Fantastic experience: I entertain at different Senior Citizen places. Of all the one Palm Garden, in Gainesville and Ocala Are the best. I worked in both for years and I have no complaint about anything. It’s always clean and the clients are treated well. if the day should come when I need to go into one of these facility, Palm Garden will be my first pick.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time visiting my grandma at this facility. Check in was nice and easy. All of the staff were really nice. The facility was really clean. I am so glad my grandma is finally at a good senior house.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to wait until I was closer to 1 year of being at palm gardens and am about 1 month shy of my one years anniversary. Every facility has its issues and flaws and ofcourse staffing issues however I've found the issues aren't heavily sever and administration definitely seems to put in the work to get us proper staffing. Yes it isn't perfect but no where is perfect. I think I have definitely found a facility I love working for though and an amazing night shift family.

Negative experience: Food is terrible, the staff try's hard to make your stay pleasant however the people in charge only are interested in how long they can keep you. You cannot get information about you stay and questions are just ignored or you are lied to. The plams garden is not a place to send your loved ones.

Fantastic experience: My father was at the end and we brought him to palm garden. We were treated with dignity and respect at all times. As we were there I witnessed the staff treating all of the patients the same way. When my father passed and they came to get him the staff closed all the patients rooms as to give us privacy as we walked him out and to not cause stress on the patients that were there. Positive experience: My Aunt is a patient there she complains about the food and seen to be hungry every time I do have a chance to visit. For what she pays for private care is ridiculous. She shares a room as well as a phone line. If they are looking at the television they disturbs each other because there isn’t a way to have the sound privately. She is scared to complain about the care she realizes it’s because of the Facility being short staffed.I can’t always be there to check up on her like I would like but do what I can. Her clothes are always missing that we buy for her even by adding her name and room number.

Negative experience: The reviews are Forced For visitors & New Employees. They Only care about the Residents who Have Private Pay. DO NOT send your Family here. Residents aren’t properly cared for. They neglect their employees and talk to them like trash. Could be a lovely facility if equality was showed to EVERYONE.

Positive experience: My mom was there for Rehab post hip surgery and the rehab staff were all great in her recovery time there! But the lack of attention at the personal care level was at best a 2 star rating! That was definitely the most uncaring and disinterested in the care of patients that I have ever encountered! Skilled nursing care was better, but I just couldn’t see that there were enough nurses at that level, which could have really enhanced the caregiving to the patient’s recovering at this facility! Mom said that the food was excellent and she complemented the cooks in the kitchen for that herself ‼️ I do thank you all and pray you take better care of your families than you did at work! Those are my thoughts and concerns on the personal level of care and professionally speaking as a retired RN❤️

Negative experience: One of the worst facilities to work as a CNA. Your family members would be better off doing in home care than taking them to this run down facility. Residents complain about the TVs not working and aides not showing care or compassion. They are always short staffed and only care about the money. I would go to any other facility, but this one. There are also multiple DCF cases open, so beware.

Fantastic experience: The administrative and clinical staff of Palm Gardens has been extremely accommodating and easy to work with. Having a loved one in a facility for short or long term care is not easy, and nothing is ever perfect. But what I can say about PG is they're always willing to hear you out and work with you. Renda, the director of nursing, has been awesome; she makes herself readily available to discuss any issues going on and she personally addresses things and works with her staff to find solutions to challenges that arise. She's never more than a phone call away and takes a very human approach to an industry that's full of facilities/DONs who treat their patients like cattle. After a care plan meeting today, I also found all of the other heads-of-department to be very open and easy going and I felt like they were really listening and wanted to make things work as best as possible for my mother in law. Most of all, we haven't ever felt pressured by PG in a way that hospitals and other facilities make you feel when it comes to having to make a decision about something that requires a lot of consideration. If you're facing a difficult time and want a facility that is local and is going to do their best for you, PG is where its at.

Negative experience: I wish I had somewhere else to move my severely demented grandmother! She has been a patient there for years and I'm struggling lately to get her to have clean linen (made up bed with dirty stained lined), I can't get her to have cold water let alone it be in her reach, filthy wheelchair just to name a few. I have spoke with the DON multiple times, asked the administrator to call me about a non nursing issues only to have to DON call and say she will speak to the admin about it. I know I'm looked at as "that family member" but sometimes you have to be to get basic care. I have filled out paperwork and the DON will not call me until to 7th day, which is the requirement, to call and follow up and never asks questions about the incident.

