Negative experience: This place was horrible . Roaches everywhere . I would have starved to death if not for door dash . 3 times there was no night nurse at all . I watched an employee go threw my roommates belongings after he got sent to the hospital . My meds were never ordered on time . I was without them for 2 days at one point. When I left they cut me off all of my meds so I was out until I saw my personal care physician. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Heard staff members get in physical fights In the middle of the night worst experience of my life this place should be shut down

Positive experience: Horrible!

Negative experience: Unprofessional and gross. I wouldn't even let my cat stay here. Staff are rude and snobby. There are roaches that crawl everywhere and on you while you sleep. Bathrooms are gross.

Negative experience: My mother was taken here a week ago and her experience has been terrible. At night she will turn on the nurse light and no one will come for hours. She was left to lay in a dirty diaper for 4 hours. Tonight she is sleeping on a bed with no sheets. They sometimes forget to turn on her medication medicine and they also refuse to give her the other medicine she needs for her blood infection that she was getting at the hospital. I tried calling tonight and someone answered but she needed to transfer me to someone else. I waited on hold for 20 minutes until I gave up. I will be moving her to somewhere else as soon as I can.

Fantastic experience: Kudos to Isabella in admissions!! She went above and beyond to help me and my mother in a difficult situation.

Negative experience: Legitimately curious if this place has ever read a regulatory manual or statement in the history of its existence because you can't bribe or ask or bully or have active staff or those affiliated with a business review it, it's called a conflict of interest and all of these reviews will be taken down by Google ‍♂️ also, idk why anyone working here is acting like how patients get neglected and abused is ok OR how staff goes consecutive 16 hour shifts without lunch breaks. It's not possible any of that got rectified in the amount of time you've fraudulently thrown up a bunch of fake positive reviews all within the span of 2 or so days of each other. That's really obviously happened due to pressure or influence from the company that level of manipulation to get people to give you there sick family to make money off of should keep you up at night.

Fantastic experience: GAINESVILLE HEALTH AND REHAB IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO GET YOU'RE HEALING MS ISABELLA IS A SUCH A WARM AND UNDERSTANDING PERSON SHE MAKES THE PLACE FEELS LIKE EVERYBODY IS FAMILY NO MATTER WHEN YOU CAME SHE TREATS EVERYBODY THE SAME AND THAT IS WITH ALOT OF LOVE AND RESPECT I WOULD GLADLY RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO YOUR FAMILY FOR LONG TERM CARE OR JUST FOR REHAB THE OVERALL STAFF IS AWSOME

Negative experience: I have been here 3 hrs now, I have not seen my nurse! I was denied food that I ordered and paid for! No one answers call bells or the phone! I'm a paraplegic and can't just get up and go. Oh and my cnas name is John doe!

Negative experience: These people are ththeives they took my clothes and money while I was in the hospital. Smh horrible. My roommate saw it all and called me..

Fantastic experience: The staff at the rehab was kind and helpful some went a extra mile id like to mention her name Isabel in admissions and mase sure she answered all my questions and was always kind doing so and nurse Tiffany was helpful on the floor made sure I got my meds these ladies are one of a kind

Negative experience: The communication is awful! The administration all time is in a meeting and they don't answer back

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t be more pleased with how far Gainesville Health and rehab has come, from the nursing staff to the new Administrator, everyone is so friendly and welcoming when coming there. Great Job Gainesville Health and rehab on all the wonderful changes that are happening there.

Fantastic experience: The admissions team at Gainesville health and rehab is phenomenal the Isabelle is wonderful she does an awesome job welcoming new residents and the residents that are re entering she goes above and beyond her regular duties.

Negative experience: This place is a joke my gf been here a week they still haven't gave here a shower. Nor does she have stuff to shower with. Took them 4 days to get her medication after coming from hospital from a brain biopsy. Shunt placement. And 3 holes drilled in her head. Also she gets nauseous and sometimes gets sick and takes them hours to clean. It up. Everytime you ask them for something they say ok we will be right there or get that for u and hours go by and have to ask again. And wait even longer.

Negative experience: My sister is in this facility and it is horrible. We are waiting on the insurance to approve for her to get transferred.. in the mean time I’m getting text messages from her stating.. I’m going to die in here.. they’re treating me horribly and they’re not changing her and bathing her like they should. This place should be shut down and charged should be pressed against all employees. It’s filthy, the food is disgusting and it looks nothing like the pictures on line!

