sessions I am now running pain free. John was very easy to work with and made my PT very comfortable. Thank Dr. John and SoFlo PT!!!

Fantastic experience: I was sent to PT for plantar fasciitis. I chose SoFla PT based on friends recommendations and it was the right choice. The facilities are top notch, staff is great, and my Therapist Alex got me back to full strength right when he promised he would. I’ll never go anywhere else (knock on wood).

Fantastic experience: I had a 12-14 year old issue what I now know to be an issue with my rotator cuff and scapular dyskinesia of my left shoulder. During my worst flare up of 3 months straight prior to coming to SoFlo PT my pain was around an 8-10 even with muscle relaxers, nothing helped. I spent a week with ice on it for 24 hours a day everyday. It kept me up every night, the pain was unbearable. I lost ability to do simple everyday tasks in my left shoulder let alone lift in the gym ,but after just 2 months with SoFlo PT I have complete stability and use of my left shoulder back and absolutely no pain. Thank you so much to Dr Kevin and Ken (shadow student from nova) for helping me with something I thought I would suffer from for the rest of my life. Also thank you to the whole team who made every single session such a fun time with such an amazing atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience here at Soflo. I struggled with elbow pain for about 10 years to find out I had a tear that connected my bicep and forearm. John was my therapist. He is great, took the time to show me exercises, and to understand my injury. Def felt like he took care of me. I’m not completely healed but I also thought I needed surgery. Today I have little to no pain, and it’s for the foundation that John was able to teach me that i am able to prevent future injuries. Their facility is super clean and updated. This will be my rehab center for any future injuries that may occur.

Fantastic experience: An enormous, deep, heart-felt and continuing THANK YOU----combined with FIVE ENTHUSIASTIC GOLD STARS---- to my outstanding physical therapist---DR. ALLISON BLIXT of SoFlo PT. Heres’ my story in a nutshell. I was diagnosed, right after Thanksgiving 2023, with a very rare auto-immune disease called Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), in which my nerves were aggressively attacked by my body’s own immune system. Over the course of several days, I experienced increasing numbness in my feet and hands, lost my balance and ultimately lost my ability to walk at all. I was hospitalized at Holy Cross Hospital and in acute care for 10 days (where I received superb state of the art care). Subsequently, I was admitted to the Holy Cross Hospital 6th floor Intensive Rehab Facility for 2 weeks of daily physical therapy. My experience with the physical and occupational therapists could not have been more positive. While I was enormously improved at the time of my discharge right before Christmas, I definitely needed additional physical therapy to continue regaining strength, balance and endurance. So, when it came to selecting a physical therapist on an outpatient basis, I wanted a partnership with a physical therapist familiar with neurological disorders, as well as a therapist with a fun, engaging personality. Fortunately for me, I didn’t have to look far. My husband had been going to Dr Ally Blixt for an orthopedic/hip issue and was extremely pleased with Ally, the team and the entire facility. After my first session with Ally---focusing on assessment and understanding my current deficits---I knew that Ally and SoFlo PT was the right place for me. My understanding and appreciation of the physical therapy field has grown exponentially as a result of my experience with GBS. Here’s my take-away---physical therapy is hands on physically, and also hands on psychologically. An excellent physical therapist--- like Dr. Ally Blixt ---challenges you physically and progressively to achieve your goals, but simultaneously is sensitive to your emotions and looking for ways to be supportive and motivating. Ally has helped me achieve so many things! For example, I can now get up confidently and independently from laying or kneeling on the floor---without hanging on to anything or anybody. Regaining that level of independence is a huge accomplishment—and ALLY has been central to this achievement. So, thank you again Dr Allison Blixt for being my professional partner, motivator and guide in my recovery.

