We are thrilled to announce that starting on November 1, South Bay Family Health Care has officially merged with Venice Family Clinic. Together, we will be able to provide comprehensive primary care and services to 45,000 patients and to those who are not currently receiving care in the area from the Santa Monica Mountains to the South Bay. SBFHC, which is now a part of Venice Family Clinic, is an excellent community health center that offers high-quality, low-cost or free health care to those in need in the South Bay and Harbor Gateway areas of Los Angeles County in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Vaccinations, regular check-ups of infants and children, diagnosing and treating any problems, and providing parents with information about proper nutrition, parenting methods, and developmental progress.

Testing for oral health, taking x-rays for imaging, cleaning teeth, applying fluoride, filling cavities, repairing capped teeth, extracting teeth, and educating patients about the importance of preventive care for oral health.

South Bay Family Health Care has partnered with Venice Family Clinic, a provider of high-quality healthcare with dignity and respect. Together, they now serve 45,000 people at 17 locations from the Santa Monica Mountains to the South Bay region. This collaboration brings a hundred years of experience.

Negative experience: My son had to have blood drawn to check his sugar level and he had to fast the day before. After drawing the blood we went out to the lobby and my son was fainting, no one did anything or tried to help , I asked the guard for a cup for water and he just told me "we don't have cups" "they haven't arrived yet."I help my son to walk to the car so I can get him something to eat/drink across the street at the 7-Eleven

Positive experience: I recently took my two month old son the clinic location on La Brea for a check up and his shots. When we arrived his father and I were a little skeptical from the looks of things, but I must say I'm glad we didn't judge this book by its cover. The staff were all very sweet from reception to the doctor and nurses. The exam room was clean and decorative. His appointment was extremely thorough. I wasn't sure if I would bring him back here but I think we will be returning for his next appointment! Thank you South Bay.

Negative experience: Aparté cita desde marzo y me programaron para este dia 2 de mayo desde ayer 1 de mayo me mandaron mensaje que tenia cita llegue a la ventanilla y estaba un señor bien despota me preguntó mi nombre como 4 veces ,y le dije no estoy en el sistema o que ?y me dijo que no,que me habian cancelado yo les dije que era una irresposabilidad y todavia me dijo le puedo dar cita para Julio perdi mi dia de trabajo muy mal sevicio.

Fantastic experience: The nurses are great some staff are amazing while the other 50 percent are only there for a paycheck I suppose once they get that taken care of then it would be a nice experience.

Negative experience: IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!!! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOURSELF OR YOUR KIDS PLEASE I BEG YOU DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! TURN AROUND FAST!!!!!!!!!!! I am calling the department of health on this practice for unruly conduct! Delay of treatment!! And Discrimination! They are so unprofessional from the hotline to the actual DOCTORS! They are rude, they don’t believe you, and you can never see them!! How can I improve if you don’t want to see your patients?? The doctors are ALWAYS ALWAYS on a month long vacation, it’s SAD! I could keep going on, instead of giving me a prescription the PA told me TO MIX BENADRYL AND NYQUIL TO MAKE ME “ DROWSY” ? How unprofessional is that! I’m so upset, lastly she PURPOSELY did not put in my prescription and expected me not to call or complain? I’m so upset, I’m teary eyed writing and seeing all of these reviews cause I thought it was just me. Shame on this practice, I hope they get closed down.

Negative experience: The new staff members are really rude especially Veronica .. her attitude is like she’s doing my kids a favor if they get an appointment Me and my Family have been apart of this clinic for over 9 years And the only reason we are still a part of this Clinic is because of Dr. Do and Miss Conza .. and and a few other news, that Hispanic lady I can’t remember her name right now.. they are absolutely lovely but Victoria on the other hand needs to be fired ASAP. I feel like she is in the wrong field at the wrong time she is in essential worker, but she always has an attitude doesn’t have time to book appointments for my children always tells me go to the emergency room very unprofessional. I access clinic if they have space for my three children if not, just let me know because every time there’s an issue my my Kids School was trying to contact him for over a month for my daughters inhaler and her EpiPen. They tried to blame the school. The school showed me the proof of the fax. I knew it was the clinic because it’s been like this ever since Dr. lurvy left.. I’m so fed up all I’m trying to do is book a phone appointment so Dr. Dok and give me advice like she’s always done now they tell me she won’t be in for a whole week and to basically take my kids to the emergency room for a question. This is too much.

Fantastic experience: I usually, if at all, will only review a food place and only if it is EXTEMELY great or bad. So excited about my new Nurse practitioner, Jennifer Hudson. She is a diamond in the ruff. God, please , let her stay. She is thorough, exclusive, attentive to detail, great listener, responds quickly with results, and very, very personable. I love Np"s over doctors because my PERSONAL experience has been they find things doctors dont. But this lady is a cut above the rest! If you are in her care, you will feel like you were the only patient she had for the day. I did not feel like I was one of many. Thanks Nurse Practitioner Jennifer! I have never felt compelled to leave a review for a clinic or doctor!

