Negative experience: Saw orthopedic specialist for needed hip repair, X-ray, MRI and two visits before my surgery . Told him my injury was old (1975) and bad . Had way too many injections to make it through the years. Surgery scheduled at Advent to replace the hip. Told approved by my health plan after MRI . Surgery was to last 2 hours , hoped to go home that night or the next day. Surgery lasted 9 hours I came out to ICU. My wife was left alone in a deserted waiting room as everyone went home at 5. I learned a lost blood and received transfusions, aspirated and was lucky to be alive. Saw my surgeon that night and never again the 4 days in ICU. Later learned there were abnormalities, complications, and errors in my surgery. The ICU stay and hospital stay was grueling. 10 days after discharge I developed an infection, original surgeon ghosted me. A carrying nurse sent me to BSW ER in Temple, the ortho docs , staff, infectious disease folks there saved my leg and likely my life. 5 stars for them. BSW Hemmingway Ortho and Advent get zero if I could give it . If u use advent watch you bill, they failed to obtain $25k worth of out of network provider for my surgery. The BSW ortho docs are not under the same supervision as the Temple Docs, I believe they answer to Mayberry RFD. Make the drive to the real hospital, best gas money I ever burned .

Negative experience: Thank goodness i never touched the pain clinic at the hemingway. But sadly my mom is there and there is a big tall guy named David. Wow… worst nurse practitioner ever. How you have the audacity to tell me that you are not a pain clinic when clearly says “PAIN CLINIC”, and also “we dont prescribed pain medication”… sent my mother without medication, in tears at home because of the terrible pain. Second time was a follow up appt and the guy on the same thing. I had to stand up and walk away with my mother because of this incompetent guy that doesn’t know that my mother already have a contract with them and again sent her to vacation (3 weeks) without medication. And with that pne is the second strike you hit.. another one and sadly i have to find another pain clinic because of his staff. Not only that guy but there’s a couple of nurses and staff that are hostiles with elder patients like my mother. Idk whats going on on that building but please, be charm with your patients. As a former nurse, pain nurse operating room tech/ surgeon assistant and student from Med School from Puerto Rico, im deeply ashamed of this.

Negative experience: The 2 receptionist on the first floor on the left hand side were terrible! I stood in line for 15 minutes after Echeck in while they giggled and gossiped. The ladies on the right were working very hard to get the long line under control. Finally a lady on the right saw the ladies on the left were not doing their job and asked if they can check people in. She finally called me up and told me I was checked in and to go to 3rd floor, 370. As I get up to the third floor (mind you this is my first time here ever) the rude lady at the middle desk before I can even get the first syllable of my question out, rudely interrupts me “ go around there” I ask for 370? She’s like “ yea… around there” pointing around the corner. So freaking rude like I could’ve been asking you where did you get that bad hair cut from. Ugh I hope this is NOT where I’ll be going for the next 9months! I wish I could rate them all individually because the receptionist for OB/GYN was pleasant and friendly unlike the others I encountered. All in all professionalism even in healthcare is down the drain!

Negative experience: 0 stars if I could not on the staff they are great 0 on MD PAUL WEST If you go to the obgyn building here DO NOT go see MD Paul West. If you have any type of illness or condition he WILL NOT help you and he will discriminate agaisnt you for this. He will write you a pascription and move on and ignore other factors that are involved .I asked for a simple note stating my child might have frquent restroom breaks because of her condition for school and he bluntly rejected it twice saying he does not have in indication to do so. Thats part of your job sir when there is a medical reason that you are careing for and you clearly stated it would cause these issues. Don't see him he is discriminating and juges you if you get diagnosed with something.

Negative experience: Even if you call, your child will never get seen when they are sick by their pediatrician. Their answer is to go to urgent care but urgent care says that they should be evaluated by the pediatrician for repeat ear infections or chronic leg pain complaints. This place is ridiculous and needs a better system than just see wellness visits.

Negative experience: What type of doctor does an autism screening every 6 months when I have no concern, it’s not reflected on my documents AND the CDC recommends less than that. My child has had one done with EVERY appointment since birth and they make it impossible for us to not do the paperwork. 400+ bill for him to take a two second look and incorrect paperwork. SMH

Negative experience: Second floor laboratory where you get your blood drawn, is manned by incompetent personnel. Also, when you call in to make a lab appointment, why would they schedule a fasting lab for 3:00 p.m.?