I truly appreciate you and your team for the work ethic and effort/support you all put in. Today, I’m pain-free, my knee is getting stronger, and your encouragement and guidance greatly help. Syd too! I have had knee pain since the summer and haven’t been able to be active. I had meniscus surgery in October and wasn’t able to get to PT(because of travels) till the end of November; needless to say, my knee was in bad condition with a baker’s cyst so large it was difficult to bend my knee fully. My daughter recommended Dustin at SoFloPT because of her success with him. I LUCKED OUT! About SoFloPT: The ambiance is professional, friendly, and welcoming to everyone there, providing positive energy. The equipment is top-notch, and the place is spotless. Fantastic experience: Where do I begin? The facility has the best equipment and is kept immaculate. The staff is not only extremely knowledgeable but are also welcoming, friendly and down-to-earth. I’ve been working with Dustin on improving back pain, and I feel back to my normal self again without the pain I previously had. Fantastic experience: Alex Samuel and the rest of the team at SoFlo PT are the best in all of South Florida. When I came to see Alex for the first time, I could barely even walk with my two herniated discs. Fast forward to today and I am back in the gym lifting weights. My pain has disappeared and I am living a happy and healthy lifestyle. Alex is patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. He is what every physical therapist should strive to be. He is and absolute professional!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had an amazing experience at SoFloPT. Prior to starting, I had never been to PT, so didn’t know what to expect. At first, I was fearful of my injury getting worse; however, I have had the privilege of working with Dustin, who was sensitive to my fears, but also has challenged me. After many months, my injury is healed and I am stronger than ever. I have enjoyed going each week and feel I can start training for another race. Overall, the care I have received is exceptional. Fantastic experience: Late post but it’s never too late for gratitude. I would like to thank Dr. John and this amazing facility. After a very uncommon surgery, I wasn’t able to straighten my arms. I couldn’t reach, couldn’t tuck in my shirts, couldn’t do plenty of everyday life simple things. After just a couple of PT sessions, I was able to reach for the stars. Sure my arms would tighten up after a few hrs after but I continued my PT sessions 2-3 times per week for a whole month and I was back to my normal self. Went back to work w/o restrictions and I went back to playing softball. I’ve been to other PT facilities and the level of care and professionalism here is phenomenal. Thank you again John.

Fantastic experience: I tore my hamstring 3 years ago and couldn’t run for 3 years. As a former D1 runner, this was a pretty frustrating experience. Alex did a fantastic job getting me back to a point where I could start running again. SoFlo has an A+ team and great facility.

Fantastic experience: I would give 10 starts if I could! I’m a long distance runner and I had lingering pain in my knee. When my doctor suggested PT I thought of your typical PT place and wasn’t thrilled about it. I heard a people talk about SoFlo and figured I’d try it out(even though it’s a bit of a drive from my house.) Long story short, I achieved a 17 minute PR in the half marathon thanks to Dustin! Instead of just telling me what exercises to do, he explained why I’m doing certain exercises and how it will benefit me. Now I feel so strong and confident on my runs, something I couldn’t had said prior to my time at SoFlo. No matter the distance from your house, the commute to SoFlo is worth it for the care, support and encouragement you’ll receive from everyone here!

Fantastic experience: Two months ago, I had a very complicated surgery on my femur and needed intense physical therapy. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Brittany Cortazar at South Florida Physical Therapy (SoFlo). For the last two months she has expertly guided me through a variety of sessions that gradually increased in weight, intensity and endurance. Brittany keeps exact records of every workout, diligently monitors your progress and makes sure that no two workouts are ever the same. She is extremely conscientious and knowledgeable and always concerned about pain level and improvement. Her upbeat personality and empathy make even the tough parts of PT much more manageable, and actually enjoyable. I arrived no weight-bearing on crutches and have progressed from a walker, to cane and now can walk two miles without assistance. In addition, the SoFlo facility run by Dr. Carson Kutuchief is bright and sunny with floor to ceiling windows. It is jam-packed with every kind of equipment that you can imagine and always extremely clean. The staff is very professional from the team answering the phones to the aids assisting the trainers. Scheduling is easy and efficient with text reminders. I highly recommend Brittany and all the staff if you need any kind of physical therapy. Physical therapy can be monotonous, but I would say that this is absolutely not the case at SoFlo.

