Athletico Physical Therapy - Parkville

Fantastic experience: I went to Athletico after my hip replacement to strengthen my hip and leg. I was very happy with the physical therapy I received. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I mainly worked with Michelle and she was awesome! Always mixing up the physical therapy and always asking questions so she knew what physical therapy would be most beneficial for me. I am very pleased with the results and am now back to my daily routines. Thank you Athletico!

Fantastic experience: I've just finished six weeks of PT on my ankles and legs, working with Michelle and Blake, and am pain free. This is a clean and ordered operation, with very knowledgeable and professional technicians. I will recommend this company time and again.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff (P.T.s Michelle and Jacob and the secretary Carla) at Athletico have been an amazing support to me during my journey. They say P.T. can be the toughest part of post-surgery, but for me it's been my saving grace. No one tells you how much your mental health can plummet following major surgery and I'm learning the hard way. Not only does the staff support my physical journey back to mobility by keeping me motivated, but they also offer me help when I'm an emotional mess. I actually look forward to going.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience at Athletico and highly recommend this location! All the staff are so friendly and made me feel very comfortable for first time ever having PT. Michelle and Jacob were so knowledgeable of my surgery. Each session they always had the stretch and exercise for my knee and leg muscles that helped gain strength and range of motion. It wasn’t always easy and sometimes hurt a little but they knew when to push me to to get me closer to my goal. They were always very understanding and caring of how I was feeling on a particular day. With their encouragement and guidance, my progress went smoothly and results were achieved. Fantastic experience: The staff at Athletico is amazing!! Michelle and her team did such a fantastic job making me feel comfortable with my first time in PT for a shoulder repair. They all listened to me when it came to pain/discomfort, time constraints with scheduling and my activity level with certain exercises. They all did a great job helping me to get to a place where my shoulder felt like it was my shoulder again. Michelle often went the extra mile to help with secondary issues (due to wearing a sling) by using trigger point therapy, stretching and other techniques to use at home. I cannot recommend them enough!!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this location!! Both of the PT’s are very knowledgeable, I mainly worked with Michelle and she is amazing. You are greeted with a smile every time you walk in the door by the entire staff, the facility is very clean and parking is always available. All around I would choose Athletico all over again for any physical therapy needs.

Positive experience: Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. They took me through the recovery process with flying colors. I'd use them again in a heart beat.

Fantastic experience: The therapist and support staff were amazing. I was able to achieve a wider range of motion with my neck, right shoulder and hand. The PT’s expert knowledge with this type of injury along with select exercises worked wonders! Michelle is an exceptional therapist!!!

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend a better physical therapy office, from the employees to the facility itself. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bramely and Dr. Terry and both were extremely knowledgeable, listened and shared my goals of where I wanted to be post injury. The rehabilitation aids, Blake and Joe, were extremely helpful in stepping in and facilitating when necessary. The receptionist, Carla, is the absolute sweetest and was always willing to answer any questions/concerns that I had from an administrative standpoint. Every time I came in, I was met with such genuine greetings from everyone and it made it easier to momentarily let go of my personal struggles and focus on the task at hand. The facility had more than enough room to accommodate patients at the busiest of times and stations/equipment were sanitized after each use. The facility, in general, was always kept clean. As long as I am in the area, I will return here whenever I have physical therapy needs. I am extremely grateful and beyond satisfied with my care from beginning to end.

Fantastic experience: Both of my physical therapists were incredible. I'm SO pleased with the outcome of my therapy. I also have everything I need to keep up my progress. I give the therapist's a10 out of 10.

Negative experience: The therapy was good but the front desk receptionist, Carla, advised me that she had ran my insurance and it was in-network and it was covered and I didn’t have a co-pay. After 12 visits I see that they billed insurance for $5700 and my portion is $1400. Talk about a bait and switch! That each session was billed around $500 is ludicrous especially when you ride a machine half the time since other clients are in there needing the therapist attention. I’m disputing the bill and very disappointed in this facility.