Negative experience: No running water in the sink inside the women’s bathroom on 2nd floor. The only 2 elevators DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. The elevators take you to the 1st and 3rd floor repeatedly before it finally takes you to the 2nd floor. The vending machine on 2nd floor was OUT OF BOTTLED WATER. I can’t make this stuff up. This was the most terrible experience I ever had at a Baylor Scott and white facility. Please send maintenance ASAP! Clinics get too much money to not have operating facilities.

Negative experience: The pediatrician is fine. My main complaint is that I've been trying to get referrals moving forward for a severely autistic child. I need an official evaluation done outside of my daughter's school and multiple times, the referrals were put in, but nothing more was done. I've called several times and I'm no closer to getting these moving forward than I was when they were first put in two years ago. I want and need to find a hospital that is not Scott and White.

Fantastic experience: Always a good experience here with specialist doctors. Facility is easy to get to, ample parking. Be sure to use the check in on the first level then go to the designated floor for your appointment. Nurses are very polite and accommodating. My doctors that I’ve used here have been outstanding.

Negative experience: Crappiest office ever. I showed up for an important heart procedure that was fully covered by my insurance, and was instead told that I needed to pay 3000 dollars. When questioned why, the front desk told me that the best they could do was a 500 down payment and payment plan set up. So I had to cancel my procedure, and immediately got on the phone with my insurance company, who informed me again that my procedure was covered, and did not count as a deductible procedure. Avoid this place if you don’t want to be inconvenienced by having to cancel your appointments.

Negative experience: Some providers are great, others are not. They don’t communicate with each other well and have not communicated with me well recently. Nurses tend to be great and check in/out desk employees are always patient and kind. Billing took care of an issue with the office over charging and were kind and understanding.

Negative experience: The doctor's seem very good, and everyone is (usually) very friendly. But I strongly suggest you consider alternatives to BS&W if you need ongoing care from a specialist. I was contacted by their automated system about scheduling a needed specialist follow-up due this month (August) and offered as the first available opening February 2024. This has been the same with almost every doctor I've tried at BS&W - you will wait many months for a first appointment and then have the some problem after you are an established patient. Having a significant test done and then having to wait many months to meet with a PA or doctor about the results is problematic. Find doctors who are outside the BS&W system - they have universally been more readily available

Positive experience: I've been utilizing the various BSW locations for the last few years and my reviews have been 4-5. Now it's dropped to 3 because of your dropped masking/distancing protocol. I'm immunocompromised, on a strong immunosuppressant for an autoimmune disease. I've noticed some patients, staff, and providers still masking, while others don't. Worst of all is doctors and nurses who have direct patient contact, that don't. Both of which I've personally experienced. Any viral disease, especially covid, is dangerous to certain populations. As patients, we shouldn't have to continually ask providers and staff to follow protective protocols!

Negative experience: If I could give gastroenterology 0 stars I would. My doctor put in a order for my first colonoscopy to be done in August of 2022. Here it is March of 2023 & I still haven't heard from them. Yet they've had the order all this time. So as I'm making my other yearly appointments I called them to check on it. I was told that it would have to be reviewed which could take 1-2 weeks to do & that they would get back to me. Let's see how long it's gonna take this time. I pray that there's not but God forbid if there's something going on.