Fantastic experience: This is the best place to recover from injuries and chronic pain! I have seen so many PT and doctors in the past but no one could help me as my as John helped me! He adjusted my rehab plan so that when I had the worst days we still were able to maintain high-performance training. I advise everyone to reach out to John! Fantastic experience: I had pretty low expectations going in to the PT process because I had so much pain and had previously had an unpleasant experience elsewhere. After 28 sessions with Magic Kevin, with the assistance of Emma and Sydney...and one great session with Alex, I am absolutely stunned at my progress. Kevin is so skilled, smart, kind, funny and possesses an extraordinary upbeat personality...knowing just when to push and when to ease up when I squawked. The facility is beautiful, full of light, music and people who call you by name. I'm very sad that I have to discontinue treatment now since my husband, Hans Isbrandtsen who had the same positive experience, and I have to leave for CT! We will highly recommend SoFlo to everyone we know who needs PT! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: SoFlo is the premiere physical therapy clinic in Fort Lauderdale. I have been going for a little over two years and Doctor Carson has made me pain free in both my back and shoulder. Would highly recommend this clinic if you’re looking for top level care. Fantastic experience: Alex was my PT for about 8 weeks and I enjoyed every second of it. The team surrounding SoFloPT are super nice and friendly making the experience that much better. Alex was a great listener when it came to my rehab and would often explain the reason why we would do specific exercises and why some exercises were better than others. I really appreciated the experience and I’ll definitely be coming back for any issues in the future.

I worked with Alex, who was super knowledgeable, and really good at customizing my rehab program. I was there to rehab my knee after ACL reconstruction. Really professional staff, 1-on-1 attention and really dedicated doctors to get me ready back in the game as fast as possible and at a 100%. Fantastic experience: I walked into SoFlo with a neck injury that kept me from doing pretty much everything without pain. I had basically no range of motion on my neck and left shoulder. I was so sad, so defeated, super anxious and honestly could not have imagined how incredible, enjoyable and powerful my journey to recovery would be. I felt better THE MOMENT I stepped foot into this place and looked forward to every single session and after two months I am and feel even stronger than before the injury. Dr. Natalie, my PT, created a custom plan to get me back on my feet & walking again, after right ankle fracture surgery. From direct massaging of the ankle, to reduce stiffness, to targeted exercises for muscles to help with conditioning, balance & gait. Dr Natalie diligently encouraged me to overcome my fears, so that I can now walk unassisted & am about to drive again. Thanks Dr Natalie you are a gem!

Fantastic experience: Spent the last month in Florida working with Brittany at Soflo pt. I had a tibial plateau fracture last December and had difficulty walking any distance without pain, swelling and a limp. I also was unable to fully straighten my leg. The facility is sparkling clean and filled with professionals that are focused on your healing and health goals. My flexibility and muscle strength increased and my limp is less obvious. I was given daily exercises to work on before continuing with my PT in NY. Working with Brittany was amazing experience and I highly recommend her and SOFLO PT.

Fantastic experience: Firstly: This is a great place and team! Secondly: I'm not one to write reviews, I felt this was needed I started with Soflo Pt back in 2019, for a right knee issue, (I have had issues for over 10 years, ie: hypermobility in all my joints from the waist down as well as a knee caps that refuse to stay put) I had a good therapist, yet I didn't think we were a good fit for each other. For me a good therapist takes the time to understand that my body works differently. I have a lot instability that is not able to be fixed just by strengthening and stretching. My previous treatment was being done by the book and not for what my body needed. I know that they did their best, we just didn't work, and that's okay. I am now back for both knees and now mainly my left. First round was my lower back and mostly my right knee. This round I have been paired up with Dustin and John. This has been a huge difference, this time Dustin and John have made it a point to really try to understand how my body works. Every week I come back in and give updates and I can see how they put thought into trying to make my everyday better. This means a lot to me as I struggle to have anyone try to understand enough to help me. This experience has been a fun educational, and supportive. Dustin's attention to detail is impeccable. John is a breath of fresh air when the pain is too much. I look forward to going when I am not feeling my best to see what ideas we all come up with to keep moving forward. It is a true partnership. I am currently being treated, and look forward to continuing my treatment. I hope this helps if you are looking for a new Physical Therapy place.

