Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with my physical therapy with Michaela and Lauren. They helped me achieve my goals quickly due to inevitable out of state move. They pushed me as hard as I wanted them to and probably harder, but they didn’t back off. They knew that I could achieve the goals. And I did. If something was hurting too much, they would find a different exercise - but the no pain no gain philosophy is very true. I am very grateful to the physical therapy. I would not be where I am with my knee today if it were not for that. Sheila F

Fantastic experience: Therapist's are very good !! They are attentive to our needs as we recover. I had triger fingers and carpal tunnel surgery and Chaz seen me through surgery on both hands. Best care ever !!

Negative experience: Only giving it a 2 because I don’t know if it was just one bad PT or the whole office. I only went for a few visits. I have complicated PT therapy needs sit to a nerve entrapment from a surgery. PT therapists notes were highly unprofessional and inaccurate. The young man talked too much, and apparently forgot pertinent details. His very opinionated notes could easily lead to a lawsuit as they will negatively affect the treatment that I receive from doctors that read them. I only read the first visit notes. I could tell if I went further it would upset me. It took me 18 years to get treatment for this condition. I am VERY weary of this type of behavior as it causes me to have highs healthcare bills than necessary. As disabled as I am, I do not need to spend more. As a result of this expedience I have spent months researching and waiting for PT appointments. I have attempted to find an office that will not dismiss my needs and and me to the ER as has happened with physical therapy in the past. After a first visit last week with a new healthcare facility and a PhD, I am still out of luck. Anyone who has complicated PT needs should just try private practice as the healthcare systems will not get your needs in the right order asks they micromanage a body they know works together with other parts. They will not talk to before you wait months for an appointment. You can’t get any information about who you are seeing until you are in front of them at an appointment. This is a complete waste of our money and time. Just use private practice. Too hit and miss with these large healthcare systems and oth PT. They just don’t care enough to have any real oversight over much of anything at all these days.

Fantastic experience: Overall, my experience was greatly influenced by my PT, Keaton Mccoy. From day one, his dedication to improving my everyday life was prominent. He set clear goals for our time together in PT and regularly tracked our progress toward them. The facility was great, although they may be growing out of it because it seemed a little crammed at times. The staff up front were extremely helpful as well. Overall, my 5 stars are for Keaton and the staff up front!

Fantastic experience: Nkch physical therapy was great. I was able to use the steps up and down - that was my gold to be able to do that. Second times around was easier than yhan the first times. It was very good.

Fantastic experience: I was late but they were very helpful to get me in. The tech lady was fun colorful (clothes) direct so to get me out on schedule.

Fantastic experience: I am so much aware of my personal health and the things I can do to make it better. STACY was great, she not only helped me do the right exercise to get better but she help me understand the why. She worked me while giving the courage to do them on my own to help get me feeling good. I appreciate all the staff I worked with.

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing Service from my PT They were very on point with my Injury . They took extra time out to make sure every exercise was suitable for my recovery. They had very pleasant demeanors.. They made it very easy for my schedule. I recommend North Kansas City Hospital, physical therapy, and sports medicine to anyone looking for great recovery.

Fantastic experience: From Patty-Thankful my Oncologist recommended the C.O.R.E. Physical therapy program for post-cancer treatment. It has been very helpful in regaining my strength and stamina. The exercises are targeted and I can continue them at home post-program. My PT, Stephanie Moore, is excellent, knowledgeable, compassionate and very pleasant to follow her instructions. Her current PT intern, Bryce Idoni was also excellent. What a great program!

There were days I had to push myself to go, but once I saw her smiling face, things got better. She was so positive and encouraging. I will be having my other knee replaced in the fall and I will request her again. She has made my life so much easier. I did see a couple of other therapist and they were all very nice and professional. Thank you all!!!!

Fantastic experience: Mitch worked with me, I had pain in my hand post surgery two years prior for carpel tunnel release. Within a few weeks I was pain free . The exercises and therapy I received were outstanding.

Fantastic experience: Pulmonary function test. Never had this done before. The lady who performed the test described the different tests before she had me do them. Was a calming practice. Had no problem performing the tests.

Fantastic experience: I'll confess... I was reluctant to start physical therapy following my knee replacement surgery, but that was only due to bad memories from college days long ago and myriad injuries on the football field which had me on one of those tables with a trainer, bending, pushing, pulling, or twisting some limb into what always seemed to be a painful or otherwise unnatural position or direction. Thankfully, Matt & the team at North Kansas City Hospital Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine provided an ENTIRELY different experience!! Many I spoke with in advance of the surgery indicated their successful recovery was directly linked to their completion of physical therapy and the effort they put into it, so when Dr. Salin made it clear he expected me to do PT, I was already sold on the idea. Sure, it hurt like the devil when we started with a home health RN coming to our home the first couple of weeks, but I'd already prepared myself for that to be the case. And when I had those first few sessions at NKCH Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine with Matt (and others) and they said they wanted to start the sessions on a bike, I wanted to cry inside, but they were AWESOME about easing into everything we did... always cautious to not cause needless pain, and always sensitive to what I was willing to put into the day. In observing others around me, I could see this is how the group cares for their patients overall, which was refreshing. They really do care and want to help each achieve the progress their physician has targeted for them, but are always keenly attuned to where the patient might be in terms of overall pain (i.e. "good pain" vs. bad). By the time I had my 8wk follow-up with my surgeon, he was delighted with my progress and the range-of-motion I'd achieved with my new knee. I'm now nearly 3mos post-op and it just keeps getting stronger, and I am another one of those in the crowd saying, "...if only I'd done that sooner!" Without question I would not have made the progress I have had it not been for Matt & the team at NKCH Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine!!

Fantastic experience: Have been to the PT facilities at NKCH and always receive results. This time around I had an extremely knowledgeable and professional young lady, Amy Potthast, who definitely knows her stuff. She amazed me with the knowledge of my particular issue and how to really help me obtain relief.

Fantastic experience: I came in with a nagging knee pain for over two years. Matt and Amy taught me several exercises, stretches and corrected my form that were instrumental in helping me get better within a few months.100% recommended!

Negative experience: A text was sent to me from NKC Physical Therapy indicated an appointment had been scheduled and thanked me for attending. I did not schedule or attend the appointment. I had been receiving Therapy; however, it did not show any improvement. I stopped Therapy and results are the same if not better.

Am still doing the exercises. He instilled in me how important it was to keep them up. Will be continuing. By the way am 75 years old.

Fantastic experience: Dana was great to work with. She gave me alot of different types of physical therapy modes to do in her session and at home. It has improved my quality of movement and lessened the pain in my lower back

Fantastic experience: Codey and Kristen were very patient listen listeners. I saw someone else for my pelvic floor muscles and she too was amazing. My symptoms are just about completely gone. This place was the BEST physical therapy experience I have ever had. Everyone was very thorough "troubleshooting" my body to pin point all the problems so I could be properly put back together. Amazing team!!!