Negative experience: My doctor left without warning. Staff changed way too much. New staff rude and bad bedside manner. Doc himself isn’t bad but the system is. Having to stop up front with everyone else entering the building in a long line of taped off maze a double stroller can’t walk through let alone seeing specialists for injuries, pain, pediatrics and they’re always rude, no cheerfulness, and they take forever. They want all your personal information repeated out loud where everyone and anyone can hear is ridiculous. Last straw fighting to get my stroller through their barricaded rope maze is ridiculous to get to my appointment in pain mgmt for nerve blocks and they tell me I’m not checked in to go back and do it again after already running my card. Then instead of calling to see what issue was and fixing it they took another patient back instead. I hate it here. Eta NOW after calling someone else back instead of checking my check in, they say I’m checked in. And how they just can’t help anything and nothing is their fault. I effing can’t. The ONLY thing bsw has done was handled my stillbirth delivery with kindness. The rest I’ve given entirety too much grace for that one kindness. Seeking a better run clinic not overwhelmed with staff who actually care and not doing the least. Don’t bother with patient advocacy. They don’t answer, don’t call back and they don’t make you aware if your issues are resolved. Their door is locked and only one person in office when I went in person due to very poorly care and unprofessional issues. ETA NEVERMIND the incompetent new front check in staff didn’t correctly process my payment and I’m still sitting here so they can “check” why they didn’t process it. They cause you to be late for your appointments and won’t see you even if the line was the the fault. I shouldn’t have to get here anymore earlier than appts say because of their lines and slow unable staff. Oh and also because online it says “closed” until 8…. 7am appointments have no manager here and I’ve been waiting 40 mins past my appointment time.

Fantastic experience: I go to the Pulmonary Clinic. I see Dr. Tyagi for a few years now. He is fantastic, he is very caring and will take his time. He is the Best. Sometimes my appointment has to be changed, do to the doctors have to work in the ICU but I understand with the time we live in.

Positive experience: I loved going to this clinic for my child when I first moved into the area the NP is very polite and knowledgeable, and very interactive with her patients my only concern is when a problem was brought to her attention I had been blown off the first time due to the age of my child. then the second time when addressing the same concern I was my suggested to change my parenting style and for my child to see a Psychiatrist, after that didnt work I became fraustrated and request to involve the pediatrician and was basically told 2 hours prior to the appointment that it would take mutiple appointments to address my child's ADHD concerns because after specifically stating what the appointment was needed for prior to scheduling. I was only scheduled for a 15 minute appointment

Negative experience: The women who work at this location are rude. Especially in the cardiology department. This apples to the women behind the desks and who take the appointment phone calls. I’m about ready to look for different cardiologist so I don’t have to deal with any of these ladies. Seems like there’s no human compassion in the world anymore.

Positive experience: 6 months ago i went in to ENT to get a deviated septum. i still have a hard time breathing. i spent total of 4000 dollars out of pocket for the whole process (total cost is around $20,000. insurance paid) just to breath slightly better. they should have done a x ray first so we know what we are looking at. don't come here they will tell you what you want to hear, so they can get your money. edit: it has been over a year and there has been a improvement overall not to the point i want. my main problem are the turbinates. they swell to much i wish the doctor would have to that in to consideration. but over yes about a 20% improvement.

Negative experience: I had an appt today and was made to feel less than and that I was wasting the physicians time. I assumed I could get a heart check up,similar to a check up I had a few years ago, due to underlying issues but I guess things has changed. My primary care doctor referred me. I wonder does he treat all of his patients this way. He doesn’t have to waste his time with me as I will not be returning

Positive experience: Had to change pediatricians due to COVID (from another Killeen location). The security guard when you first enter isn’t ever friendly (I’ve visited this building multiple times). In terms of care, I saw Reyes & she was friendly, considerate & overall listened to what I had to discuss. The person checking my daughters vitals isn’t friendly either and has always seemed in a rush but the receptionists are always friendly & welcoming. I filled out surveys that Scott & White send after each visit too.

Negative experience: Went with two children that had abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea with my daughter. The children had no appetite for 2 days and we felt they were possibly dehydrated. As a grandmother I was disappointed by the bed side manner and lack of care given by Nicole Champion. She immediately said the toddlers both had the flu with no testing done. The youngest was the only one the had cold and flu symptoms. No offer to assist the 4 year old with severe abdominal pain. My daughter was told if she was not happy with the lack of care she could have went to the ER. Extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable to watch a LPRN hear a child moan in pain and the person not offer any relief. My daughter had to google search a medicine to help stop the vomiting and request it from her. A LPRN acting as a MD was not acceptable. The worse pediatric visit I have EVER seen

Negative experience: Took my child in to see her because the regular doctor wasn’t available. He had shots a day previous and had a rash from the injection. I explained he had not had any rashes before that. She then proceeded to explain it could be the soap I was using. I didn’t change soaps and it was very obvious timeline wise that it was from the injection he had gotten. She wasn’t concerned and kept going back to either change in soap or detergent I was using for myself which hadn’t changed. Didn’t listen to concerns just came up with her own thoughts about it without me indicating any of that was true. I wouldn’t waste my time with this provider if you are looking for answers to problems that have occurred. Very uninterested.

