At Clear Choice Physical Therapy, we understand that the thought of going through surgery rehabilitation can be intimidating. It can be even more discouraging if the results are not as fast or successful as expected. We are here to help you through this process.
I have an arthritic knee that was so severe it was causing me difficulty sleeping. My doctor recommended physical therapy, and my wife referred me to Erik Bleeker, who had also received treatment from him.
For the past three years, I have been receiving treatment from Erik. As a result, I am now able to play tennis two or three times a week and lift up to 110 pounds with my 'bad' knee, which was only 30 pounds before I began seeing Erik. My physical ability for an 88-year-old is remarkable and I am able to sleep through the night and work 6 or 7 days a week.
Erik is very educated in his field, having obtained multiple degrees from the University of Florida. His skill and commitment to his job have been priceless to me, as he is both knowledgeable and caring, and has significantly improved my quality of life.
I met Erik when I was researching Clear Choice. He was very helpful in answering all my questions and providing me with the information I needed to make an informed decision. He was also very patient and understanding of my situation. I felt comfortable and confident in my choice to go with Clear Choice and Erik was a big part of that.
Erik was sympathetic to my situation, but he also made it clear that the recovery process would be challenging since I had not had much therapy prior to that. After the progress he made with me during the initial visit, I was convinced. Thanks to his treatment, I was soon able to go back to my normal life.
Erik is very knowledgeable and stands out for the amount of time he spends with his patients. His patience and dedication are rare. I really felt that he was looking out for my best interests.
I am 73 years old and have had Type 1 Diabetes for 61 years. This has caused me to suffer from neuropathy. I was advised to find a physical therapist, which I have done for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, none of the therapists I have seen have been as helpful as Erik.
Erik introduced me to Ankle-Foot-Orthotics, which have allowed me to walk in a more upright position and for longer periods of time. When I first started working with Erik, I was unable to stand up from a chair that was 21-22 inches high without using my arms unless there was a 3-4 inch cushion on the seat; now I am able to do so twenty-four times without any cushion. I am even able to take steps backwards, something I was unable to do before I began working with Erik.
Once my insurance had covered the cost of my sessions with Erik, I decided to continue seeing him, paying for the extra visits myself.
As your physical therapist, we can help you regain your mobility, both literally and figuratively. We will create a personalized treatment plan for you and you will work with the same therapist for the entire duration of your therapy sessions.
Having overcome my own struggles with chronic pain, I understand the frustration of not being able to do the things you love. I strive to help my patients reach their goals by providing them with the best possible physical therapy.
In most cases, your treatment will be covered by insurance. We accept various auto accident, personal injury and health insurance plans, including Medicare. We recommend that you contact us directly so that we can determine your exact coverage. Our Office Manager will help you make the most of any insurance that may be applicable to your situation (e.g., medical, auto, etc.). In Florida, you do not need a doctor's prescription to access physical therapy services directly. If your treatment requires more than 30 days, the physical therapist will refer you to a doctor.
You will be evaluated by a certified and experienced physical therapist who will also provide treatment during future visits. We believe it is important to form a personal relationship with you to ensure your care is consistent. Your physical therapist will become familiar with your issues and will be working closely with you.
In 2018, Congress removed the limits on the amount of money Medicare would pay for physical therapy services in one year (commonly referred to as "therapy caps" or "therapy cap limits"). This was done in recognition of the fact that treatment can often help elderly people remain independent and remain in their own homes instead of going to a nursing home or other long-term care facility. As long as the treatment is medically necessary, Medicare will continue to cover the cost of services.

Fantastic experience: Erik creates miracles. My first knee replacement was a breeze but I had complications with my second knee replacement. He diagnosed the issue when neither my surgeon nor a neurologist could. He was extremely patient but pushed me to do the things I needed to do and wanted to be able to do again. I faithfully did the exercises he gave me as homework. It took a few months but I was soon able to walk and return to the gym. I attribute my recovery to Erik’s expertise and balance between patience and pushing.