Negative experience: This place should be a setting for a horror saga. The long term patients call all night long with little response, they aren’t educated on their own level of care, most of the staff are temporary, and the permanent ones only cover their own jobs. My wife had a serious infection in her spine and they didn’t give care or antibiotics for 4 days. Then when they finally received the antibiotics, they did not know how to utilize the machine to administer them. Thankfully I am certified so I was able to train the ones I came in contact with. Then she caught a severe UTI because they left her in a soiled bedpan for 6+ hours. The staff allowed me to stay overnight for her personal care for a week and a half, then a new “nurse “ caused me to have to leave every night; assuring me that she was in good hands. The same night, same thing happened. I then would not leave until proper care was given and medication properly administered. They then dropped it on the floor, and thought it was a good idea to pick it up and give them to her. I expressed my concerns and in response the police were called on me. While they were talking to me, 4 more patients had put in abuse complaints. In one week, 8 patients transferred themselves to another facility. If you have compassion for your family, refuse treatment from here with extreme prejudice. They will not be cared for, only “a filled bed”. And for the FEW people that actually care for their job, and showed my wife compassion and support, THANK YOU SO MUCH. This place doesn’t deserve golden hearts such as yours. **I HAVE CONTACTED AHCA, but they will only take things seriously with more complaints. Not only for your loved one, but for the ones that can’t, SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. You won’t know it, but you will save a life.**

Negative experience: This place needs to be shut down. I witnessed My first two nights their staff loudly cursing patients on night shift. My first 36 hours there I was told there wasn’t a bedpan available for me. They were often short of supplies. I received a potty chair with no bucket until a few days later. Turning your call light on was a joke. It was normal to wait an hour to two hours and 20 minutes to get pain meds or your brief changed. The worst part was twice my medications were switched with my roommate’s medication. Not once but twice! Thank God I got out of there.

Fantastic experience: This is a warm welcoming facility with great opportunities for success and award winning customer service. The activities department allows for engagement among all the staff and residents so that we get to have fun and make memories while caring for our residents here at Gainesville Health and Rehab.

Fantastic experience: A few weeks ago , a customer of mine was asking where Michelle Goldstein has been working ,which she knew of Michelle's expertise in this field and as a community liason,my customer found out that Michelle is working in Gainesville, which my customer adores that area. So my customer recently had knee surgery, and she needed a great rehab center. Michelle was able to her set of very quickly and help her with the transition. The staff was very pleasant and she was able to get through rehab and return home quickly. My customer will definitely use Gainesville health and rehab services again and she will refer anyone else that is needing rehab

Positive experience: Bryant Sooy is the current administrator of this center. I am very pleased with his response to my requests for conferences to plan for my mother's increased level of care. Mr. Sooy listens attentively, expresses empathy in tone, language and manner and works diligently with staff for changes to take effect. Mr. Sooy responds with reassurances that he oversees not only administrative, but clinical duties as well. My mother has been a resident for the past 15 months. Initially independent she now requires close supervision because she is incontinent, suffers much pain when transferring and spills food when eating. She makes valiant efforts to be independent But her body is very tired. I am grateful to Mr Sooy for lessening my mother's suffering and her stress as well as mine. She has partial dementia so she still has some lucidity and often perceives accurately.

Negative experience: 0 Stars :( My father was moved to this facility after experiencing a stroke while undergoing DBS surgery. After 3 weeks we had him transfer back to the VA because of neglect. 75% of the staff is rude. Including front desk. The director was rude and insulting. The director of nursing is cold and rude. Most don't wear PPE or worn incorrectly(nose exposed). Dirty. Smells like feces. The room was not cleaned before moved in. The blinds/wall had food on it. The tray table was disgusting. He said that nightshift yells at him and the other residents. No one would give him a shower. When they finally did he was dropped four times. He weighs 150lbs. I had to groom him, clip nails, cut his hair and facial hair. They wouldn't provide him a sling. I provided one. It took a week to find him a proper wheel chair. The PT is a joke. They put him in the wheel chair and left him there for hours. The food was ok. The kitchen struggled to accommodate his diabetes. Sugar, sugar based drinks, pudding, and jello where on his tray. If you are looking for a place that is going to neglect your family member than this is the place for you. Otherwise I do not recommend.

Negative experience: If I could give this facility a zero I would. Very unprofessional staff. They do not know how to deal with dementia patients or communicate. I filed a complaint with the state.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and friendly staff. My mother needed to be in rehab for a month or so and this place was wonderful. They took great care of her and treated us so well! Thank you all for your kindness!

Negative experience: This place gets no stars from me.. My mom went in to get rehab from a stroke she had back in May. Since she has been there they have done nothing for her.. No rehab . This is far past Unacceptable.. Not happy with this place at all.

Negative experience: This place use to be decent once upon a time but like fairytales all good things must come to a end. The new crew which switches like I change my undies are, well if you don't have anything nice to say you don't say anything at all. At this point it will take Jesus himself to cure and clean this place of the lack of.

Negative experience: The place is unorganized and the name just changed from signature to Orchid Cove . My mom was a patient here and due to the neglect from the staff she just recently passed away . The CNA’s are mostly hired by the agency . The front desk staff is rude and the social service department never knows what’s going on and please don’t get me started on the Director of nursing and her assistant this place is a joke!