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with terrible neck pain for years. I’ve tried everything including physical therapy, chiropractic, drs, surgeries etc. I was fortunate to have found Michelle Bramley at Athletico in Parkville. She performed needling on me and my pain was almost instantly gone! She was amazing and the entire staff and team are not only friendly but fantastic at what they do. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to better themselves physically.

Fantastic experience: I have had neck pain for many many years. I’ve tried chiropractors, massage, acupuncture and numerous medications. I have had nerve blocks in my neck for many years every few months and still continued to have pain. Looking up and down made me dizzy. Michelle suggested dry needling and strengthening that area. It has been the best thing I have found . Muscles that had been knotted for so long have released. My neck feels great!! I can turn and look up and down with no pain or dizziness. Fantastic experience: I started coming to Parkville Athletico before surgery for ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. I met with Michelle and it had been amazing ever since. I’ve been coming twice a week for the last 5 months and the progress I have had under their assistance has been so helpful in my daily life. Michelle, Jacob, Karla, and the rest of the team are so friendly and really make you feel welcomed and like a family. The support they provide is needed after an injury (especially life altering). I will forever come to Athletics Parkville for any physical therapy needs.

For any mothers in need of a pediatric physical therapist to address torticollis and other infant muscle tightness, Michelle was amazing. While using a baby’s natural interests to work through exercises, she will treat your child with the same gentleness and care as she would her own. Big thanks!

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but positive things to say about the Athletico Parkville location! Michelle has been wonderful in helping my son, Lucas, recover from a hip flexor injury. She is thorough in her work and very encouraging. She keeps it fun, engages in conversations with Lucas, and he is always looking forward to his appointments. She gives him exercises to work on at home that have helped tremendously as well. I have seen patients of all ages while I sit and wait for Lucas during his appointments and Michelle is great with all of them! Highly recommend Athletico Parkville to anyone needing physical therapy!

She had helped me more with a few weeks of PT than many doctors and specialists had been able to help me in years. She was instrumental in finding a correct diagnosis for me, which led to a very successful treatment plan. I was always greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionist, who was so friendly and personable that I immediately felt comfortable at the beginning of each visit. Thank you to Michelle and staff.

Fantastic experience: As a nurse practitioner I have sent many patients to physical therapy. I have also been to physical therapy several times myself. In my opinion Michelle and the team at Athletico in Parkville is the best I have worked with. My acute injury is better than before I started! I have been taught ways to decrease my chronic shoulder pain. I am thankful to all the team.

Negative experience: I hate writing this, but I had a terrible experience here. I did not feel valued and that my pain was not accepted with my PT. I felt neglected often and that since I hadn’t had a clear injury/surgery that my pain was not real. I said the exercises were only hurting my shoulder more and left in tears several sessions. Now, several months later it was discovered I have a major tear in my shoulder. I had surgeries prior and that was something I discussed but felt dismissed my entire time.

Fantastic experience: I met Michelle in June of 2021 , she gave me a free 30 minute assessment which Athletico allows . I was interested in going to that facility after fracturing my wrist and having surgery . Michelle contacted my doctor the same day of the assessment and was able to get my script the same day to be able to get treated. I see her 2x a week and when I tell you I’m happy I met her I am happy I met her . Not only is she a good Physical Therapist but she also a good communicator, listener and good teacher . My wrist and fingers was so stiff when we met and now I’m able to drive, cook , write the list goes on, I’m not done yet and I am satisfied so far with the outstanding help of Michelle . So if you looking for a fun therapist Michelle is your girl at the Parkville location. If you read this review and decide to go let her know her girl sent you (Brandy lol) I promise you will be in a little discomfort lol but you want regret it. Give her a call and she will answer all of your questions and get you in and get you back right . Thank you Michelle