Fantastic experience: This review is for the rehab portion of Palm Garden. My wife has been admitted twice to rehab, and each time she received outstanding care. The facility is spotless, secure and has friendly and knowledgeable personnel. The rehab facility has two gyms which have an outstanding team of therapists with all the latest equipment. I highly recommend it.

Positive experience: My mother spent her last 2.5 months at PGs. Her overall care was very good and most of the associates were very caring particularly one of her nurses, Judy. Like most of the world in these post Covid times, they seemed a little understaffed, but tried hard to tend to folks in a timely manner in this difficult environment. Overall administrative staff was very good and accommodating. Thought rehab staff was excellent. Facility was kept very clean. Food was just okay. The fact that we had an independent caretaker 5 hours a day, moms friends and myself there quite a bit helped greatly.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is fantastic. Yes every place has Pros an cons in elderly care but they really are so good to my loved one whose been here 3 yrs now. Latisha her caregiver I wouldn't trade for the world. Cassandra is great too. Regina at front desk is always helpful and if you ever get the chance to meet Barbara who is also front desk staff she is such a sweet sweet lady! I'm very grateful for the care. I took work in this field at a different facility that is assisted living an I know this job is a unnoticed job but these care givers here are appreciated!!! Fantastic experience: This skilled nursing facility is so very well kept! It's clean and pleasing to the eyes. My best friends mother is a resident and I have had the pleasure of visiting at various times of the day and things are always in order. The dining room is setup like a restaurant, the staff says the residents get to come together for meals and place their orders from that days menu. Fantastic experience: We were so relieved to have finally found a skilled nursing facility where the staff were helpful, pleasant and friendly, took good care of my father and seemed truly interested in his well being. The facility itself is attractive, bright, and clean and my dad’s room was very spacious and nicely appointed. The therapists there are first rate and they have plenty of equipment and spacious therapy rooms. Special kudos to Occupational Therapist Clement who went above and beyond by, among several other things, helping coordinate ordering the various types of equipment my dad needed for his return home and to Physical Therapist Charlie who patiently worked to train me on using the equipment that my dad needed upon returning home. Angela and Princess went above and beyond in responding quickly to our many questions, assisting in making arrangements for my dad’s offsite medical appointment and his return home, and ensuring that all his remaining clothes were returned to us nicely laundered and on hangers. Every step of the way we felt that my dad was in good hands. Nurses Mo and Nike and floor supervisor Stephanie, and CNA Catherine and many others did a wonderful job with the hands on care my father need during his stay. Reception desk staff Regina and Barb always answered the phone promptly and were helpful and courteous. Margarita who runs the various daily social activities is just wonderful and very kind to all. Our experience at Palm Garden was extremely positive and should our family need skilled nursing care in the future, we would not hesitate to use Palm Garden.

Fantastic experience: I used Palm Garden physical therapy as an out patient a few weeks ago, for rehab after I had a bad fall, injuring my knees. The therapists were so caring and always very professional and helped me regain my strength and ability to walk better. The facility was well equipped and was not boring. They made it fun. Negative experience: I am so appalled at the conditions on Palm Gardens. My friend entered on May 25-26 after a procedure at NFRMC. From that day until when she was released June 11th, she has NO shower. I attended the family conference on Tuesday, June 7th. Her shower days were Wednesday and Saturday - and no shower. I visited May 31, she was in the CoVid wing. I received no notice - even though I got a recorded message that there was an outbreak and if my loved was infected, I would be notified. I was not. I called after the fact because I was required to leave from the Covid wing into the back parking. She is in worse condition that when she arrived. And in fact, I had to pick her up and take her to the ER yesterday, June 12th where she was admitted. During her stay, I had to repeatedly call to get information, left messages with no response. Fantastic experience: 5 Stars because the difference is refreshing. The staff interact with the residents and family and volunteer to help with things. This helps me. A big shout out to Amari (sp?) she went above and beyond the call of duty. Very grateful to Greg as well. Always smiling and helpful. But I’m leaving a lot of ppl out bc I can’t recall their name. Great place for unfortunate circumstances.

Fantastic experience: My father was here for rehab. The staff was really great and his care was excellent. If there are any issued the food isn't very good. However, we just brought his meals to him. There wasn't one person that we dealt with that wasn't understanding and helpful.
