Negative experience: Do not leave your family member here!!! Everyone sits on their phone.Buzzers are not answered. I took my husband out yesterday and went to the hospital. Any signs of healing he had in the hospital was completely undone here!!

Negative experience: Just like the person said 6 months ago. Outside looks great. Horrible care on the inside. Staff and CNA's are rude! Business etiquette is Terrible! Very unprofessional

Fantastic experience: This place is very clean and esthetically pleasing. Everyone who works there was so nice and personable. My dad was only there for a few days but all the different care teams that saw him were great and caring. It felt more like a nice hotel than a medical facility.

Negative experience: This place is very nice on the inside and outside and that's about all you guys because it's a horrible place to have to leave someone you love. They wouldn't clean the room, he had to wait days for a bed bath, and when he was soiled they made him wait from 1 to 2 hours before they would clean him up and by the time I was able to have the things that I needed at home he had bedsores that I thought I never would get well but I did.

Negative experience: There is fully a nurse working here that refuses treatment… why haven’t they fired her yet? Your guess is as good as mine

Negative experience: This place is inhumane and abusive!!! I can’t believe they would neglect their own patients. David Muniz deserved better and I hope this place gets shut down.

Negative experience: Last month my mom went up there to go visit are cousin that was in there and his parents had told my mom yeah we told the nurses that he needs a patch and they've took it forever so my mom had to go up there and start telling them Hey they just told you he needs to patch and you all haven't brought him s*** well story short this month on the 25th my cousin Passed away. Before he passed away my Uncle told the nurse's Hey my son needs help and they were like oh hes just sleeping no minutes later he passed away and he never got the help that he need from the Nurses there. So plz don't take your love one's there.

Negative experience: Do not bring loved ones here they do not have any employees to assist them the do not change them at all on the weekends. They will lay there all weekend in pain no one will come in but maybe once to change them the entire day they get raw they do not care. They treat them like animals feed them microwave food that's cold everyday I don't know why they can't or ask for help from other companies to get people in there to take care of tthem.

Negative experience: If I could give a Negative # I Would!! I partially blame them for her death!! Once she passed, the ONLY person that contacted me, was a woman in admissions, asking when she was coming back. Oh yeah, I'll bring her box of Ashes back!! NO ONE from Mgmt called to offer condolences or Anything once she died!! Very unhappy!! My mom was intubated and was to be on a liquid or Very soft diet. I went in, she said how hungry she was, I tht she needed help, I opened the box of cold food, hard scrambled eggs, hard nuggets and crunchy dessert!! Thankfully I got a picture of the food, AND her specific diet menu!!

Negative experience: Sister is there and says everything is great except or the FOOD!!.. I NEED IT TO CHANGE ..NOW!!! BETTER FOOD AND KITCHEN OPEN 24/7 these people are our love ones in need of help, I'm calling channel 4 news !!!!.. I'm calling the news station about this place tomorrow Nov. 17 2022...enough is enough!!

Negative experience: My mom recently started working here and walked out the first day. She witnessed neglect and abuse. The CNA’s and nurses were fighting and causing a lot of hostility. She said the facility smelled so bad because the patients were not being cleaned properly. She witnessed a staff member change a diaper but didn’t clean them. The person put two diapers on the patient which is not allowed. They didn’t have any reports on the patients needs. The staff doesn’t even call the patients by their names. When my mom confronted her boss, administration, and HR they apologized and came up with excuses. Even offered to move her to a different area. Like my mom said, that doesn’t change anything. A report to state will be made. She has never seen a facility this bad before. Be cautious about this place.

Fantastic experience: My father was here for rehab & their team did an excellent job with his recovery after a stroke. The Therapy dept was AMAZING! So nice & knowledgeable, He loved how he was treated there & that warmed my heart knowing they really took care of him when he needed it the most. For that I give this place 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Our family toured Advanced Care of Garland and knew immediately that this would be the best place for my father. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The administrator answered all of our questions.