Fantastic experience: I originally chose Athletico because they offer services in various cities and locations. This was necessary for me as I travel often to the St. Louis area. That way I could continue therapy without interruption. I was more than satisfied with Michelle at the Parkville location. I felt myself progressing each week. Along with weekly therapy she gave me print outs for exercises to work on each week at home. She always worked with my schedule. Always accommodating. Fantastic experience: My son came to Athletico for PT following a groin injury during his basketball season. After the 8week regimen of intense stretching and dry needling he is feeling better than ever. Michelle and Andrew were so great to work with. Fantastic experience: Athletico of Parkville is by FAR the most helpful PT I have had. When I started I could not even turn my head side to side. I was experiencing extreme pain with movement and it affected my shoulders and entire cervical area due to chronic cervical issues. I was skeptical when the Dr. referred me to PT as I have not experienced any helpful PT in the decades I have been going at other facilities for lower back issues. Michelle, the Physical Therapist there was gentle and understanding. After my first visit I was able to turn my head more with less pain. After about 4 visits I was able to completely turn my head and felt safe driving again. Michelle is very knowledgeable and has certifications such as dry needling which I recommend. Soon I was feeling 90% better! When Michelle discharged me I was disappointed and wanted to continue going as I have other chronic stability issues. I asked my Dr. for another referral! I am now back with Michelle working on stability and after 1 visit I felt less dizzy and more stable. Michelle is able to identify problems and always has a solution! I am beyond impressed with her and the entire facility. Michelle was great communicating with my Dr. as well. Andrew, at the front desk is pleasant and efficient also. I HIGHLY recommend this facility and Michelle! Don't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I came in with a pretty bad back injury that left me in constant pain and severely limited my physical activity. Michelle helped fix years of damage and i really feel like I got my life back. I had almost forgotten what it was like to move without pain. 100% recommend giving them a call!

Andrew keeps the ship afloat while Michelle and her associates provide excellent support through physical therapy. I have been through PT before for my lower back problems. I have never been completely relieved of pain by the end of PT until I worked with Michelle. She carefully explained and monitored the exercises, advancing them as needed until I was pain free. Fantastic experience: Excellent progress and result! I didn't really believe in PT before. But it worked! Michelle and her team really helped me to cure my knee. I had to wear different types of supports at my left leg when i ran for almost a year. but now i can ran marathon without any of them just after 2-3 month PT with Michelle. The staff here are very nice and friendly. Andrew always figured out my messed schedule even i had to change the appointment in the last minute. Blake is the assistant of Michelle i believe, he did great job to help me get all exercises done. MICHELLE! YOU ARE AMAZING!! very professional and patient. corrected my movements and developed my therapy plan based on my feedback every time. The place is very nice and clean as well! highly highly highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: Michelle and her team at Athletico Physical Therapy - Parkville we’re both professional and personable. We joked about how we became best friends in the month I was seeing them and it really was so true. They were knowledgeable and encouraging and they all cheered me on through my injury as well as through all of life’s other adventures that came up during our time together. Michelle spoke directly to my doctors to make sure she could support me in the best way possible and would give me home workouts and check in even when I wasn’t in her care. I am feeling much better already and I’m sure my injury prone body will have us reunited again someday. Not that I’m looking forward to that day, but at least I know I’ll be in the best of hands!

Fantastic experience: We were needing a physical therapist for our 3 month old baby. We are so happy we were able to find Michelle. She went over and beyond for our child and family. She taught my husband and I how we could work with our child to better be able to help her. She was so patient and so good with our baby. We started physical therapy because our child favored her right side. Now she is exceeding milestones. We are so grateful for Michelle and all the ways she helped us. Would highly recommend Michelle to anyone needing physical therapy!

Fantastic experience: The physical therapist was very knowledgeable about what she was doing. She knew the muscles of the body and what needed to be done to stretch them and to make them stronger. She was very encouraging. I felt like I could do anything that she told me that she needed me to do. The receptionist was very cordial and courteous. Both of them were very kind. I thought they did a wonderful job helping me strengthen my legs. I would recommend this Athletico to everyone! It is an excellent Physical Therapy Destination.
