Killeen Free Clinic: Reviews
Negative experience: I wasn't even able to finish telling the lady what was going on to get an appointment. She told me I'd have better luck just going to the er and that THEY COULDN'T HELP ME. Don't waist your time, this place is a joke XD.
Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at the community care. I’ve had insurance since a child so I’ve never been to a community care clinic. I will be honest and say I was a little hesitant about taking my mom there at first. Once she was approved I called a few times no answer then looked at the reviews and was doubtful but I waited and gave another chance. I got answer around 11am and the young lady was very nice and helpful. I came in after 1 and the door was locked but I called and they explained why. Once I came in all of the staff was very friendly and professional. I had the assumption that my mother wouldn’t have an appt til May but was given April. I work in the health care industry and I couldn’t imagine having to lock my office door for my safety and still provide great customer service with a smile. Thank you for all you do! Everyday won’t be great
Fantastic experience: They are always nice and willing to help
Fantastic experience: Me gusta, el personal amable buena atencion lo malo es que la citas estan muy lejos
Fantastic experience: I've been coming to the clinic for awhile now to get my meds. Cassandra is always so sweet & compassionate. The doctors have been good. There's 1 that I wasn't @ all impressed with. I'll address her if I get a chance to see her again. Other than that it's good.
Positive experience: Can't complain for what it cost. It's better than nothing. And no clinic is perfect
Positive experience: Can't complain for what it cost. It's better than nothing. And no clinic is perfect
Negative experience: They don't bother to answer the phone. Ever.
Fantastic experience: Without insurance I can get most of my medications.
Negative experience: I was given medicine that expired over a year ago.. Then treated like I was in the wrong. I guess I am not supposed to listen to the FDA guide lines. They have posted within a year medication is ok. Well over a year is just to long. This is a great place for help. But, if you’re just giving bad medicine. What help are you? Plus I had let my doctor know months ago. I felt my medication wasn’t working. Also they rarely answer the phone. I understand it is free service. But I believe that a patient’s health and safety should still matter. I spoke with a manager named Tony Garcia and he seemed very upset about me complaining about the medicine out of date. I made a complaint on the staff a few months ago. So I am sure they know who I am.
Fantastic experience: Not a patient here but volunteered .. great service.
Negative experience: My daughter has been seen at this clinic and CONSTANTLY has issues with them answering the phones. She has been out of her diabetic and cholesterol medications for at least 2-3 weeks. I have called with my phone this morning 8 -10 times and it always goes to a voicemail that is not set up yet. How is this a service to better our community and assist those in medical need that cannot or do not have insurance. As a nurse, I find this an issue. I realize there is a huge influx of patients that may go in and out. But simply answering the phone and returning phone calls is essential to providing a successful service. This is definitely a contributing factor to the increase in medical conditions and the crisis we have in our field.
Negative experience: This place dose not open on time the door says 8am the website says 0830 and it’s almost 09
Fantastic experience: All of the employees here appear to be so compassionate and empathetic. They truly seem to care and do the most for everybody that needs their assistance, which I have never seen at a medical facility before coming here. They are always radiating with positivity and willing to help, especially with their limited resources and staffing. Keep in mind that they may be difficult to contact at times; however, they have so many patients to attend to with very limited amount of time and staff, it is not because they don't want to help. What they do for the community is so amazing and I am forever grateful for their help, especially when I needed it. I highly recommend coming here.
Negative experience: they do not ever answer the phone , is there another number that isnt posted or do you just walkin
Negative experience: Tried calling 6 times in last 3 days. Left them 2 voicemails no answer at. Your better off going to a regular hospital especially if it's for mental health. You'll get a quicker response
Negative experience: Service is VERY RUDE receptionist have no manners nor patience with their customers.
Negative experience: Terrible Customer Service.
Positive experience: Very clean !calm ,nice people who seem to care for the patient ..Service today was very fast! got rt in with my appt seen the doctor ...Ty for your care .
Fantastic experience: Staff is amazing. They have helped me so much words aren't enough to express my gratitude especially when you have nothing and need health taken care of they came thru on numerous occasions.
Negative experience: wow. the absolute SLOWEST place i have ever been to. waiting dam near 3 and half hours with ONE other person in here for my sister to get preg. test. ridiculous
Fantastic experience: Very good. I think they are actually considerate and you do have to pay a donation of $10-30 but if you can't for any reason, they do offer a first time waiver. Like if you forgot your wallet or something or like myself that I was not aware of the donation and didn't have cash or my purse on me actually. I had just brought my id in my pocket. They eventually want proof of income, but that's fair enough. I think for a 1-3 time fast in and out type of thing, that's less than a meal; It's pretty good. I definitely appreciate them and whoever is behind offering these facilities and service. God bless them more. Also, if you have something they can't figure out, they do recommend you to a Specialist, which you do have to finance and they also offer a charity program if you qualify which can cover the visit, haven't actually gone that far yet, but they explained it to me. They give you free temp medicine that might or might not work in the meantime, but it's better than having nothing. I say if you can't afford a Doctor, you should be appreciative of these type of clinics and not be complaining to the nine. And you get a basically free, first attempt at saving you thousand of dollars. And all ya'll here that spend way more on wigs and beauty product and or junk, shouldn't be complaining about 10-20 bucks donation for you health.
Fantastic experience: Love those folks.
Fantastic experience: They are caring and help me with my meds
Positive experience: Will see after I get thru the line
Positive experience: There very respectable.
Positive experience: I had a good experience here!!!
Fantastic experience: Real nice
Positive experience: The clinic is OK. It use to be better. It is no longer free you have to pay around 20-30 per visit and for most of your prescriptions.
Positive experience: How can they ask people to wait outside with sick people and smoking people.
Negative experience: Unless you really don't have insurance and desperately need them,I would highly recommend going to a real doctor because here you get expired medicine and they get you out quickly. The female doctor is very rude and she doesn't listen to any concerns you might have. And fyi it's not free you have to pay a donation of $20 to $30.
Fantastic experience: My kids do not have health insurance. This summer we did a lot of swimming and my 5 year caught an ear infection. If it wasn't for this clinic I would have had to pay 100's of dollars just for my child to be seen and that's not even including the antibiotics. Thanks to them I didn't have to pay a dime. I did donate, I was very pleased.
Fantastic experience: I am so very grateful for their help! Most volunteers are very nice and helpful.
Negative experience: I waited today since 3 pm to be seen but because I didn't have a bench along the wall to set on and I have been bleeding since Dec 18th and need to set cause I am week and dizzy so I set on the rocks people who came in after me got seen and also if you can drive a new car and ware Jordan's maybe you could afford insurance I hope the are checking income correctly.
Negative experience: I called and the lady on the phone was seriously rude, I definitely will never go here free or not free.