Fantastic experience: It’s not easy to find a good and safe place when it comes to medical care, especially physical therapy. However, I found Clear Choice therapy is the one that I have been looking for, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs help. Fantastic experience: It is extremely difficult to find a therapist that you not only like, but can trust to have your best interests at heart. With CCPT you have that with the entire staff from the moment you walk in. It's like a family ( the one's you want to see ). I have had the opportunity to utilize the services of CCPT for more than one injury ( my hobby is getting hurt ). Each time they explain what the plan is AND make sure you understand the plan. Fantastic experience: My vertigo episodes are extremely debilitating. I called on a Thursday morning and was able to get an appointment later that same day. I was treated 3x in one session and felt 80% better. I woke the next morning with more major vertigo symptoms. I called and they once again gave me an appt that same day! the staff is gracious, understanding, and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back to them again, if necessary. I recommend them to anyone needed physical or occupational therapy services, or any kind of vertigo treatment.

Fantastic experience: The first time I got vertigo I called 911. I didn't know what was happening .I was sure I was having some sort of brain issue. I have been on that Vertigo Island by myself for 13 years now. Everything I learned, the maneuvers and exercises, was from You Tube. I am sure I was doing the wrong thing at times. It would go on for weeks and months. ENT Drs. don't want to deal with it. Last week when I woke with it, I just couldn't do it by myself any longer. I googled vertigo PT in my area and Clear Choice showed up. Eric's name showed up as having helped people with vertigo. He was kind enough to take me the next day and he fixed me that day! I will no longer be on this island alone. He was very professional.I am happy to have found him.

Fantastic experience: After being diagnosed with thoracic outlet and having an unsuccessful surgery I visited clear choice as my last resort to physical therapy. Fantastic experience: Erik did my evaluation and his level of knowledge and understanding the complexity of my treatment was obvious. He is an outstanding st both analyzing the situation and explaining both the treatment and underlying problems. Fiorella then saw me for treatment but checked back with Erik so you understood it was a team approach. Fiorella know just what to do in the sessions and is able to explain what muscles are involved and what I need to practice with professionalism and clarity. Fantastic experience: I had vertigo on and off for three years and suffered quietly. My recent episodes became more frequent and I felt something was very wrong. Honestly, I was scared but embarrassed too to ask for help. I’m 57 and otherwise very healthy and active. My google search took me to Clear Choice—thank God for Google and ERIC BLEEKER!! Eric calmly guided me through a maneuver I had heard about but didn’t want to try myself. Inside of 10 minutes, Eric did a physical exam and diagnosed my problem. He was very professional. (Even when I grabbed his entire arm to hold on when I had a vertigo attack in his office!) Eric made me feel confident and at ease. Fantastic experience: I met Erik by accident several years ago in a restaurant when I was going to a hospital for PT. I started talking to him and then went to see him and cancelled ALL my future PT appointments at the hospital. This is now the third time I am going to Erik. He is better than the zipper. I am like humpty dumpty and between the falls and knee replacements Eric has been wonderful. He is patient, kind and most important knows what he is doing. If you don't use Erik you will be doing yourself and your body a dis-service.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a weird arm injury. I had no range of motion, I could not even shut my car door. Eric worked me though it. And after a few short sessions he was able to get my arm mobile again. He listened to my pain needs, worked with me and help me recover. He also did not take advantage of me when it comes to extra sessions. He got the job done as fast as he could, and very professional! I will use him again and recommend him to others. 5 starts!

Fantastic experience: Suffering from extreme vertigo, I couldn’t keep anything down and had gone to ER for dehydration. The doctor at Clear Choice preformed the Ellet maneuver and by the next day the vertigo was gone. I would recommend getting this treatment as soon as the first symptoms appear.

Fantastic experience: Erik Bleeker is fantastic -- after the first visit you will KNOW that he is treating you and only what you need -- he does NOT do the same treatments to everyone like some therapists do; he asks questions and figures out what YOU need and the therapy works !!

Fantastic experience: I cannot more highly recommend any physical therapy provider over Erik at Clear Choice. Before I found him I ended up at the large physical therapy facility associated with my orthopedic doctors group and I was so dismayed and disappointed. Apparently their plan is, even though I had a very long course of physical therapy ahead of me, there was no assurance that I would see any one physical therapist on a consistent basis. It would just be random based on whatever appointment availability they had. The first time I went the young guy that saw me just reached out and grabbed my arm and I’m like why are you touching me? I was freaked out because I was seriously injured and the guy was grabbing me without even saying I’m going to touch you or any introduction! It was such an awful experience. And at the desk they were rude abrupt and unaccommodating. Fortunately, I just lucked upon ClearChoice looking on the Internet and Erik had astounding reviews. As it turns out: Well deserved! Unfortunately for me I needed to see him for my broken shoulder in the summer and the fall of 2021, and now I am seeing him for my knee replacement. He’s a really nice guy and he obviously knows what he’s doing - and even though PT is sometimes painful because that is the nature of the physical therapy to rehabilitate my injuries, he’s sensitive, kind and empathetic. He’s the best. PS I got the best range of motion restored in my shattered shoulder possible, Im 71, and I’d say I have 95%, and I feel quite confident the same will be true of my knee. I feel so lucky to have found Clear Choice PT.