Negative experience: Every time I come here for an appointment, the wait is soooooo long. If my appointment is @ 1:20pm & “I am your first patient of your shift” then why has 20 minutes went by and I still haven’t been seen? It’s been a year plus since I’ve been here & now I’m realizing why I haven’t been back in such a long time. This happens EVERY TIME even when I was getting seen while I was pregnant. Horrible.

Negative experience: Unable to see my pulmonologist in six months now. According to them all pulmonologist have been rescheduled to work in the Covid ICU ward. Scott and White the largest hospital in the area can not see their regular patients.

Negative experience: Everyone on the phones is very rude. First off my momma always taught me that you are to greet people by their name with a good morning, afternoon, or good night, which I did and it was not reciprocated. I called to have a prescription refilled, and was sent down a rabbit hole, Kathy the pulmonary nurse didn't seem to want to help me, & seemed annoyed with me when I was trying to explain the situation, even while I was giving her the name of the prescribing doctor, & the name of the medication. People should learn to treat other adults with better manners. Not to mention that their co-pays are ridiculous for such a facility, & part of these co-pays go to the rude nurses, & staff.

Fantastic experience: I'm really glad I didn't read these reviews before I started taking my son to this clinic. We have had a wonderful experience every time. We have been coming here for almost three years and I wouldn't want my daughter to go any where else. We lost his first provider during COVID, she was amazing. However the first appointment with Dr. Reyes let me know they would be in good hands. The receptionists and nursing staff is always respectful and courteous. Every time I have had to take my children in for a concern I was able to get them in same day. I love the Hemingway building and the care they provide for my children.

Negative experience: Had a appointment yesterday and was asked at last minute if it can be a video call. No problem. Was told a link would Be sent to my phone. 15 minutes after my initial appointment time I called and was informed the dr was finishing up with a another client. No problem. Another 20 mins go by a nurse calls me and tells me she’s sending a link. I get the link and wait another 40-45 mins in a video chat lobby with no message or call. I called twice to make sure I wasn’t forgotten but all of a sudden they aren’t answering and I’m getting sent to voicemail. After my last attempt I left a voicemail. I was not seen nor contacted back. Waited 2 months for this appointment for my asthma that continues to put me in the hospital. I don’t recommend this place at all!

Negative experience: I wish I had read the reviews before wasting mine and my children's time. The nurse practitioner who saw my youngest daughter for her first visit didn't take my concerns about her allergies seriously, she seemed annoyed when I was explaining my concerns with her. I kept asking her about getting an allergy screening, but she was hesitant at first. She said they normally don't test until after age 4 for allergies. I had to keep explaining her symptoms and reactions for her to agree at the end of the appointment. Then to find out no appointments were available for allergy testing until January 25th. It was quite frustrating. I had an appointment for my oldest to get her depo shot, and well visit they called me to cancel the day before her appointment, and told me to reschedule with an obgyn. Obgyn doesn't have any appointments until a month out. I don't get the feeling that patient care is a priority with this clinic, so I'll look elsewhere for better care, and service. So disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I just love Baylor Scott & White, and what a blessing to have the specialty clinic. I love my Drs there. They're very professional, knowledgeable, and loving. The other personal including the nurses treat u with excellent bedside manner. I really feel good after I leave. In this time of the pandemic being overflowed with caring for patients, fitting u in. I don't mind waiting on the best of care.

Negative experience: What’s the point in making an appointment when you don’t keep the times. People make appointments because they have taken time out of their day to schedule it at a time that works for them. Some people don’t have to time to sit and wait for an hour passed their scheduled time. Then when they check on what the hold up is get some rude smart remarks about needing to be patient and that they are backed up like it’s your fault they are running an hour behind. Unprofessional.