Fantastic experience: I am completely satisfied with the exceptional customer care, outstanding knowledge and performance of my physical therapist, Dr Kevin Hohmann and his team at SoFlo Physical Therapy (a special shoutout to Emma!) He has helped me considerably with my treatment program, explaining thoroughly why my problem existed and has been very diligent in guiding my recovery. I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and was in excruciating sciatica pain. I couldn’t sleep and I had to cut back on many of my usual daily activities including adjusting my social calendar hoping to get better. I tried endless homeopathic remedies but continued to ache. The pain was so intense that I passed out once. I was able to quickly schedule a consultation at SoFlo Physical Theraphy; the receptionists were pleasant and welcoming; the paperwork minimal and simple to complete. The atmosphere is casual, cheery, well-lit, clean and modern. During my first visit with Kevin, he spent about 45 mins thoroughly examining and talking with me about my health history, injury and pain management, recovery goals and timelines. He demonstrated personal interest, in-depth knowledge, and complete understanding of my condition. Before I left that first day, he suggested and showed me exercises that I should do at home to be comfortable and find relief until my therapy would formally start. The next visit I started the physical therapy program he customized for me. I was never left unattended; Kevin and his team was invested in my recovery and worked to keep me on track. Someone was always available to monitor my form, correcting and adjusting my position, movement and speed as needed. At the same time, their presence was never overbearing. I felt improvement and the pain lessen with each session. My questions were answered in a manner that was easy to follow and understand. This helped me approach each exercise with a deeper understanding of what was to be accomplished and how to optimize the process. The attentiveness and caring I received was extremely comforting. A big part of my recovery was the supportive environment and dedicated staff with a "you can do it!" attitude. I hope this feedback adequately conveys my appreciation to the SoFlo PT Team. I enjoy working with their young, dynamic team. High energy, knowledgeable doctors. In 2020 after my knee surgery my therapist was Dr. Carson. He help me advanced in my therapy. Few months ago I had a shoulder injury and my doctor recommended PT. I immediately contact SoFlo therapy again. My therapist was Dr. Jaclyn. She was great, knowledgeable and thorough with my therapy. I actually looked forward to my sessions. They make PT fun and enjoyable. Modern equipment and approach helps.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to share my experience with SOFL physical therapy. I had neck surgery in July due to years of chronic neck pain. I was assigned to Kevin who had initially helped me with light stretching and slowly over the course of my therapy helped me build muscle and strength in my neck. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and an excellent therapist! I'm currently working with Britt On help with my lower back pain and stabilizing my core. She is also amazing and patient, knowledgeable when it comes to to maximize results. equipment is new and modern. The place is amazing the staff are friendly so I highly recommend using them if you need physical therapy.

I recently started going there for physical therapy after having surgery for a rotator cuff and bicep tendon tear, Kevin is my physical therapist and just happens to be a Doctor as well. Kevin is amazing. He takes the time to listen to you about your concerns and then addresses each one . He explains what is going on with your injury and then the plan you and he are going to do to get you strong, healthy and active again. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the techs who help the therapists are extremely helpful, attentive and kind. It makes coming here a breeze and something to look forward to. My PT Namiko is amazing! Very knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. She creates an effective exercise plan, adjusts as we go along to make sure we’re making as much progress as possible. Fantastic experience: Dr. Hannah Switzfer is AMAZING! I was extreme shoulder pain that was stopping me from lifting and being able to coach to my full ability. After a few months of working with Dr. Hannah, my shoulder pain was completely! She was also able to wake up all my back muscles which improved my pull up game and she grew my back 2 sizes! She’s the best. Go see her!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to SoFlo for several months for a shoulder issue. Alex is awesome and very knowledgeable. He does a great job of utilizing manual therapy, along with exercises that not only resolve the problem but he also utilizes strength training to avoid the issue again. Fantastic experience: After 2 previous experiences at PT facilities with no positive solution to my pain and weakness, I was fortunate to be recommended to Jackyn at SoFlo PT by a friend. I had been limping and hurting for a very long time and now, after 5 weeks with Jaclyn I am 95% pain free and able to continue the program at home so I can remain healthy.