Fantastic experience: If you have vertigo, Erik Bleeker is the person to see! For me, it started in yoga with downward dog and then when I turned my head to one side in bed, I felt dizzy and nauseous. My primary (and Google) diagnosed benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Doctor said it would eventually go away. After three miserable weeks, a friend suggested I try this physical therapist at Clear Choice who had fixed his friend’s vertigo. And just like that, one visit to Erik and it was gone! So grateful for the recommendation. Erik is very knowledgeable, gentle and explains clearly what to expect. Would definitely return to Erik if needed.

Fantastic experience: I went to Clear Choice Physical Therapy for a flexibility evaluation. Having dealt with other physical therapists, I thought Eric demonstrated a lot of knowledge and ability in checking my flexibility. He gave me some exercises to do and I feel that I am already benefiting from following his exercise advice. I would highly recommend Clear Choice Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: I would add 5 more stars for a 10! Erik is incredible. I recently had hip replacement with a complication which was restricting my range of motion. His technique and persistence has given me an unbelievable result. My surgeon was shocked at my results. I owe it all to Erik. He is an Angel.

Fantastic experience: My very first day was impressive. Not only was Erik Bleeker a good therapist but he explained the science behind what exercises he was having me do. Fantastic experience: After fracturing and spraining my ankle months ago, I first walked into his office limping from pain. Fantastic experience: I first saw Eric Bleeker for issues with my neck over two years ago. He fixed the problem and taught me exercises to prevent further occurrences. Recently one of my knees has caused me problems from arthritis, and other than just take meds from now on, I decided to go back to Eric. He is working on eliminating the pain and strengthening surrounding muscles. So far, so good. I believe firmly in physical therapy because I have had great experiences in the past, and working with Eric at Clear Choice Physical Therapy is no different.

Fantastic experience: I interviewed several other PT facilities so glad I found Erik Bleeker at Clear Choice Physical Therapy! Recovering from Hip replacement Erik has given me one on one PT for an hour each visit! I had no idea what to expect cannot believe how much better I’m doing in just four visits! Erik truly knows his expertise and explains what’s going on with my recovery. I’m so looking forward to achieving full flexibility and full use of my new hip with Erik’s help! Another very important thing the facility is extremely friendly, clean and very organized! A huge plus for anyone trying to recover from surgery!

Fantastic experience: Eleven weeks post full knee replacement. After five visits to Clear Choice I have a great deal more flexibility and much more strength in my knee. I wish I was staying longer on Fort Lauderdale. Highly recommend Eric.

Fantastic experience: I'm giving Clear Choice 5 stars because the Physical Therapist Eric has in just a few sessions proven that he knows exactly what to do for my sprained rotator cuff and accompanying muscle issues. Fantastic experience: Erik is outstanding in his explanations of the mechanics of the body (how the body works and repairs upon trauma, sudden or chronic) and then in the application of the physical therapy. I had persistent shoulder pain from a past injury that he treated. It had been bothering me for a couple of years and with his office therapy and the home exercises he gave me, the issue resolved and now there is no longer an issue. Watching, listening and learning, he has created a trust in me that will bring me back whenever necessary.

Fantastic experience: Share review Embed review 10/8/2020 I have used Clear Choice Physical Therapy twice after two different doctors strongly recommended that I go to two different hospital physical therapy centers. I went and was shuttled among a number of therapists who were more interested in talking among themselves about their weekend plans than in helping me. Erik, on the other hand, exclusively devotes all his time and attention on one patient at a time. Not only that, but he is truly knowledgeable about the body and excellent at physically manipulating just the right areas that need help. He really cares about his patient's needs because he is a caring individual and he also realizes that a satisfied patient will return if necessary and will recommend Erik to his friends.
