The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center - Ft.Lauderdale

Negative experience: Dreadful dreadful ,purchased a nice complete set of sunglasses but broken on reception, outer box is fine this was spite,malice,a joke,?I am poorer for useing this place

Negative experience: Very unprofessional staff workers there. The guy that does the intake is very rude and had a condescending attitude. I didn't even read the chance to enter the program because he was yelling at me for not properly filling out the application while rolling his eyes in frustration. Then proceeded to kick me out and told me to find another rehabilitation facility. I do not recommend this place for anyone who genuinely wants to get help.

Positive experience: this is the most expensive thrift store there is anywhere. I can go to good will and buy three times the shirts shorts pants you name it all good name brands for .99 to 3 dollars on any day and here at half off the prices are more than anywhere I have seen gym shorts priced at 6.99 at walmart everyday all day gym shorts can be found new with tags for $4 to $7 dollars and t shirts five shirts 7 dollars new pants kmart and walmart 9.99 S A is sometimes more than ten for donated items. I am trying to raise 5 girls and 5 boys and I can not afford to by clothes here I also can not afford the furniture and I have been in need of a new bed I can buy new at ikea for way less They need to get new management or just wake up so we can afford to shop we being the working class American trying to make ends meet without assistance from the government or charities Thank You

Fantastic experience: I was at the Salvation Army Rehab Adult Center for 5 months and a week. My time to graduate was very near. This time around I will do what I need to do as far as my Work thoerpy assignment. I love working with the salvation army. I also will be working on my attitude and my mouth. Mind my business. Keep a clean shave. I know I can better myself here I am ready to come back and give it another try.

Fantastic experience: I came to this place October 19th of 2021, I had my doubts that it would help me but let me say I am sober still I have regained sobriety most importantly my relationship with God. They have great staff as well as opportunities that would be ridiculous to pass up

Fantastic experience: The Salvation saved my life, I've been here more then once, and decided it was to time to take full advantage of the program and what the Salvation Army offers, I received my forklift certification, I graduated the 6 month program, and I'm now an employee. This place is what you make it, I found myself, my relationship with God has grown tremendously and I'm proud to say that I'm clean today, because I choose to be. Everything is a result of our choices,make the right one. God bless

Fantastic experience: The place completely did me wrong!! I graduated from their so called program, was looking for employment, and was abruptly asked to leave, put out on the streets of Ft. Lauderdale !!! The place is definitely a Racket!

Fantastic experience: Absolute amazing facility. This place has changed my life for the better. If you’re struggling with substances or alcohol, get admitted and work the program. Counseling is provided and they’re very professional. Church service is every Sunday morning and the word is always inspiring. It is a work therapy program so you’ll have a job responsibility. 5/5 God is good all the time And all the time, God is good. WOOT! There it is!!!

Negative experience: You turned me away for the second time today. I should ask for reimbursement. What you did today was totally not Christ like. Christ would NEVER turn anyone away. The Father in Heaven will soon expose your phony works in His name. How do you run a rehab program and expect addicts to have their lives and behavior at 100% ? You all are a joke.

Positive experience: This place saved my life! The program here is great. They have counseling, inside and outside meetings nice positive atmosphere You do work 40hrs a week that pays for room and board. When it's time to relax there is a gym, 3 big tv's and two pool tables. If you are looking to change your life this is the place to be!

Negative experience: Called this place on on 05/08/17 for someone to stop by my condo on 05/13/17 to check out a mattress, in excellent condition mind you, and see if they wanted to take it give it to someone in need. Made the appointment, got a call on 05/12/17 to confirm rhe appointment, they tell me I can call the day of to check the ETA. I call at 10:00 a.m. today to be told the pick-up may occur between 11 a.m.-3 p.m. I call at 2 p.m. and I'm told that they're not sure when the driver is going to stop by but that it is definitely happening today. Got a call at 3:30ish p.m. only to be given some excuse (sounded like the guy just came up with some off-the-cuff lame excuse with a feigned apologetic tone) as to why they won't be stopping by today. I WASTED A WHOLE DAY WAITING ON AN INCONSIDERATE GROUP OF PEOPLE. Don't waste your time donating to people who clearly could care less abou your time and willingness to want to help others...

Negative experience: It is an expensive thrift store and to think I used to donate to this store not anymore

Negative experience: Don't lose your time or your money! It's a very expensive thrift store for the mess... Don't try to talk with the manager, it's very impolite. If you suffer for allergy, prepare all your medications. Not a clean place.