Negative experience: My mom is currently in this place recovering from a broken thigh. I have to say i am extremely disappointed.. The food hete ducks, they mafe foctors appointment s withoutt my moms or i consenting it all just seems really shady tht any place would do this.

Negative experience: New ownership, staff quit. If you love your relative do not put them in this facility. 40 or longer on call button, food is not edible, my mom went to the hospital, they told me that she was Malnutrition, food served cold. Therapy does not exist. The list just goes on and on.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE place. UPDATE: well she ended up in ICU - I moved her. My sister is in there - horrid food - she has lost a LOT of weight. Even the hospital has better food - there is no excuse for this - how are people suppose to get well with that slop? She's a Diabetic that they have not given her insulin in weeks. Haven't cleaned the room in weeks. I appreciate they are being careful with COVID, but when something is brought to a patient that obviously has been sprayed with Lysol and they still hold it for 48 hours! Aides are the only ones that do anything. Nurses let her develop wounds and kidney problems. PT is okay. I keep having to bring her supplies that THEY should be supplying! NOT a happy camper and want to move her, but that is difficult to do.

Fantastic experience: Great place! I was amazed with how professional, clean, and respectful everyone here was with my family and I’s experience here. The food was always on time, it was always warm when we got it to my father. Physical therapy was awesome and not to mention the admin team was super nice. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and their loved ones.

Fantastic experience: Patient care is the number one focus, nursing, therapy, activities, dietary and even house keeping. They are all phenomenal. I have never seen so many employees that genuinely care about everyone and provide amazing patient care and customer service. This facility was built on morals and ethics, and prides themselves on patient care. I would highly recommend this facility whether you're looking for short term rehab or long term care. Take a tour and meet the staff, you will be impressed.

Negative experience: Steer clear!! Most people are there just for a paycheck and could care less that there are human beings in their care. The day I arrived for a visit, no one knew what nurse was caring for my loved one, and when someone pointed out the right nurse, she didn't even know she was taking care of her. The nursing assistant told me my loved one was choking on her food while feeding her in bed. She never eats in bed, and she never chokes on her food, so something was very wrong with this picture. I left my loved one after walking her to the bathroom and kissing her goodbye, only to pick her up three days later in diapers and unable to walk or talk. They will leave your loved one without water and starve them to death. Stay away!!!

Negative experience: HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!! Although they have made some upgrades to this facility, the front and intake staff was not one of them. I cant even describe in the right expressive words how appalling and utterly rude the front desk ladies Tanika and Lisa are to the family members visiting their loved ones, the very family members that chose to place their loved ones at this facility. On numerous occasions Lisa has been very combative. loud and rude to the guest visiting their family members. When working with Tanika for paperwork processing, she was also very rude, short and does really seem to understand what she is doing. She provided a packet of papers requiring signatures, only to review there were missing papers. Having to schedule a meeting to talk with her about this she then provides another packet of papers to review. Only to contact weeks later, letting us know she is missing main paperwork she needs. Then expects you to drop everything to get her what she needs. The administrator Bradlee promoted a warm and fuzzy stay and staff for you and your family members, but is no where to be found when you are experiencing these issues with the front desk ladies. After trying to reach him numerous times for complaints, he seems to be "used to it" and "okay with it" because the ladies still behave in such a rude and disrespectful manor to all guest visiting their family members. Sadly this place takes Medicaid and not many facilities do, so they are quick to accept patience for their Medicaid benefits but definitely lacking on the customer service aspect. However, there are several hidden fees you will need to look out for that come later. They tag all residents clothing, every single item, with permanent marker. So hopefully you don't plan on bringing your loved ones any expensive or nice clothes to wear. While visiting the few times we could manage getting past the rude gate guards and terrible attitudes, my mothers room didn't even have any sheets on the bed, the food was horrible, they are NOT allowed in the court yard, no matter what they "sell you". Although the business name states rehab, I have not witness much rehab going on at this facility. The only rehab need is from the trauma you endure after dealing with the intake and front staff. Horrible experience! Horrible front desk staff! Horrible! Horrible! **I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE!** ****LOOK ELSE WHERE!***