Negative experience: Me han cancelado dos citas y para que llegara la fecha de cada una espere dos meces en la primer que me. Cancelaron dijeron que la doctora andaba de vacaciones la segunda que la doctora tenía q salir temprano ..... tambien la otra ves fui con la ginecóloga que es una chinita le dije que me.dolian los ovarios y ella respondió como save que los ovarios ni yo que estudie se que son los ovarios

Negative experience: I’m upset with the service offered here. My mom has been feeling sick for the last 4 months, she's been in pain every day waiting for her appointment at this place but every time the appointment day arrives we are told that they’ve canceled the appointment due to the doctor not being there. This is the 4th time they’ve had to reschedule. We need our results!!!!!!

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would. I just recently moved here and scheduled an appointment for my daughter. I called ahead just to make sure I had all necessary paperwork they told me that I needed a court document that states that I have legal custody of my child which I do not have and by law they cannot ask for. It took them two days to even answer the phone. DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: They never answer calls. I have been calling for a month now. I don’t even know who my obgyn is. It is frustrating calling every day for a month now to no avail. it is so terrible, I would have to change my provider.

Negative experience: The customer service here is terrible we had a appointment for 2pm and never got a call and when we called them they had us on hold for over 35 minutes and never talked to anyone and just got hung up on multiple times. No one communicated with each other here and doesn't have any concerns for their patiences

Negative experience: Stay away from this place. It’s a total joke. They are completely lost and have no idea what or who they are dealing with. I was supposed to have an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner over the phone today about very important tests that I had done 3 weeks ago. This clinic called me 15 minutes before my appointment to tell me that they have made the appointment with the wrong nurse practitioner. Now I have to wait an additional week before I can even get any types of results. Truly, this clinic doesn’t care at all about its patients. I am on the phone calling the medical board as I am typing this right now.

Negative experience: I waited 3 hours in this office even though I was 20 minutes early to my appointment, just to find out they had booked me with the wrong kind of "doctor". They did blood work and the nurse practitioner (I never saw an actual doctor) told me she would prescribe me a medication. I called a few days later because it was never sent to the pharmacy, they told me she would get back to me and she still hasn't 2 weeks later. They also make you come in to go over blood work but the soonest openings are a month away. This place is awful and their front desk is rude and slow. Don't waste your time going here

Negative experience: Do not waste your time going here - they do not care about your health only their patient quota. Julie a NP not a MDO - refused to listen to me as a patient and asked me what I was "complaining " about. HOW INSULTING

Negative experience: If I could give them zero stars I would. The staff are nice but unhelpful. I was assigned one doctor but has seen 3 who "pretended" (?) to be my PCP just so they could move the line along. I had a few emergency referrals and neither of the PCPs that claimed to have me on their caseload was responsive so I have been calling and waiting and calling and being transferred and waiting and hung uo on and redirected and ignored. They will smile in your face but do nothing with your case.

Negative experience: ~My appointment was at 10:00a.m. & I'm still waiting to see a doctor.~They called me to the back just to take my weight & vitals & then send me back to the waiting room because they don't have a room available.~I made an appointment & yet everyone that walks through the front door is somehow getting seen before me.~I'm speechless & never the less still waiting patiently because I have the flu.

Negative experience: Extremely upset I have been in this office for 2 hours I was 15 minutes in the front and then they sent me in the back for an hour and 45 minutes minutes to tell me that they don't do anything in this office then I would need to set another appointment for another date. Not happy with this place if you have any problems please go somewhere else.

Negative experience: I had my visit here at this office yesterday and it was okay. I can't wait to transfer over healcare providers because this place is whatever. I didn't like the fact that the nurse who took my vitals, blood and urine tests was very rude and laughing, so unprofessional?!?!?! She didn't even have the decency to look me in my face while asking me questions, like I'm not really feeling this clinic and I would much rather be at a hospital with professional staff who were uniforms and not street clothes??!?!

Negative experience: This clinic is extremely unprofessional and I have had nothing but negative experiences and questionable health care services. There is a large lack of communication between the health care providers and the nurses and the different clinics associated. In the four times I have been here the nurses never knew what I was there for and the doctor I saw, Dr. C as he is called, told me to check WebMD for a solution to my IBS related bleeding. This clinic also repeatedly told me that they did not have test results from a radiology clinic they sent me to while the radiology clinic was telling me that they sent the results over to the South Bay family clinic just 4 days after my ultrasound. I am not sure who was lying but at that point it doesn't matter because they showed that either way one of the associations was lying to cover themselves and in the end it was my uterine cyst that went undiagnosed for that much longer and I dealt with the subsequent cramps and bleeding. I'm not sure if it is a problem with management not hiring the right kind of people or not hiring enough people but all in all this place has not made me feel like they were interested in my health at all. They frankly didn't even act as if they cared about the money they would earn from my visit either. They seemed not to care about anything.
