Services and Treatments
UF Health Center for Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Worth the wait. We were rescheduled twice and it took about 9 mounts to get in but very worth the wait for Parkinson’s. Excellent evaluations by physician, speech, OT and PT. Easy access by car and all services are in the same clean and well kept building.
Negative experience: Don’t bother trying to get an appointment they will just keep rescheduling. My mom was referred by her dr almost 2 years ago and they have pushed back her new patient appt 4x. They have “excuses” every time and none are last minute. I work for physicians and know they have their schedules planned out 3-6 months in advance. I’d look elsewhere for care.
Negative experience: This place don’t address staff misconduct , me and my wife were victims of it by doctor Solomon; I was asked if I liked young girls then he asked my wife if she was going to leave me for a younger guy and how long we were married .How inappropriate for a doctor to ask such things to a patient ,I filed a case with the university and four days later I have not even received a phone call. I guess they are willing to put this matter under the rug so they do not t loose this doctor, how shameful .that this predatory behavior is going to be tolerated , I
Negative experience: Doctors do no LISTEN. Do not even waste your time here if you can go anywhere else, DO! This place has become a JOKE.
Negative experience: I was referred to Dr Jaffe, by a neurologist who has followed my case for years, so that I could continue receiving care while going to university. Now I drive 10 hours once a month to go see my previous doctor and AVOID Dr. Jaffe. All I wanted was to continue on the same medication regimen that I had spent 2 years perfecting with my neurologist. Dr Jaffe insinuated I was trying to get medications from him as though I were a junkie and that there wasn’t anything wrong with me. He would leave me with his fellow Dr. Datta who was just as rude and inattentive. I tried to stay positive when they gave me all new medications but it made me even more symptomatic and caused hallucinations. I was very honest about my academics being a priority and that I didn’t have the luxury of testing new medications at the moment because I have to be well enough to perform in school. They did not take that seriously and I actually ended up having to drop out of school because I felt so bad. That resulted in losing my scholarship and not being able to return due to not having sufficient funds. I feel sad that I trusted them when I clearly should have seen the signs that they were not going to take my case seriously.
Negative experience: Tiffany Eisenbach needs to go back to medical school. She knows nothing about me or my issues yet sees fit to bully an elderly woman over the phone. Don't waste your time with UF Neurology. They think they're too good to treat normal people. Went to one office and was told to leave. Bad business.
Negative experience: I don't like Mathew Burns because he doesn't want to treat me for my movement disorder
Negative experience: My son appointment it was 4/11/23 and today is 4/24/24 I don't receive his medicine because we need consent form signed by his doctor and I call the doctor office mor then 3 times, all ways they asking me what I need an d I have to explain to them exactly what we need to get his medicine, in the end of call they saying we send message to his doctor and still continue at this way
Fantastic experience: This facility is clean and easy to access, grounds and facility are well kept. For serious neuro evaluation and needs a good facility. Staff was cordial and efficient. Stephanie was helpful and informative, upbeat and made us feel welcome and comfortable!

Fantastic experience: Best of the best for Neuro disorders
Fantastic experience: These people gave me my life back! They are awesome! Dr. Okun, Dr. Foote, Dr. Hess, Pam Zeilman, APRN and others. When I came to you, I was losing hope. Now, after successful Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery, I am living a full life, able to do all the things Parkinson's had taken from me. I am forever grateful for all of your care and compassion. 6+ years going strong post op. Thank you just isn't enough.
Fantastic experience: Had a great time talking to AJ as always today about how well kept the facility is & I always have a great view during lunch of the area. Very impressive.
Fantastic experience: Visited this center last Friday! The best experience as a PD patient since diagnosed in 2012. Everything under one roof in their new beautiful building. Thank you
Negative experience: Don't waste your time here
Negative experience: I visited this clinic back in July for an initial evaluation for a migraine. They recommended that I get an MRI and the doctor referred me to Shands. Somehow there has been significant miscommunication with my insurance company regarding the imaging I received. Since that time, I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to get the referral paperwork submitted so that the bill can be paid by my insurance. I have called this office over 20 times, have spoken to the clinic staff, the clinic manager in person to simply ask them to look into the issue and submit whatever they need to submit to my insurance. Despite many promises, it has been over 5 months and nothing has been resolved and I have now have to cover a bill that would normally be covered by my insurance due to this clinic’s neglect and failure to even try to work with me. This has been extremely frustrating and I will never schedule an appointment here again.
Fantastic experience: Dr Subramony is phenomenal. Our son was diagnosed with Cerebra Palsy 10 yes ago. To make a long story short. Dr Shuhaiber referred him to Dr Subramony. Within 10 mins he confirmed what 5 other neurologists missed. He is patient, listens, asks in depth history and relative questions to get the whole picture. Our son who was confined to a wheel chair, is now stable (his condition isn't curablel) and enjoys life so much more. Has alot more good days and loves to make others happy. Wish we would have found them sooner. They gave him his life back! Truly a life changing decision to seek their expertise. It's worth the drive.
Fantastic experience: Doctors and staff are awesome
Negative experience: Check in staff rude and impatient. Dr Alameida was ok. Kind of like a cattle auction get em in get em out. Check out person was rude and uncaring. If you don't like your job get another one.
Negative experience: Nurses were good, staff was great, but doctor sucked with no idea of medical history
Fantastic experience: Great place for anyone looking for help and answers with any sort of movement disorder. Dr. Okun, Dr. Rodriguez, Dr.Hu have all been great. I suffer from a very rare kind of dystonia called PKD which causes me to collapse every min or so. Without carbamazepine (a seizure medication) I am unable to walk, drive, etc. The only negative thing I will say about this place is that Dr. McFarland should NOT be a neurologist let alone work with patients of such sentive conditions. He tried to tell me today that he did not see a need for me to have my handycap papers renewed because I was ‘’cured’’....Dr. if you are reading this...in case they did not teach you in med school THERE IS NO CURE for dystonia!!! I am simply ‘’managed’’ with meds. Many doctors need to learn about the many many implications that come along with such conditions. So to everyone out there, doctor or not, please be sensitive to each person’s individual condition.
Fantastic experience: Very professional. Great with children and actually take time, to get to the bottom of things.
Fantastic experience: Words can't explain how much I think of these people. Dr Malaty is an Angel, in a Doctor's coat. The staff are amazing. How fortunate we are to have access to them.
Fantastic experience: Excellent pretty much sums it up. Staff is very friendly, prompt and spends whatever time is needed to assist you. Thanks Dr. Malaty and other Dr.s and staff. Tom
Fantastic experience: I have been a Neurology patient for quite a while, and I like my providers, but I had never seen my providers at the Movement Disorders Clinic until yesterday. The visit went smoothly, everyone was very nice, and I want to say that Nicole, the nurse who helped me yesterday, was very kind and professional, and I really appreciate that.