Fantastic experience: “Our visit with our mothers at Advance Health and Rehab of Garland,Tx during Mother’s Day was very rewarding as Mr Brad ( administrator of the facility) was very accommodating in welcoming our big family in welcoming us back after the lockdown. I would like to especially mention my mother’s nurse ( Angela Jones ) who had always been gracious in helping me do FaceTime with my mother and had always updated me on my mother’s well being and any concerns that she might have. And also I would like to to thank Dorothy, DON who has always listened to any concerns that I have.” This is my cousin’s review” My mother is in the Memory Unit . I live in Seattle, Washington. I would especially mention Theresa iheke , my Mom’s nurse who especially helps us with FaceTime Mon, Wed and Friday. I can see her special attention to mom’s needs . She is very patient and caring. My mom being in a Memory unit especially needs these unique traits. Angela very helpful as well. I can see that these staff members go above and beyond. Pls recognize these dedicated and Above and beyond staff. We are forever thankful and grateful of their service. During the Mother’s celebration (5/8/2021). I was in face time with my Dallas family who were there. They said each and every one had a great experience. Thank you for all you do.We appreciate you. I am a retired nurse , just retired last year. I know what it means to be appreciated! Pls continue to do and give your excellent care and props to your excellent staff. This next review is from my sister Evelyn Atis . She is an essential caregiver together with my youngest sister Divina Heyne. Kudos to the AHAR Garland administration and staff for their outstanding and excellent quality care and efficient service to our mom and aunt. Helping our family communicate with mom through FaceTime as well as giving us continuous updates during the lockdown has helped us to connect closely to her in our sharing and bonding moments, more so that mom is in the Memory unit. We were afraid she might not remember us!Through the great efforts of the nursing staff, mom still continues to know us by names and such blessings that we are now able to visit her with still some restrictions for the safety of staff and residents. Special thank you to Theresa, mom’s day nurse for her unselfish TLC , Antonia who works works in the evening shift, AJ works during the weekend, other nurses that we haven’t mentioned, and to all the caring nursing assistants for their commitment in providing quality and efficient care to mom and the patients. We had the best Mother’s Day celebration and so impressed with the friendly and cheerful staff who were there for us. Even the facility’s administrator, Mr. Brad Watson, was there to support and help us, as we made our way to see our mom and aunt for the first time since the visitation restrictions. To the DON, Sabrina the staff social worker, Carmen , Lisa and the rest of the support staff we are not able to mention, our heartfelt appreciation and thanks for all that you do for our loved ones and your patients. Advance Health and Rehab is certainly one of the best nursing home facility in our Garland area and in state of Texas!

Fantastic experience: This facility if filled with caring, loving, and engaging staff and residents. The clinical outcomes are excellent with a 5-star Quality rating from CMS. The building is brand new with state-of-the-art therapy equipment, expansive resident activity and meeting areas, and each resident room has it's own large bathroom and shower. My experience over the past two years has been outstanding.

Our gorgeous new facility has two outstanding rehab gyms (one side for ADL's and the other for mobility) with an incredible rehab team to back it up! love working for this company and even more, I love the families and residents I get to work with. Our Administrator and Director of Nursing are constantly working with everyone to make sure our residents are getting the best quality of life! The staff is so pleasant to partner with, which really helps the patient's we serve. Im very confident that you will get great patient care in this facility.

Negative experience: Poor place to have anyone or thing! The entire staff literally don't care about the well being of patients! In the event you make a complaint nothing is never did about it. Its so bad Adult Protection Services have a rapport with Staff which is why nothing is never done when complaints or reports filed!!! I am taking all the necessary steps to put a stop to this HORROR FACILITY!!! PLEASE DONT SEND A ANIMAL OR HUMAN TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY DONT CARE!!!!!