Negative experience: The pediatrician office is awesome, but the ENT office is extremely unprofessional, rude and uneducated. Have been going in circles trying to get my daughter's tonsillectomy completed for 6 months. They gave her a FALSE positive covid test causing her surgery to be cancelled, had to again visit with Dr. Yael Kreitman Willingham where I complained about the false test they gave my daughter, she pretty much threatened that the surgery could cause injuries in the most gruesome way. Her demeanor was completely different from the initial visit. The emotional stress all together from this office has pushed us to demand a referral to a different office. Avoid the hemingway clinics ENT. Response: Contacting your company got me no where. To get answers on my daughter's covid testing I got answered via FACEBOOK! Took 10+ days to post my daughter's supposed positive test. Hoping others can avoid this Dr. and office so they don't have to put their children through the same emotional experience my daughter went through.

Negative experience: Hoping that whoever goes here and gets Jessica Sumner DO, understands that if you have major hormonal imbalances and get depression- even after ASKING for help, sorry but she'll most likely gloss over everything you say, give you robotic responses, not respond properly, act cold while she's paying attention, and recommend a BOOK to help a problem you've been dealing with for half a year. LOL, knowing apart of my money ends up in the pockets of people who really don't care is beyond infuriating. What a waste of my time, money, and emotions.

Negative experience: I only put one star because I can't put zero. I went here because it's what my insurance would cover. I got pre-approved, told my co-pay, then made the appointment. I live almost an hour away. At the appt, I requested a specific blood test that I've needed in the past, and though the doctor assured me I'd get it, when I went to the lab, I asked the phlebotomist over and over what test she was collecting for, to no response. I knew they weren't getting enough vials. Sure enough, they didn't do what I asked. I checked the price again with the checkout person, she assured me all was covered on my insurance, I paid my co-pay and left. TWO YEARS LATER I started getting bills for this appointment. I called, told them I already paid my co-pay, and that none of those charges should be there, and they assured me they'd fix it. A month later, another bill. Another phone call. Over the next year, after bills and bills, and collection companies harassing me and spending countless hours on the phone, someone FINALLY fixed it (or so it seems for now). It took them 2 years to bill me incorrectly, and another year to fix their own mistake. I will NEVER go to Baylor Scott and White again. This was the most horrible medical experience, and I am appalled they treat their patients this way.

Negative experience: Went to see a physician assistant. They charged my insurance company approximately $1100.00 to walk in the doctor exam room. That's crazy. I would never go to any BSW facility with the crazy charges. In addition during this virus time my insurance company didn't require me to pay a co-pay but the doctors office made me pay anyway. I was told by my insurance company this was no supposed to happen and I would receive a refund from BSW. I haven't seen this refund from my visit in May and am not confident I will even see a refund from BSW.

Negative experience: Made an appointment a month and a half ago after going to the ER with severe cramping from endo/pcos and they recommended i see my OBGYN. just moved down here and heard that this was a good office. I made the appointment end of July, waited until today ( sept 14) for my appointment. I’m on my way to the appointment when i get a call that they need to reschedule, and can’t get me in for another MONTH. i live everyday with severe endo pain and am now without a doctor, i canceled a trip i was supposed to go on this week so I could make this appointment because of the discomfort i’ve been feeling. Extremely unprofessional and will be looking elsewhere for care.

Fantastic experience: This review is for the OBGYN department: I have never had one single issue with any of the staff members here. I loved the nurses here and my doctor, Dr. Eye. She listened and let me take the lead in my own health decisions. I never had any issues with her and would definitely recommend her. When I delivered my daughter, she was the exact type of doctor I needed. My labor went so smoothly and she had a big part to do with that. If I ever have another child, I’d choose her as my doctor again.

Negative experience: Honestly super disappointed in this place right now. I found out I was pregnant May 19th. Called and made an appointment that day for June 9th, they called and canceled the appointment, and rescheduled to June 26th. I went in today and was told I couldn't be seen because my doctor was in a delivery, which I understand completely because you obviously can't schedule those things. However, my issue is now that the earliest appointment they had with any of the doctors was July 10th. So now I have to wait another 2 weeks to even find out if my pregnancy is viable or okay or have any questions answered. I'm very concerned that they think it's okay for a woman to be days away from her second trimester before she gets seen. If you can avoid this place, you should. Unfortunately it's my only option because the next closest place is 45 minutes away. Hopefully I actually get to see a doctor on July 10th and hopefully my experience with the actual doctor is better than it has been with the scheduling at the front desk. Update: they rescheduled my appointment for a sooner date after I talked to enough people. Then today they just called again to reschedule! I have now been rescheduled at this clinic 5 different times for 1 appointment!!! I am making the sacrifice of driving an hour to a better office who doesn't suck at scheduling.

Fantastic experience: I'm big on reviews. I must say I truly like this office. My son sees Dr. Minsloff I love her! I did see Dr. Nicholas first she was great to. Just like Dr. Minsloff a little better. The staff is nice. I havent had any issues hard to believe anyone has. Would recommend this place. ONLY issue is appointments are so far out! They're busy.

Negative experience: I saw the pain management doctors at the Killeen Hemmingway Bldg for more than three years before taking a break to have surgery. When I went for my appointment this morning I waited more than an hour past my appointment time(not uncommon) and then the PA spends five minutes with me to tell me I have to start the whole pain management process over. Absolutely absurd.

Positive experience: My neurologist is the best one ive had so far with my seizures even though he has no idea what to do about my auto immune disorder tjat he has no idea if its m.s. or. Lupus so he wants me to go to a rheumatologist but never refered me. So i guess ill be making some calls to see if he can refer me ... Negative experience: I had canker sores. Painful sores on my tongue and mouth. So bad I couldn't eat for days. I explain all this to the Gastro Doctor. She doesn't write me an antibiotic . It was disappointing I was thriving in pain, had a swallow tongue and mouth I didn't eat for almost a week.. There wasn't anything they could give me. explaining to her what I had. She said she was unsure what was causing it and gave me a referral to another doctor. I just felt like she could temporary written me a script even for two days. Anything to stop the inflaming of my mouth. That's what I wanted medication to stop mouth being inflamed.

Negative experience: They cancelled an appointment I made over a month ago (and confirmed over 2 weeks ago) and didn't call me to notify me. They cancelled it exactly one week before the date of my appointment (without my permission or knowledge) and had no explanation for me when I showed up after driving an hour and a half to be there. They told me someone from an entirely different location cancelled it, and when I called that location they placed the blame on the other guys. Since there was nothing I could really do about it I at least wanted to know what happened, how, and why. After sitting on the phone for a total of 40 minutes they had no answers for me, said there was nothing they could do but reschedule me, and said that someone dropped the ball and there was a miscommunication somewhere along the line but no one wanted to own up to it.

Negative experience: Went this morning for my Daughtes hearing appointment and they treated her bad sayin she dont have insurance and they cancled are appointment with out us knowing stateing they called which we have proof they didn't. And they were unable to tell me why they cancled it and also once we showed proof that she does have insurance they still wouldn't see her a 3 year old girl. We was ther on time had everythng we needed and mind you this app was made by another Doc but jus cause tha lady up front was unwilling to help my daughter couldn't be seen . So i advice if your kids have a appointment or nethng there i WOULD go some were else so your kids will be treated better..

Negative experience: Been coming to this Clinic for the past 2-3 years for RFA injections in my neck. Today will be my last visit to this facility. Appointment WAS at 0800 am, 0905 right now. Confirmed appointment two days ago fir my procedure, got sent back to speak with a PA this morning to chat about what I needed.... Told him and front desk i was here for procedure not check, in which PA THOUGHT I was here for a check up. Got sent back to waiting room to bottom of last behind folks that had appointments AFTER me. Front desk personnels apathetic attitude definelty does nothing to help the situation. I encourage everyone that reads this to go elsewhere. If this was the first occasion of this type of care it would be one thing, but most the time it's the same thing....1-2 hours late. BTW, I spent 21 years in charge of an Emergency Department of a Major Medical Center, so I do have a little experience in what is Right Or Wrong. Pathetic

Negative experience: The best Dr at the clinic did leave about a year ago and now so did I. I was told there was nothing they could do for me cause it was in my head. Seriously. I let you experience it and then you can tell me that. I left Advanced Pain Care in RoundRock for the convenience of Hemingway. Biggest mistake of my life. I am back at advanced pain care who now has a clinic in Killeen. I highly recommend them and they are now doing something about my pain bc they discovered where my problem is. Dr T, I'm just not sure about. You see more of his PAs than you do him and they are useless.
